  2. There is no time wasted when you yourself experienced it first hand and enjoyed every bit of it, there are ups and downs in life in which lessons are learned, we may have chosen the wrong path but as soon as we realized that it is not the one that we wanted, we tend to correct it in some ways. Starting over won't solve a thing about you, Change, and I see your reasons being very shallow. I understand that you want everything to fall into place just as you're expecting them to be, but how is it going to happen if you know deep inside that you are going to make mistakes in your choices and decisions in whatever you do in the future? It will happen over and over again, and you need to accept that. You have made your choices, you stick to them. When you were a kid and you tripped over a stupid rock and had wounds, did you ask God to press the reset button of your life? When you had that bad relationship, did you give up and killed yourself? Ofcourse not, you accepted it and hoped for the best in the future. The same thing happens in every aspect of life, a wrong decision and mistakes is part of it, you need not to worry because everything will fall into place just as you are expecting them to be, given that you do not give up and just be yourself. Continue to grow, revel in your achievements no matter how small they are, use your experience and choices to better yourself and that is when true Change will be unearthed. Now back to MD perspective. I myself have done this many times and all of the attempts were done in such a bad way, the reason being is to try and create a character to experience another phase of existence. I have tried to create alts after alts to express the different sides of me, but I arrived at one character and stuck to it; Lazarus. I haven't done anything in the past 5 years until I realized my character's true calling; not to annoy people, but to achieve something significant in the realm in which my people shall benefit. I tried comparing myself to others and it did nothing good for me, it made me jealous and envious about other people's achievements as well, so I Changed that, I tried to focus on my character and slowly, all the negative feelings faded. If the only reason of your existence in MD is to be on AL, perfectly chosen principles, name Change and AD's then you are thinking short, you should find a greater purpose that will fit you. Remember, you gave a piece, or your whole self in MD and you should use it in a honest and positive way that can make a difference for both the realm and yourself. Discover, make an expedition on your self, rise, and live. This is the Change that you should be looking for, not the change that people expect from you.

  4. Happy birthday you bone collector guy! :) [Edit: accidentally hit post before I finished typing lol]
  5. Rest in peace Cutler, I remember sharing architectural deas with you during the conception of your Astral Plane and conversing every now and then. You are a great puzzle maker, a good friend, and most definitely a good person. May you rest in peace.
  6. 1. He was caught alone 2. Experimenting stuff 3. Did it for this quest 4. He lost his mind to the point where he could hurt people 5. He's getting old and deserves to die 6. The killer did it accidentally 7. To see who still gives a damn about MD 8. To frame someone 9. Because "Mur" is the first 3 letters of "Murder" 10. The killer ran out of tomatoes for his salad
  7. Try not to bring up issues that is unlikely to happen 95% in this contest, it is already stated and resolved by the quest-maker herself and we will very much appreciate it if you just use your common sense instead of finding a hole in each and everyone's messages to forcefully inject your critiques Rophs. I do hope this reaches the number required by Mur so that more people will be rewarded for their efforts.
  8. Skills: Versatility in different styles, techniques and types of every artworks, designs, visuals and the overall feeling or atmosphere of a subject giving an impression that would fit what one originally have in mind. Creativity in writing and ideologies. Ability to create non-canonical and unoriginal stories that links into the original story. Versatility in presentation of a subject. Interests in MD: Necrovion in general, Adventure Logs, research, metaphysics, artworks and the general grand design. What I like to work on: Adventure Logs, realm expansion through scenes, artworks.
  9. Gold. Lots of it. The King under the mountain deserves wealth.
  10. I will shift my attention to this statement: What I would to is I will focus more on the newcomers to have them feel the uniqueness of the game itself, like we did during the golden era of MD where there are actually players who exchange battles and roleplays, interact with each other and create activities for the realm. This is what a newcomer would be interested in and nothing else, given the uniqueness of the game (i.e. balanced battles, creatures, artworks) they will thrive to seek more experience as they continue to explore the realm, everything else to me is just secondary. There are new people who join MD but never last two weeks, and if they do, what they're doing is they are trying to see if their impressions and expectations for the game is true and if it's worth their time, but it won't be in their eyes because the realm is almost abandoned. Like Rikstar suggested, having some automated NPC's would be nice to have (Willow's Shop Guards, LR Guards, Dark Slime etc.). I would also focus mine and my "crew's" energy, time and budget for advertisements and marketing, maybe some additional scenes just for the sake of exploration and discovery, also having more interactive permanent puzzles and quests. Having them occupied will increase the chance of them staying until they discover the message MD is trying to morse-code into their minds, and that is the metaphysical and logical aspects of the realm, which I believe the reason most of you stayed (if not just "hoping" things would go back the way they were). Right after everything above is taken care of, I would hire J.K. Rowling to fix the Pulitzer Prize-winning grammars and typographical perfections scattered throughout MD's literary works, because it is a major turn-off, though I understand English is not the primary language for most (that includes me), it is a big deal for most people. I've read the reviews from non-players outside MD and it was cringe worthy. Viscosity decrease based on Activity Days is one thing I would do as well, I don't know how in the world Mur came up with this, then creating another called "Volition" to counter it. I will appoint 5-7 active LHO's in different timezones to help the poor newbies so that they don't get ignored atleast for 30 mins to an hour, not just to help them, but also guide them as they continue their way. I will also ban the word "soon" as it is synonymous with the words "after 5 years." Anybody who omit that word will be jailed for over a year with no food and water, no healthcare as well and will be forced to pick up soaps. Ofcourse, I am joking with this one. Lastly and the most important one, which will be beyond my control even if I have enough money and influence to buy your ego, is your attitude towards someone / something you dislike (see attached). Attitude is everything, be it in MD or RL, no matter how good or talented you are, no matter how much achievements you reached, if your attitude is unacceptable, people will quit on you and something that you represent. Seeing MD as a business and a place to share valuable thoughts, it would hurt the game and therefore, is intolerable. Not pointing fingers.
  11. There's a reason for the prize, it's not for showing off or anything and I know this is going to be difficult if not impossible, hence the title. I could not solve this, so I made a research a long time ago on how to solve the middle part: If this can be done, and the pen/pencil ends up on one of the corner then problem is solved. But this doesn't have any solution, so I think adding extra lines or portions to the sides has a reason and could be used to help solve this puzzle. A friend of mine did it years ago and honestly I couldn't remember how he did it, if this really is an impossible task then he may very well did use some kind of a trick. But I still believe this is doable. Since you all suggest that this can't be done, then provide me an original and creative solution, if trickery is to be used then you can, just not the ones you see on the internet. The puzzle should be complete without any missing lines, the winner will be the one who can figure it out and show me exactly how it's done, if not, then at least the most plausible / creative solution, but the prize will change because that's not exactly what I'm looking for. I will extend this challenge until the end of August as I see most of the people here are still active.
  12. From what I heard there is a solution for this and I know it can be done, and I need the solution for it, just for personal amusement. If you don't want to participate then just put a duct tape over your nasty mouth. This is just to see how far a player can go to solve it. Anybody can try it, I will award the closest solution with 4 Gold Coins if this really is impossible.
  13. It has been more that 10 years to me, since this symbol was introduced to me when I was 13 years old, and quite frankly, I couldn't solve it. A friend of mine showed me exactly how its done, but unfortunately it was lost deep within my subconscious mind. There is indeed a legit way to solve this puzzle and I know it can be done without any trickery. I invite YOU ALL to try it out, and when you succeed in solving this puzzle, I will reward you with a prize that surpasses any reward ever given in this entire realm. Draw this symbol: Rules: - Draw without lifting pen/pencil - Draw without going over the same line - Draw without folding the paper or any other kind of stupid trickery I hold the right to reject your solution as I see fit. The most plausible solution, for me, will be rewarded with all four (4) prizes: - Tainted Angien - Shade - Sword Shade - 10 Gold Coins Basically, just a continuous line without going over the same line and without lifting your pen/pencil. Absolutely no trickery or you will be disqualified from this challenge. Do not play with my wordings as well, as I know it has loopholes. Do what you know is the correct way of solving it. The solution should be presented step-by-step through a video clip, and should be sent via forum PM and ONLY via forum PM. If, however, there are more than ONE entry that has the same solution, I will consider the first entry as a winner. Deadline for submission of entries is at July 31st, 2014. Goodluck. [Edit] Removed my "bragging statement" so small-minded people won't assume things based on absolutely nothing.
  14. I think you should aim for the big picture instead of wasting your time helping these undecided souls. Most of them are guaranteed not to last in 2-3 weeks time, because MD is not for everybody who just play games such as Candy Crush saga or Flappy Bird. I'm not saying it's wrong, what you're suggesting is very helpful for the new players and to the community. My point is that this game is self-filtering and roughly only 1 in 100 people actually stay, and they are people just like you who saw something in MD that makes them want to stay long-term. This is where the law of large numbers comes into play, and the key is in advertisement, which is currently inactive I assume. I suggest you start from there and find people who are willing to help while doing what you've suggested.
  15. A few years ago, a mother and father decided they needed a break, so they wanted to head out for a night on the town. They called their most trusted babysitter. When the babysitter arrived, the two children were already fast asleep in bed. So the babysitter just got to sit around and make sure everything was okay with the children. Later that night, the babysitter got bored and went to watch TV, but she couldn’t watch it downstairs because they did not have cable downstairs (the parents didn’t want children watching too much garbage). So, she called them and asked them if she could watch cable in the parent’s room. Of course, the parents said it was ok, but the babysitter had one final request… she asked if she could cover up the angel statue outside the bedroom window with a blanket or cloth, at the very least close the blinds, because it made her nervous. The phone line was silent for a moment, and the father who was talking to the babysitter at the time said, “Take the children and get out of the house… we will call the police. We do not have an angel statue.” The police found all three of the house occupants dead within three minutes of the call. No angel staue was ever found.
