Thanks to everyone who has stepped up in public and private. Community garden leadership will be incorporated into your role in some meaningful ways. I ask that each of you find me sometime soon ingame so you can join the community garden knowledge collection. Please take a little time to consider and write a short piece about how you would like to relate to the community garden. When you join the knowledge collection, you can add your essay as an initial contribution. The knowledge collection will be a fluid document and we will update our contributions as the garden takes shape. Leadership is not confined to those who have already stepped up. Anyone interested is welcome to participate. Thanks everyone.

I spent a bit of time messing around with GIMP today and had some decent success. I was able to scan directly through GIMP instead of the crappy scan program that came with Canon Printer/Scanner, allowing me to save directly as PNG. I noticed a lot of MD items are done in color and I wonder if anyone has a suggestion for the next appropriate steps with this image. Please, any help is appreciated.

I have a reindrach and a morph that I eventually intend to sell. I also have a GG drach that I would consider selling, although I'm not inclined to. I'm looking out for direct trade offers before they go to auction. Interesting or rare items and crits only... also anything fully tokened is of interest to me. PM with offers.

This will be a dutch auction, similar to the Reindrach that was recently sold. I will lower the price until the creature sells. You should not post anything on this topic other than "I will buy at that price" or something to that effect. PM if you have questions. If you would like to have this creature to use for a quest reward, please contact me with details, and I will consider giving it as a donation. Other creatures are available for donation as well. Aramor ID 157776 Age near 950 no tokens low heat Opening price: 9sc Top offer: 6sc Donated, with no payment required

Day 125, Year 7 Rumi constructed an A-frame level from items in his inventory. 3 branches 11 unidentified plants 1 Locate Stone Rumi's hori-hori (digging and gardening knife) and 2 raw glass were used to determine and mark dead level on the A-frame cross branch. The 2 raw glass were returned to Rumi's inventory. A Locate stone was chosen for the plumb-bob since the primary purpose of the tool is to locate and map a contour from any given starting point. Fyrd Argentus joined Rumi during the process of constructing the A-Frame.
IMPORTANT - This is a community project. It's success depends entirely on how YOU support and utilize it. I am giving as much Time and energy as possible right now. We need some other project leaders, and now is the time for you to step forward and step up.
For a year, the community garden project has been the focus of my attention in the realm. Those of you who interact regularly with me surely notice that our interaction has not been so regular of late. Since the beginning of spring, I have been very busy... and it appears that I will only be getting busier. The design of the community garden continues and construction is ready to begin. Given my availability, I can no longer lead this project by myself. Many of you have stepped forward to contribute. Now is the time for one or more to step forward to take a leadership role. An effective team of leaders will bring this garden to fruition. A lack of leadership will lead to stagnation and failure. Now is the time for you to decide if you want a community garden. A leader who comes forward will not be alone. You will have my support in every way I can give it. I am not stepping away from leadership. I need to share the burden. Please post on this topic if you are interested. Send me a PM and we will discuss details. Thank you all.

This is after the 52 lumber donated by Seighart. I had in mind perhaps a metal roof and a metal storage tank. I don't know where to come up with that kind of materials. We could potentially make wood roofing shingles and a rain tank built like a wine barrel, using almost entirely lumber resource. I dunno, I think it'd be nice to build a roof and rain tank with copper. Any ideas?

A year ago, during the 6th MD Birthday, I announced my intention to construct a community garden at the Meeting of the Roads. Throughout the year, members of the community have contributed ideas, research, discussion, criticism, items, coins, resources, artwork, poetry, Time, and energy. A wishpoint has been awarded for garden design, and another awaits the winner of the ongoing artwork challenge. It's clear that the design of this garden must be ongoing. After a year of observation and preparation, I think we are ready to construct a garden. I see the garden installation beginning with the construction of the toolshed at the top of the hill. The toolshed needs a specific design, including a resource materials list. We have already had over 500 lumber donated to build the toolshed. I think we still need to consider roofing material, and rainwater catchment. The toolshed should divert rainwater to a tank, which also needs to be constructed. We have over 100 glass that could possibly be used for a rainwater tank, but it's intended purpose is the greenhouse. Once the toolshed is constructed, we can acquire the necessary tools to implement the next phase of the garden installation. IMPORTANT - This is a community project. It's success depends entirely on how YOU support and utilize it. I am giving as much Time and energy as possible right now. We need some other project leaders, and now is the time for you to step forward and step up. Rumi is away from the Meeting of the Roads for the moment. He returns soon, ready to dig.

Neno, maybe you can help me with this? I took a few scans of the drawing. None of them came out all that great, and I might scan again, but maybe you tell me what you think. My scanner can save to tiff or jpeg and I think i might try tiff next time instead of jpeg.

Sale is complete. Mods, please close this topic. Big thanks to Liberty for the suggestion of a dutch auction. I thought this was very successful.
3 Gc+ resources
If you want to make a trade offer that is not strictly gold or silver, feel free to contact me via PM. Otherwise, the only reply this topic should see besides the auction price is "I will pay that amount. Let's pick a place and time to make the trade." (or something to that effect)

[cquote] Burns – Please email us stating what you feel needs to be fixed for MP6, we are looking into what Mur had planned with regards to this and would like your input, as a previously long-time MP6. It would be even better if you could discuss with other MP6 and give us group feedback. Isabella - Tags will have more power than just being words soon, these custom tags will be used to place your status inside a land and will affect the actions you perform. Tags also define you in an official way for any works that may relate to said tag, it isn’t just a sticker, it comes with responsibilities and abilities generally. With all of the ideas we are giving the general outline of each feature, we haven't given each specific because we don't want to say this will happen as plans change and with a loose outline we are giving you more creative authority to reply to us with your ideas. The aspects of being a citizen are more than just having special tools, it is being affiliated with a land, being with people of the same ilk. We suggest you talk to various people of different lands, and see why they joined their land, there are reasons why some lands appear more difficult to join etc. No One – In terms of citizenship voting: the issues you bring up have been considered and the specifics with relation to what level is considered a good majority will probably be adjusted based on your feedback when the system is implemented, so start discussions on the citizenship thread for us to look at please. Citizenship will still be gained when joining an alliance, this is not expected to change. The specific requirement for a vote succeeding is being discussed, factors such as people not voting and people with large land loyalty not being around are all being considered. It is likely that if a player has not been active for 2 weeks then they will not be accounted for in the land loyalty calculation. Your feedback once the feature has been implemented will be taken into account too, to see if its too hard or easy to be voted in. In terms of land loyalty for items we asked for you to post up comments on the new land loyalty feature, and we have fixed the ones that were reported, such as the GG lab items, but we did not see you report these. As the feature is based on the items needing loyalty of the land they are made from, we needed to adjust some items. These have now been fixed – see the most recent announcement about them. Send us an email with specifics or start a forum topic if you need to so we can look at your concerns in detail. Eon - The conceptual measure of control to be reflected accurately over an alliance is most definitely not the amount of loyalty you have gained, for fighting alliances maybe, but not for many of the alliances. Taking over some alliances will be harder, but not impossible. Change - We were thinking of a time limit for voting, a week or so, and discussing the possibility of voting for/against, and weighing the votes there. We suggest posting and discussing your comments on that specific post. Kamisha has made a number of topics to discuss on specific issues, please use them, and make more if there are other topics you want us to look at.[/background] [/cquote]

I know this topic comes up frequently and I apologize for starting a fresh thread. I looked at some item transparency threads already and I couldn't find what I was looking for. I want to upload an artwork I drew for an item. Drawing is grey #2 pencil on white paper. I'm having trouble getting transparency around my item, but not through the item. Also, when I attempt to resize, the image turns to crud. Someone please help me.

Very interesting.... From what I can tell, you are right and it is just the display. I just discovered you can click the rep mark, and it tells exactly who gave +1 and -1 scores. All the detailed scoring is historically accurate, but the display remains at 0.

The three artists who are participating in this quest are requested to continue providing their work. All the requested artwork must be posted on forum in the garden artwork thread or privately submitted before a wishpoint can be given. I prefer not to let this drag on all year since this is just the first section of the garden to be illustrated. All of your drawings have been spectacular. Please let's keep it up!

I know Chewett has been playing around with the forum backups and such. Perhaps this happened as a result? I have been looking at some older posts and I noticed that every post has had the reputation reset to 0. Posts that I have already given +1 will not allow me to use the reputation tools again, so the forum must have some log of previous reps. The current discussion (of canopy tree species for the forest garden) in the community garden plant list is supposed to use reputation marks to determine which proposed species will be used if there are more proposals than spaces for trees. With the history of rep marks erased, this becomes more difficult. I'm sure there are other topics where the same decision process is used, as well as many topics where the reputation marks contribute almost as much to understanding the flow of the discussion as the comments themselves. Any idea if this can be fixed with historical reputation marks returned?

Plum Plum trees, like peaches, are stone fruits and will grow true from seed. Proper care, cultivation, and breeding are generally required to produce decent sized fruit. Small fruits are tasty too, but have a higher ratio of sour skin to sweet fruit. Plum trees are among the earliest of deciduous trees to blossom in the beginning of spring. Plum trees are often found in Japanese artwork blossoming in the snowfall, a beautiful dichotomy which represents this phenomenon. The hardy blossoms of the plum tree are more tolerant of cold conditions and are far less likely to lose an entire crop due to a late frost.

Peach The sensual experience of biting into a fresh warm fuzzy juicy peach and savoring the taste as the sweet juice drips down your chin is unique unto itself. Peaches also grow true from seed. I can eat a delicious peach and plant the pit into the ground and a tree will grow that produces equally tasty peaches. With many other types of fruit trees, decent fruit from seed is a crapshoot, and most cultivated varieties come from cuttings and grafts. A tree grown from seed will grow in natural form with wide spaced leaf and branch nodes, giving natural disease and pest resistance.

Untokened Age 100
ya ppl who make auctions should make dutch type of auctions, meaning ya start with very high price and then ya start lowering it, meaning sale would have only one bid, and as soon bid is made deal is done, and there wouldnt be any misunderstandings since bidder has no time to lose his money somewhere else
I'm going to auction a reindrach in the manner suggested by Liberty. The price will periodically drop until the reindrach is sold. The opening sale is 13 gc.
