Ok not the contest yet, sponsorships and likewise is on hold for now. Just an opinion grab, if you'll give, because I'd prefer to hear more thoughts on this in recent times. I'm going to try not to reply here unless quoted with a question (because I'd like to hear your suggestions, not mine). To start:
 
How would a head contest be fun for you in the style that I ran previously? Essentially that I can spawn heads onto/off of players if necessary and we can work from there.

 

You could involve the dead since they cant fight, they could pose riddles to reward x amount of heads spawned onto them (would be up to the contestants to decide if taking a tour for a chance at extra heads is worth it, possibly movebound with other contestants could make it a mobile gorefest) you could involve mp7s from gateway, if they agree to play along they could also have heads on them and have different defenses set for different mps to defeat for an extra chance at heads, you could spawn heads on non contestant mp5s and have then run around MD, you could spawn heads on someone like Chew as he sets an ungodly wookie rit that has a 99% chance of winning in defense, etc.

Alright, with my cold getting better (hopefully), I can run the other event I was planning, namely a (mostly friendly) competition where being a good liar is rewarded. 
This is a team sport and I was thinking of 3 vs 3 or 4 vs 4; in other words, at least 6 participants are needed. the goal is simple - to make your opponent's team misjudge your story. The story has to have happened in MD, even if it...never did. In other words, you must either 1) provide a real story that seems like a lie, or 2) create a false story that seems to be true. After one of the participants tells their story, the opposite team asks questions about it for about 3 mins, then they deliberate and call your story 'true' or 'BS'. If they got it wrong, you (and your team) wins!
The rewards include: a pool of 10g to distribute among winners and losers, 2 weeks Death Patrol immunity & pack of 5 research clues for the winner team, 1 week Death patrol immunity and weather&silvertongue spellstones for the loser's team, as well as some crits I will not disclose now.
I'd like this to run in a few days from now, but we need to confirm the number of players. Write in this topic your name if you wish to participate; also (important!) if your story is a TRUE story, send me the details, because I will preside the whole show and I need to know

I am running a custom heads contest, there are three locations in the realm where you can find a clicky to log your current head count and all you have to do is click it. They are in MDA, Loreroot, and Golemus Golemicarum. I will reward the top 3 scores at the start of the next year, good luck.

Hail brother and sisterd, I heard Death Ray wants to GoTR. He said it's been a month waiting on, waiting our brother Valoryn back in the realm. I think you found a cool way to justify your release, not begging for it, not doing anything out of your character to obtain it, but instead just push it further aiming for a more creative outcome and i appreciate that. That was the purpose of me asking you to do this thread, to see if you will do it, and what you will put in it.
You will be released now, but be warned, if i see you are rude and disrespectful again i will not be so understanding anymore. Its one thing to make jokes and an other thing to be an ass and just make my mood miserable for no reason.

I just want to say... I haven't committed an offence.
And as much as I have been in and out off jail as fits my character roll, I should just be given a set of keys or some sort of cool down period before I'm allowed to escape. Maybe put a send to jail button on my name so if some one pleases they could send me off to jail for an X amount of time. I could be that escaped convict that could even reward a player AP, HP or heat, like a portion of mine, for instance for my recapture. Seems more punishing than pleasurable to try and play just to be send to prison just to wait and escape  over the smallest of whims. May as well make it interesting.
So my reason for rerelease is to give this said idea to Mur. Be creative! lets make it interesting and have a little fun with this ordeal.

These heat containers are not shared. there what we get at high mp levels and can by more from the shop. and mine are now gone.
