  1. Soon I hope
  2. To be clear here, and to keep things on topic: Granos is very correct with regards to some aspects - I understand his concern that I may just create a "let's get together and RP without actually driving anything forward"-group, which I believe is not the case. Nevertheless, it may have come across as such from the text. Furthermore, he did score a very valid point regarding the knightly order and its lack of purpose, so long there are the Guardians of the Root. I will ponder this, but right now I am in favour of removing the "covenant" entirely and possibly adjusting the Cloister, if necessary. He does score a few very valid points which I understand and which I did not see myself in the beginning (such as the redundancy of the knightly order). I will adjust the manifest accordingly, but it may take a couple of days as I will be travelling all day tomorrow. Suggestions on other sections of the manifesto are still welcome. Current "to do": Clarify the "purpose" part to make sure it's clear that the alliance will seek to drive something forward, not just skip around for random RP. Edit the Covenant or remove it entirely.
  3. Hm. You are correct in some aspects. I will ponder them, and I quite incline on following your advice regarding some issues.
  4. YES. PLEASE. MUST. HAVE.
  5. I'm going to sound really dumb, but is there a "Change Log" or something like "patch notes" for A25, where we can read more about what will change and how? Or will we have to discover ourselves, once A25 is implemented?
  6. Oops. I totally went derp on that one. I'll edit it to say "lorerootians", that would be better, I believe.
  7. Hm. If I'm not mistaken, Necro always had fewer alliances than the other lands. Yet I do see your point, dst and I understand why you believe it's invalid. I will remove that, if deemed necessary. Also, @ Ary The CoE was pretty much about sermons and roleplay even back in the day. I believe BFH made an argument that there is no need for "Defenders" and "Knights" and I had actually written my manifesto by that point. Loreroot has its Guardians, there is no need for another alliance like that, rather for something different, which is why I went for this approach. I wouldn't say exactly "monks and nuns", but to an extent, you are right. EDIT: Tried to answer Ary too.
  8. I have written it, as promised and I received no objections to posting it for public viewing. I decided to post it in a new topic, for the sake of clarity. I hope it's readable - I wrote it in a google document and formatted it nicely, but the forum might break some of the formatting. Constructive criticism is welcome. It may not be perfect and there may be issues that escaped my mind or that I did not phrase properly, so please suggest improvement (how and where to do it), if you believe it is necessary. Also, I will update this first post with a list of people currently interested in committing themselves to this journey of bringing the CoE back. Player List: Aeoshattr Powle Darry Dabby StrongWilledLegna Ciphla Who am I? I am Aeoshattr, former Knight of the Full Moon. CoE was the first alliance to open its arms to me. I have learned much from it and I have loved it, yet due to a temporary divergence in opinions, I took the decision to leave, long ago. Nevertheless, my heart remained with the Eclipse for a long time. I have been wandering around searching for another home since, yet I am now fully devoted to Loreroot and to bringing it back to its former glory - which, in my view, involves restoring the CoE. I have been a citizen of Loreroot, but I have also been a member of the Shattered Illusions and of the Knights of the Bell for a short period of time in the past. I have decided to begin this journey as I believe that I can serve Loreroot as a whole better by doing this; as a citizen of Loreroot, it is my duty to ensure I serve the Land as well as I can. Why revive CoE? Loreroot has been reduced to the Guardians and the Woodcutters. While there is more than enough space to accommodate newcomers in these alliances, it still leaves a gaping space open which must be filled in order to restore the Root to its former glory. The Root will not be complete if part of its heart is torn away from it, no matter how many nourish and tend to it. The Eclipse will open new possible roles for the people of Loreroot and those that wish to join it - thus providing us with the room to grow in variety not only in numbers. The alliance was, indeed, more than just a branch of the Root that stretched out, beyond the forest. Its purpose was both to guide the growth of the Root under the light of the Moon, defend the land, retrieve valuable information from lands far away and even delivering retribution when necessary. The Knighthood and Priesthood were valued halves of this Alliance which I wish to preserve, as their complementary relationship proved successful in the past. Furthermore, I believe that the community as a whole (I am referring to all players in MD) could benefit from the presence of this alliance. I hope that the sermons and the ceremonies that will be held will inspire others and provide insight to those that attend them; pilgrimages will provide players with goals and help them shape their roles. I believe the community needs something to bring it together, even if just for a few hours at a time, something to keep it going and provide people with an opportunity to listen, talk and think and - who knows - maybe spawn new plot lines that will drive the Adventure Log forwards and help other players advance their roles and wishes. Do we need the CoE? Yes, I dare speak for Loreroot, we do. Our Guardians are strong and the Woodcutters are meticulous. The Forest is defended and tended to, yet there is a sense of guidance that seems to elude my perception for the moment. The Root needs to know that the Moon has not abandoned it, so that it may grow under its cold, gentle light as well as under the strong, warm light of the Sun. The Forest is incomplete without the Eclipse and thus it will not flourish as it once did without the Eclipse. As I stated, it is my wish to see Loreroot restored to its former glory and I cannot see this done without the CoE. Therefore, I am willing to take this burden onto myself, in an attempt to prove that I am worthy of bringing back and leading this once beautiful alliance. tl;dr: A set of roles cannot be fulfilled without the CoE. The Guardians of the Root are military by default and the Woodcutters are harvesters. It's not stopping people within them from researching or plotting or pushing forwards RP, but the CoE would be vastly more dedicated to this and more suitable, avoiding the creation of "mottled" alliances. What will the purpose of CoE be? Its purpose will retain most of its past goals. The scope of the Cloister shall be to worship the Moon, the Sun and the Stars, share our wisdom with whoever is willing to listen, provide guidance and blessing in dire times as well as in times of joy. There will be ceremonies to be held, pilgrimages to be taken, offerings to be given (which I will detail in a “Book of Rites” that has yet to be compiled from old sermons and new ones). Overall, I am doing this to bring out the Lore of Loreroot to its people and those outside, which I do not see being done currently and, in my view, would be an enriching experience for everyone. tl;dr: Heavy focus on Roleplay that involves many players (gatherings, pilgrimages, etc) and that hopefully will bring life back to the community, but also on research of Loreroot and hopefully gathering enough influence and resources to push forwards implementation of new features in MD. What will change? How, why? Following suggestions, I have decided to remove the Knighthood (to avoid unnecessary mottling of the alliance and creating redundancy), except for a few select spots in the alliance. The CoE will be a roleplay-research alliance with very little, if any, military involvement. We leave the defense of the land in the hands of the Guardians and will assist with our power in times of need, but our goals are not military by default. The Clergy of the CoE will be referred to as the Cloister. I have changed the number and frequency of ceremonies to be held; ceremonies held by the Eclipse are not mundane events and should not be considered as such (thus their quality must step up a notch) and hopefully this will help draw more people to attend them and make them have a greater impact upon those that attend. The ceremonies will be rarer, in order to enable people to plan so that they can attend and to allow more time for their preparation. I believe this is more important at the moment. The changes regarding the Knighthood are mainly concerned with a personal opinion that I hold. The land of Loreroot is not a spiteful, expansive land. We will be adamant about guarding our boundaries, but should not seek to actively expand them. Thus I deemed the need for a powerful offensive force unnecessary and removed the Knighthood. The ranks of the CoE Cloister Seer (1): the leader of the Cloister as a whole, finding balance between the Moon and the Sun. The Seer must provide guidance to the Cloister and counselling to the Prior, as well as to Loreroot to an extent. A Seer is revealed to the Eclipse rather than chosen by its people. Sun Dancer: priest(ess) which hears the voice of the Sun, feels its warmth and vigour. Their souls must match the youth of the Sun and their actions must reflect this. (Regarding game mechanics only, you will be expected to aid lorerootians to gain heat.) Moon Chanter: priest(ess) which hears the voice of the Moon, matching its calm and cold nature. Though empathic like the rest, the Moon Chanters are the best known as the secret keepers of the Eclipse. (Regarding game mechanics only, you will be expected to aid lorerootians to lose heat) Silent (1): The Silent is the right hand of the Prior, involving in affairs that the Prior would otherwise be unable to attend himself. Thus the Silent is only held responsible for his/her actions directly to the Prior. Prior (1): The Prior is the leader of the Eclipse, revealing his/her will only to the people of Loreroot. He/she plays a balancing act between gazing into the darkness and basking in the light, communing with the Cloister and with the Covenant as well as with the other people of Loreroot. The Prior is elected from the Eclipse by the existing Omen and Seer, but also by the two Consuls. The numbers in brackets represent the number of available positions for the respective rank. I will update it accordingly (I do not remember the maximum number of members for CoE) The Code of the Cloister Empathy – a priest(ess) must empathise even with the enemy and guide the Eclipse accordingly. Secrecy – a priest(ess) must never give away the secrets of the Root outside the Forest. What is deemed secret shall be made known to the Cloister by the Seer and the Prior, or even the Consuls of Loreroot. Counsel – a priest(ess) must share his/her advice to those who come to seek it and help guide them accordingly. Liturgy – a priest(ess) must conduct the rituals of the Cloister as mentioned within the ritual, regardless of whom is attending or any other needs. The Seer The Moon and the Sun have revealed themselves to you. None are worthy of judging or deeming what your duty is, which is why you must let the Moon and the Sun guide you down the right path, for your word weighs heavily in the Eclipse. Your presence is required for special ceremonies during Solstices and Equinoxes. The overruling duty of the Seer, however, is to initiate the other members of the Cloister and supervise them throughout their journey. The Sun Dancers You bring warmth and light to the Forest, radiating youth and joy. You must dance for us in times of sorrow and need, but dance even more in times of happiness. Spring and Summer fall under your wings and it is your duty to perform ceremonies to praise the Sun and what it brings to the Forest. (Once per week during the mentioned seasons and every Full Moon in the rest of the time) Empathy is your overruling duty. The Moon Chanters Your dim, soothing light ensures that the Forest and its inhabitants are guided down the right path. Your songs keep the forest and its inhabitants safe during the long night – you are needed in times of pain, to keep the Children of the Eclipse bound together and keep hope lit in their hearts. Fall and Winter are under your spell, thus it is your duty to praise them and the Moon. (Once per week during the mentioned seasons and every New Moon in the rest of the time) Secrecy is your overruling duty. The Code of the Prior Balance – a Prior must show balance between the two halves of the Eclipse: maintaining equilibrium between the Sun and the Moon, between Light and Darkness, between the Covenant and the Cloister. Diplomacy – a Prior must be diplomatic, as his/her voice weighs in the affairs of Loreroot and in external affairs as well. Devotion – a Prior must be devoted to Loreroot and he/she cannot decide to take action against his/her own land, unless it is demonstrated that it is for the good of the Land. Stoicism – a Prior’s decisions are irrevocable, thus he/she must stand by his/her word until his/her last breath. Furthermore, a Prior must acknowledge that his/her decision weighs heavily and thus not give his/her judgement lightly. The Prior The Prior is the leader of the Eclipse; as the Eclipse’s main purpose is to serve the forest, the Prior is elected from the people of the Eclipse, but must have his/her role confirmed by the two Consuls of the Land, or the current leaders of the Land. Under special circumstances, the Prior may be elected without the blessing of the Consuls (such as there are no Consuls alive, etc), however, once the situation is remedied, his/her role must be confirmed by the leaders of the Land. The Prior’s main purpose is dictated by his/her Code and, as he/she holds authority over the Eclipse, few are in the position to judge his/her decisions. Thus he/she must show a sense of Justice and Balance and, furthermore, any infringement of the Code must be dealt with by the Consuls and the Judges of Loreroot. Within the Eclipse, the Prior’s purpose is to guide as he/she sees fit, but also to initiate and supervise the work of the Omen and of the Seer, who are directly subordinated to him/her. Regardless, the authority of the Prior can be questioned and disputed by the members of the Eclipse, with a rite that shall be mentioned in the Book of Rites. The Silent Your duty and loyalty lies with the Prior before anyone else – you carry out tasks that concern the fate of the Forest, beyond its boundaries. Like your mission, your shackles are long and loose, yet remember you are accountable to the Prior and to the Consuls, should you forget where your heart and soul truly lie. Your Devotion must be unwavering. Disciplinary actions (offense by CoE) Should it be proven that one of the Eclipse has broken the Code, they shall be judged by the Omen or the Seer, then by the Prior, and finally by the Consuls, varying with the severity of their actions. Minor offenses shall be judged by Seer. These include but are not limited to breaking one of the rules in the Code, except for Secrecy. This also refers to a first-time offense of the above-mentioned severity. These offenses shall be dealt with as deemed appropriate, though the offender will not be removed from the alliance. Major offenses shall be judged by the Prior together with the Seer. These refer specifically to breaking Secrecy, however are not limited to it. This also refers to repeated breaches of the code, regardless of their severity. The punishment is usually the retirement of the offender’s badge, yet may be more or less severe. Capital offenses shall be judged by the Prior together with the Consuls only. This refers mainly to Treason but is not limited to it. Murder or grave injury of any Lorerootian by a member of the Eclipse is considered treason, as well as revealing compromising information to the enemy, regardless of the current diplomatic status (even in times of peace). The Prior and the Consuls have right of life and death over a traitor and if their decision is to spare the offender, then the decision is final and the offender is banished from the lands for eternity. The Silent constitute an exception as he/she is only held accountable for his/her actions directly to the Prior and only under extraordinary circumstances will he/she be brought to justice together with the Consuls or the Judges of Loreroot. Alt accounts policy: I am welcoming alts to join my cause, however I will be unyielding in regards to one issue: no meta-roleplay. You are expected to keep your alts 100% separate, no exceptions under any circumstances. Information that I share with one alt should not be shared with another alt or used by another character other than the one I shared it with. This includes everything, even if I just tell you what I had for breakfast! I know it must be difficult sometimes, but I will make no exceptions. This will be a role-play alliance (mainly), thus avoiding meta-roleplay is of the utmost importance. Breaching of this will result in a prompt boot to the butt and I reserve the right to kick people that breach this rule without notice. EDIT: Added Ary's suggestion as mentioned in his post EDIT: Updated, considering Granos' suggestions. Added some tl,dr in green text, to highlight some stuff. Hope I didn't miss anything
  9. Hmm. @ dst -Well, most of you are correct in your concerns. Dst is right - I might end up banging my head against the wall that others hit. Maybe I'll be strong enough to knock it down, maybe not. Regardless, I'm still willing to try. @ Shem - I do not mind talking about why CoE failed in the past. While it is true, if I think back to what dst said, I may end up repeating it, I wish to have knowledge of it so that I can do my best to avoid it. If I don't see the tree in front of me, I cannot hope to steer clear of it. @ BFH - Yes, if there is one thing that concerns me a tiny bit at the moment is the number of players around in MD right now. With the risk of being rudely honest, however, I will say that I have found, so far, about 3 players interested in joining my cause. I will not name them just yet. I do not see why some alliances would be allowed to exist with just 3 members when I do not ever see them doing anything related to their role (I may just be online at the wrong time, however) while CoE should be dismissed because of lack of numbers throughout MD. Again, I agree with what you said, to an extent. There are few players left and it will be a challenge to gather a large number of players for CoE. Nevertheless, I believe I am more than capable of gathering enough to support the alliance until the player base enlarges. As for the "starting wars and plots" part... If I announced all of that publicly, it would defeat the purpose, wouldn't it?
  10. No, allow me to clarify this. The first ever alliance I was in was CoE. I worked quite a lot to get in there, and I enjoyed every moment I had there. This is my very first time in the GotR. Due to a temporary disagreement with the leadership of the CoE at that moment, I decided on my own will to leave. Citizenship was not available at that point, so I sought a new home, which I found to be the Shattered Illusions. I get mixed feelings about that time, but nevertheless, dst can confirm that I was kicked out because, to paraphrase, to her 'I was just a puppet from the beginning'. I try not to bear grudges (though I would lie to say I am perfectly fine with what dst did, I am not in a position to judge) and try to see the bright sides of those times too. That's when I first left the game When I returned, I was pretty much ignored by most of my friends in Loreroot, or at least it felt that way. I turned to Marind Bell and was a member of the KoB for a short period of time, before Chewett left it and seeing the people that kept me in Marind go inactive, I went inactive once more and got kicked with the realm-wide alliance-kicking that happened, or so I am told. This time, I returned to find friends that I valued in Loreroot. I was a citizen for a short while, but I wanted to do more. I joined the GotR. GotR was a place I always wanted to be in, even before the CoE. However, once CoE was instated, I decided that is where I wanted to be. Yes, I was in the CoE. The very first alliance I was in. That is one of the reasons why I want to bring it back, but more are detailed in my "candidate" document, which I hope will be available to the public soon. Yes, once more, some things will change. I am not turning this alliance around. I am making small adjustments according to the current state of MD. I am not using an old carcass to try and create something new. However, as the alliance failed in the past, some changes must be in place to ensure its success and growth in the future - or so I believe. But this does not, under any circumstances, mean that I am trying to turn the CoE into something different. EDIT: forgot to answer one of Ary's questions. Hope I got them all. :)
  11. So that it confuses ussssssssss! Probably just an error, though I'm sure Chewett will explain. Reading through his post, it seems like it's open to everyone.
  12. Thank you all for your support, comments and even criticism. I believe all your questions are addressed in my manifesto. I will read through it once more to ensure that is true. The manifesto itself is currently undergoing internal approval. I will update this topic as soon as it is done, hopefully, with the manifesto rather than news that it was not approved. I dare not say more at this very moment in reply to Rhaegar - you will be able to judge for yourself once you read my full plans. I understand your concerns and I hope that my plans do not confirm them; I cannot judge this objectively, as they seem perfectly sound to me, however I will let everyone judge once they are approved. As for Nim, I do not think I am the one who should be responding to that. If any higher ranked Lorerootians wish to reply, whether to support or not, then please feel free to.
  13. Thank you for the information, Chewett. I shall gather what is needed and work on my manifesto in the meantime. If any former CoE members, or new ones that would be interested in joining see this, please PM me (this does not mean you're automatically in, though, keep this in mind. Don't get me wrong, I will welcome old members, yet I must make sure our goals are the same and that the activity requirement is met).
  14. Is it still possible to bring this alliance back? If yes, then I am more than willing to dedicate myself to it and rebuilding it, restructuring if necessary (I shall need to document myself properly first, to read all of the alliance's old lore, which I may have forgotten), recruiting and, if I shall be permitted, leading it. Should the answer be YES, then I will work on a full manifesto as to why I want it back and my plans for it. If it is impossible (due to it being deleted permanently or something as it was abandoned a year ago, I think?), then please respond so. I am only interested in "NO" if it cannot be brought back due to game mechanics or restrictions that I am unaware of. If this information is already posted somewhere, then I apologise for creating a futile thread. I tried looking for it but I must've missed it. I shall suppose I need either someone from the Council or a Mod to confirm this, though anyone with the knowledge is more than welcome to reply.
  15. Principle: Cyclicity I'll go with Cyclicity as in-character, Aeo's life is determined by unending cycles. While each cycle has something new and loses something from the previous one, overall the results are the same - the cycles "drift" but in the end, are still cycles. Element: Wind/Air While individually weak and easily ignored, Aeo can vary from a soothing breeze to a sharp, cutting blizzard. Difficult to grasp, elusive, unpredictable and changing on the outside like the weather, however keeping his essence eternally and enduring, walking on his path until the end of time, which for him, will not come: the winds will not stop sweeping the land. (see cyclicity) Land Affinity: Loreroot is the land that Aeo feels closest to, as it brings peace to his troubled heart. While his purpose may not always be the same as the forest's, he will not harm the Root on his own will. However, even though having only visited it once, he is also drawn to Necrovion, as these two lands resemble his essence: loving life, growth and attempting to protect it, yet being stained by his attempts at gazing into the Void and by the use of blood magic, both for the sole purpose of giving him greater power, power that he needs to protect others. In previous cycles, he has always failed and he has yet to find a way to find balance between the two sides.
  16. 1. Bad choice of words. I should have use "hurt", as you did in your original post. 2. I do not remember saying that I did not want to train without people following GGG rules, but anything is possible, and if I did, then I see why I was wrong. If I did not reject them at GoE, then I rejected them in one of my previous posts here, saying that I didn't remember the negativity around GGG or its rules exactly. Yes, you told me the rules and after you explained I posted that on the forum. I decided not to edit my original post about it even though I understood the mistake because it would have looked like I was trying to hide it. Community implies all the players in the game, as far as my vocabulary goes. It is possible that I am wrong, though. Calling people rude is different from suggesting that you will come and break their rules just because. Though you did not threaten me with stat damage, I dare to compare it to what I said earlier. You can just shrug it off if someone calls you an idiot, but you can't just shrug off stat damage (or lost fights). Sure, you can compensate - I am not denying this, but you can't say "nah, i didn't get stat damage (or a loss), i don't care what your opinion on that is". So while yes, calling you rude may be rude of myself in turn, I don't think it's as serious an offense as your warning. Nevertheless, you have the right to get offended. The party thing was an analogy. Really. There may be no trespassing rules in MD, but the point was that it's strange to go somewhere where you aren't obliged to go and then demand that people conform to your wishes. It is entirely voluntary. Like I said in a previous post, for what I care, everybody may have just ignored me and not come at all: I am not forcing anyone to come and comply to my alleged rules. Yes, I see you saying 'Hiding is not an alternative to train like GGG because,if i wanted i could always tele you out even if you hid inside the pathkeeper to train' and 'I never said i'd ruin your training group without that' as threats as it implies "you either do things the way I want you to or I will make it a pain in the butt for you to do them at all". I hardly think me telling you "I left the game before because of bashers like you" is a threat in any way. For all I know, you could just not give a flying F if one player leaves the game, I don't consider myself such an important player to this game that it wouldn't be able to continue without me. Would it affect you in any way if I left because of you? You have the support of other people in this issue, so I don't really think so. It's something you can simply shrug off. Yes, it was rude of me to call you a basher, though and that may have been indeed uncalled for. Nevertheless, if it DID sound like a threat, it is not what I meant. It was a statement of what happened before. I do not remember saying "I WILL LEAVE the game because of you". In the end, however, I understand your point. You did say "the moment you set rules I will break them" and while that may not be a nice way to phrase it, you are right. I did jump to conclusions. P.S. Making a mistake and being rude have nothing in common. You can be right and be rude, nice and make a mistake, or any combination of the two. Edit: realised I may have retained access to private MB forums as I am a former MB citizen. That feature should probably be removed.
  17. Nim, you missed the point of my post. As for the psychologically hurt part, I will leave it to this: I don't know you, but you don't know me either. Whether one of us is more psychologically damaged than the other is irrelevant. I am fairly certain that if I point out that you jumped to conclusions, just like I did, which I admit may be right, you will not see it, nor will other people. Did I effectively write down any rules? No. Did I say the rules will be the GGG rules? No. "probably" is not "certainly". The rules might have just as well been "Say hi when you come here and bye when you leave". Would that restrict your rights so much? Why assume I want to restrict people from the simple mentioning of "rules". Does the "Do no harm" in the Hippocratic oath restrict people? Did I say I want them enforced on everyone in the community as you explicitly say? No and I cannot understand where you got that idea from. Was I waiting for something ready-made (like you explicitly said you were in the GoE chat?) No, hence why I attempted to get a training group together rather than barge in on an existing one. Did I even suggest that if someone not in the training group came and attacked or somehow disobeyed the guidelines, there would be repercussions? No. Did you offer help after threatening me? Yes, I never denied that. Yes, I use "threat" because you didn't "warn" me. Saying "people will come and mess your group up" or "you shouldn't do that because [rational reason]" is different from saying "I will come and mess your group up because I don't like rules (which I'm not FORCED to obey)" like you did. I'm sure that if I told someone "I'll come to your home and mess your party up just 'cause I don't like the games you play" it would be considered a threat not a warning. My point: you DID NOT effectively do anything other than warn me, as you say. I am fairly certain I actually stated that earlier, that the only problem was the "warning" itself. But I DID NOT effectively do anything either, and you don't seem to see that. My words seem to be taken as actions, even if they're just vague suggestions, whereas yours can be dismissed as "well I just said that, but I didn't do anything" even though they're fairly specific. If I don't understand why and it's obvious, please point it out to me. Also, I don't think my previous post was "screaming" though maybe I am wrong and it came across like that. I really did try and maintain a composed tone and hope I didn't come across as demeaning. Last note, I specifically asked DD not to take this to Grido and I mentioned throughout my previous post that I do not seek to get anything out of what I see (and hope is) as a misunderstanding.
  18. Okay. Dst has a point. Yes, I see that some people do not like rules or GGG. I have genuinely forgotten all the drama about GGG. At that time, I saw nothing negative in it and never really participated in the war on GGG. Hence it was out of my memory, as it was... what 4 years ago? 3 years ago? @dst - I take utterly no offense in your post and I take it as advice. You were clear, blunt, to the point, but not rude or aggressive. I have absolutely no problem with what you said. If anything, I appreciated it. Lin, DD, thank you for standing up for me, but I do not think an LHO report would solve anything. I have abandoned the idea of training entirely and furthermore, I do not wish to make it seem like I'm trying to get something out of this. The problem that seems to elude Everyone and Nimrodel and perhaps Sy to a point, unless I'm reading her posts wrong, is that Nimrodel openly bullied me into abandoning this idea. I did not save the GoE chatlogs, nor have I any intention of pursuing this to any extent of "getting something out of being bullied". I do not wish to quote Nim, as I may not be 100% accurate, but, to paraphrase, she did say she will summon me out of hiding places or chase me around just to break these rules I mentioned there might be. Problem: harassment. I did not mention anywhere "obey rules or F off", "obey rules or I will F you up", "you are obliged to come here, abandon whatever the F you're doing in MD and obey rules or else". It was merely a suggestion of organising things, such as "if you want to come and train, let me know beforehand, if you want to be part of the training group, don't hit and run, give tips, etc". Plus, I don't think anyone has to conform to these rules in all of MD, as some people seem to imply. If you guys don't like it, then you could just leave me to sit there alone like a total doof and not give a F about what I'm trying to do. I understand I might have just blown it out of proportion by incorrectly associating common sense with GGG. I just saw this as unnecessary aggression coming from an LHO. Yes, I have spoken to another LHO and I understand that, supposedly, in this case Nim acted as a player and not as an LHO. While I don't think the two are entirely separable, since regardless of what "hat" she is wearing she still has the power and authority to silence me, I will give her this. This was NOT about forum rep. Sure I don't like my rep going down for 3 letters; people were showing enthusiasm and when GGG pops up they lose it. But it was a faux pas, and despite the fact that I have forgotten about the negativity surrounding GGG, I will assume guilt for that. If any other player without any staff function (e.g. average player) had used the exact same threats on me, I would have probably been more dismissive and I imagine there is a chance the reaction of staff members may have been different, should I have called harassment on it. The problem, as stated above, is when you feel threatened by the staff of the game for not breaking any written rules. If I did miss a written rule about no training groups, please slap it across my face. Regardless of different "player" and "staff" hats, people which possess staff functions have the authority and power to squash regular players for personal reasons and, most likely, get away with it. That was the reason for my "tantrum". Yes, I may have overreacted. Yes, some of the points made by dst, Nim and Sy are 100% valid. Yes, I am likely wrong in some respects. But please do not diminish this to "he got -1 rep and he flipped". Also, @Everyone: Me leaving GotR was NOT because I was denied training by Nim. It was because of internal reasons which required me having creatures; requirement which I no longer met. As my last two cents, I do not wish to gain anything from this, and I sincerely doubt I would gain anything anyway. I dare to hope for an apology for uncalled aggression from Nim, but nevertheless, I wish not to seem as if I feel entitled to it. I understand that some "diplomatic" methods are not always gentle. EDIT: Rephrased some things for clarity; also omitted something which I just added.
  19. My bad. I understand it was a mistake to suggest something like organised training for internal Loreroot purposes. Delete the thread, lock it, post it on the front page for shaming, do whatever. I no longer require training. I apologise to whomever I may have offended.
  20. That moment when I get negative rep from someone not even involved in the topic. This was initially a request for help addressed to Lorerootians, Nim. I am more than willing to turn this into a public thing, as I'm sure everyone (even the particular one whom is currently negative repping me) would benefit from it, however please don't go with "I'll break the rules and ruin it all for you" from the very start or I might just as well keep it all private. Unless that's a joke and I'm taking it too personally, the above is meant very seriously. Humour is sometimes difficult to pick up in text only, so if I missed it out, my apologies.
  21. Alright, I'm thinking. While it may seem a bit unfair for others, I would much prefer doing this inside Loreroot, as it was initially meant for people within Loreroot. I will try and keep it near the entrance, so that you all don't have to bust your AP on actually getting to the location. I will put up some details. I believe that for the sake of keeping the topic clean and not spammy, IF the location is inconvenient, PM me on the forum with a suggestion. Also, please PM me with times (hours + timezones please.) when you guys are free. The population isn't that great, so we can't keep this running 24/7 for now. Here's what I'm thinking so far: Location: Oak Tower (exterior) Time: Anything during GMT daytime, from 8 AM to 22 PM GMT time. I will narrow this down based on other people's free time frames. I will also come up with a set of rules (probably very similar to GGG rules). Glad to see people interested in this! :)
  22. Also, @ Ary, I really appreciate your popes! I just feel terrible about abusing only your popes... :|
  23. It does - I can't attack other GotR people while in GotR and you guys are more likely to actually give me tips on rituals, etc rather than just set some popes up and tell me to beat 'em up :)
  24. Would buy: Dream Spell (though as far as I remember, it's a very special feature, so I honestly expect it not to be for sale) - a couple of uses/week would be fine If possible - get a spell that swaps the player between the GoE and GoC (gazebo of Chaos) based on location (if you're at GoE, it sends you to GoC and viceversa) - a couple of uses/week would be fine Spell scripted on The Subtle Knife: either send to GoE or Kill (preferring the latter). I'd also adore to see it made into a Rare item. Scripted item crafted from the 5 blue glowing shards I have (as all 5 are already scriptable) - Soul Shatterer. Haven't decided function yet. Gold avy? Does this go here? Err... I don't know how much detail should go into these, as I have no idea how this stuff works, but thought I'd post some wishes here. :) Will update with more details if necessary.
  25. Due to the low population of the game at the moment and also due to the fact that I have picked up creatures once more just a week ago, it is terribly difficult to progress. While I am probably in no position to make demands, I would like to ask for the help of Lorerootians. I will probably drop my badge for a short period of time, so that I may train with you. I am mostly looking to get to perfect balance and then get back within the GotR, since as far as I know being in an alliance preserves your balance if it's perfect. Again, I hope I don't come across as needy or rude, but I figured if there's anyone I may ask for such a service, then it's the people of Loreroot. If possible, please confirm if you are willing to help me out. I already have Sunfire's approval, and while I could, theoretically, train just with him, it would go a lot faster if I had the support of more people. Thank you Aeo EDIT: Realised stat damage was because some attack with summoned army :( my bad
