1. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY A FEW MORE WEEKS. YAAAAAAAAAAAAY. > > And you never specified! So... yeah. BUT I HAPPY. X3
2. If you had bothered to read the rest of the posts, Falsh, you would understand what we have been fighting against with people who don't seem to understand the issue. We have been repeating over and over again that February is a damaging player-- not an asset. Newbies who get capped at mp3 without any kind of knowledge of how to play the game go on to mp4, and get theirselves stuck in stat damage because they don't know how to set up a decent ritual, or even how to use some of the basics, I am sure. February, upon this thread being made, has not changed his ways, from what I have understood, and continues to do as he has been. An innocent man would change what he does, and get himself back straight and narrow. February is not. He follows a crooked path for a crooked player with the malicious intent of capping newbies. :/
3. Whoot! Finally, someone who lives relatively close to me... > > Yaaaaaaay. And it'll be closer since I do plan on moving to Cali. : D
4. My wonderful buddy, Eon, who is wonderful and awesome and knowledgable, if a bit stalkerish... ; ; IS LEAVING MD FOR THE ARMY. Not right, man not at all. u u But anywho... You will be missed, my friend, with your quiet staring, collecting knowledge... being a dirty little stalker, helping newbies [such as myself when the time came around], and your cute little jokes [well, not cute but they made me laugh. :c]. I would like to think you were an asset to MD, and a valuable player when it came to helping the newbies. You will certainly be missed, if not by others, then certainly by me. Do take care of yourself, and be safe. AND KEEP IN TOUCH. ; ; Please and thank you.
5. u u And I just got a beating from Tarqui... And yes, I saw the pictures on Toten's gallery... makes me sad that I won't be able to attend to any future ones. :c AND MYA. Who knew you could be such a smarty? > > I'd include something else, but I'll leave it at that...
6. :c I sorry. I was wanting to make a post saying who in for a random... MD get together thing, but, yeah. NOW I FEEL BAD. Oh, by the way: Peacey: YOU ARE SO PRETTY.
7. Uhm... I don't think So, Rendril. > > You live in Africa...
8. MD as in Maryland.. or.. OR ARE YOU TRAPPED INSIDE OF MAGICDUEL~?!
9. So, I was having this crazy WHACKED OUT* conversation with Kyphis, and he came up with this idea to ask people What state they live in. So, I go okay, and well. I'm a social butterfly [When I want to be] And well. I like to meet new people and hang out and share stories and just do crazy stuff. And as thus: What state are you from? : D I actually, for starters: Live in Idaho. *It wasn't really whacked out, I'm just in a crazy mood [as you can tell with the crazy fonts and such.] **reason for editing: I forgot to put my own state.
10. YAAAAAAYYYYY HAPPY BIRTHDAY. : D I still feel shocked that I'm older... but hey! >> I can pick on you still.. Just don't grow old and haggard. :c That would be bad... yes, yes. Very bad.
11. I do agree with just labeling it as 2010-11 and such like that. I think that if we round up the veteran Rpers, it would also make a good game. However, what I am also trying to steer away from is the 'people who always do everything and are known for always doing everything.' Not that I would mind, but, I do want the general public to have a chance to participate and show what they got.
12. Mp6

Curiose replied to Darigan's topic in General Forum
While I agree with wanting to leave MP6 for training, the other reasoning I do not agree with. I do not agree with taking the lazy approach when dealing with your adepts. In some sense, I do find it a bit insulting when you call them inactive when they either: A. Show independence from their Mp6 B. Are not around whenever the Mp6 is. When I play the game, I don't always see Pample around, nor does that always mean I pester her a lot with questions. Players play as they will and you can't call them inactive when a good portion of them are possibly from the other end of the world. Would you find it easy to contact someone who is 10 + hours ahead of you for assistance? I'm not here to chide, nor am I here to lecture. But rather, you might want to change how you look at the situation instead of saying things like your people are not active. Even so, life does get in the way. Are you going to tell someone who has troubles outside of the game that they're inactivity is what has caused you to drop? Perhaps it is all circumstantial, but even so you have to put these things into account. Adding adepts willy nilly just to get your goal whatever that may be, is silly and more or less selfish almost.
13. If you want to participate and share what's on your papers, we will still need to have your works so that we can share them because: 1. Person may have wanted to attend, and yet may not have been able to. 2. Something has somehow destroyed your works and there is still a valid copy. 3. For future referencing. 4. To allow judging of said piece if needed by the kings or otherwise.
14. Curi's Corner Update: Added "No Title" 9/11/10 Story Night short story. Enjoy.
15. I see... I see... makes more sense to capture Zebooterfly, then...
16. I do have to agree with Kafuuka on this. Since it is a single case, I don't think such... strong measures need to be taken in this situation. I'm not suggesting we slap February on the wrist and say Good Job, but rather, we look at the situation and figure out what needs to be done for this specific person. I don't like the idea of changing the entire game mechanics just because of one person. I don't like the idea of younger players being capped so early as the next person, but I do believe this has been blown out of proportion. What I am suggesting, however, is preventative measures. We all go to the Dojo every now and then, and we all in some form have connections to the other players. We know what has happened, and I am sure that no one wants it done again. Think of this objectively, not subjectively, people. We lose all credibility once we let our emotions speak, instead of our brains. How do you expect to sway someone emotionally, when what you say puts up a huge barrier that makes them want to tune out completely? Please, it has been drawn out long enough.
17. ... Oh, Pooh. Why'd he act so shady, then?
18. lepus: *yawns looks at bob & puts some water around his roots, curls back on the ground & goes back to sleep* night bob : Zleiphneir glances left and right and smears some green stuff on certain particular areas of Bob WHAT IS ZIS? Zebooterfly is... is... SMEARING stuff on Bob!? Quite odd indeed...
19. The reasons why we're so cryptic, and can't say most things because it is a spoiler, is because it ruins the game play not only of that particular person, but of other players as well. If you stick your neck in long enough, it won't seem so hard, and you'll learn to understand the meaning. MD is not just a game that you go clicking around in, and ask people for all the answers, it's a mentally challenging, and stimulating one. If you ask more general questions, then people would be able to help you more. People will help you to the highest degree they can, but not if you give them that chance to. If you storm off frustrated because no one is giving you the answer you're looking for, what do you gain from that? There is nothing wrong with MD's rules. Attacking idle players while at the Dojo is so that the younger, active, players who are just LEARNING the process have a chance to figure things out on their own. That is why we set up the sign in that area. They can get the losses and wins that they need, without the feeling of predation from other players, despite the fact that it still happens. I would say that I am sorry to see you go, but if you haven't bothered trying to play MD, I have no words for you.
20. Welcome! We will try our hardest not to eat-- er... scare you too much. ; D Anywho, antics aside: Do explore a bit, perhaps you might find some things interesting and find yourself a role to play in this wonderful world of MD.
21. Since I don't necessarily role play, my 'character' if you will, has been created simply out of my reputation. I'm known as the Mad Mushroom Worshiping Lady of the Legend Speakers. You don't need to have a fixed character in mind; just be you, and as you go along in the world, something of that sort will come to mind. But I do agree with what Fyrdy has said, and I believe you should follow his words of wisdom. : 3
22. Curiose replied to Muratus del Mur's topic in Offtopic
I was once told something from someone who I know sees the world differently than I do. "Being lost is a good thing. It allows you to remember your surroundings better, and not pass them by as pages in a book." I find truth in that meaning. The sense of being lost is just a temporary feeling. If you know where you are, you cannot possibly be lost, right? But that is wrong. You can know where you are, and yet be suffocated by the words and reasonings of people, the myriad of voices, and thoughts; people walking hastily by. To become lost, is a sense of recognition. Its a sense of ambition. You feel the natural urge to move forward, and become unlost. You spend more detail to things than you have before if you were not lost. Perhaps I am rambling, and perhaps I am not. To this day, I cannot remember who has spoken that quote to me, but I hope that these.. ramblings, if you call them that, can be of help. I hope you find what you are looking for, and I hope all goes well for you in the future. Curiose.
23.
To get something you wrote into Story Night simply PM Kyphis or me the finished version of your work.
Please remember to do this, otherwise we cannot include you. :c I will also be accepting pieces, but please put them in my Forum PM box so that I can give them to the two stated above. Thank you.
24. So judging that your name is eggs... We should get together some time and make Egg mushroom omeletes!~ [I know how it feels to be constantly... eaten.]
25. Fun tree fact: The only way you can actually kill a tree without chopping it down is by stripping a ring of bark around it. It disrupts the xylem and the phloem pathways which are water and oxygen "highways" that keep the tree alive. So, basically, if you carve something into the tree, you're not really harming it, because it can still receive its nutrients from all other sides of itself. Just my one cent. : D Actually, I correct myself. You want to get rid of the cork of which is made up of the xylem and the phloem. If you get rid of the bark, you're just leaving it vulnerable to pests and disease. [Yes, trees are susceptible to disease] Also: When you see the rings on a tree that's cut? Those are dead cork rings, meaning, once again, the xylem and the phloem. The darker the rings are, the less water there is [meaning summer, or winter], and vice versa. The wider the rings are, also indicates the season of a tree.. but I cannot remember what. Yay for tree facts! WHOOOOO.
