The Great Wanderer got a reaction from lashtal in Adept Forever? (Maybe Not)
The thing is with becoming an adept of someone is that once you do so it is meant to be permanent. Adding something to make it so you can become "free" just causes more harm to the system in place than good. It is an interesting concept to be able to do it, but really pointless, after all if you really want to be free become the adept of an account that is going to be removed.

Look at it this way, if you taught something by someone you cannot unlearn it (no semantics please) You can get another teacher and learn new things but the fact remains at one point you were a student. In MD's case its being an adept and there is always more to learn.

Just my opinion.
You have a excellent point. I do agree with you on some extent of that. The only thing is, what if you wanted to recognized for your own talents and not for the teachings of your mentor? I understand what your saying, but what about anyone who became an adept not realizing they could never be without a mentor again? They could become a great figure, but they would always be connected with their mentor. At some time or another do you not achieve enough knowledge from one person to move on and forge new boundries on your own? In a sense it could almost be like graduating from being an adept. (This would strengthen the second idea, if true.)

Perhaps somebody is extra picky about it and decided to make you wait until 16:29:58. That is the only reason I can think of, myself, but then that's what asking is for. My suggestion is to PM Grido asking for an unban.

Answering the hot topic of the weekend and maybe of the week, I would like to share my words and also answering everything I read since the end of the past year:

I thanks Curry about the scientific information provided on the day of Blind Justice, not the information per se but with what she gave me I was albe to inform better about this new issue on social life: cyber bullying. I also thanks to Awiiya on his post into this topic,
Form a coalition in game that actively works against harassment.

Organizing is a lot more productive than this sort of blase complaining. I've seen enough of it. Please do something.

Awi
That been said and without futher explanations, I'm inviting myself of said coalition if one is already being formed. And if not I'm building one, and for that one I wish to receive the help of a real life teacher and/or social service professional and/or mental health professional. I would also like to have the help of anyone wishing to apply, (will have a maximum of participants, but I don't know how many for now)

Regards

You all just made me have a good laugh. Thanks

Apparently no matter what goes wrong in MD, I am to be blamed.Yes, I gave Eon the stats and I gave him the SD. I told him to hunt you all and decrease your stats.
I am to be blamed for all the drama when lately I barely had the time to read the forum.
And by whom? Hmm...let's see, maybe a list will help.
-loreroot - yeah old story.I don't like 90% of them and they don't like me. Anything new?Umm...no.
-fenrir -should I even bother explaining?
-sasha lilias - nothing new here as well since I destroyed her ally 2 years ago (ok..not hers but she was leader) and denied her UG citizenship + other things
-pipstickz -he's pipstickz and with that I said it all then flushed and go play outside
-the new cybers that I caught and reported
-innocence cause we had several arguments (btw innocence, I am still waiting for you to sue me)
-redmyth and pothos and insert few noobs here that have been brain washed mostly by loreroot

You talk about harassment? Pff...I barely move away from MDP. I haven't fought in more then 1 year. But yes, I do use words as weapons. And apparently you have no idea how to defend other then whine, rant, scream harassment and go to higher powers complaining that I "violated" you.

Bully? Have you seen my stats? Does any of you remember when I attacked him/her last time?
If you're referring to Eon, well he's your creation . We all are the creation of the others. I would not be so mean if it weren't for loreroot (thank you by the way ). Eon would not have attacked darigan if he wouldn't have started a topic on the forum about that subject. Should I continue with the examples? Hopefully you got the idea. After all, MD players are smarter then average and I still trust most of you when it comes to thinking

I will not change the way I play, the way I say things, what I say or what I think about most of you just to please you.
MD is still fun for me and I intend to stay. Even if just to piss all of you.

I don't know if you noticed lately but I don't give a damn on your whines or rants or your topics about me. Wait. I do give a damn . They are fun. And this time I didn't even need to post in them to flame you. You did a great job on your own. Congratz! You've learned something from me . I am really proud of you.

MD IS survival of the fittest, like it or not. That's what most games are all about (ok...not if you play bookworm...).
MD IS a social game. Most of you seek for social approval. And for that you're willing to lie, cheat, be hypocrites. Well...you succeed. Again, congratz! And of course you do not like the price you need to pay so you start whining on ranting on the forum. And of course you seek someone to blame it on: me, Mur, Eon, lately Greedo. I wonder who'll be next

So, to conclude cause I'm getting bored and I surely have something better to do then teach you stuff you already know but you don't want to admit you know: stop the ranting, stop the whine, stop the drama, stop the cybering (ugh...actually don't stop that I need to catch you first so I can report you and hopefully ban you for a while - I have a reputation to maintain). Go grow some crits. Or sac them if you fear Eon. Or go swear at Mur like smart Curiose did . Or Silverblades if you remember him. Or swear at me if you dare (and I mean in my face not behind my back cause then you'll just prove you're the cowards I always say you are). MD is a game not the Main Bureau of Frustrations Relief. You have other activities for that.

Have fun!

In MD most people are hypocrites, thats just something thats inevitable over time given how things are, that aside what people have done in the past can't we just get over it and try to move on and make changes towards making it a more suitable place for others rather than have pointless arguments. For once work together and make some changes so maybe just maybe nonsense like this won't be as common place and people wont endure what others have already?

Maybe I'm crazy...

The Great Wanderer got a reaction from Tarquinus in First Impression Feedback
I noticed that there was a need expressed for a explanative document in both the critic’s review and your own, Kyphis. There are many simple things that are explained in the original tutorial, but there are ten times as many questions that new players can find to ask.

The critic mentioned on how players were “slow to respond,” to anything he had to say, and were vague in their answers. I know this is because there are few of us, who are not constantly active, and that we want there to be a certain air of mystery about MD, but perhaps is should be clearly defined as to what questions we will answer, and which ones should be found out on their own.

What am I getting at? Well, just as it was brought up in the discussion of Law Advisors and rules, I think there should be a collective document of general information, just for the knowledge of newer players. (Or older forgetful ones.) It could be a collection of simple details on gameplay and just how things normally go on in MD. Find out what players struggle with, and come up with answers or clues for them. Yes, I understand there are the LHO’s, and I believe this document should be their collection; but just having a LHO available is not always enough. (Which as a side note, the critic mentioned on how we have our own “lingo” that only we seem to understand. Perhaps part of the document could be definitions of acronyms and words specific to MD. Such as “Live Help Operator.”)

It’s also understood that there is a FAQ in the MagicDuel game… it is a good start, but is obviously not enough. Seeing as that some quit with many questions unanswered.
And for any of you who are thinking players can just go to the forums to find information… have you actually tried doing this? The critic specifically mentioned how the forums seemed to be filled with players chatting and speaking of the “drama” in MD. It is quite difficult to find information there without having to hunt for long periods of time, so it is not exactly a well of knowledge.

So in ending, I’m not sure the details of how this document should be made, or where it should be placed… but I sincerely believe it should be worked upon and made a reality. Thank you for any consideration you give this; and many thanks for your time Kyphis. I know we all appreciate it.

Due to the Review of MD here, I have made a new alt today called Manifold.

Its job is simply to go through the starting orientation, and see what simple and important concept need to be made clearer to help new players understand the game better.

[s]The first thing I have noticed is that the screen it takes you to after registering an account is incredibly bland:[/s] FIXED
[log=[s]Registration Screen[/s]]

[/log]

[s]The Account activation screen also lacks a lot of MD's style, however the main thing it lacks is a background:[/s] FIXED
[log=[s]Activation Screen[/s]]

[/log]

Upon actually logging in, the first thing that appears is not a welcome screen, not the paper cabin, not even the game, but the DNA choice screen. For a new player, this is going to make the game look like spam.
While I suspect there is a reason for this to be the case, I would encourage that interface to be altered to not turn up until the player has at least 5 active days.

After the DNA screen, the welcome screen comes up. The first page is very good, however from the second page unnecessary vagueness comes into play:
You are now in interactive story mode. First thing you should do is to click the shiny scroll and see what it tells you to do. You can also chat with other players, click them to see details about them. Slowly you will unlock hundreds of unique map locations, recruit creatures to fight for you, participate in multiplayer quests and much more ..
... but not right now, for now just read on...
Click them: I have heard a LOT of new players confused about what that even means. It should make more sense if it said "click their name"
Multiplayer: I have heard a LOT of players asking about where the quests are and why they can't find any. A lot of this confusion could be alleviated if it said "player created" instead.

Page 5 of the welcome screen begins talking about events in the game which don't occur for quite a few tasks, and also give the impression that you are supposed to fight monsters a lot:
Dont expect to defeat those shades the first time you try they are like this so you can learn how to regenerate your creatures.
I would suggest moving these two sentences to the story page, rather than the welcome screen, as it gives the impression that a main goal in the game is killing shades, and can be confusing when you will not see the shades for quite some time, and then not again for a very long time after that.

Page 6 introduces yet more confusion:
After story-mode, you are out again. This stage is the main part of the game where you will upgrade creatures, unlock map areas and much more. Don't search for npc's to fight, you must train your character by fighting other players, talk to them, everybody will jump in to help you as they can. Try to solve the puzzles you find, they are usualy interconnected and will get you deeper in the game.
Communication with other players is most important, you could gain access to places and achieve interesting things just by talking and making new friends.
There are only two puzzles in this game that look like normal puzzles: The Sphere and the Gazebo. The majority of obvious puzzles are player created quests, which are generally NOT interconnected and generally WON'T get you deeper in the game. While there are literally thousands of puzzles that are interconnected in the game, they do not look anything like a puzzle until you have been in the realm for a very long time, long enough to understand what it means by puzzle.
I would suggest revising that line, if not completely removing it. If revised, I would suggest something like: "Many players create quests you can do which have interesting rewards, and are a great way to have fun while socializing and learning about the realm"

Page 8 continues with yet more confusion due to a MAJOR need for an update:
Each creature under your control has its own weak and strong aspects. Setting up the right ritual is always important. Its not brute force that wins a fight but the right ritual. Experiment different rituals and ask around other players for their best fight strategies. Heat, indicated by the "Erolin device" in the upper right corner of the interface, is very usefull and helps you get better reward from the battles but also lets you cast magic at later game stages. On the other hand, heat makes you get more XP and you will hit your XP cap faster and thats not good.
Heat...: Firstly, MP3 players do not have an Erolin device. They cannot use that interface. It is not something that they need to know about there, they will learn it fast enough in the game.
XP: This is a MAJOR point of confusion, which is going to need some serious looking at due to the decisions that have been made in game development. Firstly, the obvious: XP does not exist, it is called.... heat.
However, what sort of confusion does this create for a new player who looks at the list of things that you gain for moving location, when it says that your heat increases? And what about when they look at the explanation for worshiping, that says you sacrifice heat?
Or any of the other references to heat, that mean the magic gained heat, but there is no explanation that it is different from the Experience heat?
If I was a new player, this would be a major point of frustration and confusion to me, and I know a lot of people would quit because of this.
Some kind of decision needs to be made about the choice to name two incredibly important, yet completely different, concepts and mechanics the same thing. It is unnecessary confusion.

Wow, I discovered this by accident... If you go Idle while the welcome screen is open, it just takes you straight to the story and doesn't have a link to reactivate the welcome tutorial. Um... what?
I would seriously recommend making the game keep track of whether a player has reached the last page of the welcome tutorial and opening it automatically whenever they resume the game, just like it opens on the first login.
And obviously, fixing it so the link to re-read the tutorial, y'know, sticks around for a while? Maybe for the first 5 active days, keep the link there?
EDIT: Found the link, however had to do a lot of searching to find the tiny, unobtrusive link along the top. I would recommend changing it to a banner link at the top that stands out, sort of like the other banners that have been used in the past, for the first 5 active days.

Page 9 of the welcome screen again has unnecessarily confusing text:
Each character will evolve on its own path, depending on the story he choses and on the way he is playing. Solve the puzzles , talk to other players about clues, try to reach beyond the aparent restrictions...there is a reason why there are weapons that cost 40k value points and your maximum is just 1k. Most of the players will see just 80% of the game, the secret 20% left is up to you to discover. The true secrets of this game are not behind a puzzle or a door, but behind the way you will play it...and remember, even the newest noob can manage in time to "defeat" the oldest veteran if he understands the game mechanics well.
The bolded section is quite unnecessary, and actually missleading. The maximum isn't 1K. You will go above that number before you even see your first weapon. I started with 1011, before I could even explore. And almost everyone (we are talking close to 100%) will realize when they see an item like that that they just need to raise their VP until they can afford it. It is a basic gaming concept.
However, the message it is sending IS a very important one, so something like this should mentioned.
The solution? Viscosity.
Eon tells me that a lot of the newer players ask about what viscosity is and does. Since the newer areas are generally free of viscosity, I wasn't going to talk about it until later, however here is the perfect opportunity to utilize a brief reference to get people thinking about it.
Instead of the old bold text, I would recommend saying something like: "there is a reason why some locations need more than 600 action points to access, when you only start with 100 maximum."

As a member of the CLC, page 11, the last page, has a confusing bit of text that really bother me:
This game is thought to be played a bit every day, comming back daily will give you certain advantages over time. Talk to the other players, share ideeas and work together to upgrade your characters, they are always willing to help someone new out. A lot of things like fast regeneration of creatures are possible only with help from other players, and no its not cheating, its a unique form of collaborative play so that you can bend the rules of the game in your favor. keep an eye on the changelog, things are updating frequently. From time to time "Game Borders" are expanded and new features, quests or even entire lands open for more adventure.

Welcome to my world, a one of a kind game, Enjoy
The message that this presents is not clear. While the statement is true, it doesn't mention that a lot of the ways that you might try to "collaboratively" play useing alts is against the rules. It needs to be clear that when it says other players, it means other players and not other accounts. However, this message is quite a good one for new players to see.
Solution? Add another page explaining another one of MD's unique aspects: Alts.
In MD, you are allowed to use alts. I'm only able to offer this review of the early game BECAUSE we can use alts. But there are a lot of things that need to be remembered when useing them, and none of this is made clear to players who won't know about the restrictions untilt hey have known for a while that hey, alts are okay.
In a lot of other games, the only reason for having alts is to abuse the system. In MD, they have a genuine purpose.
Think of it like the sex talk: You can be a good parent and make sure they get the facts straight up (from yourself or the school, or someone else you trust), or you can hide away from it and let them learn it on the street, with no real idea what they know and don't know.

Having read through the entire welcome, I have to say that the spelling and grammar is not very good. The whole welcome tutorial needs to be heavily looked at, as a lot of the data is out of date, missleading, and poorly written. A lot of the reasons that players leave that have nothing to do with the filters could be fixed right here.

Further first impression, before going deeper and exploring:

At no point was any mention of LHO's made.

At no point was any reference to the LHO button made, it is a crucial tool for new players who have a lot of questions and a large chunk of them don't find it until they don't need it.

Official signposts, that aren't editable by most players, often contain important information that is missed. These sorts of signposts would be harder to miss if they had an orange glow until they have been opened by a player a least once.
Into the actual story now, the story scroll page when you have acquired your first creature and need to head back tot he land guardian displays this message:
"Now it is time to return to the Land Guardian. However, once you have a creature bound to yourself, you begin to attract other creatures which desire only to devour your vitality."

Tasks:

- Deal with all the threats you encounter on your way back

For the reasons stated before, this is going to confuse new players. There are almost no NPC's in this game, fighting is between players. It is an important warning, however the wording definitely needs to be changed.
I would recommend changing this to just tell you to head back the land guardian with your new creatures so you can continue exploring the land, and have a new page come up when you return to Old Mans Road telling you that Shades seem to be attracted to your creatures now.
ie, for the exploration pop-up:
"A strange creature has formed in front of you, consult your scroll"
For the Story Page:
"Now that you have creatures of your own, new creatures seem to be attracted to your presence, and threaten your life.
Almost all the combat you engage in in this world will be against other players, very few creatures will threaten you as these ones do. Use this rare opportunity to learn how to fight, and how to control and look after your creatures."

Generally, the combat interface is very friendly and user friendly now (thankyou Rendril) however one problem still remains obvious: The Battle Results tab and Summary tab still refer to XP instead of heat.

This is as far as I will take the alt for now. Once a player leaves story mode, they are into the game proper. My main concern is with the first impressions upto this point.
If anyone has any specific concerns with later stages of the game they would like me to look at, please post below and I will look into it as soon as I can.
I would really appreciate if someone could provide me a link to the topic "What makes you quit MD" since I can't find it, and it was supposed to be pinned.

The only reason why Archivists haven't gotten anything done is.. well, oh gee, there were only 2 of them. Je suis abandoned MD, Ivorak and Pample left for Necrovion, Renavoid was just... Renavoid. And he left, too. Rendril codes for MD and Inno has a life outside of MD. Would it really seem fair to point the dirty finger at people for living a life of their own, or even maybe helping MD in itself?

And really... how often is it that there is actually stuff to record that people aren't stuffing up in their yim convos or their 'secret' meetings, eh? What exactly is out there to be palpable and researchable instead of it being a bunch of stupid fluff that people will discredit and claim never happened?

Nothing. Nothing is out there and you know why? Because people are stuck up their egos and their information hoarding that they fail to realize the impact of what happens.

I have heard it said over and over again that there is nothing to record. Nothing to convey into writing. That NOTHING was going on. Especially by some of the 'veterans.' They say that the archivists that the legend speakers are obsolete. And now,at the first major thing that happens, you go and say that we're not doing our job!? For christ's sake. How can you even make the assumption?

Fyrd has TRIED making the community get more actively involved. If there's anything you have to blame, blame the people who don't care enough to be involved except in their little bubble of spice and flowers.

Now. On topic:
It is sad that Necrovion has to fall due to the blundering of its 'king.' But as Peace has said, perhaps a fresh beginning would be best for all.

The Great Wanderer reacted to Muratus del Mur in A Show Of Force 1 - Part 2
What I am about to say, is worth reading, even if it will be long, it clears a mystery at the very base of MagicDuel, a mystery guarded for years.

The answer to the question "Who killed Marind?", is something almost none of you knew. Some very smart figured it out but kept the secret and i thank them for that. When I had this story done for MD, by Adi, the one writing it, not even he knew who killed Marind. When initial project was done, you can't stop a writer with such a rich imagination such as his to continue writing and made up stories. This resulted in a wave of rumors and myths, all very damaging to how MD is built. Its not his fault at all, its the fault of those of you that could not let the questions STAY, for those that can handle them, and felt they should start ranting and bitching about how totally messed is MD and about how acient lore is broken and missing. Of course people ask, that was the point. You (and you know who you are) failed in understanding MD. First part of understanding MD is to respect its secrets and not share your stupidity and ignorance to others, amplifying their superficial belief that things are somehow wrong around here.
A new player, or even an old one, that did not bothered to much about the story, finds it easy to believe when he hears all your ranting and complaining and thinks its the way it is. That prevent some of the most beautiful minds around here to even atempt to understand MD, since they believe its nothing to understand after all.
Thank you for ruining the mechanism i tried to build..because in a way some questions without answer were part of that mechanism. MD worked fine untill you people shared your frustrations and incapacity to understand MD with the rest. Thank you for nothing.

- . - .--
What is the cube?
You all start in this fantasy world, MD, locked in a room with a spooky girls and some candles burning. Slowly you figure out the room is fully closed and that the girl is not a normal person. Eventually you exit that room, Marind takes you out of there and you enter MD world. You will notice Marind is now a ghost, and becomes more unreal as you move on in the story. Marind was very tangible in the room, in fact, in some story branches she can kill you too.
You find out if you know how to look, that you came out of a cube, and if you digg deeper into MD ,you find out everyone came from its own cube. Now i ask you, what is the cube?

The cube is the created bx around your soul and mind. It is not a natural construction, or it would have been a sphere. The cube is a symbol for borders, artificial borders. We all have our own cube we live in, be it the room we are in, the town , the closed group of friends, but most of all the borders of our own mind and understanding.
If that is our own cube, then who is marind? no one else could be in your own cube, except yourself! Marind is just a part of your self. In dream psichology for example, the little girl represents you the dreamer (I found that out later, its true). When you exit your cube, you have to kill some things in you, or they wont go well with the world outside. Childhood dies when you go out in the world, some misteries remain and other peoples worlds interfere.

You killed Marind. Each one of you. She doesnt even exist beyound your own cube borders. You seek to find her but slowly you loose her. The story never ends, it was never supposed to end. It has chapter 3, and a planed chapter 4, but it was never supposed to END. Marind dies and how can a ghost die other by forgetting her memory, getting her lost in the rants and the activity that follows after you exit your own cube...

The Carnival? you enter a world where others enter the same way, use your brain...

As you enter MD world, everything in MD becomes a mirror of yourself. Your fantasy world merges with the one of other people. You are not looking at an outside world but to a world within you. These symbols are not random thoughts that just sound nice. They are a clockwork of extreme perfection. The candles, the land weapons, the land balance, even the individual locations, they all make sense seen from this perspective.

Now you see why having any made-up ancient lore stories about who Marind was, is so fundamentally WRONG and damaging.Any bit of additional information on the past will ruin the clue that this world is not a fantasy world planed to be a fantasy world , but one that emerged from your fantasy and does not have and "Ancient Lore". Give it an ancient lore or made up stories about its past and you will alter its present meaning and unbalance all its symbols and its entire mechanism. Respect the question and the answer will respect you. Hurry with an answer and you will get just that, a fancy answer.

By what i said explaining this i killed a part of myself and a part of MD together with it. I dont expect those of you that made me do this to understand, but i expect the others to respect MD secrets more.

If you think i spoiled you the entire thing MD is about, you can't be more wrong. MD is more deeper than you can imagine, then the people working on it can suspect. If you care and know where to look, everything in MD is a intricate puzzle of logic and feeling. Even within this text i let you see more than one path towards other things to discover. MD is a private challange for each of one of you, but some of you just failed it.

This was the "show of force" in my own way.

The Great Wanderer reacted to Muratus del Mur in A Show Of Force 1 - Part 1
Some forget, some do not know, that MD is a very delicate machinery build on logic gears. It is an intricate mechanism where nothing is random. Such a machinery needs secrets buried at different levels of complexity to work, same as a perfume needs incenses with different times of effect so that together they build a delicate and beautiful sensation. Like notes in a symphony that cant sound random for the music to be pleasant.

Some of you, most ignorant and disrespectful, "veteran" players, think they know better. Building messenger groups and continuing the shit they started long ago and that i really hoped it ended. Well it seems these people continue to fuel such discontent and distorted beliefs to those they still can. No need to give names, but they know I am talking about them.

One of the things that keeps being fueled by such groups is related, again, about how ancient lore is missing and about how bad i did, destroying md, when i baned ancient lore and fairy tales type of things. They complain and bitch about why i have something against about digging up the past stories and inenting things along those lines.

I already said that the "ancient lore" doesnt realy exist, and that what ady wrote after the initial plan is not something i approved... you ignored that.

Because i am full pass the limit with your bitching, i will sacrifice one if MD biggest secrets, one if its main gears, just for you. You will realise how wrong you were, but it will be too late.
In return, i promise you will be sorry you find out the answer, because the questions i will cause after it will puzzle you even more. MD is much more deep than you (*points at specific group*) ignorant and persisting people care to know.

I will tell you who killed Marind and all you wanted to know about "ancient lore". Over 4 years i managed to keep this secret and USE it, now i throw it at your feet to show you something. If you understand what that something is, good for you, if not, keep bitching and complaining.

I appologise to those of you that do not deserve such a beautifull gear, secret, to be revealed this way, but like i said, MD is still much deeper and this secret will reveal new logic mechanisms.

To be continued....

There were some issues between Jester and Phantom, Both of who retaliated
to each other, and therefore both were at fault. It was reviewed several
times and decided that neither should receive punishment due to this
reason.

Perpetrators and victims of sexual harassment do -not- share culpability. Period.

Weird...

Am I the only one who thinks MD got better, rather than worse as you all say?
Except saying that, I don't want to interfere in your... discussions... I already said too much I have on the subject on too much topics, about your "definitions" of roleplay.
Md has gotten better in every way EXCEPT rp. Personally i fell in love with MD BECAUSE of the rp. and it is getting harder and harder to find good rpers

The people make up Md.without the people The MD worls would not last long.

The Great Wanderer reacted to Muratus del Mur in viscosity , reasons, effects and intentions
This is a public reply to the concern of more people that think viscosity is destroying MD

viscosity won't change.

it is a change that cant be fully understood by old players that knew things one way, but its inteded to change the way md is perceived. The viscosity increases basically distances in the realm, traveling from one place to an other is equivalent to a larger distance, the feeling of "discovery" is strengthen when you adventure in a place harder to access. You complain this is destroying the game...lets be honest, how much have you traveled till now , when there was no viscosity? You notice its hard to reach certain places only now that you got scared they might become inaccessible but while they were accessible nobody visited them. Traveling to get heat is not what i intended traveling for.

Quest makers that find it difficult to sustain their clickables will receive a new way to do that much much easier, hopefully within a month, depending on how well my other work (new items and such) goes. Keeping clickables active won't depend on viscosity or far away inaccessible locations.

Pickles are not the solution to viscosity, Fyrd is just one man, his items are more intended for special occasions not for "solving" a realm wide "issue". Visc is not a problem/issue that needs solved, it is a concept change that you will have to deal with. There are countless reasons and _side effects_ i am counting on, many of them are not the obvious ones, and i will not detail them.

The settings for viscosity might change over time, such as the speed it increases at, but the changes are not inteded to keep ENTIRE md fluid. Those that hope to achieve that have very noble intentions but i advise them to focus their efforts in keeping certain paths open rather than entire areas.

Under these updates everything will change, especially things like head contest, quests but also, very important for me, i will be able to keep certain places theoretically open while practically closed at the same time. This means the potential will be there, for who cares.

I am sorry I can't tell you more of my reasons, but i am even more sorry you didn't get used already to the fact i actualy think ahead when throwing apparent wild random changes into play like this.

The Great Wanderer reacted to Seigheart in Using "gay" as an Insult
As many of you have noticed, a certain individual had used the word "gay" as a form of insult on the Moodpanel. In reaction to this, others have blown up and responded to this form of "insult."

This post is in response to both parties, for they are both EQUALLY WRONG.

Being "gay" is not an insult. For either party to take think this, is just disgusting. Those who have endured years of torment for their sexual preference should be admired, not pitied, or made fun of. They chose to be outwardly DIFFERENT. They could have hidden their desires and done things the "normal" way, but they hadn't. They chose the hard life, and that life means they are happier.

For those of you who call people "gay," think about yourself for a moment. Have you ever done something so courageous as defying one of Society's most important rules? Not likely.

For those of you who pity those who are "gay", where do you get off pitying them? Protecting them? This is just as big an insult to these people. They do NOT need protecting, nor to be coddled.

Once again, being "gay" is not a BAD thing.
