1. New solver - Eldar Doomspell now... if lazyness doesn't beat me again, I will try to finish the procedure of sending the coins to the works that are best in my opinion (or leave the best impression)
2. hehe, yes, now I can get wasted legally, vote, sell votes, drive (legally ) and get prosecuted thanks everybody!
3. I agree with Neno it sounds fun maybe it should be used only in special variations of creatures, something unique. Like Unique level of a drachorn (random example)
4. yes, but the credits were not distributed as planned (as far as I know? those donated ones anyway), thus the trust of the donators would be betrayed if it would be used for something else (or not used at all, thus, the refund)
5. if there are any credits donated by a person whose account got deleted, then we should judge upon that leftovers, and not upon the whole fond (I agree that there's a problem if such case exists, but you presented it at first like it affects the whole fond, unless I received a wrong picture). I don't think such case exists since deleted accounts are very rare in MD. Banned accounts can get unbanned over time (which happens frequently), so I wouldn't keep the credits from banned accounts, if I were calling the shots. If such leftovers exist, then we shall act upon them (discuss possibilities if contact with the donator is impossible). Making arguments over theoretically possible EXTREME cases, is contra-productive I believe. No harm done will be if the credits are returned to their rightful owners - if they want them to be kept in the circle of MD's official projects, they will be free to redistribute the credits in other treasuries (LHO one for example).
6.
I am sure there are many things in the realm that need this sort of fix or redistribution. Hell why not just say all the fund now belong to MD and the MD staff or Mur can only decide what to do with it if they choose to do anything with it.
belong to MD staff? what are you talking about? You people realize that this isn't real money, it is just a bunch of ones and zeroes? That Mur can "invest" millions of credits in projects he wants to? (as well as the MD staff itself, as far as I know) Firsanthalas, as far as I see, you're answering to Pip is only being motivated by personal issues you have with him. I think it isn't correct for you to judge someone is inactive and then take whatever you want from him (even those avatar captures were controversial, but at least, Mur refunded every taken avatar with credits), if any credits are going back to the donators, then EVERY CENT of those credits should get back to it's previous owners, that's the ONLY right thing to do about refunding the credits. Other than that, if the first is impossible, then the credits should be used what they were brought to do - stimulate/reward artists. (or stand still until it is possible to use them again) There are some ethical norms that people should understand. If nobody complained about their "wasted" donations, it doesn't mean you can do whatever you want with them. There's also a chance that someone invested RL money to donate some credits, it would be VERY incorrect to those people to take their donations and put them in another budget (in case, someone moves the whole fund)
7.
I am going to play devil's advocate here because I think people are responding emotionally rather than rationally here. Firstly, I do agree that donations should be returned. However, I guess that some people have left and its also possible that Mur gave some of those funds as a donation. I believe this has been done with a few funds in MD (I could be wrong). So, in all probability, even if you return the donations, there will be some money left in the kitty. I see no reason to leave it sit there idle, when it could be put to good use elsewhere. I'm not saying it should all go to the advertisers, but to simply leave it in situ seems a bit like cutting your nose to spite your face. I would say that anyone that hasn't logged in for 12 months (or some timeframe people find acceptable) be considered gone and any funds they donated be left for use elsewhere. Anyone else that is still considered to be around should have the funds returned.
Mur can send thousands of credits to anyone he wishes out of nowhere, so taking the credits from artisans "just so they don't get unused" is a bit silly. It creates some kind of inflation additionally as well. I agree with the proposition that they either get back to the donators or that they stay where they are (if the artists were payed earlier anyway)
8. I think that MDA, in difference to mainlands, doesn't need great population, it needs several dedicated people, and help from aside that can easily be received even today. I personally don't like being labeled as a neutral, but I like to do objective/neutral projects that have some positive effect, so when you put up a concrete project you're gonna do first, you can count my help, if it means anything to you (just be prepared that I can be very lazy at times x) )
9. I would like to help, since I am a history fan to the bone First that could be done is documenting the major events of this realm that have only traces of them left deep in the forums (or some none at all). Something that would give at least a surface picture about realm's activities through it's "life" to the modern day newb, since it takes a lot of time for new players to run into some stretched basic info about realm's history. Tho, my opinion is that every land should document its history itself, but since that activity ain't that developed around here, MDA can might as well help about it. It would take some time... perhaps interviewing "remaining" people about events you work on, create an objective short summary of events and such without going much into details that, as Chewett frequently mentions, get curved by the author, you know, just post basic thesis. You can record many events, from conflicts to festivals, major game changes (RPCs - Kings), so new people get the idea "how was it done", who is the most experienced person in areas (like event-organizing), and such. It takes a lot of digging on the forums, and GREAT CARE about chronology, but, I think it's worth it. You can employ some new players to do you minor tasks, like, contacting certain persons and asking them something concrete.
10. please be patient people, the quest isn't forgotten Emerald is having tests in RL, and had a fever recently too, as soon as he normalizes his activities, best works will be choosen.
11.
Really amazing quest one of the reasons i got addicted to this game so early. Thank you Princ for this interesting trip to the realm
thank you, TTL, this kind of feedback makes me feel pleased about the quest cause it had its effect at least on few, and made all the effort worth it. I'm happy to be of help
12. one of the better ones in quality so far, I think. Great work
13. "size of a nation is measured first by it's ideals"

14. and you believe, Kamisha, that this "sunlight" we have is as live-giving as our Sun in reality? MD is mirroring our minds, not our Earth, therefore it doesn't have to follow scientific rules. Do your dreams have any sense?
15. if we gonna go there.. why would you think mountains are colder in MD? do you realize we know nothing about, firstly, nature of the "sun" in MD? It isn't like the Sun that shines our Earth, or maybe it is, you have to prove it first in any case. There is a chance I'm completely wrong here, but by my opinion, pine trees are totally irrelevant (so is any other plant) unless they present some symbolical value where they are desired to, cause we are here on a development of our minds, spirits, sort so speak, while having fun along the way. Each has his own mission to fulfill to himself, some answers found in MD can be very well applied in RL (or at least, the struggle to find answers will serve you in general, not just in MD, and I'm saying that realizing that "question>answer" became a cliche here), so this world is not supposed to make new Earth. People are creating imaginary worlds within an imaginary world. Anyone is free to tell me to stop if people are here willingly roaming in their own fictions - there are artists in RL, creating "new worlds" despite having their own real world to explore, it's natural to have artists here as well, which is nice, but I am just making a point to those who are seeking the truth. Pip made a point
Not that this means nothing, but perhaps it would be more pertinent to look for what is there rather than what isn't.
if the topic was made out of pure fun or tease, then forgive me. This is just my opinion and I am not trying to degrade anyone.
16. echoing.... echoing in my mind...

17. sorry to see you go. I wish you all the best in your life, farewell, MrM!
18.
sorry if i'm posting it in wrong place, but i think the warning is a must here. as Burns told me of possibility to complete his quest on mp3: "Technically, yes. Practically, that's almost impossible to reach all the places and find all the hints without being MP5." so, the quest is really interesting and informative for new players, and i'd recommend it for other mp3 too, just dont get upset when you reach the stage at which you'll need just leave it be. i hope Burns wont take it as an offence for me posting his pm. i think next time the quest should be described more precisely, as "a little tutorial-quest" is... at least confusing.
I really know nothing about Burns' (nor Mya's) quest, I just added it in my main post cause people were advertising other quests in this thread, so, for trying to make the thread more-readable, I asked a mod to delete those posts, instead, I would add the infos in my main post. Thanks for clearing that up tho, I guess...
19. do you really expect that the artist makes this world 100% accurate in geology like in RL? There are limited number of scenes in MD, it can't cover all types of trees and whatever else. I am really skeptic about Mur leaving out pine tree on purpose just cause it symbolizes something, or making a point about nature of this realm via pine trees... You didn't question yourself how do the plants create CO2 when there's no night, or something like that, but why are there no pine trees... you have, I believe, noticed that you can't feel/see the weather here, as far as we know there's no winter (or any season changes for that is), so climate requirements... are a tough subject. p.s. there is at least one Pine tree - Christmas tree at GoE
20. instead of wondering about gazillion of important mysteries in MD, you are asking about Pine trees...
21. ooooop, one more: Duxie I should distribute the first coins soon... the problem is, I am lazy to recheck all the entries to pick the best ones (in my opinion)... hmmm maybe in few days x) soon anyway!
22. another two finished the quest: Luc Recial Aelrond
23. you misread, I said -considered- not -are-. Your logic applies only if the system is perfect. What if the extreme happened? (I'm not that known about computers to state what could have happened for them to be recognized as alts even if they ain't... perhaps one in a million chance of their dynamic IPs taking the same address.) My point is not that you have to fix it immediately, delete (even if you could do that) the log where it is said Ansouinc is Leixer's alt, I'm just saying, it could be answered in a more friendly way rather than making a point that Leixer must have done something stupid, made a mistake for ansouinc to be named as his alt. I mean, Leixer just stated what he saw as a problem, and shortly after that, people already want to close the topic and degrade Leixer's complaints. (even neg rep him, and me btw ) I don't know, maybe I'm just haunted by some fictional standards of moderators actually being helpful with discussing possibilities with those who post some complaints.
