  1. I had spoken to Fyrd about this a little bit, and to be frank, even -I- am upset about this. It's not just because we're asking people to write things for -US- the Legend Speakers, but ffs, this isn't even what the Alliance is about! We're a serious group, not some botched copy of the MDNP. My apologies to those who are upset. Edit: Actually, let me go on a rant, and a bit of a tangent here. I. am. FURIOUS. I have been furious ever since I ever heard the idea. Fyrd's plan is to get people 'interested' in the drama and politics of MD. WE ARE -NOT- DRAMA WHORES. [Pardon my language.] As the only other Alliance Member, I find that I have EVERY right to protest against this and I am doing so right now. I voiced my opinions to Fyrd privately, but let me state them here: We are LEGEND Speakers. We speak of the past, and we have creative input. Our ROLE is not to bloody stir the pot any more than it has. I know that under new leadership must come new ideas but this is RIDICULOUS. With all due respect to my "leader," I honestly must say that I do not respect this idea at all.
  2. New reward submitted including further details about the quest. : D
  3. I'm not even sure if to consider that a real job posting.
  4. Inno and I were thinking about something like that in the Archives, however it was more of a joke than anything. Ours was more comical, as in, the book would fwap you on the head upon doing something bad in the archives, or just by entering. I like Mya's idea more, though. Would a player have to click the book to get it to be set off, or would they be attacked just by entering the room? If it's for entering the room, there could be like.. an item that it's guarding or something.
  5. [b]Session 11/13/10[/b] 1. The Farmer Who Looked Up: Observations from the Country Side -Nice metaphors. -I wanted to read more. The feelings were there, but seemed to end too soon 2. Yoko and Kiko -Good for off the cuff, could have more impact. -I like how the young boy realized he had power too. 3. Poem: Writing is Work -Insightful, well-thought out and well-written -I understand the part about 'writing is work'. I had a difficult time judging this one. 4. Poem Read by Peace -Tidy, neat writing. -A beautiful poem.

  8. Ope! my bad, Rumi! I couldn't remember if Kyphis had sent you your credits or not... If you like, PM me your ID so I can pass it on to him.
  9. Thank you, Mur! Please let me know when you have something for me to do. Yay! I'll write you a PM Tarqui.
  10. Really? You seriously have to make a post about this? The "subtle" status remarks weren't annoying enough, but this? Ridiculous. He'll get to the bloody rewards hen he can.
  11. Gifts! Christmas Gifts, to be exact. Since I am a fairly poor player and don't have much to my name, I thought to do more for the community by doing odd "jobs" here and there for people in exchange of gifts that I will be giving people for Christmas. I don't really know what MD would consider credentials for jobs, but I can do pretty much anything and everything that I'm asked to. However, I do take my work seriously and I appreciate it if people don't jip me of the exchange for gifts. If you don't like what I am doing, then you can fire me and I'm sure I can find someone else. There are a few things that I absolutely will not do which include: -Things I consider degrading -Harmful to the public -Things against the rules -Things against my moral code [Basically, I just want you to use your head to figure out what would be acceptable not only to me, but to the community] The reason why I am doing this is because I [b]HATE[/b] asking for things, especially for gifts and prizes in general which come from the hard work of other people. So, if you wouldn't mind, please post your "job" openings here so that I may get started on them for you. I really appreciate your help very much and I hope everyone would be pleased with me work. If anyone has any qualms about this, please write me a PM or such and we can discuss it that way. Edit: Oh, and the gifts don't have to be anything very large. Just something to show my appreciation with. : 3 Curiose.

  14. When I can't sleep, it's normally because I have a lot of things on my mind, or I'm pent up. This is where my heated blanket comes in. Turn it up on high, snuggle up in bed with a single blanket on top with a good bunch of pillows and such, lights off, blinds down, and I am allll ready to go in my little box of a room. Man, I love basements. bwahahaha. But, nothing's better than having someone to cuddle up to. Ooooh that hits the spot. =3=
  15. Thank you very much!
  16. As of late, getting rewards for people is getting to be fairly strained, and I do apologize for being extremely late with everyone getting their rewards, but, we are doing the best we can. Currently, we are in HEAVY need for Sponsors, and I could really use your help to keep Story Night going and to keep people happy. I don't want to downsize our reward system just because we don't have the funds to do it, but it may be necessary to do so in order to at least give people something for their hard work. If you feel that you could donate your help and your time to keep Story Night going as it is, please state it here, and what you are willing to donate. Prizes used for Story Night: Credits, Silver, Gold, and Creatures. Wishpoint codes are under control, but thank you everyone for your generosity and your help. Curiose.
  17. Not to sound off topic or what not, or to start a forum war but: Roland. I can't help but decide whether you have either: A. Lost it. B. Completely snapped for whatever reason because you've been suppressing this pent of anger or C. Complete shitfaced, i.e. drunk. Either way, I find your post to be completely disrespectful and even more so out of character. I find no meaning whatsoever as to why you would even say what you said. Even so, what you said was unnecessary.
  18. I personally haven't tried this, but my Social Science teacher taught me once the best way to study: If you're studying something for a test, and say.. for example, it's math, you use the left side [creative hemisphere] of your brain to better convey the information. The same goes for creative things. By using both sides of your brain, you learn things a lot easier, including you remember it more. In that same lecture, he said that if you think of a specific time you want to wake up in the morning, all you have to do is repeat it before you go to bed and your brain is wired to wake up at that time. Personally, I have done this and it works from time to time. : 3 But it's always good to have an alarm clock just in case.
  19. Fyrdy, you also have to take in mind activity, too. If there is an inactive leader, someone might as well step up to the plate and take over, ja?
  20. :3 Understandable. How you choose to become someone's adept is simply do the following: 1. Underneath the live help button would be a compass rose looking thingy with a maxed design around it [not sure what that is exactly.] 2. There should be a box underneath your wins and losses that will state: Here is where you can change who you are adept of. 3. Enter in the name of whom you would like to be an adept of and you're set to go. To Worship: 1. To worship, you must be MP4. 2. Complete step one in the above steps. 3. There should be another box that will say that you can enter a name to worship, and you're good. When Worshipping, at MP4, you can send heat to your Protector. You need at least 250 or more to send. At MP5 you need at least 500. To accomplish that, you go to the same Compass Rose and there will be a box that will have: Pray (give heat). When you Pray, you send the heat to your Protector to heal people or use other sort of spells. You gain 1 loyalty point which is used to determine Alliance Leaders and also items in shop. Once you get a Protector, there will be instructions on how to abandon your Protector, the criteria of which you need to do so, and the punishment if you actually follow through. I hope this helped!
  21. Update: If you are willing to help out with Story Night, we are always more than willing to accept people to help Sponsor our Event.
  22. It would be in your best interest if you go to the Story Night Section under Groups and Factions.

  23. Same here. : 3 If you want a Christmas card or something, Write me a PM and I will certainly give you my address!
  24. In the matter of living a life, I think it all comes down to self-importance, in a sense. If you value yourself, or if you value the overall idea of life, then perhaps one is more willing to take what they have moreso than one who is strictly apathetic, and allows their body to degrade and become what is now a preconception of the United States' ciizens. But anywho. After death, one no longer has the right to manipulate things around them [unless you believe in ghosts, and an afterlife, etc.]. To me, I believe death to be something short, while having an everlasting impact, i.e. for instance the death of Poe. He may not have lived a completely meaningful life, but at the same time, he became renowned for his stories after his death, including other writers whom I can't remember the name of. I may be skirting around the question a bit [personally it feels like I am circumventing again] but the point I am getting to is simply: Each side has their own coin. However, I do believe that a death meaningful enough to surpass that of one's achievements in life is indeed more meaningful than that of one sitting in front of a television. But then one has to define what exactly -is- meaningless, for one simply living as a hermit could have just as great an impact on the rest of the world but have their life considered meaningless.
  25. I understand. I really have no qualms about what you say in this matter, Mur.
