PS: I am all for Team Socks vs. Team Hats, because socks and hats can both be awesome or really, really bad. Also, they can be purple.

  4. CAUTION! The below content contains OPINIONS and should not necessarily be understood as fact.
1) I would be willing to pay 3-4 gc if someone were to create the item for me and then give it to me. I could supply the items needed and description upon request.
This is essentially buying a WP, just done in another order ie. instead of you buying the WP and making the item, they make the item and you buy it, and so against the rules.
2) If someone would do the same above, but I would replace their wishpoint with one that I am owed and also give 1gc
Again, basically trading WP in a different order, so against the rules And Sasha, Mur hasn't commented on yrth's abuse. PS: If anyone wants evidence of yrth's abuse, feel free to contact me.
  5. If there was an upper class in MD, I would be the poor man dressed up fancy, mingling with the important people.

Point me to an important person. Mur doesn't count.

      Chewett

Important in my view? Becuase i wouldnt really say there is a defintive list. Rendril i would say is important. And whoever the council is. Grido probably is being head of Lho's. The kings are relatively important since they hold their lands position. Whacha class as important?

      Pipstickz

While those people are important functionally, do they really have power over a lower class? For is it not the lower class that defines the upper class?

  6.
See i would disagree that both of these issues are spoilers, Because people should find out themseleves, No such infomation in skill damage is avalible in the announcements, and therefore i personally would say that are a spoiler.
Actually, information on both skilldamage and access to odd places is available in announcements.
  7. If this was an insult contest, your imaginations would all be the winners. Yet, after this, I doubt even one of you could see my point.

S'pose it's easier to just explain; everybody who answered my previous status thing expected me to insult Lorerootians and all of them responded as if I had done so.

Is it fair to say what I said? No. Is it fair to react as they did? No. My point is made. Who learned something today?

  8. Yes, potentially eliminate all of the few ways people have for getting rid of creatures. Now, before anyone else suggests something silly, think of how your idea compares to getting wins on a creature. If it benefits or detracts from the value (personal value, not trading value or anything) of the creature more than having wins, I suggest you rethink your idea. As with profile balance, it is desirable to win lots, because that gives you stats, but if you win too much, you're going to get into negative honour and get nothing. Model it similarly.
  9. There's only one type of Lorerootian. Bet nobody can guess what it is.

  10.
why would a creature dying many times be a prerequisite? unlike wins its not something you need to work for, and would more be something easily attainable through no real work.
Did you say the same thing when you read about win/loss balance? Almost anything in MD can be attained through no actual work, you know why? Because it's not work, it's a game.
  11.
And leaving credits sit doing nothing isn't silly? And how exactly is it inflation? Leaving credits sitting doing nothing and giving extra ones out is inflationary. Using what is already there as opposed to not just dishing out more isn't. Actually, this all seems to be a ridiculous argument. Give the funds back and then either redistribute the remainder or bin it. What is the point in leaving it sit in a defunct fund? Its just going to result in this debate cropping up again in the future. My personal opinion is that leaving it or binning it is an awful waste.
Firs, what if the day after the credits are distributed, somebody comes back and asks for their credits? There should be no remainder. Everybody gets back what they put in, since that is the only beneficially fair situation. But of course, that's all assuming Mur or the Council or whoever distributes ANYTHING. PS: The only reason you think it's ridiculous is because your opinion is the only one you see clearly enough to recognize. Stop kidding yourself.
  12. Phantasm, try reading the thread description:
A new quest that will be the deciding factor in my new role.
You can't have a role if you don't have a character.

  15. Just gonna get this out of the way now; 3 BPs or 2 tokened jokers AND coins is a bit much for an unaged, untokened Marksmen. Actually, so are Nutcracker and SW. But y'know, if someone happens to have a couple tokened jokers lying around...>>
  16. Tainted Warriors leader is Jester.
  17. Mind Power is your current level in the game, and also how many principles you have currently. It is in the form x/y where x is the principles and y is your level. When (if) you advance to MP4, you will be 3/4 until you choose your next principle. In other words, no you can't spend it, there's really no purpose for showing you that I can think of...unless you forget.
  18.
In the past, MDA used to have a lot of factions and guilds/alliances of which many people have been part of. Most of which have died off. From the list: [s]The Crafters[/s]-Moved to Loreroot [s]Artisans[/s]-Inactive [s]MDNP[/s]-Inactive [s]Advertisers[/s]-Moved to Lands of the East [s]Sotis[/s]-Moved to Lands of the East [s]Dimensional Shifters[/s]-Inactive Legend Speakers Archivists
Just gonna point a couple things out; Crafters were never in MDA, they used to be called "The Creators" and were in Loreroot with a totally different logo n' stuff, then item creation was created and the Creators were revived and then changed into the Crafters. MDNP was not an alliance or guild, it was a project that could still be revived, though a format change would likely help. Soldiers of the Inner Sun was Mur's admin alliance, and was most likely put in MDA to stay neutral. Imagine Mur with Marind Bell or GG homeland Advertisers were never really active in the first place. In the time I spent in there, the most work I did was going through toplists and deciding whether to allow Redneck in. The leadership was lacking, to say the least. In any case, MDA itself won't die. There will always be people who write things, they just may come and go at different times. For example, Awiiya is not technically a citizen of MDA or a member of any alliance, but could you not call him a Legend Speaker for the stories he writes? (At least, if I remember correctly; sorry Awiiya, I haven't read your stuff). Similarly, you could put together a group of people who, say, enjoy RPing and call them an alliance. On alliances though, from the perspective of a newb, an alliance is a group of old, scary players who'll never let you in because you don't know anything and you suck. Obviously, that's a bit extreme, but you get my point. So...y'know, be newb friendly if you want some new talent. Scout it out n' stuff. Yeah.

  22. If your creatures could still gain wins, there'd be almost no reason to lower EXP and therefore no need for a cap at all. In other words; not gonna happen.
  23.
I think what laphers is referring to is the chevron-like thingy. That one is just an indicator of active days (I don't personally see it as something that must be considered a spoiler, but mods are welcomed to remove it if you think otherwise..), which means you'll see difference as you log in everyday (at later levels changes happen every quite a bit longer though). I assume you're referring to the titles written in text though, in which case when you get it is really not fixed, though if you have a good role, you'd have a fine chance of getting one on the next festival.
He could be asking about the VE indicator bar as well.
  24.
When you consider love you not only have to consider the ones you may love but also those that you are genetically inclined to love like your family. One of my favorite sayings is the only people in this world you can truly love and hate at the same time are your relatives, because to not love them for bringing you into this world, caring for you, and giving you one half of your outlook on the world(the other half coming from your environment), would in most cases seem utterly insane to most people.
That's not a genetic thing. Today, we may be socially obliged to care about our parents, but if your parents abused you, how would you have felt about them? Or maybe your grandparents or foster parents raised you, and you've never met your parents. You are certainly not genetically inclined to love family, it's just a common social circumstance. In any case, on the actual topic; In my opinion, it depends on who you are and how you think, and also on the conditions under which you meet the other person.
