Blooddrop2 seems to give a static amount of initiative (10 percent) regardless of influence used during a fight, even at 100%.

Applying Ledah's Creature Tokens at 0% Aobozu (860220)'s creature tokens [stardust, claw1] Baku (860221)'s creature tokens [claw1] Chochinbi (860222)'s creature tokens [stardust, claw1, blooddrop2] [blooddrop2] Chochinbi (860222) gets 7 initiative (10 percent) Gaki (860223)'s creature tokens [blooddrop1] Ichiren-Bozu (860224)'s creature tokens [stardust, claw1] Kambarinyodo (860225)'s creature tokens [stardust] Applying MRWasabi's Creature Tokens at 100% Elemental I (750219)'s creature tokens []

Also, the text for the token makes no mention of giving any initiative bonus of any kind.

Could you, or anyone else, give me an example of a token whose' influence is directly correlated to the vit percentage?

Posted (edited)

All of them scale the bonuses according to % influence used, even Blooddrop2, but Blooddrop2 gives stats at 100% influence that the token doesn't say it gives and logically shouldn't.

The same rit at different % influence gives:

0% influence used

50% influence used

100% influence used

Claw 1 scaled correctly, giving 1000 power at 0% influence, 500 power at 50% influence and 0 power at 100% influence. It seems Blooddrop1 scales inversely, giving no stats at 0% influence and max stats at 100% influence. It is the only token to do this to my knowledge.

Corrected to blooddrop2 in first sentence.

Awesome thanks. Clearly I have found some old code in the MD codebase as it wasnt doing any scaling!

I will do more digging.

As far as I can tell, both blooddrop 1, 2, 3 are providing a percentage of your stats, ignornig your vit percentage

onyxfangs Does this as well, as well as black diamonds, purpurmoon and a number others.

Perhaps its just your understanding of how the tokens work is incorrect?

However, the description doesnt mention the init which is true. Im inclined to change the description. Comments?

The title says blood drop 2, you paste blood drop two description and it is the correct one, claim blood drop 2 is giving you initiative, then begin to look at how blood drop 1 is affecting your stats:

[blooddrop1] Blood Drop I
Gives a bonus if owner has a certain combination of principles. Entropy and Darkness gives 10% attack, Imagination and Light gives 20% initiative, Cyclicity and Time gives 10% defence.

Ledah has imagination and light, the blood drop two from the logs posted I believe is showing up as an error of some kind, that it is in fact blood drop one labeled as a blood drop two in the logs.See:

second inspection shows I'm surely wrong here, copypasting makes it seem there's two bloodrop tokens stacked, if we could see your creature's page Ledah it might help. Irregardless, seems that  the token in question here, blood drop two, is acting as blood drop one

A bit more of me being wrong I guess:

[blooddrop2] Chochinbi (860222) gets 0 initiative (10 percent)
Gaki (860223)'s creature tokens [blooddrop1]
[blooddrop1] Gaki (860223) gets 1 initiative (20 percent) due to principles combination

If my assumption is accurate then it brings to question why these tokens that would then be similar are behaving differently, I will try to look into this myself.

I can confirm this:

Applying Mallos's Creature Tokens at 0%
[blooddrop2] Innocence (793959) gets 0 initiative (10 percent)

Applying Mallos's Creature Tokens at 50%
[blooddrop2] Innocence (793959) gets 0 initiative (10 percent)

Applying Mallos's Creature Tokens at 100%
[blooddrop2] Innocence (793959) gets 0 initiative (10 percent)

Both of us are missing the prerequisite principle combinations for blooddrop2 and I can guess this is what is causing the token to apply stats that it doesn't list. Can someone else with the correct principles test their blooddrop2 token and see if it works as intended then?

I kinda like the extra init, but it is still giving it, seems like.

Thanks for updating me Ledah, I have updated the description as it should indeed give the init.

Please contact me and I can put blooddrop2 on any creature you wish.

A number of the tokens, as you suggest, do not take into account the vit slider. It looks like Mur coded it so that it assumes that all tokens are multiplied by principles, which are affected by the vit slider but some are not.

@Sunfire @Ledah @anyone else:  whats your opinion on this, shall I make all the bonuses affected by the vit slider as we originally thought Mur's intention was?

Posted

Cheers for the token ;)

Personally I think it is better to have all the shop tokens affected by the vit slider equally. Can always create another class later that explicitly aren't and give smaller bonuses.

Posted

yes have all the tokens affected by the vit slider, as in, using 100% means you are not using the tokens bonus at all, using 0% slider and you are getting full power of the tokens, and all the percentages inbetween

having less than 0 stats myself, I use 0% to get the bonuses from the tokens, and this provides me a decent buff to my stats to help keep me in line against players that have thousands or more stats, being able to use the full stats and token bonuses is not what is implied and goes against the idea that tokens can be an equalizer for newer players or underpowered players such as myself

I'd say yes, do it!

100% vit slider = 0% tokens and vice versa.

As Mallos wrote, it's the best balance for those with low stats.

Seems to me a token is specific to the creature it is on, and so should not depend on the slider at all, which represents your personal involvement (unless of course it is adding something dependent on your principles, then it should).  But then again, I don't really have a dog in this race.

If I am not wrong, currently the slider is in inverse proportion to principles, there are a few tokens that scale with character skills as they are % based on the creature skills obtained with slider or other tokens. I would like to keep them as they are, this change would make most of the fighting power to come from a credit shop and would discourage character progression short and mid term as one would need way more skills than before outscaling tokens.
