1. Since there was no rule 6 stating what happens when/if rule 5 failed I assumed it simply looped. If rule 5 fails, then rule 5, or something to that effect, also, if you will notice, (and I said this in the first response...) Jester had already responded, less than 2 hours after me. Also, I said it does not look for ANY ritual with over 301. When I said that I meant that it most certainly, does not, 100% sure, look for any rit after the second to last, or I could not go random. I said that I felt it was relatively common knowledge, and someone else would post. 2 hours later, about a month before you posted here... Someone did. For some reason I didn't feel the need to randomly spam, hey look, yup, Jester and I were right, I checked it again too. But in the future, if you would like me to follow everyone else's posts of absolute agreement with my 95% sure statements I can do that. Just to be specific on this, when I posted I had been using the fact that it did NOT check the next to last to protect important rituals I had created for months, had suggested to others that they also do so, and had noted it's success in the past. Normally when I state I am pretty sure that doesn't work that way, what I mean is, I have tested this myself, seen that this is not the case, at least from my understanding, and am looking for confirmation from others that it does not seem correct, not that I have never looked into this, but for some random reason feel, perhaps psychically that it does not work.
2. Rule 5: Multiple invalid rituals If neither last nor prior to last rituals are valid using "Rule 3" and "Rule 4" a random ritual is picked from the list of rituals you have. This is what I mean, the game WILL NOT pick a random ritual from the list you have, it will MAKE a random ritual from the critters you have available. And sorry, I am sure, it creates a random ritual if the last one does not meet the requirement. It does not attempt the next to last, and does not then choose a random ritual. I assumed that your rule implied that Rule 5 would imply the game will continue choosing random rituals until one worked, in other words, would take a ritual you have set that complies with the rule. This is not the case, and I am positive. When I posted I was 95% sure that it was wrong. I had intended to check, but figured it was common knowledge that that rule was incorrect and that someone would have the answer. Soon afterward Jester did. There for I did not feel the need to post the follow up.
3. Necrovion looks like other lands, it does not think, it does not feel. If others war, it does not want peace, if others make pancakes it does not get hungry. It may contain some things that do think, but the land is nothing but land.
4. The honor system makes no sense, and taking the stat damage away and leaving the exp reward they would get would be bad. The whole system is just screwy. Getting rid of honor would get rid of stat damage, and exp reward. Simple. And no, I don't love the new achievments. I could care less, but not much less. I still haven't gotten any (wouldn't be hard, but I haven't bothered). And again burns, if people like Lifeline or MRD or whowever just keep getting vics, they will become perm balanced and never need to give out a loss to anyone.
5. Oh, I went back and reread the first page, it's different now. I somehow missed Mur's post too. Why was I not on the list of applicants? Ahhh yes... Knator dung. Well, it served it's purpose but I won't go into detail. I also was totally thinking scrubs. It's true, the land needs taking care of, but I for one am a little sick of people always taking care of their damned (am I allowed to say that on here? I don't think I've ever sworn before in MD, but this is the most annoying thing I've noticed in MD) land. I like LR, it's a fun place, because I like the people there, same with the archives. I could care less about the walls and the trees, I care about the PEOPLE, not the actual place. Yeah, I want the tribunals taken care of, so PEOPLE can use them. If the temple goes into disrepair while food is being prepared for starving individuals or what not (ok, people never starve in MD, there aren't enough people to have a food shortage). Maybe a better example. If I have to cut down the danged Oak Fort to barricade the children of LR (there's at least one kid right?) from attackers, I'd do it. I am sick of people sticking their necks out for inanimate objects, or even slightly animate ones. How about a alliance to take care of people? Anywho, that's why I suggested what I did. That's why I like Fenrir's idea. It's for people, all people. And yeah, upkeep of the temple and the grounds and taking care of things is definitely on the to do list, as having those places nice and neat is a benefit to the people, but my point is that it is not at the top. The invading armies can burn the land down around me for all I care, just don't touch my people! (Well, I would prefer they don't do either...)
6.
Ah!!! but that is the beauty of it they're the so called Caretakers, they named themselves, and took in charge And don't forget that there is a battle for power in this thread right now by "power hungry people" I'll even nominate Raven for High Chancellor Phantasm for Shadowmaster and Fenrir as War General hehe everybody is happy
Sad pants... what about me? I suppose I'll mention Leucretia as well. Also, could we maybe get a more consolidated list of applicants and their ideas? This is getting to be a long thread, I would hate to have missed someones idea. (Or for others to miss mine, sure, sure.)
7. There is no history, we know nothing of when Necrovion was created, or if it was created. Could have been there forever for all we know.
8. Nappy Hair Doo! Wait, that was not what I was going to say... Oh well, I'll remember later, or maybe it just wasn't that important.
9. Hmm, I had not even considered that. I myself prefer my eggs a little more sane though...
10. Aging crits on alts, or storing massive amounts of crits for trade on alts, is a clear offense (assuming the ones aging are going to be traded, clearly aramors and barren souls have no purpose to be aged). What you did with the TSs and Angiens was wrong, and if a few other accounts were caught in the mix then, too bad is what I say, it's the risk you took. HOWEVER If you read the thread by Fenrir, the removal of acceptance of alts, people pretty much all agreed that you can either be strong, or be moral. So it would seem that everyone else is doing it, and support it. Mur stated that it was a thin line, not illegal, but I do think it's a pretty clear spot on the wrong side of the line. However, since Mur has said nothing since... Well, I guess with all the very OBVIOUS abuse from others (Granos mentioned RPCs, and I think a lot of people are aware of who...) and the lack of any further input it COULD be misunderstood that it was not a direct offense. My biggest issue in all of this is that it just seems hypocritical. I feel that there are more obvious abusers out there, that there are people who practically brag about their abuse that aren't being punished. I see no reason why Lifeline should be punished while others are still clearly abusing. Unless of course for some reason these others are allowed to abuse.
11. Necrovion is a hunk of dirt, covered in something or other. Necrovion is not a reflection of the land, never has been, never will be. One could claim that the shades are, but who the heck cares about them? I have heard way to much BS about shades. I would love some actual facts on the critters, but I don't really have any. I have been told that shades bring balance, they aren't a reflection, but an opposition. Everyone in the realm is lazy and peaceful right now, there are no other warmongering alliances. It would make sense that in a time of peace Necro would try to bring about war. Of course, the Sentinels are not shades, and they are not necro, so regardless of what shades would or wouldn't do, and regadless of whether people think Necro should be thrown into a giant blast furnace to turn it into a mirror this says nothing about the Sentinels. Sure, it is kinda sad to see Khalazdad's idea come to an end, but the dynasty has ended. Jester is of no relation.
12. You haven't had perma balance for eight months? That's longer than I have been in the game. I have heard many people mention their being perma balanced throughout the game. Jester, Pamplemousse, so and so.
13. Just about everyone and there mother is in an alliance Burns. If you really want this to work you would need to get rid of perma balance, or vets would not have to lose a battle to maintain balance. Personally I say screw the heck out of honor. Completely get rid of honor. When you attack someone you get wins, exp and loyalty I suppose. (Though the loyalty system is screwy too.) People walking around who give you more than -100 honor are normally WAY stronger than you. Honor is supposed to be a reward from beating stronger opponents, so why is it that someone like Lifeline should be getting hundreds of bonus exp and 400 honor off of me? The honor system doesn't do what it's supposed to, trash it. Then who cares, fight whenever, everybody fight everybody. No stat damage, no hiding, no worries about win/loss (unless you want to be balanced, which you would). Really, deleting a broken system brings everybody back, and it shouldn't take THAT much coding to do.
14. Oh heck, if breakfest is on the menu man, we have to go for the omelet. Omelet for president! Or at least something with eggs.
15. Couldn't the alliance work AGAINST Granos'? I think that'd be rather interesting personally. I would enjoy seeing two alliances in the same land working against each other. Hey, wait, that fits my idea. Strange how I seem to keep doing that. Anywho, what do you guys think? Would the two alliances have to worrk toward a similar end? Or at least not opposing each other? Or do yall think it's ok to have to groups in the same land actively working against each other.
16. I am confused, maybe slightly. Who is it we think ought to be in charge of this? Those who applied are not experienced enough, Raven has too much. So, uh, who are we pulling for? Frankly, I couldn't care less about the WHO in charge, and am more interested in the idea, though I suppose who does matter to a degree.
17. Fenrir: And those who were forced into the role or fellupon it were the best. So should Mur just give it to some person who isn't applying? *looks slanty eyed* I remove my application. Jut kidding, but seriously, I don't see your point, after all, you are attempting to get this leadership position, clearly everyone posting here trying to get this leadership position is ALSO trying to get this leadership position. (Redundant, but...) So is this quote not backing Pipstickz statement that no one here is fit*? Edit: (*For the position.)
18. Don't get me wrong, I agree, fighting RP should involve the fighting system, but at the same time it should not be based ENTIRELY on the fighting system. Just cause a person has a regen of 600 should they be invincible? I'm not against the whole, I just stomped your critters, now I stomp you in RP, but some of it is a bit iffy. I would not respect someone who knowingly wanders through a door I am sitting against, protecting passage through it, without first moving me in some way. (Assuming they are RPing, if they just need to get to the next scene to get on with whatever, no huge deal, but if I am protecting a doorway because someone is behind it that I was attempting to protect, they just walk though and kill everyone...)
19. As far as RP goes, I have done a we (is there a different we there? Pretty sure wii is not right) bit. I guess I am unwilling to speak of my own RP though, if anyone else has an opinion on it, I'll let them state it. However, I will say that Phantasm did win that last paper shaper contest, so he certainly has skill with words, and presumably some creativity. Along with that, I suppose I could state that I myself didn't do poorly on the creative end of things either.
20. But isn't the backstabbing and conspiring what makes leading so much fun? Also, I will say this. I do not have experience being in an alliance, I do not have experience leading an alliance, and frankly, I think that's a good thing, at least as far as my suggestion goes. Being in an alliance is just cause for more bias, I have purposefully not taken to an alliance because it does not fit my role. I am not scrambling for some alliance, I am waiting patiently for one to be made that I could join, or I will simply stay alliance less forever. (Though I suppose something like the advertisers I have no role worthy cause to not join, of course I suck with computers and people, so but, I digress.) The alliance I have suggested will not have the structure of any other alliance, and as such having been part of one in the past will not be helpful. Anywho, past that, what sort of experience does a fellow need? Seems to me that everyone who has applied has had a fair bit of experience with MD, especially in what they suggested.
21. Because there is no cause to make something difficult for the sake of difficulty, and reasonably speaking, a fellow ought to know what direction he came in. As for the Lab, there is no good way to get through there without a map, or having gone through a lot. Sometimes you can figure out where you came from, other times you HAVE to back step to not get lost. That having been said, it's really not worth the time to code it.
22. If something like this were perhaps offered in the MD store with 1 credit for two slots it may serve a purpose. Obviously you don't want to store any critter you plan on using, so this would just be a place for collectors to store all those useless critters they have. Otherwise, just another useless feature between me and the gold coin.
23. For some reason I feel that Lifeline was not the only one two store massive amounts of TSs on alts... Is there something more to this? Or was it explicitly stated that that is exactly why, storing these TSs, was the cause for the ban?
24. The bridge to the GoC seems pretty DARN narrow to me, but it might just be a lack of scale. Most rope bridges are after all, and it looks tiny by comparison. And go ahead, kill my 6 best critters, they will be DED not dead. Why? Cause either I am not using influence (tokens I guess) and there for have the majority of my Ve (if I was serious about this fight and came prepared). Or, I am using 100%, and they're back. And if I have a combo rit to use then... They are more than back. Also, there are plenty of people in this realm that can fight with a total Ve in a ritual of 301 Ve (Or less if lucky I guess, or their critters are limited) and still slaughter well over 50% of the inhabitants. For example, if you were trying to defend Chewett (sorry to pick on you, can't think of a weaker MP5 off the top of my head) and you killed ALL my critters in the ritual, and somehow took all my Ve without any of the critters coming back, I could still beat him. Also, I can't attack MP3s or 4s.
