1. But, as we all know, locate isn't quite working on Eon, and in the East
2. another vote for a smaller "refresh"
3. You know where to find us.
4. I good thing to on DoT
5. Yes, it makes sense and I like it. But let me share an experiment of mine. A while ago, when I was experimenting with my new creatures, I was hunting for Eon to try them on. And here the big day came. I found Eon, I attacked him with 3 crits + 3 Soulwavers, Eon was set on 100%. I knew I couldn't win, but I hoped the auras combined would've helped me to be able to resist, just a little while. Well, even with few mills stats increased (and Eon's decreased), again I was wiped out in the middle of the second round And I forgot - there was a Pope to aid me also. This comes to show, that with the current system, even powerful creatures, that normally I've seen turning the tables, now are rendered useless. My 2 coins on the matter. I hope some good solution would come out of this topic. I feel it's going the right way.
6. Glad to see you back in action, apophys Still, the problem with unsatisfied players, who worked hard for those millions of stats would remain...
7. Is this a new movement rising up? LOL
8. And, to admit, I welcome this as feature, rather than a bug. But it's just me And the browser/OS isn't related IMHO
9. I second you, Lib, but sadly we are humans. Our outdated human nature still draw us back to the caves we started from (if this theory is true at all). Sadly, being on top of the top easily replaces the opportunity of being different. What was the word... "show off"?
10. I really can't see the problem here. A BHC will start with at least 2 participants. IF you have something against it, why then sign up? It's that simple. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5rRZdiu1UE
11. Not enough are trying not because it's no fun. For some, it requires time, which they can't afford spending right now. It's fun every time, it's educating, but from my observations RL comes into play too much recently. I am seeing less people more due such reasons, than Eon's skill dmg.
12. The point is "organization". When more from the community organize, then each BHC Eon will be pushed in the corner with the Needles. Then one at a time the group will gain skillDMG and then, when all of them start raiding Eon, he will be pushed back to normal stats. This is just a possible scenario, requiring lots of planing, lots of MD time and lots of time overall The problem, arising from this, is what will the group then do, after this is achieved... They will have the "Skill DMG" alliance
13. False hope? Grinding area? Oh, Mur, what have I brought to my head... I was thinking that the things I said had totally different meaning... I used the word "grinding" in a sarcastic way, mostly to draw attention. Certainly not that kind of attention... Since the time I am here I can say that if some want to grind, they choose their special place. We all know how grinding is been threatened around here, especially in public places. There are enough people and instruments to take care of that. Right now, newcomers rarely see the old legends due to their choice first to hide, then to grind. And a BIG NOTE - I am not referring to you, Eon, I am referring in general. You weren't the first one with skill dmg. Some people has it and choose to do so before that BHC took place. In the coming months & years, more people will have it too.
Even if you are so many, you are incapable of doing two things. One thing is to realise that what eon 'affects' just a fraction of what you should care about in md, and the other, most important thing you fail to see is that you are so united when it comes to complaining together but you are not so united anymore when it comes to solve the issue yourself.
Now, I don't want to start talking in this direction. Mur is right with this, but this is just a fact, that has deeper roots than what you're stating.
The general suggestino of a pseudo-sanctuary? I would vote that down pretty strongly, but was an interesting suggestion to propose.
Never thought from this point of view. Putting it like this makes it sound really bad. Please, someone to close this thread. And then hide it, or better yet delete it.
14. Now, this is a new idea I was about to contact Mur directly, but maybe bothering him with such things is the bad idea Here it is: in order to bring most of the population back at MD, a place could be made so skill dmg won't apply there. Or whichever place the community thinks is better. Now, lately I do fight less and Idle more, but when RL comes into play then I get much less time to spent here. And this time gets more lonely everyday. I am not keen on switching countries just to improve that I am really missing many old folks there I am making this suggestion from the point of view and gain new players might have, not from any personal matter. If more skilled fighters are drawn to MDP for example, my guess is more newcomers would get the chance to learn new things. And with more information the hunger for it grows. Another plus is that we all will know where one place for grinding ( or even meeting others ) would be, and it will be easier. Right now I see mostly MP3s and MP4s there, with MP5 hunting for herbs, idling in sanctuaries or else. We are missing some of the old flavor MD has. Again, just thinking out loud. I have nothing against Skill DMG, only for some side effects that came after it. All opinions welcomed

16. Maebs, you have put it the exactly the way I wanted And gladly I am seeing the opinions I wanted. But, as Chett said, there still can be some abuse... Unless this could be straighten out with this Trading Inquisitor. What is this, some kind of a script, that checks certain variables? I admit I haven't visited GG in a while, so I was thinking only from a players point of view. Excuse me, but I have forgotten the fact, that was stated it in your post, Chewett. My memory has always served me badly.
17. Maybe I am not clear enough - My suggestion is the items to be able for passing in every scene, where two people with the required loyalty meet. The Trading Inquisitor could just deny passing them to a person, who don't have the required loyalty. I am not against trading them for everyone through ITCs in the right locations .
18. This isn't exactly a new idea, but I mostly wanted to hear different opinions on the topic. I know certain Items can't be transfered on site, but only at specific locations. I think it's not a bad idea such items to be able for transfer between people with a certain amount of loyalty, maybe grater than the required in the first place for the item to be taken from the dispatch locations. If there is a deeper logic behind the current state, please feel free to enlighten me.
19. And I hardly could say that Eon has no reason to kill you
20. If this is right you have earned at least a pickle, Guillak
21. I have seen this - you gain access to all the forum's options (including posting and creating topics) after the system is sure you have visited the right places and know the basics. It is one of the best forums I am using so far, thus I have made my proposal Sadly, sometimes people come short for understanding what exactly hides behind one's title, being a moredator, admin or else. As Maebs said and IF I were "in your shoes" the best solution for all is to ignore some isolated comments/questions and do the things as you best see/feel them. All else is compromise. If someone is affected from my comments - good. Cause Chewett is a man to be trusted, and not to be doubted by ones, that haven't interacted with the Forum long enough. Patience always repays. Neg-rep me as long as you want, but as dst says: "Save time... see it my way"
22. My... Manda, you'd better check this soon If else - congrats Magistra
23. Or maybe just organize a little quiz - forum ban for 1 week of people, who are complaining about something, that obviously they don't understand. If answered correctly to few questions, then the ban could be raised. If not - then another week. I know how this sounds, but haven't your parents ever punished you one way or another, when we did something wrong, either if we didn't understood it fully or just acted prematurely? As is stated somewhere: “Ignorantia legis neminem excusat” - "Ignorance of the law excuses no one" Chewett, we appreciate all the things you do, please don't take hasty actions.
24. I agree with Lib, and the others, who say the community should redevelop it's ways of cooperation. But a fact is that MD became less populated, at least the areas where most vets used to hang out. Now even in Sanctuaries the grass is growing faster. Some have issues like work, timeline, personal life and such. Or just have decided, that all the stats gained so far are good enough for them and their role, so hanging around with few dozens of trees or priests is not harming anybody. But now we have to do everything in our powers just to kill all the crits, so we can be able to continue undisturbed with the others goals we have in MD. On the other side comes Eon. I will never go and argue whether his reward is good or bad - Mur has decided that the trophy should be like this, Eon went for it and got it. I know what should be done, but sometimes many more issues come and prevent me and others from the ability to do it. Sadly, as I juggle with all the options, I came no close to finding an answer, simply because there are too many people involved in this. But, to repeat myself, Eon's ability is his to be used as he pleases, and we shouldn't come near the thought that it could be altered in any way.
