To write a name of character is the easy work, to mold it is quite another chapter. But as my rp skills need quite a lot of improvement, the character making is not so foreign to me even if I am not some expert in that area either. [font="Lucida Sans Unicode"]So, I was reading the forums in order to learn more about the world of MD and sudenly I came to realization that I have never said "Hi" to you all here. So, well, a bit late but from the heart regardless, here is my "Hello!" to the fine people in this community. But I would also like to use this oportunity to say few things to those that wonder/are interested in and so on, regarding my two characters Lady Dawn and Lady Dusk, in order to calm your spirits just a little bit. First let me assure you, that with Dawn and Dusk I am not trying to unbalance anything in the lovely world of MD. That is one of the reasons why there is not just Dawn but also Dusk. I have a fairly worked out concept of these two characters and that concept is in no way coliding with the concept of MD, its history, its inhabitants etc. It is independant one and has no more effect on the world that was created before I made them as if they would be named Lady Kylie and Lady Eilyk, if you understand my point. The concept of them both shall be explained sometime in the future when I will deem it right to be told. But both of them shall have its own story also (about their so-called previous life, out of the MD world), wich will explain why they act as they are. Nothing that they say or do is without a reason [i](rp-wise, that is)[/i]. So with a little bit of patience, I will explain everything regarding them. I am very grateful that Lady Dawn was welcomed as she was. But now there is also Lady Dusk, wich, at this time looks more like a random character acting "stupid". I have a plea for you: give her time. Take into account that you know almost nothing of her, yet. She "droped" into this world with only one single objective in her mind: hunting down her sister and destroying her. But as much she hates her, she is also completly lost in this world, not knowing where to turn, who to trust as she knows that her sister (Dawn of course) came to MD sooner. Lady Dusk is at this time scared, confused and blinded by hate [i](there is a good reason for her hate also as you will be able to learn a bit later on her personal pages)[/i]. She walks the roads that she doesnt know, she find herself in a world that she, at this point, dont understand. She feels that she "landed" in enemy territory where the rules of other world [i](from wich she came)[/i]apply. So her acting may appear random, hostile and so on. But that is not how I plan her to stay. She is in her metamorfosis stage, so to speak, and even if it doesnt seem so, she learns a bit more of the world with each passing day. In order to change, to grow, she must learn. I understand if you find this to be odd way of doing it, but please do keep an open mind for a while and let her to complete her transformation into what I plann her to be. I would welcome this as I find it a great idea. I do have some html knowledge but at same time the last time I did anything on that part is somewhere in the past and I dont even remeber half of it. I simply dont have time to venture into html again (even if it seems that I do,but I do other things alongside being "loged in") so help on that departement would be quite welcome.

When you wake up and realize that you were dreaming about playing MD, for example. It is scary. And when you get ask by someone else where is the maple and you just shoot out the directions without thinking.

I am not the gouard of Bob... obviously... To be honest, it was today that I learned, that Bob has guardians... but I do like Bob. I feel that there is special connection between us as I get a feeling that Bob understands me without judgement and I can hear the whispers from him. I ususaly always stop by Bob when I am on my way to feed my fried mouse, living down by the mill. I know that Bob wants to feel the gentle sprinkle of rain and I wish to him that soon the wish he has would come true and I usualy casses his bark in hope that some warmth would pass to him... Anyhow, I like Bob...

I realy like the sugestions Burns has come with. And of course, it would be logical that the cost for sending a message using "post office" function should be payed by the one that sends the message not by the one that receives it.

I gave you 2. The reason behind it is because I am firm believer that nothing in the world is perfect (may it be game world or the world we dont have choice but to live in) besides where is perfection there is no space for improvements... (not to mention, perfection can be boring, I believe). The other reasons are, as it was already mentioned some instructions could be a bit clearer BUT I also have to say that I was very glad to see your respond and clearing "Spikes" one up a bit for me yet just enaugh for me to comprehend what it demands of me (so that is a definitive + ). The main backdraw to it would be that for those who werent around when you puted it up there is no actual reward (besides solving it and feeling a bit smarter about yourself wich is reward by itself ) but I am also aware that you can not change that or at least I think you cant... (maybe you should talk with Mur and ask him if he could sort thing out same way as the wp that is rewarded for the broken gazhebo thing? just a thought ). Allas, I didnt solved all of them yet... wich is obvious and it will probably take some time to do so, since I am aware that I am not the smartest person on the world. I am very pleased to see tho, that we can still play with it and is not closed persay since I am enjoying it and would love to see more of that sort of the puzzles around to test my "brain-capacity" at or simply stimulate my thinking process for a bit (since I believe that if one doesnt uses it frequently they tend to be lazy, haha ). So.. yes, that would be all that I have to say... I think... Did I mentioned that I like them very much?

Since I did mention the creation of special post ofice in that previous thread I demed it correct to suport this idea in here also. 1 silver for paying would be way to much and basicaly only new players would realy badly need a post office, so ap (maybe with combination of ve and vp) could be enaugh. A postman for "big guys"? It might be, but new players or those who are not the "big guys" need this one. A spell called localate? Is that a wp shop spell or something you get when you start playing? I for one dont know and I am very sure that none of those who starts to play this game has no idea about it. This "function" could very well also be used only for mp3 that are seting the first steps into the game or maybe also for mp4. The friendlist is handy, yes, but the space there is limited and you first need to aquire one so again. As second, friends list is for friends but sometimes you need to send a message to the one that you dont hold in such high reguard that you would want that person in your friends list... Besides of that, a "building" as that would actualy made the world more real. Anyhow, I wish to have a post office and I wished so as I first step in this world. Thank you.

The sort of chat that I think you are refering to... would take away a lot from the game. There is a certain charm, that you need to meet and chat and it is interesting when you are bored and you trvel true the land and you suddenly spot two persons chating or rping. The "Global" (for the lack of better name) would take all that away, and everybody would talk over another one, making it hard to follow. It could also produce lag for those whos internet connection is not superb. But what it would probably be good to add is a function where you could actualy msg person even if its not on your friends list or you dont have its msg saved or stands besides you. Maybe the Post Office at special place would be for that in order to maybe prevent spamming... Like you need to get to that place to send such mesage but it would also cost you a nice amount of AP... perhaps...

I would say "a little about everything". Now, how much that "little" actualy is, it waries meaning it can be more than just some basicss... And upon that, know a lot or "everything" (realising you can never ever know everything) about the area you are working in. That way you can excel on your field since it is your expertise and at same time can stand a chance when conforted with other topics. Edit: Stupid typos... and I bet there are more, I just dont see them.

Hi! Let me add my bucket of thoughts here... Yes, I believe there should be WP reward for days. If someone plays the game for a year or more that shows dedication, delibration and persistance and those things should be rewarded. As for the years... well, what about 1 year is 1wp, 2 years is 2 wp, 3 is 3wp and so on? Just a thought... As for alts... Well, considering the fact that trading between alts is not allowed I would say that alts should be rewarded also but at same time it should be somehow made so that alts cant trade them between them at all and period. I will not pretend that I know how much work would such feature demand, because I dont know. The problem that I see if "so called alts" (since not all chars from same IPs are actualy alts) would not receive them is following: What about all those people that play from same computer? If so would be decided then only one person would be rewarded, probably the one that plays a bit more and I dont see how that would be fair for the other one. Not every family can aford two or three computers so they play from one. And as a second note... If someone has alt or two or maybe even more and if those alts are all active (not just as a log in for days, but as actual playing them) then that person that has them also would deserve a "little" reward on those chars, dont you think? Anyhow, thats my two cents...

I was actualy surprised and confused when I have seen the announcement but not because of the restrictions but because it was previously clear to me that "trading" betwen chars that are played from same IP (regardless if it is an alt or actualy another person playing) is not allowed. It is actualy sad that people cant be trusted to not abuse things... Anyhow, I for one, am happy to see that it became harder now for those that do those things, so way to go Mr. Mur!

My character in game is still in early developtement stage meaning, I dont have a clear image about it yet as how I want it to be. But I find that a fun part because it gives me all the freedom of creating and it will be interesting to see how this character will, well, for lack of better word, grow. I do have some faint idea of what will all be about, hence the name of Lady Dawn. I dont want to put to much of my rl into her but that is mainly because there are things in my rl that I want to put aside for at least few moment in order to not loose my mind but at same time I am fairly convinced that all rl cant be blocked from entering, may it be consious or unconsious... The Lady Dawn character wont be build upon who or what I realy am but will most definetly reflect certain aspects of being me and in a way, people who will get to know her will actualy get to know me, maybe even better as if they would know me if they would meet actual me in rl. It is most posible that at the end (even if there will be no end) she will become integrated into me as much as I into her. Do I make any sense at all? In any case, I love to rp so I will probably be leaving lots of "temporar" imprints over the land may it be story-driven or just me walking around and noticing diferent things it may be funny sometimes or sad, it depends and will depend on my mood. Also, the "backup" story of my character will grow as she will grow and some things that will be written shall change if she changes, alas, for now she is still just a fogy outline on the canvas but that will become different with time.
