1. With how things are, I won't even need to compare it do draches. 99% of the time, a non-boosted chaos archer already works way better than knators.
2. Not make them uber strong, but make creatures useful at all stages. Right now the only use for knators are just for mp3s, when the huge attack it has can still offset its targeting. Right now, when we get stronger we do not move to stranger creatures; rather we move to all-targeting creatures, or the closest we can get to it (energy burn and life steal has no all-targets, so multi would have to suffice). Stats increase at a very fast rate and creature base stats almost has little to no effect on choosing the creature, the targeting is the only factor that determines the choice. All-targeting creatures has lower attack than multi-targeting and single targeting creatures to balance their power, but this factor has been erased with the humongous size that personal stats has in comparison to the creature's stats. The creatures won't be uber strong; their strength is proportional to the player who owns them, but with this those creatures actually has a chance to compete against the standard target all creatures (archers, drachs) and will actually promote more strategy rather than farm as much attack and use an all targeting creature.
3.
Why should having multiple accounts with spells be alt abuse? Abuse occurs only when accounts interact. If we're really worried about this, restrict these special wishpoints to a shorter list of user-type spells, like the MP6 list. Creating these new spells would pad out the wp shop nicely....
Hence why there are suggestions to move some wish deeper in the shops; especially those that are transferable (drach mutation, colorless joker, and items though not actually a wish fall into this category too). I think most of the wish that should be made available early are just the spells; transferables, access to restricted places, and editing abilities should be moved deeper.
4. Well, not really. Tickets only mean that they cantry to have an item made. No tickets mean no possibility to have the item made. It's basically a Mark of the Crafters revisited again (on another thought, maybe I should start using those again..). And if there is already an explanation on the wish item, and the person still buys the ticket before confirming if the item he wanted would be creatable would be creatable - well it's his/her own risk. Think of the ticket as a currency for buying the service of crafting - even if you have the money to pay a craftsman doesn't mean he will make something for you (oh, and no, the ticket won't go to me, it should be consumed upon usage). Making items has never been easy, at least not with me. The purpose of what I proposed is to keep them at the same difficulty level as it is right now, or else it would not be fair to people who made items when WPs were a much more hard to obtain commodity.
5. Just for information, if this ever comes through (when is probably more appropriate..), I'm gonna be much, much stricter on item creation, although I cannot say for the other 2 with the item creation interface. In fact, I'm wondering if we can put item creation on Wish Shop, so instead of taking WPs directly, you should buy a ticket (non transferrable) from the wishshop, which will then be consumed on item creation. This way we can regulate the item creation by adjusting the depth of the ticket in the shop. Doesn't exactly prune all abuses, but maybe will regulate things better than none at all.
6. Bumping this so it won't get forgotten. I like Rendril's idea (it's better and easier to implement than mine), and this would make non-all targeting creatures a good strategic choice again. Any new comments (after a year o_o)?
7. I see no reason why these shouldn't be retroactive. It's supposed to be a reward for loyalty, not a way to punish those who has been in the game for long. Still, I can't agree more with how it seems that there's so much WP to be given. I'm suddenly going to get 6 WP (would've been on the way to 8th if I had logged in everyday), that's almost as much as the WP I currently have! O_o
8. Those without any specific land affiliation should probably choose No Man's Land? Not sure if NML or just blank prefix would be more appropriate. Something like this? Listing the lands for reference. 9.
The one thing that confused me, was the mention of coins... Perhaps I read it wrong, but non-paying players are able to join the raffle by submitting coins?
No, this one is Paypal payers only. The coin mention, I believe, refers to the coin auction from a while ago, which was being compared to this raffle due to coins coming out of credits too.
10. Spelldocs for tombola prizes? Seems like a unique, useful, but not that harmful to release periodically.
11. So is it Grido or money that is dst's next spouse?
12. Happy birthday!
13.
Grr...did you have to make that public? I though it was something I said just to show you how much I want that other thing!! You're...you're...<insert word here>.
soon-to-be-hubby?
14.
Its easy to train when you actually have creatures left to train with,but..after meatgrinders clobber me every time, i have nothing left to train with.My 20 creatures dont last long, and any rits i build up, get quickly demolished at will, including my ve which is sucked up by veterans attacking rits.when i try and get honor back, which is hard as i am -230, i run up against not trees, but maxed drachs, angiens, and store creatures. ,many of them tokened to the hilt. Its easy to say train when yoou have such creatures of your own... try it without any of them..
Like some have posted before me.. There are ways to mitigate this, and I thought it is quite common knowledge. Why not use cannon fodders? It's pretty much what everyone (except those with godlike rits/stats/tokens - even then a lot of them also use it occasionally) use in defense to prevent unwanted deaths. The only problem with these is for people like me who has too many losses (legacy of ages past), but even then, with some engineering using commonly obtainable creatures, it is quite easy to remedy.
15. It's been ages since I dabbled in mechanics and researched the logs carefully, so I don't know if this has always been the case or even intentional, so please advise. I noticed that when a principle based token value is said to be applied at 0%, the text still says that the creature receives xxx of y stat instead of saying 0 of y stat. Is the log only telling the max value but in reality applies the appropriate % of that value (which, if this is the case then I think it would be much more informative to show the real value instead of the max possible value), or is there a bug with tokens applying their full strength regardless of the listed %? Oh, and I remember something about tokens working at full capacity when in defense, but the stuff I'm talking about also happens on offense.
16. On topic: RP wise, I do find this an exciting turn of event. A legitimate king with support of quite a majority of the people, versus the son of the late king who suddenly appear to claim the throne. As an RP event, I am looking forward with excitement as to how the events will unfold.
17. Update: White ash plank and two silver coins added from Rakaustan for a silver tipped hanbo.
18. In that context, Necrovion does belong to the shades (or to be more precise on the wording, the Shades is/are the one who supposedly has jurisdiction on it). Loreroot, historically was led by a 'council of leaders' that consisted of Nelya and KC, and who knows what other imaginary council members (according to AL, there is a council who led Loreroot - far from before the time Nelya started inviting more players into the later known council). Seems like the last time KC was played (before the then-going-to-happen war with GG), he was acting more of a military commander though (the players was said to be different). I don't know if it was a sudden continuity retcon or whatever. Point is, both statements above is actually true, to some extent.
19. I may not know the whole story, but as far as I remember, Peace, as heir of Khalazdad, was elected Queen of Necrovion. And when the time came, she passed on the crown to Jester. So in my view based on the limited knowledge I have, Jester is a king acknowledged by the Khalazdad Dynasty, in a way. Thus, I don't see why another representative of the dynasty should seek to overthrow him.
20.
MD is the sort of game the hand drawen images are what fit with MD Scanners are not expensive you can get an all in one printer scanner for less than 100Euro i am sure if you look you may find them cheaper. 21. Since the subject's been brought up again though.. the ability to mail your mentor? Mentors can mail adepts directly, is it possible to have the other way around option as well?
22. Happy birthday pample!
23. Okay, turn 1: stunned you! stay there doing nothing turn 2: stunned you! stay there doing nothing turn 3: stunned you! stay there doing nothing turn 4: still there? Take this and die, ultimate attack!! ..duh?
24. Free credits are kaput, not credits in general.. And free credits was never transferable so it never was an expected method of payment, so the recent events is actually irrelevant.
