have you tried to search for "white" or "lake"? i can't find the topic i need... and yes, i'm doing the same - looking for the person who (i guess) posted the info, and going through his/her posts. but c'mon... not always you know who posted some info... lets say, i want to search some general info, not connected to any person. for example "search bugs", and i can't find it. that's just an example, maybe it doesn't exist, but there are many examples which simply don't work. another example: how am i supposed to know if the topic or theme i am creating already exists and mine is redundant? how newbies should search through the forums for some common info like kings, alliances, lands, creatures, etc., when you simply can't do it correctly (well, in most cases)?
thanks for the ideas, guys, they might be really helpful to many of those reading forums. Paracelsus idea is really great, sort of issue solver (try it and look how many topics it finds in the forums) - thanks again. but anyways, i think forum search should not only search, it should also find something, like google does.
