  2. Thanks Aia for fixing it, what was the issue? I fixed the error text, now it sais the number of consecutive days not the active days.
  3. new acvhievemnts are available for consecutive days. Each gives a wp also. More wps are good nowdays, makes md more 'fluid'. there might be bugs. i don't want to alter my actrive days to test this properly, please check and let me know ..i intend to get my achievemts for real if possible. thank you

  5. oh yes, thank you for the reminder. and i feel i did not award you something suitable for this remarcable achievement, so i grant you "Mark of History", ..because i don't know of anyone else to achieve this, and such loyalty, even if it stopped at some point (nobody can be "perfect" with this), is worth awarding one of the rarest achievemnt in MD world. So far we have this: - achievement "Force of Habit", 3 of them at 3mo, 6mo, 12mo - wishpoint(s) at 6mo and 12mo - new medal at 12mo - if anything else remarcable will be discussed later here, i might add it. I will implement these as soon as i can. People that sent me the 1Y code will get them anyhow, but all the rest will only get these if the have the corresponding consecutive days at the time of implementation, so if you managed this far, don't stop now

I will still go on with my own plans, but your suggestions will be all cartefully considered and if any will change my mind, i will let you know.   10. Its all ablut the attitude. An older player thst returns to see whats new, chat aith old friends, etc, without any real intention to play would find the island frustrating. A real player old or new that wants to discover the island secrets will find it fun challenge. We need to decide this ancient issue about making things convenient for old vets that no longer have the enthusiasm to actually play, or to keep things even harder for them. The way i see things should be, the island should have different ways for old and new. If a vet becomes stuck there, porting them out is a way to hide from the issue. Instead, we should put ourselves in their shoes and see if the issue is real or just caused by lack of interest.
  11. I think the island is automated enough to be able to take newcommers to the mainland via multiple ways. What you describe has nothing to do with the island but with the realm in general being based on accoubts that are not on the island. If you ask me to chose between moving newcommers where old accounts are, or allowing old accoubts to access the island , i prefer the island as it is, because it offers a good amount of single player activity. Sad to say but single player activity is the only thing that can fix such times, not putting remaining active accounts in same scene.
  12. Probably he means this is just an other ideea that will never come to life. A common missconception due to the huge volume of ideas in md in general. About "normal" alliances, i think it depends on the occasion, its past, its official vulnerabilities, etc. This could be a tool for a well planned passive storyline, or disaster. Either way, change brings motion, and motion keeps things interesting
  13. ok, keep us updated:) All the things i plan are applications of the A25 tools, for alliances, so they can adapt to however the alliances will work. ps. Its not important how easy it is to overtake a leader, but what you need to do that and what you pay/sacrifice while doing so.
  14. land loyalty is indeed a much better stat for this, its something added long after the initial loyalty one. If chew does the voting thing he was talking about, then maybe these can be combines. Allies with a different entrance mechanism will only be able to kick out members or leaders by majority vote, totally eliminating traditional loyalty stat (just from these) I think that sounds ideal, at least in some cases, @Chewett ?
  15. maybe give the info about the secret path in to all current members of that guild plus two picked by them, that are not part of the guild? the could guard it forever, or not..
  16. every backdoor into an ally will come with benefits and sacrifices. Thinking about how to do this, will bring up important concepts and ways of using a25. For example, i think such a backdoor could benefit from a global counter, to prevent it being used too often, or maybe a check for the ally state, to work only if ally is disbanded...things that do not exist right now, but i will code them, and/or document how its done. Alliances and guilds should have such backdoors, at least in my opinion. Someone asked, what if i have 100 woodcutting but i am in GG, does that make me a lr citizen? well... that would not be ok, but if you could get lr citizenship, and ally membership, at a cost...lets say it costs you your woodcutting skill to do this, OR, you keep woodcutting skill but lose all other similar skills? The one not joining via an invite, should sacrifice something for this. This is intended as a sabotaje tool, or for someone that is rejected by that group but fits from a technical perspective with it. My problem is...how to distribute the info on how to access the backdoor? to kings of opposing lands? ps. i am aiming for a self balancing mechanism, not for chaos. Consider such ways to join allies, limited to large time intervals, or by sacrifice, i hope they will be used to conclude tensions that have no way to manifest otherwise. I learned much from past events, disbanding allies without dedicated tools, but by actual treason, is much more hurtful.
  17. i don't think that your plan and mine are in conflict. The one you do is something that applies in a more official way and to all, and the one i am talking about is more of a quest, and totally different to each. A backdoor, because thats what i called this, is something secret, hidden, by definition Go on with your plan, mine will hapen over time, one ally at a time.
  18. I am about to do something crazy, but you can influence my plan here. I want to create an automated way in for all, or some, alliances, that will consider only things that are relevant for that ally. For example, Woodcutters guild should have such a backdoor for anyone with the right woodcutting skill. War alliances should have a backdoor to allow in people based on their land loyalty. You can suggest or demand (depeding on your tag and role) actual setups for this. This will also be a way to infiltrate and disband, but also to revive disbanded guilds. I will use this opportunity to enhance and extend the a25 tools to allow such a thing, because everything will be implemented via a25, so it will be adjustable by a25 team if needed. If you do not agree to this kind of thing, make your voice heard BEFORE i start.

  22. Touching words. Nothing is meant to last forever, that includes also you, me, anyone, not just "a game". From my perspective, i see MD as a place where people come, learn, evolve, get frustrated, revives their curiosity, they make friends, etc.. its a place, disguised as a journey. At some point in life, every such place you encounter teaches you a lesson, then you leave with what you learned. You go on, and the place opens its gates for an other one and so on. People always wished to expect from MD an end, while it has no end. Just think of the concepts..i started coding it when i didn't knew how to code, i put in it things i discovered through my life, and so did many. Such a "place" has no way of reaching an end, its not designed to do that. All i hoped was that over the years i build enough of MD that people _passing through_ it will find sufficient for their journey, not to trap them inside and promise them a conclusion that is not their. Each one finds its own way through, the difference is made by what they gather during this journey, in their mind, soul and life experience. I am the only one truly trapped in here, and as long as i live, Md will live with me, opening its gates to whoever is attracted by its mysteries. Wish you well, I hope it was a fruitfull journey, and as long as you don't self-destruct your account, it will always be here for you if you miss it.
  23. thanks for the clarification everyone. I was worried there was no interest. Sadly i did what i could with the interface, the things left will be done slowly over time. The radical change had to be done asap regardless of cost/outcome because the old one was based on things no longer functional. Also there was no way to keep the visual goodies of the old interface, and the new one is designed on different concepts..i expected this will not be easily accepted but i still believe everything its on the right track, just takes time to perfect and people to adapt. The new interface some hate so much, its something that i thought will never happen and md will die due to it, so..i am glad it is how it is.
  24. The lecture coins announcement was made longer after those that did not enjoy the new interface left or became highly inactive. So, what you are saying is that its simply a numbers issue? Not enough people to put things in motion?
