4.
(...)as long as the majority of the citizens have no problem with what their king/queen is doing, then there should be no problem as far as the others are concerned. If the citizens thinks it's such a huge problem that their king/queen being a citizen of another land, that's what the rebel feature is for and the people will get to choose a monarch they prefer better. If not, so be it.
I fully agree with Udgard. Necrovion is sovereign land and it seems that it does shock/repells NV citizens much less than it shocks all others.... Meaning - not really even internal problem and certainly not one to require external involvement. LE (after reading post below): as a general case I think no new regulations is required. Monarchs know their land/ subjects... and some can join neutral lands alliances without risking rebellion - and some can expect their subject to consider assuming external citizenship.. disloyal
5. I can offer 12000 heat collected to a jar for 1sc
6. I guess it's more like: want to pay to see that particular location depleted -> http://magicduel.invisionzone.com/topic/10122-memory-stones-at-the-meeting-of-the-roads/
7. We (Memory Stone Hunters) agreed not to deplete Memory Stones right after the last announcement (Grido's reasoning).
8. The form of the post clearly indicates its subjective character. It was written based on several direct and indirect (->witnessed) interactions - and it reflects my opinion. And it seems it's clear our opinion here... differ. It would be interesting to see how many critical commentaries would be considered just by their subjects in newspapers. Please send me PMs (younger players especially) about how unbased and insulting I was, and Curiose in your interactions is really a pleasant, timely, and quiet person as Mur's helper (? apparently tag is misleading). It may be I am prejudiced/ caught Curiose on some bad days in her life. LE After some considerations: I do not think these two posts are relevant to editorial policy. maybe they should be moved elsewhere - i.e. original post
9. Announcement: Due to the last resource replenish rate change delays in Memory Stones availibility are to be expected until memory stone locations replenish. Supply then will be just a bit lower than it used to be (hopefully). Until then (3-5 days) all orders are suspended. I currently have 4 Memory Stones for sale. If you cannot wait (spells recharge counter...) please PM me your offers. Sorry for delay. I will recall deliveries suspension here when stones are ready to be harvested again.
10.
they behave the same both in realm and in the outer world. if you deplete a place of water, it will come back eventually. letting resources stay forever at zero would cause a big mess over time. one thing i can do is to make a huge delay till they start over from zero
Hmmm if you deplete organic resource it will not come back or will after very long time... Water will be coming to water hole unless you take more than the local hydrology allows for - and major consequences would be for ecosystem above (subsurface watel level going down -> dessert) rather than water itself. Rain falls at constant rate, rivers flow. Organic resources location capacity to me represent the amount to be gathered - but the extraction process damages it's repruductive abilities. Hence all tree originated resources (lumber, branches) should replenish proportionally to number of units of resource depleted most. Inorganic resources (stones, water) should have different behaviour. They do not reproduce - replenish rate should be constant. Maximum number in location would represent maximum that may be gather without damaging local ecology (see: water) PS. I have just seen the last announcement. If my argument is not convincing and new rule is upheld, is it possible to delay new ruling by one day?
11.
Your poll, doesnt include the option "the story is too short, most of it is a disclaimer" Your "article" consists of 5 bullet points. Again, like your other one, i feel this should not be counted, as in affect most of it is saying that it wont be neutral. Spend some time writing down what he did, remove the stupid disclaimer, and dont use bullet points... Then it might start to feel more like a news piece.
Thanks for comment, poll item added. I included the poll to learn what ppl want to read - quest reward or not, it would be pointless to waste my time preparing something nobody considers worth reading. To be honest, 'article' the way you described is something the least interesting (as far from 'engaging' as I can imagine) to me and something I could/ would not write - even if I appreciate potential usefullness of MD who-is-who. I appreciate further comments - there is some time till quest deadline and I would be grateful for feedback whether it makes sense to write other ...'articles' or better think about rainforests and save discspace :-P
12. It's difficult to be objective writing about close friend, regular sparring partner or (apparently) a family member. I won't even try - I begin this article with this disclaimer - and, dear reader, read further at your own risk. He is my child... or pup... I am a bit confused myself... To add to confusion my child is much older than myself - he came to the MD realm 928 days ago (344 active) comparing with my tiny 202. Consequently, as some people think a lot about life after death, whevever I think about Lone Wolf I consider life before conception. Personally I call Lone Wolf LWP - which is a briefing from his original name (lone wolf pup became Lone Wolf last MD Birthday - and then another lone wolf pup was born). By coincidence it is also abbreviation of Polish army before 1989 - and it fits well as just like army eats, drinks and f... OK eats and drinks everything that moves or not on its path, Lone Wolf cannot do a single thing for a long period of time or just sit peacefully. Also, he _is_ the army - just as Granos was famous of old that there were more Canadians in MD than in Canada, Lone Wolf tries to do the same for US. HOwever, whatever he does - he does with all his heart. Little (or not that little) known facts about LWP: 1. he was banned by Jonn for peeing at the bush (thet would be among leading penalty justifications... but then Shadowseeker's latest Jail got a gold medal) 2. he was the first to enter phase 2 of the last Metal Bunny's MD Deathmatch Trivia 3. he gave Lady Ailith fleas to have an excuse to take her swimming naked in White Lake... to get rid of fleas, you know *winks* 4. he animated some community games such as 'toss the aramor' or 'cuddle your breast against my head' that rendered multiple broken aramors and heards PS I reread it.... Sorry for sugar overcharge
13.
My thoughts as a new player: Viscosity is extremely annoying and seems to only discourage exploring, which seems to be the main point of Magic Duel (at least at my stage in the game). All of the early quests I am working on are requiring me to explore new places, which I am really enjoying. However, most of these places are costing 40 AP to move one screen and I regenerate 30 every 12 minutes. So, I can move 3-4 screens per hour. While I was warned that Magic Duel is a slower paced game than I'm used to, this seems a bit ridiculous. Especially when the quests keep wanting me to go places where I have to wade through the viscosity (like the MDA Gardens). Honestly, Magic Duel is already a bit frustrating for new players to figure out (since it's so different). I'm planning on continuing to figure it out, but I can see a lot of people giving up on it when they get stuck while exploring.
Hmmm Thrawny has a point - while most of us after a few months know where high viscosity may be expected and can find in-game occupations for the time, new players have mini-Tribunal every step of the way. Moreover, with new MP6 rules there will be less MP6s to heal new pleyers before they learn how to live without permanent healing. Would it be possible to make regen timer 3x faster for MP3s? It would make it clear that MP3 is learning game basics and world exploration level.
14. Hmmm... quest sponsor sets rules and criteria - and provides prizes.... We may just go along or not - participate or not :-) I would like individual judging/scoring of each submission, but I am not a sponsor and welcome the quest :-)
15. Thanks LWP :-) (enchanted stones section added)
16. After last batch of Mur's announcements it's clear that there is only one magical item left in the whole realm of MD - it's Curiose the Magic Mushroom. She is widely recognized as the best secretary Mur has ever had, with quality of service so amazing that the Santa Mushroom were recently given two helping elves, by names of apophys and Seigheart, to slow her down a bit with rewards delivery. Children must wait for their Christmas gifts full year - and Curiose could always deliver them within two weeks period - to big and small. Well... to big first, of course. She is a busy person, but also devoted teacher. She can take bours off her full schedule to give a lecture to a noob about: 1. how busy she is, 2. how much she hates nagging about some rewards, 3. how important is RESPECT, 4. how perfect is each and every thing Mur ever did, finished or not. Unfortunately, yours and truly is a noob himself, so some information he knows only from bonfire songs and late night stories... Curiose is considered to be a very good writer; she was the main driving force of Story Night for a long time that were run regularly until a few months ago. I guess she must have been a great fighter of old - she often scorns people who complain about being attacked at MP5: it's an ultimate fighting level after all and those who whine about some minor attacks should probably not be there in the first place.
17. Pls let me know if you need memory stones. they grow slowly so I will get in touch with customers as I collect them. PM me with order. Current price per stone is 2-3sc - will try to reach customer in order of descending price per stone offered and total order. Moreover, some stones are already enchanted with powerful memories that would give you temporary ability to 'cast' finite number of 'spells'. Their price will wary depending on demand and supply. Currently offering: 1. toadspeak Please PM me in-game of forum.
18. I like the current solution. Seems like the idea to help fight viscosity is to generate some economy in the realm based on multiple guilds and resources to be gathered - some in distant lands. I would like it more to make exploring rewarding to all (some auto pick-up resource)

Eon

Eon... Name that fills many hearts with fear. Not because of his creatures or spells - but inevitability of Eon's training. Eon's 'hi' comes as a beep of a attack and continues with perfect frequency all the time of his training. Eon's sleeping - 10 minutes without a beep. There were some who tried to communicate with Eon. Some considered it a task that would justify creating a new guild devoted to this very task. Statistical analysis of his attacks frequency failed... It is confirmed beyond any belief he does not communicate with Morse code. There are poeple who claim they heard Eon talk. As some of these people admit freely they heard him talk after some time in close proximity to Nightshade these reports are not considered credible. There are a few things known about Eon: 1. He is not a big fan of non-damaging combos. 2. He calls every crit 'tree'. It is pretty confusing to some as they tend to use this word to remains and are surprised when they attack Eon after he had posted 'Trees set at GoE' and see defense ritual with some drachorns in. Had they read 'Crits set at GoE', as intended, there would be no such misunderstandings. 3. He may like nice and pure English, swear words may repell him... Whenever you ask him 'You (...), I asked you (...) three times to stop (...) attacks! Are you (...)?' it's highly likely he will _not_ stop.... 4. He is the winner of Boss Head Contest
20. I like the idea :-))) I sleep a lot :-) *winks*
21. Hmmm I believe MD already has comparable number of guilds to the number of active players - and sometimes even guild members do not know guilds mission/ objectives.... And activity... Well, anough to read http://magicduel.invisionzone.com/topic/9365-synopsis-of-alliance-activity/... I do not think new guild is a good idea... especially since it would hold quite powerful monopoly and steady source of income for its members (I do not think Lair Keepers can freely trade drachs, can they?)... I think Memory Stone (great idea BTW) would be much better very slowly regenerating resource, automatically collected in locations (with random regeneration time for each location or different timer for each). This way explorers would be rewared for their exploration and no single person/ ally would control all thoughts stored. I vote - no ally LE: nothing wrong with guilds earening coins for their work... but to balance thinkgs out there should be dependences between guilds products and taxes for state (research, 'army') guilds
22. It strongly depends on timing... I may be online quite a lot, but more 'organized' playing, with rits set-up and concentration is much more limited - usually 2100-2300. With this disclaimer - sure why not :-) xrieg mp5
23. I like current system idea... But see large discrepancy between idea: 1. player should attack ppl in their league and above; attacking weaker players is penalized, 2. balance between wins and losses allows to learn more from each battle fought, and its realization. Ad1. Balance as a measure of strength clearly doesn't work. I believe we learn something from each battle we fight (well, maybe not from full annihilation) and believe the total number of battles fought (not only sum of victories and losses, new counter needed) is much better measure of fighter's profficiency (well... maybe total number of wights minus losses) Ad2. current balance for unallied is absolutely unattractive - it requires a lot of micromanagement and with any reasonable training is unsustainable. I think it would be much more attractive if full bonus were balance +/- 5 - down to 75% at about 100 fights off 50% at about 300, 25% at 500 - and 0% and skilldamage at 1000 (remark: slight change of concept: I do not mean here bonus to standard rewards but % rate of the full score - so full balance would give 4x more rewards than balance -500)... I believe ally permbalance should be reconsidered if such a change was implemented. Currently it is a reward for the limited targets range as most players are very far from balance. System I described above makes profile balance much more attractive... but it would favour allied players far too much (too many pros, too few cons) LE: of course balance based on number would have to be adjusted (non-linear dependence of strength on number of fights) so that top fighters would still get positive honot from second-tier fighters... but it's manageable - parametrization issue
24.
Labyrint should be a death trap. Team work can be in many ways, traveling in teams is defenetly one.
On the other hand it would be a bit weird to organize team trips through labirynth... With viscosity standard in labirynth it will not become a deathtrap, options: 1. it would be crossed regularly - and newbies exploring labirynth will only have hints 'OK, high viscosity, let's come back' 2. it will not be crossed regularly - and ppl will organize group excusrions (!!!???) 3. it will become dead zone and the only ppl visiting GG will be those with other than Labirynth means to get there If old permanent AP cost per step is not deadly enough why not employ random numbers generators - every character entering any Labirynth location would have AP randomly generated in each direction - say between 1 and 90 (chars buffer would have to be flushed occasionally probably). It would make it much more difficult to cross and explore - and as each char would have individually assigned AP costs, not that prone to group exploring
25.
In this way i can remove keys on certain places and let only viscosity to guard them.
If WP controlled access for a given location will be replaced by viscosity controlled access, will WP spent for access be returned?
