  4. The way I see it. Mur tried to create a world, where most of the bad human habits could be avoided. But since we are all humans there always will be some of us, who don't actually want to create a different character than themselves. So they invent a name and enter the game. And this is how the bad human nature overruns this world. It's unavoidable as long as we stay on our current state of mind. When the humankind advances to the next state, then MD could live up to my and many others expectations. So far we have many tools, but I personally can't afford the time to even explore how they work. MD is a fine world to live in, but we can't physically do that.

  6. *laughs* I just looove such topics. Mur, you have a nice way of forcing people to talk. I will continue to say nothing, and the reasons are, in some twisted way (real life elections, of which I am part of right now), too much related with MD. I have asked few of the more active (in my opinion) Necrovion sitizens if I can be of assistance, but no definitive answers so far. Right now I see the ship just floating with an unknown current, and few of the active crew have abandoned it already. Maybe some of the reasons come from the fact that, as Pipstickz has stated a quote from the Announcement, we are using the "wait&see" tool right now, rather than taking any actions. You always leave the door "some time in the future things will change and fall into place", so we have taken that route. A history document is written when a happening has ended. If the events are still in motion how can we write about them in a historic document?

  10. Well, so far for me only Kyphis and nad got constructive ideas. Keep in mind that in MD there is no "justice" aside the one WE can provide and/or enforce. Sorry for the non-constructive post, but time is pressuring me from every possible angle.

  16. We can see that, but what's bothering me is that I see no "law" in the way it is working. I have seen this effect in many battles, but since I can't really draw a conclusion from the logs I just let it be.

Burns, this is extraction from Phinneas's log from round 3 through round 7, I saw no weakener dealing such effect in the previous or next rounds, I didn't even saw a cumulative effect, that sums around the number 294. I was concentrating on the Slot 5 effect through these rounds, no matter if it is a UP or other creature. It seems that the "weirdness" is somewhere in those rounds, the ones before round 3 seems fine. But I wonder if the explanation is there...

[/quote] It seems fine in your log, Burns. Sadly I don't see this correlation in the next example. Phinneas's Unholy Priest started with 5 defense at Slot 5.   20. The interesting thing is between the 3rd and 5th round with Phinneas, when the UP ends with -213 defense in round 3 it starts round 5 with 293 points. Some undocumented influence there?

  23. I've been reading this topic and naturally I found some things to agree with and some not to. I just want to share my thoughts on the matter. Please excuse my English, it's not as fluent as I would want it to be. If any questions arise - contact me. Creatures are part of our selves, each one expressing different moment of desire, of knowledge, of beliefs, of achievement, of strength, of weakness, love and hate and so on. I want to include the whole process involving the crits, as I couldn't read a further development for the Rituals we put them in. You all talk about recruiting and sacrificing, but the intermediate part I saw barely developed. And without it the circle isn't complete. When building a ritual we put effort, stronger or weaker, for achieving a certain goal. When we made the right judgement we win, certain aspects of ourselves gain strength. When we loose we see that we have misjudged the opponent and the effort and skills put to the test fail, we fail, then we go and change them. This goes everyday in the decisions we make. And every choice involves certain level of our knowledge, power and so on. And if we don't have the required one we make wrong choices. That's why in two identical rituals, put against each other, the lower experienced one is bound to fail. I want to hear your thought on that matter too.

  25. I guess it's either HC or BHC, but it was better for us to be aware of the fact, rather stealing heads and then wondering what to do with them (or not getting any)... I see no such info in BHC master's topic.
