The Tree

I almost always see that happen when I go to the GoE, but, since I'm fairly new I couldn't really say if it's a year-round thing or not.
  2. But can't you create a circle/system using only one point? All you have to do is return to your starting point… That being said, there will always be a second point in which the line begins to travel back to the start point… And then there is the point in between them that does not exist on the circle but defines where it is… The fourth point though? But I'm probably heading in the completely wrong direction. I'm trying not to think about it too much and just let my brain be instinctual, but…
  3. *shrugs* Why not? I'm in I guess. "Activity days: 100% (A total of 96 out of 94 days)"
  4. I'm sorry for your lose… When you return to the realm, we'll welcome you back with open arms. We're a community and an extended family so we'll be here for you, k?
  5.
I think we should wait until the transition is complete before judging and proposing improvements. It seems there are many more changes to come.
Hear hear! At first I thought that there were only the first few changes, but it's rapidly becoming clear that that is not the case. We should just sit back and ride it out before reassessing the realm.
  6. Funny how just the other day I was hoping for some madness. Thanks Mur Edit: I'm an idiot, I asked a question I already knew the answer to. ¬.¬ The only important things I said were 1) Lowering Creature levels and 2) Using your frozen creatures as cannon fodder
  7. You've joined at an awesome time, Raviir. Enjoy the game!
  8.
Max trees barred from mp4? wut? I maxed myself a tree very early in mp4, and 2 more soon afterward. In fact, I maxed every publicly available creature in mp4, except for angiens which were 1 level from max. … Barred from mp3: angiens above lv3, drachs above lv3, birds above lv4, dark archers & bloodpacts above lv4, elementals above lv5, grasans above lv2, trees above lv3, water beings above lv5, Barred from mp4: angiens above lv5, drachs above lv4, bloodpacts above lv4 Barred from mp5: none
The horrible thing is that I could've maxed it yesterday, forgot, and then went to bed to wake up this morning with it telling me I need to advance a level >.> It looks like Mur is pushing people to move up to MP6, but where are all of the adepts supposed to be found? Of course, I can't really vouch for what goes through Mur's head. Your scale looks like the new scale but scaled to MP5 instead of MP6. Mur is trying to widen the spectrum I guess, otherwise I would agree with the baseline MP5 scale.
  9. Edit: If this is hard to read I apologize, It's 4 in the morning for me. I have a small worry, but I'm not sure of how big of an actual problem it is. What about all of the players who already have maxed powerful creatures in MPs that shouldn't have them? For instance, I see now that I can't max my trees since I'm only MP4, but I know of many MP4s who already do have maxed trees. I don't know for certain but I'm sure that the upgrade restrictions probably apply to drach and angiens somewhere along their upgrade tree, and I'm pretty sure that some MP4s have maxed those too. So now, with the xp changes, MP4s can remain MP4 forever and have creatures that you can't even get in their MP level, making them ridiculously overpowered for the rest of the MP4 world. That being said, I was already getting beaten into a pulp by the aforementioned MP4s, all this announcement means is that I can't get my creatures to the same level as theirs , so I'll just have to find some clever rits that monopolize on what creatures I already have
  10.
1)Ropes 2)Saw 3)Whip 4)fire woods 5)Metal Rod Got a few torture devise too :-) 1) Knee Splitter 2) Inquisitional Chair 3) Heretic’s fork 4) The Spanish Tickler 5) Rat Torture Ho yes iam going to make her Talk again in my way... Brother sunfire lets help her to regain her speech thru pain muhahaha...
I would really love to know how you're planning to use those on a ghost.
  11.
The lack of personal XP also means it is useful to re-balance yourself, but not get any closer to the next MP level.
That no longer works anyways once you're past MP3. You have to do damage to accumulate wins and losses.
  12.
Not sure of the "downside" of this sort of training, honestly. Can you elaborate without going into spoilers? I'm honestly curious why such practices seem detrimental to you, and would work to change the status quo if your arguments can convince me of why. I'm intrigued now....
The "downside" argument is that people are only going to be using non-damage fighting to train. Therefore, they will never learn how to attack. HOWEVER That seems a little bit extreme to me. I personally love the RDFA. Just because you're training with active people with non-damage doesn't mean that you aren't attacking the idlers for damage. You can learn some about rits, train your creatures, and sometimes bring yourself closer to balance. So I support it. I can't figure out why the forums won't let me quote you, Curi. "I was always told/taught that the GGG is basically using non damage rituals. What it does, is it gives wins for players creatures and experience for the player. Now, this is out of my experience." Experience gained is directly proportional to they amount of ve lost, so with non-damage rituals no xp is gained. Huh, interesting, the forum just lumps in my next fast reply with my previous post if no one else has posted. I didn't know that it did that. [/off topic] "Another thing that I worry about is that the newbies will think that RDFH is an actual requirement of the park when it isn't" If they read the signpost in the park it should be fairly apparent that the RDFA isn't a part of the park. And as far as I know when learning about the RDFA people tell the new MP3s that this is just specifically for the RDFA and is not how things normally go.
  13. Lemme give this a shot as a fellow noob.
Hey guys, So I stumbled onto Magic Duel completely by accident, and I've fallen madly in love with it. But I do. not. understand. it. at. all. I simultaneously love the fact that it's so free and open, and am completely disoriented by it.
This is a common feeling. Don't worry, it's perfectly normal. "It's a wonderful world…"
Are there specific native races to the MD world? Do I have to choose one of these for an RP character? Am I required to RP? Am I required to do my own character art?
Nope, there's no specific race. You can be anything that you want to be, though the majority of the beings are human or humanoid at least There's no requirement stating that you have to RP, but it makes everything a lot more fun and enjoyable. I would recommend trying it. However, you don't need a massive backstory to be a successful RPer, just interact with people! You can decide to do your own character art, but it's not required.
What's the best way for me to solve quests or find clues?
Ask around! People will generally point you in the right direction. But we don't spoil, so don't try and press for answers to quests or puzzles.
Are there NPCs, or is the world occupied by pre-set triggers and other players only
No NPCs, as far as I've found (Besides the Willow Guards, opening shades, and Loreroot guards). It's all player driven
How do *you* contact other players inside or outside of the game?
In game I use private messages by clicking on people's names then clicking the "send message" button. Outside of the game, I either private message through the forum or use an Instant Messaging Client.
I've noticed there are groups, clans, associations, guilds, what have you. Where are these found? How do you join? How do you choose?
Mostly they are found by going to each Land's capitol and clicking on one of the things in it until you get some alliance icons. If you click those, then you get more info on them. OR You can find players who are in Alliances (they're the ones with pictures by their names) and clicking the scroll under their name that looks like an upside down V. Generally there is some information in there. You can join an alliance by speaking to members inside of it and seeing if they want you. As to how you choose… you just sort of go with whatever one feels right to you! Anyways, I'm sure I've spawned more questions so feel free to keep asking. If I haven't answered something to your satisfaction tell me so and I'll try again! Hope this helps!
  14.
could you perhaps send me a bit more information on this?
I assume you're talking about the teams… If you find her in the Gazebo of Chaos and send her a PM you'll get some more information about the quest. If she put up the the task of each team before you chose your team then you'd just chose a team that sounds the best to you. Which, while perfectly acceptable, isn't really the goal of this quest. I didn't end up in the team that I would've liked, but I see it as a challenge to adapt to what my task is. This is all about improving my RP for me…
  15. Ideas for body tests… [log=Ideas] Brulant mumbles something about wanting to see if the body breaks down when exposed to air Azull: *chuckles* talking in his sleep.. samon: I would love to help you close it after i've rested a bit more Azull: *nods* We should take a sample and place it in a sealed container. : Brulant mumbles something about getting many samples, and kittens Brulant: (Alright, I'm really gone now. Cheers samon: (bye) Blade Faryn: *chuckles at brulant and relaxes for now* Give me a moment or two to rest.. Blade Faryn: (later bru) Brulant: (I lied. We need samples for heating, cooling, pickling, adding acids too, adding bases too, adding liquid dust too, adding water from the Fountain of Dark Vibrations too, and whatever else we can) Brulant: (think of doing) [/log]
  16. (all logs will still go here?) THE BEGINNING OF PART THREE Well, this didn't take long to happen… [log=Step 1: Unearthing the Coffin] : Brulant stretches and sets his violin carefully down on the ground Brulant: *gestures to Blade and Samon* Would you two mind helping me dig up the casket? samon: I'm here to help Blade Faryn: *nods* We'll have to won't we? Brulant: *starts to look over the ground of the Gazebo, using his feet to probe for loose ground* I don't know exactly where they buried her… Blade Faryn: *stretches and makes his way over to Brulant* I think... Blade Faryn: I think here? *feels the tiles shift under him* : Brulant manages to find some loose ground under his feet, then looks up to see Blade standing across from him Brulant: Well, it looks like this could be the place… Blade Faryn: I have to admit, I never thought I'd be digging up bodies at any point. samon: neither did I Brulant: *bends down and grunts as he starts to try and lift a tile* Never been to Necro then, have you? samon: I have been there Brulant: *continues to pull on the tile, looking at the other two pointedly* Some help, please? samon: but it isn't a place for me Brulant: *grins at samon* I meant during the excavation. Blade Faryn: No, not yet. *moves over and grunts as he helps lift the tile up* samon: *also helps lifting the tile* does any of you have a shovel? : Brulant stands up shakily as he, Blade, and samon lift the tile Blade Faryn: No. But Willow might... *thinks* Brulant: *nods to a pillar* I already grabbed one from Willow's : Blade Faryn starts shifting to the side once the tile is lifted to get it out of the way Brulant: *stumbles a little* Whoa, not so fast, Blade. A little more warning next time. Blade Faryn: Sorry.. *grits his teeth* Brulant: Alright, lets set it down over there… Brulant: *speaks amicably while they move the tile* I probably should've grabbed more than one shovel though. Blade Faryn: *nods and slowly helps lower it* Mind your fingers.. Blade Faryn: I can go fetch one. I'm sure Willow won't miss another shovel for a short time.. : Brulant slowly starts to ease the tile down Brulant: *nods* True enough. : Brulant sets his edge of the tile on the ground, pulling his fingers out of the way and letting it drop the last inch Blade Faryn: *grunts* I better fetch some rope too. A lead coffin will not be easy to raise Brulant: *grins* I was just about to say that. : samon lets drop the tile at the same time : Blade Faryn does the same as the other two and lets out a breath Brulant: And maybe a pulley too, if you could find one? Blade Faryn: *nods* I'll grab what I can. Brulant: Alright, we'll wait here. Hurry back! : Blade Faryn nods and hurries on out : Brulant nudges the tile with his foot while he waits for Blade to return : Blade Faryn returns with the shovel, rope, and pully, as well as a plank Blade Faryn: Alright, I guess we should get digging then. Brulant: *stops nudging the tile* Oh good, you're back. samon: *gets up* welcome back Blade Faryn: *nods* Thanks. : Brulant grabs his shovel from where it was resting up against the pillar and walks over to the exposed dirt Blade Faryn places the other supplies to the side and removes his coat before making his way to the dirt as well samon: you took only one shovel? Brulant: Blade… you did remember a shovel for samon right? Brulant: He's a helper. He helps. Blade Faryn: No. The other one is with the other stuff in the pile. Brulant: *sticks his shovel into the loose dirt* Alright then, lets get digging. samon: ah *looks in the pile and takes out a shovel* there it is : Blade Faryn nods and starts to help with the digging process : samon also sticks his shovel in the dirt : Brulant bends down and moves over to make room, beginning to dig furiously samon: does anyone know how deep we have to dig? Brulant: About six feet? *laughs* Brulant: Throw your dirt well away from the pile, but not over the edge, we want to refill the grave later. Blade Faryn: Six feet sounsd about right, but we'll hit the coffin sooner or later Blade Faryn: Yes... I'd rather not have to fetch dirt from another area to fill the hole back up samon: *nods* that would be a lot of truble : Brulant steps into the hole as their combined efforts make quick progress in the loose dirt : Blade Faryn works as quickly as he could to try and get this task over with Brulant: *grins at the other two while he digs* Lets just hope we're in the right place samon: don't waste all your energy right at the start Brulant: Yeah, we still have to lift a coffin, remember? Blade Faryn: *slows down some* A heavy one at that.. samon: *notices amber* hello Blade Faryn: The dirt is pretty loose here so we should be in the right spot AmberRune: hello : Brulant nods to Amber while he continues to dig samon: probably Brulant: *teases Amber as the hole gets deeper and deeper* So, you were still challenged after I gave you the hint? : Blade Faryn glances and nods to Amber as he continues to shovel away the dirt AmberRune: *sticks her tongue out at Brulant* Hush you. AmberRune: *looks at all the digging* What's going on here? : Brulant throws a shovelful of dirt in Amber's direction Brulant: We're digging up Light's coffin. samon: something going on between you 2? Brulant: *laughs and winks at samon* She was doing the challenges on my Hate Page and got a little stuck for a while Brulant stops as his shovel hits something hard Blade Faryn: Do you think the body has changed at all since we last saw it? *pauses as he heards the thunk from Bru's shovel* Blade Faryn: Either that's the coffin or we've struck a treasure chest. samon: I'll give those challenges a look after we're done Brulant: I hope it's not wrong to hope it's treasure. samon: *looks at the others and also stops* you've got something samon: ? Blade Faryn: *chuckles* It would be nice, wouldn't it? Brulant: *mutters while her clears away dirt* Ah, for older players they're just little brain teasers. Brulant: I reward younger players who solve them though. Brulant: *clears away some dirt to reveal dark lead* Seems like we've got something. samon: that looks good Brulant: Now we've got to dig around it so we can secure the rope. : Brulant starts to clear out the area around the edges of the coffin samon: yeah... *starts to dig again* : Blade Faryn nods to Brulant and starts to dig around the coffin Brulant: Make sure you're going clockwise, Blade. It saves some work. Brulant: *calls up to Amber from the hole* Could you bring that rope over here? Brulant: *sighs and looks at samon* Or if you could climb out of the hole and get it. : Blade Faryn nods and works clockwise as requested samon takes the rope and drops one end down, holding the other end sasha lilias: (Nahh just say Chris XD) Brulant: Alright Blade, that should be good enough. I'm going to try and slip the rope underneath the coffin, see if you can't grab the other end. samon: sure *climbs up* Blade Faryn: Will do. *takes a couple deep breaths and sets the shovel aside for now* Brulant: Alright Blade, that should be good enough. I'm going to try and slip the rope underneath the coffin, see if you can't grab the other end. : Brulant grabs the end of the rope and feeds it underneath the coffin : Blade Faryn crouches down and feels around for the rope : Blade Faryn soon grabs onto it as he comes in contact with it : Brulant lets go of the rope as he feels Blade grab it : Blade Faryn stands up straight with the end of the rope in hand Brulant: Alright, good job. Blade Faryn: Alright. *hands it back to Bru so he could tie it up* Brulant takes the end of the rope back and starts to tie a simple but strong knot Brulant: Does the coffin look completely free? Blade Faryn: *looks around his side of the coffin and nods to Bru* Looking good here Brulant: Okay, my side looks pretty good too. *yanks on the knot one more time then nods* Let's climb up, that should hold it. Brulant scrabbles up the side of the hole, then takes a few deep breaths when he reaches the top Brulant: Samon, if you could find somewhere to secure the pulley while Blade and I catch our breath it would be much appreciated. : Blade Faryn climbs on out of the hole and makes his way over towards Bru to catch his breath as well samon: *looks around* there isn't much here Brulant: *looks at the pulley while he rests* It looks like you could secure it around a pillar. samon: probably Brulant: *unties his sash and offers it to samon* Here, use this. Brulant: Thread it through the eye on the back of the pulley. Oh! And make sure the rope is on the pulley. samon: ok *takes the pully and puts the rope around it* Blade Faryn: *chuckles* That would help : samon binds the pully around the pillar with brulants sash : Brulant chuckles and picks up the rope so there's some slack to work with : samon makes sure the knot will hold it Brulant: Now, lets hope that my sash will hold this! : samon nods and takes the rope : Brulant grabs the end of the rope and pulls it out horizontally from the ground, pulling samon along with him Brulant: Whenever you're ready, Blade. : Blade Faryn takes another breath and makes his way to the other two, grabbing a hold of the rope Blade Faryn: Alright. Let's do this Blade Faryn: On three? Brulant: *nods* One. : samon nods once more Blade Faryn: Two Blade Faryn: THREE! *starts to pull* : Brulant pulls as hard as he can : samon pulls : Blade Faryn grits his teeth and strains as he pulls along with the others Brulant: *takes a step back as the coffin starts to rise* Pull! samon: *pulls a bit harder* mmmh : Blade Faryn tugs as hard as he could, Brulant: *takes a few more steps back* Almost there, guys… : samon nods Blade Faryn: Keep it up! : Brulant grunts with effort as the coffin rises out of the hole samon: there it comes Brulant: Someone's going to have to swing it away from the hole. Blade Faryn grunts and starts to make his way to the coffin, basically pulling himself closer : Brulant digs his feet in as Blade moves closer to the coffin Brulant: *shuts his eyes as he strains against the weight* Hurry, Blade… oh my poor sash… Blade Faryn: Hold on! *releases the rope briefly so he could swing the coffin away* :Blade Faryn manages to get it enough so that it wouldn't tip back into the hole : samon almost gets pulled back by the extra weight : Brulant leans backwards as Blade releases the rope : Brulant notices that the coffin is over ground and releases the rope, letting the coffin drop with a loud thump Blade Faryn: *doubles over to catch his breath, glad that was over with* Good job guys.. samon: *looks over his shoulder and releases the rope* we're done Brulant: Phew…… : Brulant drops to his knees while he catches his breath samon: *sits down* let's rest for a bit before opening it [/log] [log=Step 2: Clean Up] : Blade Faryn makes his way over to one of the pillars to rest against it for the time being : Brulant stands wearily and unties his sash from the pillar and removes it from the pulley samon: we're lucky that it didn't break Blade Faryn: That's quite a sturdy sash for sure. *grins* Brulant: *nods* I wonder what this sash is made of. : Brulant laughs Brulant: Well, step one done. Blade Faryn: Yeah. Now to get the darn thing opened. Brulant: Step two… refill the grave and move the tile back. Blade Faryn: That too. Brulant: Step three is open it. *smiles wearily* We have a lot of work to do. samon: *gets up* let's continue Blade Faryn: And that's just the beginning. : Brulant groans and follows Samon over to the dirt piles Blade Faryn: *stands back up and fetches his shovel* May as well get this over with : samon takes his shovel : Blade Faryn begins to shovel the dirt back into the hole they've created : Brulant grimaces and reaches down into the hole to reclaim his shovel samon waits for brulant to get his shovel and helps filling the hole : Brulant starts to just shove the piles of dirt over instead of lifting it samon: *shakes his head* I really never thought I would be digging someone up : Blade Faryn his pace is somewhat slower than whey they first begun this expidition but he continues to press on : Brulant pushes the pile into the hole, quickly filling it most of the way up Brulant: *shakes his head at samon* It's not someONE anymore. It's someTHING. Blade Faryn: Unless the body miraculously turned into something else again. : Brulant starts to pat down the dirt that the other two are shoveling in with his shovel samon: same thing Blade Faryn: Who knows the current state... Brulant: As far as I know, it's a dead tentacle. : Blade Faryn heaves a sigh and gets the last of his dirt pile into the hole Brulant: That should do it… you always end up with more dirt than you started with. Brulant: *glances at the heavy tile and sighs* Howabout we just slide that back on top? samon: we can't leave it laying there, can we? Brulant: (yup) Blade Faryn: Someone could trip over it easily if we leave it out. Best slide it back Brulant: Oh course not! But I don't want to lift it again! :Brulant throws his shovel down and trudges over to the tile : samon puts away his shovel and slowly folows brulant Blade Faryn: *drops the shovel to the side and steps beside brulant and Samon* Ready guys? Brulant: Wait wait, are we sliding or lifting? samon: man I wish we had someone who's able to use levitation magic : Brulant huffs a sigh but starts to slide the tile : Blade Faryn does the same as Bru, grimacing due to his already-worn muscles *grimaces but is happy that the tile is moving faster due to the help* If you think you're sore now, wait until tomorrow. Blade Faryn: Of course... I'll definitely be feeling this in the morning. Brulant: *stands up as the tile moves into position* Alright… now we just wait for the dirt to settle. [/log] [log=Step 3: Opening the Coffin] Brulant: *stands up* Well… let's crack this thing open. Azull: it ripped a hole in Tipu's armor. Blade Faryn: *raises a brow* It managed to do that? Azull: be careful Brulant: On 3, everyone. *places his hands underneath the lid* Azull: yes. and good armor it was too Blade Faryn: We will. Brulant: We will, Azull. : Blade Faryn gets ready as well samon slightly nods and places his hands under the lid Brulant: 1… Brulant: 2… Brulant: 3!! Lift! : samon closes his eyes and lifts : Brulant lifts his side up : Blade Faryn lifts his side up as well, grimacing as he helps shift it aside : Brulant moves sideways to get the lid away from the coffin : Azull watches : Brulant drops his side of the lid once it's clear of the coffin : Blade Faryn lets out a breath and releases the lid as well : samon also moves the lid aside : samon and drops it Brulant: *sighs* Alright… that's enough manual labor for the day. : Brulant gingerly approaches the coffin and looks inside : Blade Faryn peers inside as well to see the body samon: is it dead? : samon looks at them from a small distance Brulant: *looks closely at the unmoving thing that was once Sasha* It looks like it… Blade Faryn: Seems that way. It doesn't seem to be moving at least. samon: *slowly moves closer and looks inside* so this is what's left of her... Brulant: *shakes his head* It's no longer her. Sasha's body was turned into something else by Light. Blade Faryn: *nods slowly* Her body transformed a few days before her burial : Brulant lets out a sigh and walks over to rest against a pillar samon: so... what should we do now? Brulant: I think we've done enough for the day. Blade Faryn: The next task isn't so straightforward Azull: *looks inside the coffin* hm... Brulant: Blade, Adio, and I need to decide how to move forwards. Blade Faryn: We need to figure out how and why this transformation happened [/log]
  17. How did I miss seeing this… Happy belated B-day Aster!! Thanks for all of your help
  18. I vote yes for all of the various reasons stated above, I didn't notice the links until my third day and that was only because I decided to click on everything to see if something happened BFH draws attention to the Free Creds by posting the link and whatnot in chat, but chat gets cleared much too quickly. This would be a good way to make sure that people don't miss out on the free creds and/or learning the few restrictions there are.
  19. Just as a personal opinion note… (I use a Mac, by the way) [.bmp] is a horrendous file type, I personally hate it. It compresses badly and it creates a large file. I would almost always go [.jpeg] I mean, [.jpeg] was partially created to replace [.bmp], so it follows that it should be better. [.bmp] stands for bitmap. Bitmaps work by dividing your image into a little tiny grid and remembering what each color, shade, etc for each square in that image is. ~If you scale up a bitmap it will appear jagged because of the way the grid works. ~If you scale down a bitmap it will usually lose a LOT of detail. Furthermore, bitmaps don't have great built in intelligence. By that I mean that you cannot select, say, all of the "paw" colors on a cat. It only recognizes things that are exactly the same, so what happens when you have multiple colors or shades? Apply that to "black and white" (plus shades from shading) and you have the potential to lose a lot of your greys. Jpeg compression makes your files much much much smaller, and when you're saving huge scans, I personally see that as a plus. Some color in extreme color landscapes is usually lost, but in black and white I usually can't find anything that goes missing. That's all just my personal view and understanding. Feel free to correct me Nice tutorial though apophys. It works great on my Mac too
  20.
What about for people without avatars? An empty space?
I would assume that they would then receive the armor mannequin to use. Using your avatar would probably be something that you would buy in the shop and be able to toggle in the options. Personally, sometimes I like seeing my little armor mannequin. But other days, I would much rather prefer to have my avatar, especially now that I have one, shown. Your avatar is supposed to symbolize who you are as a player, so shouldn't that be present in our fights?
  21. That was really really interesting, Gort. I especially liked the part where the shadow took on their form, and then started to dissolve but still hold onto it's shape. Light is more powerful than dark, but shadow is always present
  22.
I that quote rather odd Mala....It may just be the way I'm reading it due to tiredness...but it seems to be trying to say that Carbon and Beryllium are products of helium? This would, of course, be completely untrue seeing as this would then make Carbon a compound( created due to two or more different elements reacting together ), not an element. :?
Carbon, and all other elements heavier than carbon, are created in stars or by stars exploding. In Carbon's case, three alpha particles, an already existing helium nucleus, two protons, and two neutrons all hit each other and form the Carbon element. Compounds are created from two or more elements, and Carbon obviously isn't something like HeBe2 Think of it more as Helium being beefed up and moved to another state of being. By adding more protons to Helium, it is no longer Helium. However, we humans don't have the means to add/remove protons without it being dangerous and requiring absolutely massive amounts of energy. Otherwise people would be breaking open old T.V. screens and turning Mercury into Gold! That's why it can only be done by crazy random happenstance inside of stars. Edit:
Edit 1: I'm sorry Mala. I just re-read what you posted. Your talking about the Tri-Alpha process? Yes? If so then disregard what I put last Though you do realise...how unlikely the Tri-Alpha process is...right?
*facepalm* Sorry, for some reason my eyes just skipped right over the red font. You can disregard what I said above.
  23. As a matter of fact, I have wondered this I have to think about something when I'm falling asleep! I came to the conclusion that we have the sun because we have to have it… A better question would perhaps be, "Ever wondered why we have stars?" Please correct me if I'm wrong: We have a sun because our planet's landmass is caught in the nearest star's gravitational field while we spin, this pulls us in and causes us to orbit. Hence, the nearest star, our "sun", seems to be rising and setting… Life, as we know it, is not possible without the sun, so it's thanks to the sun that we can wonder why we have a sun The sun is there because it's there. We have it because we're alive, if that makes any sense at all. Or, to put it another way, we have the sun because the sun allows us to exist to have the sun. It's a self-fufilling existence. There is a sun because the sun is a sun Edit: It's infinity. ∞
  24. But which parts are the warmer parts? [log=:3 someones gettingggg waaarrmerrrrr] Blade Faryn: Brulant... you don't suppose this would have anything to do with liquid dust do you? Just a random thought. Brulant: *shakes his head* No. Blade Faryn: Maybe it was originally created as a defensive mechanism? Like how a squid uses ink? Brulant: I kinda was thinking about the Blade, but then that would make it Sasha's fault for messing with the stuff. Brulant: I think it's more that it's just the nature of Black Water that got her infected. A tiger can't change it's stripes and all that. Brulant: But what exactly the nature of "Light" is we can't say for sure, quite yet *grins* Brulant: I personally believe that Light isn't something to be feared, but instead should be pitied. All she wants is a body, now that she has one, she wants to hold onto it at all costs. Blade Faryn nods slowly Blade Faryn: By the way, what exactly is liquid dust? I've only seen it dripping from that house in no mans land Brulant: No one really knows what liquid dust is… you can ask Burn Brulant: If you joined the Kelle'tha Order, then you could read their notes on it. Brulant: Burns was doing something with it a while back… he broke into the house, but I don't know what came of it. Blade Faryn: I see... *rubs his chin and looks to Azull* Brulant: "Liquid dust is not Black Water but it is related to it. Consider it a natural form of Black water, an inactive form" Blade Faryn: Does this mean Sasha was messing with liquid dust at some point? Enough to get it to become the black water? Brulant: Well, we're all exposed to Liquid Dust. But how it becomes active? I don't know." Blade Faryn: You mentioned black water also being a spell before right? One of the inner circle... Brulant: *nods* Yup. Brulant: The spell, I think we can assume now that we know more, activates liquid dust. Blade Faryn: *nods* Though now it's a question if Sasha casted it herself or if someone cast it on her Brulant: *shakes his head* Only two people had the spell, and they haven't been seen for ages. Brulant: Well, those two and Mur of course *grins* Brulant: I think it's more a question of how did Sasha recreate the spell, if anything. Brulant: "Black Water is formed out of energetic debris brought into an inert form and then condensed into a black, thick, homogenous liquid with a slippery aspect." There's a start. [/log]
  25. Count me in on this side Edit: I'll be a solver and a tester. The people I hang out with (in RL) love to solve puzzles, and I'm sure they'd like to help in the testing process And anything else that needs to be done I'll do to the best of my ability. I'm a hard worker
