3. Happy Birthday, Cap, wherever you sail.
4. Eon, for the service you performed in MagicDuel as an asset to the community, and for the service for which you are leaving, you have my profound thanks. Strength and honor, friend.
5. Happy birthday!
6. You should feel bad, Curry. You are a bad person. Give it up. The "MD get-together" thing for Yanks only has been proposed before. You can tell what fun it was from all the pictures posted from the party.
7. the crux of ducks is bucks for schmucks, apostate from a prostate view. a dithered withered leather lathered? Sucks! eclipse my name, encompass you.
8. Happy Birthday, Marv. Hope it's a good one.
9. I do find it strange that Master Lorerootian archers give nothing but principles on sacrifice, but no... it's not a bug.
10. Ivy/Butterfly. The Ivy might have some aspects that fit me, but butterfly is way, way off. My brother used to say I am as social as a bridge troll.
11. Probably just outdated text. Unallied characters' max AP is 90.
12. I purchased this wish on Tarquinus quite some time ago, and my access to Oak Tower remains. Something is awry with your wish: seems like a definite bug to me.
13. Congratulations, and do have fun!
14. Joseph Campbell (sometimes accused of being "Eliade without footnotes") observed that if the message of all myth in human history could be condensed to one sentence, it would be: follow your bliss. Many think they can guide their lives by making rational decisions. My experience is that reason very rarely decides anything when emotions come into the picture, and that many people are more emotional than rational. Do what brings you deep happiness and let the rest sort itself out. carpe noctem, as Toten says, and don't worry about the next.
15. Sorry to hear it, Sage. Hang in there.
16. Howdy, pardner. Long time... no eggs.
17. I only know it’s tough, to be broken. I know the precipice is sheer when fragile truth remains unspoken and destiny is left unclear. But still I take it in my hand this mist that twists with my delight, particulate throughout the land whose wispy tendrils take my sight. The fog’s enshrouding lassitude benumbs my senses, deep and warm with promises of love renewed and phantoms of my lover’s form. Into the twilight I am led to walk the cliffs above the sea, in sympathetic stillness fed by Autumn’s dancing mystery. The swirling paths of leaves I take and offer thanks for what I find: the love of life without mistake, the fascination of the mind.
18. Happy Birthday, man!
19.
I dont get it. Why is everybody, especially the vets, being so negative about this post? Is it so bad that you got your asses kicked by a mp3? ...You may say that feb is setting a bad example to the new mp3 players that grinding is the way to go, but I say that he is just introducing another way to play the game. We all choose to play this game, and we get play it the way we want it. It is not like grinding is against the rules.
No, you very obviously don't get it. Letter-of-the-law systemic exploits to keep an aging MP3 at that mindpower are not only against the spirit of good dueling, but a very real discouragement to other MP3s who attack this account. Didn't that occur to you? For a new MP3 player, an MP3 that boasts of beating MP5s would be no fun, and would teach absolutely nothing other than that there are lots of bullies in this game. Here is a seasonal shop creature some people will never own in conjunction with maxed creatures of an advanced type. Here is a ritual you cannot duplicate by normal means. Here are creatures with more VE individually than you have altogether. Look, you died in round zero! Wasn't that fun? ...Seriously, that's meant to motivate relatively new players?
He might not have done it the way you expect him to, and why should he if he does not like your way.
The player of feb is unscrupulous to say the very least. He cheated, deliberately losing a fight, to ensure he would win a wish point in a tournament Cryxus and I sponsored. He will never get anything from me ever again, least of all respect. I work with a guy who has a rule about his PVP videogame league: in order to join, you have to demonstrate that you have a full-time job. Some kid or anyone else sitting around all day doing nothing but learning how to get ahead in a game is going to be a better player than people with lives. That's not impressive. It's a time-commitment many of us are unwilling to make. I can't speak for anyone else, but aging MP3s inspire only contempt in me, and the same goes for aging MP4s. They're a perversion of how the game was meant to be played. Setting up an uber-MP3 is, in my view, nothing more than uber-lame, and bragging about that account's exploits is more than lame. It's offensive. I'm more impressed by people who token the hell out of their rituals, since at least they are contributing monetarily to the game.
And to those who think the pictures that nad posted are considered spoilers... o come on. Are you kidding me? They are just pictures of some crits, I mean it does not even tell you what kind of creature is it, nor does it tell you what the creatures can do. They are just pictures for god’s sakes. To new players…they are no more than a glimpse of what is the future of this game has to offer. Those creatures can motivate new mp3s to keep playing.
Please. A spoiler is a spoiler. nad and feb aren't giving MD free press. They're flaunting their commitment to the lamest way the game can be played. I put up with nad's posting in the Mood Panel about his armpits in the GGG for months. He's obviously proud of his 0-xp grinding, but I don't really want to hear anything he has to say.
So before you give me those negative reps, think deep down why you are doing it.
Yeah. I did. I neg-repped you for writing an asinine post.
20. Poetry is personal and difficult. The artistry of a piece is a separate consideration from its thrust, though in the best poems one informs the other. Looking at your structure, I see the difficulty posed by the translation. With deep respect to Totenkopf and others, I think your literal translation is the best rendering of the poem. The meaning of it is difficult for me, but that's a good sign. Keep writing, Mur.
21. The second image is similar to Kittiness's avatar, but not the same. That avatar has been in MD quite a long time. Though the pose is very similar, the image does not strike me as a copy of the second image Ren has posted.
22. I'll bid 7 silver.
23. I can only suggest the same things I suggest to others in a similar problem: find people in the game who will help you get out of skill damage. Make sure that the fights you fight are getting you victory (Sword Balance) results. If you aren't sure how to do this, ask people like Burns and Shadowseeker. Most vets will be willing to help you in some way or other. It would be a damn shame for the winner of MRD's last quest to walk away in despair. Don't give up! People will help you. Don't be afraid to ask.
