  1. Errr.... I am not going to say I support or is against the idea. I dont think Mur needs to even make a decision. The idea is flawed. Yrth has pointed out one flaw. I'll point out another, the trainers are hiding in the sanc but the alts are out in the open. I am sure that they will be destroyed even before you can use them. If you are thinking MP4s and MP3s are safe from veteran attacks, you are underestimating the veterans. Veterans are called so, not only because of the time they are in MD, but also they possess the knowledge to do stuff that MP4 and MP3 can never fanthom. Put the alts in front of the sanc, and I am sure Burns will be the first one who will gleefully tear them all apart. Its sport for him, and there are lots of others who will do the same. Not trying to rain on your parade, but unfortunately its a lost cause.
  2. 2 GC
  3. Most of the regen sets at GoS are alts. I am not saying that its right or wrong, but it is very helpful for us that need to lose xp fast. Here is a scenario.... no alts for GoS. All main accs only. A whole bunch of active players slowly lowering their xp there. Normally those that need to lower their xp are active players. A whole group of active players sitting ard GoS hitting at other active players who has regen sets. Give it a month, and a whole new issue will turn up about MD being boring. Before this, newbies hang out at GGG and complains come in. Now active players are forced to stay in GoS longer than necessary..... more complains? Adding Libs there has more pros than cons.
  4. Its a passage of rite. When I first came onto mp5, there were a whole lot of players that pick on me. I know lots of other players who do the same thing. Players who doesnt stay in mp4 and is now MP5, considered strong in MD..... Burns, Leixer, Sparrhawk, and lots more You can be strong if you choose to learn, and even if you give up on being strong, you can be a strong RP player. Lots of fun in MP5, not just combating!
  5. Great stuff! Totally enjoyed it!
  6. Happy Birthday Firsan! Your birthday gift...... France getting booted from the World Cup. Hahahahahaha.....
  7. Banana Chocolate Muffin! Yummy!
  8. We all come into MP5 weak. Don’t believe the lies that you need to live and sleep in GGG to be strong before coming into MP5. High Stats from GGG doesn’t mean you are strong. Having tokens gives you an advantage but not having tokens is not a disadvantage. Its fun to learn how to beat super rits and strong players. Nobody is unbeatable. Come to MP5, its time to play with the big boys. *wink*
  9. I feel only Mur has the final say on whether this is alt abuse. It would be unfair for citizens to start training and get penalised later. If Mur allows it, it would be interesting as it would set a precedent for other Kings to have the same setup. Yrth, It is a very interesting idea but with all due respect, please allow Mur to give the green light to avoid unnecessary complications later.
  10. I am the last person to have an opinion on alt abuse (due to my scenario) I will not comment whether it is an alt abuse or not but I can say that hoarding is wrong. Items are made to be used, and when an item is put on an alt and hidden away, its just wrong. I agree with dst, the concern here is what can we do about it. Lets define hoarding in MD. An item on an alt who is not active in MD? And what if the Main just log on the alt once a day for a minute? How does one catch it?
  11. Here is a thought. Lets for a second imagine that the King of Loreroot is Mur. Decisions, developments, decrees, plans are not executed fast enough (sounds familiar?) Will the reaction still be the same? Probably (like what we are seeing in MD) But the point of the matter is that Firsan is King, elected by both citizens and non citizens of Loreroot and approved by Mur. Just because Firsan is not Mur, words become harsher, politeness is thrown out the window. Just like Mur, Firsan too face the same problems of running a land. But doesn’t he deserve the respect of being the King if not the same respect accorded to Mur? I personally feel the idea of Rangers has its merits but executed without going through the proper channels. True that bureaucracy shouldn’t be a hindrance but it has reasons for being there. The jailing was based on the reaction received after the King’s announcement. Not because of that idea itself. I believe the Rangers idea can still be executed, but a sit down with everyone (King and leaders of Loreroot)to discuss it first is a prerequisite. Lets not cloud our feelings with jailings that was done. Lets move forward. Set a meeting to discuss the matter. If the meeting itself is an issue, send the working paper of the rangers to the King. Let the King get the feedback from the Loreroot leaders. I would love to join the Rangers, but let it be a legal one approved by the powers that be. *smile*
  12. First and foremost, I would like to say that Blackthorn is a player that I respect very much. He was the player who inducted me in the GOTR. I still remember the day he called me away from the dojo to GOE. It was one of the most memorable days of my life in MD. It is most unfortunate that I must speak up against him today. @Blackthorn There is always two sides to a story. During the days of Raven’s leadership in GOTR, there were a lot players who are not happy with him. Raven made decisions that was not accepted by many. Just as Ammy had the same problem, Firsan too faced that issue. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe even Mur faced the same issue. Leaders will always have to make decisions and unfortunately, not all will accept it. You say Firsan will kick out all that is against him? Well, without naming names, I know of a few that is against Firsan as a King, and even Firsan knows it, but he allows them to continue to be in Loreroot, allows them to continue annoying him with questions and actions. In a way, it a check and balance as these enemies of Firsan keeps him on his toes. Note that this group are enemies of Firsan, NOT enemies of Loreroot. They question the actions of the King but never at any instant they endanger Loreroot. When they question the King, it is to his face with heated debates. No openly criticising rudely in the Forum. No inciting of war. No talk of civil war. That, Blackthorn is the issue. You will always have my respect for what you have done for me, but on this point, I would have done the same if I were the King.
  13. Both supporters and anti GGG actually made good points. I believe the issue here is that when one is addicted to GGG and does not venture out of it, thus depriving other parts of MD of traffic, attacks, and interaction with others who are not into GGG. GGG has its usefulness but when one sit in there for days, its like there is no life outside of GGG. I too once was like that. I admit I am guilty of doing it. And for that, I have missed out on RP, quest, going ons around the MD. I do not seek for the GGG to be stopped, but I implore the GGG addicts to stop advertising it on Mood Panels to try and bring newbies in. Allow the newbies to explore and they will find it out for themselves. The excitement of finding something new should be left at that. Even if GGG dies, there will be players grouping themselves together for training. Groups that train by themselves for a few hours and move on to their MD lives. Groups that will not advertise. Groups that will not be targeted by others for annihilation. GGG was not an issue when the MRs were doing it because it is MRs project. GGG was not an issue when it was opened to the public, because not everyone was doing it. It is now an issue because, now there are GGG addicts who not only sit in there 90% of the time they are in MD, but also trying to get more players to go there with advertisement. GGG started as a useful option but is now dangerously becoming an addictive drug for some players. Hence there are veterans who are trying to stop it before it becomes so, if it is not already so. GGG is a great idea of MRD, it is the players who is turning it into a monster.
  14. It is always sad when one gets thrown out of their land or alliance. Unfortunately, an extreme reaction was responded with an extreme action. Rather than escalating the situation, lets talk it out. Speak to the King, NOT push him. We have a saying in my culture, NEVER FORCE A TIGER TO JUMP OFF A WALL!
  15. True that MD allows us to pursue the roles that we want. Develop our roles and shape it in the realm. But there are still rules in MD that binds and shapes our role. A king was chosen, and the citizens of his land is bound by his law. As a leader of a Loreroot alliance, you should have been wiser in the way you communicated to the king. It was an oversight on your side to not have discussed with the king before starting the rangers. It sounds like a good idea but you should have discussed the matter with the king first. The king have spoken and you should have asked for an audience. Instead you told the King off and asked the King to come to you. (I guessed that’s expected since you said Mur can come to you if he has a problem with the logo, instead of you trying to seek Mur out) Anyways, Firsan is playing his role as the King and doing what a King is expected to do. You, probably will start a role as the disobedient citizen. (I hope I am wrong about your intentions) Majority of Lorerootians are loyal to the King, and you will find scarce support for your cause in the direction that you are taking. I hope you will reconsider the actions that will make the situation worse. We Lorerootians take our King very seriously.
  16. My loyalty lies with Mya. I will avenge her without getting paid. (Errr..... I will only be available on the June 20th, still scrubbing down the showers with a toothbrudh)
