Having some way to pause your evo gain/consecutive day gain/etc to ensure your streak isn't lost when you can't log in for a period of time/holiday

Why this is important

• Your consecutive active days is now tied into many factors in MagicDuel, one of the key areas being Active Days

• Losing your streak and becoming stuck is becoming a more common affair (see @Sunfire )

• For people who literally won't be able to log in, I feel penalising their lost active days is unfair

• Previously I could find somewhere with internet, an internet cafe, and log in. But now I would need to spend 30 minutes doing lots of stuff for my active days to count, now this is more problematic

Being able to pause it for a week or two, with some negative affects, seems fair especially when you know you wouldn't be able to log in.

It will be incredibly disappointing if I lose my streak (which previously just required logging in) but now requires a lot more effort. I'm likely to be without phone signal for a period of time, and even logging in would be tricky, even more so gathering evo points.

Maybe the community's response is "deal with it" but I would hope the community are kinder than that.

I believe this is a great suggestion, and if I may interject my two cents. You can log in, sneeze in character, and draw from your deck of playing cards (or use any other tool) to immediately hit the 2 sector daily streak bonus. It can be condensed to down to 30 seconds.

Yes, that is useful for people who only need to do 2. Not so much for folk who need to do more.

I do think there needs to be a balance - whether players have a certain amount of days in a given year, or they can "bank" a certain amount of activity for the future.

Or, keep it as-is I suppose, and make it that much harder than it was before.

hibernate option, if you pause, you can't login and do anything in that period, and you can not stop it earlier. Primordials might starve as well, but your consecutive days will resume when period ends. .. and if you miss the start you can also lose them.
Just a predefined set of timeouts available per year, use them as you wish whenever you wish but once consumed, only next year will they be available again.

Hardly a "lot" of effort to make an active day count compared to before. It literally takes seconds.

I need four different evo categories and unfortunately that is not as quick as you imagine.

If we want to keep it as it is, that's fine, but I'm not sure the demoralising effect is good.

If your account is "frozen" then I'm not sure there is value. I wouldn't keep consecutive active days but lose all my primordials.

Primordials can be cared for quite quickly, gathering all the evo points needed to keep my considerable streak is not easy on very limited internet.

Maybe the answer is actually just "lose it chewett, free yourself from MD"

I have found that, regularly, a singular action of a specific evo line, doesn’t always give me a “mark” towards it.

I can see I gained value, but it wasn’t tracked as far as I can tell.

Maybe a feature request for @Muratus del Mur is to make it show you which evo lines counted for the day?

I also seem to load up my evo page, it claims I gained X. I then close it and reopen it and it claims I gained X again?

I would expect it only to show the changes since I last opened it, does it do that for anyone else?

If you spend any time engaging with my posts you would see that it’s not as simple as Fang is claiming. If you wanted to help you could provide some thoughts, ask questions, learn why I’m struggling to get the values (see above).

Trolling? Hardly. I simply pointed out that it takes seconds, not half an hour, to get your day to count. I disagree with the entire premise of making this easier just for the sake of convenience.

Not everything needs to be streamlined. If we keep removing the effort required to participate, it starts to diminish the value of actually being involved in the realm. The goal shouldn't be to log in, collect your rewards, and leave.

If you can't take the time to log in and actually participate in the realm, then I don't think you should be entitled to the AD and other rewards that come with that participation. Those rewards should have some connection to actually being present and involved, rather than simply showing up long enough to claim them.

And if that makes me sound harsh, then I apologize if I want to encourage active participation rather than rewarding laziness. Missing a day is perfectly fine. Real life happens, people get busy, and nobody should be punished for that. But I don't think the system should be changed simply to make it easier for people who don't want to participate at all. Sorry if you think that's abusive towards you. That actually made me laugh lol

Ah, yes, this is a visual bug (or feature?) that occurs every time you do not allow all of the + points to show fully. As in, if you only let the application bar show you it's +digit, and then go do anything else, and come back, it will once again show every single +digit until you allow the entire list you've unlocked to populate the additions. After that, it stops. Until you gain more points or course. But I digress, all of your points are valid. I don't think you should have to struggle to maintain your veteran tier active days

I have an... Odd suggestion then. How about this. For every year of active days you have logged in (total, not consecutive) you are given a day of leeway in between login streaks. Ie : if you've been playing for 365 days, regardless of streaks, you should be able to miss a day in between maintaining your streak WITHOUT losing it. In chewys case, if he's been with the realm for ten years, he would be able to log in every 10th day and maintain his active days streak without fail. I feel this rewards his studious effort to the world we love, and recognizes his position as a veteran who has earned his perspective the hard way. HE is exactly the sort of person, the sort of Fable that we as a community should be rallying behind. Regretfully, it took me far too long to recognize that Chewett represents the absolute best of what MagicDuel has to offer. All I can do going forward, is show him the exact same level of respect and empathy he has shown me for near two decades. Even when I didn't deserve his kindness.
