By the terms of the Pact, we would not join the war. This is a dire hypothetical and we would do our utmost to prevent its coming to pass. If open war were declared between Loreroot and Necrovion, the Eclipse would remain neutral. There are further hypotheticals, such as Necrovion invading Loreroot, and that is something that we clearly, as defenders of Loreroot, cannot allow.

The previous terms of the Pact were legalistic and very specific. It is my opinion that we should trust each other to act in good faith and work out the nitty-gritty details as they arise. The Pact I have posted above is a much simplified version that presupposes good faith and cooperative spirit. I do take your point about conflicts of interest, but my opinion is, oh, what the hell. It's just a game, and the worst thing that can happen is that something interesting and unpredicted will happen.

I could be wrong. But I'm willing to take the chance, in the name of fun and good relations in the game.

I follow your logic, duxie. I'll have to think about it. My reasoning is this: CotS invited Neno without Lord Pip's permission, and Lord Pip kicked him for it. This seems to indicate to me that Lord Pip didn't expect CotS's action. Moreover, I don't know that one must have pledged loyalty to someone in order to betray him. Joining an alliance implicitly (in my mind, at least) declares one's allegiance to that alliance. Working against that alliance is therefore treachery to my way of thinking. CotS seemed to know that what he was doing was treacherous, and Lord Pip certainly seemed to realize that CotS was a liability if he stayed in the CoE. The two of them remain on good terms in-game, and I applaud them for that (really!). But that doesn't mean CotS didn't betray his former "master". It just means the betrayal wasn't all that hurtful.

But that comes back to my point - we can call CotS a traitor without necessarily being spiteful. We all have our reputations in the game, and most of us have earned them.

Well, actually, I'm not. Tarq is, because CotS betrayed his trust. But Tarq is just a character. As nearly as I can tell, and Tarq's flak at him notwithstanding, CotS seems like a pretty nice guy. I've told CotS OOC as much twice: once during his giveaway, and once at his joining the Treasure Keepers. Tarq may be judgmental and grudge bearing as all hell, but let me emphasize - [i]I am not Tarquinus,[/i] and Tarq is not I.

Now, I confess I'm annoyed that CotS's attempt to help the CoE didn't succeed, but as the leader (now in exile) of the CoE, I have to bear responsibility for that failure. I do know how to take an alliance and I know what went wrong, but the blame for the failure of internal communication among my group has to lie with me.

There's one other thing - it's been said that the (now exiled) CoE's comments in CotS's PL have been vicious and judgmental, e.g., "[i]Traitor - not to be trusted.[/i]" I'm sorry if that comment offends, but it happens to be true. CotS seems like nice guy, and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but he [u]is[/u] a traitor, twice over (he betrayed Lord Pip by inviting Neno). It does also annoy me to be condemned, along with my crew, for stating obvious truths. We can all be courteous OOC and have a good time in MD, and there's no good reason not to. I don't see anyone having the moral high ground here.

The true Eclipse - that is as distinguished from the "official" Eclipse who took our badges - has renewed its Pact with the leaders of Necrovion, Peace and Azull.

These are the terms of the pact between the forces of Necrovion and the Children of the Eclipse, one people, one purpose.

Wearing the name doesn't change anything. It's quite similar to CoE: with or without the badge, according to you you're still the same group. Wearing the badge doesn't change that.

Nobody needs roleplay about wives and children and all the other stuff that doesn't actually benefit anybody other than perhaps relief from boredom: It's for fun, nothing more. An example of roleplay that was actually worth the time spent on it is the dig that was however long ago, in the graveyard.

Some aspects of Khalazdad's reign don't deserve the admiration they receive, and I'm talking particularly about his twilight years when he started a "family". What exactly did he do? Sit around and tell stories. He talked and talked and talked, and so the seeds of what's been dubbed New Loreroot flourished in Necrovion. I detest it. Don't get me wrong, personally, he was friendly, generous and knowledgable, but he was not the leader that deserved Necrovion. The Khalazdad "Dynasty" is nothing but a fairytale (read as: Legend) now. It does not have influence outside what it's few members as individuals possess, and to be quite honest, it never did. If you want to keep legends alive, let them remain legends: that's what the wiki, forums and the archives are for.

after all we already have options to see original message we wrote when somebody replied to our pm and we can as well see our reply... so why not make it fully cascade, and have all pms on that subject under same link

It took me a looong time to decide weather or not this thread deserves an answer. It doesn't but on the other hand maybe it's time to clear some things and enlighten you a bit once and for all.


Let's start with a bit of history: Shattered was created for me. I didn't "work/plan/etc" to have it. To me it was "perfectly perpendicular" (as we say in RO aka it didn't matter) if I had an ally or not. My goals were different by the time I got SI. So, because Si was created for me I became Role Leader. I guess you all know what that means. You are willing to trade SI for CoE. And you were "kind" enough to give me a hint on how to achieve that. The answer to this needs to be elaborated a bit.
First: you underestimated my friendship and loyalty. I would have NEVER EVER asked Eon to give SoS back to pipstickz so I can get SI back and you can trade for CoE. I would have simply moved to SoS and waited for your next move about SI. When I would have gotten bored by SoS see my first paragraph and you will understand what I would have done.
Second: I would never ever help Loreroot even if that means that I will lose some things especially if it comes in the form of a blackmail. NEVER EVER try to blackmail me because it will never work. NEVER EVER try to squeeze my hand like that. --fail no. 3 for former CoE members


I showed you what I am made of. I am not a whiner and a beggar. I took the matter into my own hands and ALONE I handled it (ok, not completely alone since Eon morally supported me all the way and I have to thank him for that). I got my ally back through my own powers. I didn't make forum posts complaining about the issue. I never came to any of you asking/demanding/begging for my ally back.
And with all the above, you all screamed bug abuse and other **** like that. You should be ashamed. You're like the young dog that barks at the passing cars showing how brave it is but when it gets hit by one it starts crying.

If you were noble and moral as you pretend, instead of whining and screaming and probably go to Mur/Council (to report me that I used bugs) you could have simply talked to me and asked me. You preferred to go to 3rd sources. I was the most reliable sources but I guess you are not brave enough to face me. Strength and Honor? I say BS. You have no idea what strength and honor are. You're weak and you are cowards. So don't come to be telling you know more about it then I do.

Concerning CoE: I see it as a crossroad, with a couple of paths I could have taken. And all paths are covered in mist.
I chose one, it was a grab in the dark, and I knew it was a risky thing to do.
Sitting idly though, wouldn’t have helped more.

Of course it popped up in my mind, and I discussed it with some people. But this was because we had no idea how this all was happening. We were only trying to find out what happened, for one can not know everything.

I asked Mur if he returned your alliance, because we did not know what happened, and because I know you are a role leader. Council? No. I also never said to Mur that you used bugs. I explained what happened, and I got my reply.
I did not ask you directly, for I thought you were going to respond in a not so nice way. You would indeed be the best source to go to, but I thought you wouldn’t have liked talking to me then. A misjudge maybe, but mistakes happen.
And when did I tell you I know more about it than you - I know that, and even more so now.



There happened things, that I thought were not a good thing, and I started a topic to explain my thought about it, is that forbidden?
There is a difference between voicing an opinion and whining, although it may seem like a thin line.
I always try to understand others when facing a disagreement, and I ask others to try to understand my reasoning too.



I’m not a wall to talk to. Nor am I perfect.
I misjudged and I made mistakes. Afterwards, I tried to voice my opinion upon a matter that bothered me.

If you get kicked from an alliance while in an illusion, at the end of the day, you're still a person in an illusion. Meaning, that the alliance kick is still an alliance kick.

Just because you put on a disguise doesnt mean your character shouldn't be affected by anything. It is still there, wearing a mask.

There seems to be something tricky about mixing Illusions with kicking someone from the alliance.

Someone is in an iIllusion, and get's kicked.
When the illusion is reset, the settings of the player are put back to the settings before the illusion (in this case, also before the kick)
This means, that said player is returned into the alliance, even when recieved a kick.

I discussed this with Mur, and he told me this should be discussed with more people.


Mur believes the 'bug' here, is not being able to kick a person when in an illusion, otherwise the change is futile.

My personal opinion, is that illusion reset should not be able to interfere with alliance status.
Not being able to kick someone in an illusion, I think, makes it much too overpowered.
It is a cloak, yes. But you can still punch someone who wears a cloak right? (Maybe I've got to re-test that in RL, but I'm pretty sure it works )

A little chatting today in the park brought up an idea what we could do some sort of an event and make a bonfire or something simmilar. Using branches and other resources like it. We would use heat to fire it up and maintain it or so.

I'm putting it out here so that people can put their ideas to it and to see how many would actually be willing to participate and contribute. And all the details will be worked out (location, date, any additional events etc) with the help of everyone I hope.
