Does anyone want to share their creature gift?
I got a Pimped Grasan Huvourer.

The day will come when we want to generate a wave of new players, who will form a self-reinforcing community, which grows. LIke lighting the pilot on a furnace. We may have but one chance. How do we selectively reach ONLY people who communicate & by typing chat, and would be into MD? Give it thought. Prepare yourself mentally for the day. Don't burn your friends out on lonely solo ventures into GWI.

Reinforce player interaction mechanically... The onus is often on the players when community activity is in question, but the game itself has a huge quotient for mechanical solutions and these should be present. The further time goes on the less need you have to interact with anyone, as all the barriers of you being new are lifted you become independent. Few things require actual cooperation currently.
I think of things like the billboard at fortunes well being a signup page for quest givers/quest takers, not quests as we know them today, but quests in typical video game style like fetch quests, simple trade interactions, an "I need this done please" style similar to treasuries as we have them, specific input and output.
I imagine we can have stats given based on player interactions, stuff that really takes two or more parties to agree or collaborate on something and the end result is like the now hidden "testing" (or whatever it was named) stat, that these hidden stats will have positive affects towards other objects in the game such that a player will need or want to raise these stats although not consciously.

If the ten people who have more consecutive days than I decide to just... forget for ONE day, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Was listening to You want it darker and thinking 'he was conversing with god even at 80, and even then the Lord wanted it darker'. I think it's because you let others depict the imagery of god; it really hurts your mind.

I feel like darkness leads to "god" in many ways, specifically it can manifest "god" to you, but it is only your experience. The darkness is creating your own personal god.
I don't see how you can prove it to anyone. On a more meta level these ideas are purposeful to, dare I say, subjugate you. To grow complacent in the darkness so as to accept the bad things surrounding you as a test or will of a higher power weakens your ability to fight against the darkness as you are willing to accept it. The "light" side of things however is misplaced as an idea inside of you waiting to grow, a false light here, where the true "light" is past the darkness and implanting these ideas into everyone waiting for its chance to assume control in the chaos that follows.

It's not true having merchants in power is better than having soldiers ruling. Wars still happen. It's deceit that starts them and deceit that doesn't start them. How is this a 'better society'? It's not, it's simply different.

I could interpret that to mean a lot of things I guess, but it makes me think anyways... Different isn't inherently bad, diversity you know. I heard it said recently something like "We change too slowly in a quickly changing world" it is leaving us behind, if we don't move forward. So a soldier might fight the war for the sake of war (honor/freedom?) but the merchant will likely fight for the wealth, "war is profit" as they say. Which of these two is more willing to change? I would bet on the soldier who is motivated by the people around them, perhaps misguidedly, rather than the merchant who is motivated by the things they may obtain.

Sometimes I get world sick: We put our children in prisons, put our prisoners to work and tell our workers they're enslaved.

One last spammy mood panel update before I go back to blocking myself. I know what I want, I know what others tell me. I know you tend to never get what you want, as this is less satisfying and less intensive on actions you must take. I will get what I want, whether my wants must change or not. For now I just wait for "phase 2"
