Primordial Pets: Impossible Pet Edition

Featured Replies

Mur asked for the community to come up with ideas for the new Primordial Pet feature, so let's see what everyone can come up with.

The main goal here is to experiment and help test the system. We have a new mechanic to play around with, so let's see what it can actually do and what kinds of combinations we can discover.

The idea is pretty open. You can use any creature, at any stage, and then decide what you want to feed the Primordial Pet to influence what comes out.

For your combination, list:

  • Creatures: Any four creatures you want to use

  • Creature stage: What stage each creature should be

  • What you feed it: Other creatures, ANY item, heat, or anything else you think could have an effect

  • Result: What do you think the Primordial Pet should become?

Don't worry too much about balance or whether an idea sounds strange. This is about experimenting. Try combinations that make sense, combinations that don't, and things that you think might produce interesting results.

The more people experiment, the more we can learn about how the system works and what is possible.

And don't forget to upvote/downvote the combinations you like. Mur might end up picking one of yours to actually use.

Let's break the system and see what happens.

  • Creatures: Any four creatures you want to use

    • Standard Angien - Max Stage

    • Tainted Angien - Max Stage

    • Sunless Apparition - Max Stage

    • Unnumbered Apparition - Max Stage

  • Creature stage: What stage each creature should be

    • All max

  • What you feed it: Other creatures, ANY item, heat, or anything else you think could have an effect

    • Equal measures Reality Shards and Heat. Fed as soon as possible, to keep it well fed.

    • It is initially created with the item - Ledah's Staring Frame, Condensed. Description below:

    Description

    1. A palm-and-a-half hand-mirror. Its frame is cast from processed rare-metal ore into the exact filigree of a finely-rendered drawing — every leaf and hair-line line reproduced in warm dark metal. Behind a thin pane sits no true glass but a plate of Imprinted Dark held still, its swirling darkness folded flat and set to face outward, so that anything standing before it finds the blur inside turning to meet it. The back is a small square of stained cloth cut from the lining of a spent Bubble-Box, glued down with a smear of dried demon's blood, and signed across the cloth in fading ink: Ledah, in his own hand. The whole piece hums, faintly warm to the palm, and the darkness within is unmistakably watching back.

  • Result: What do you think the Primordial Pet should become?

    • An Angien that is as rooted in reality, such that it could be a player, not merely an aspect of one. Balanced in a sense with heat it was fed and the Liquid Dust the Apparations produce - a nominally balanced being, a master of mirrors.

Creatures

  • 1 Tainted Angien

  • 1 Wind Dragon

  • 1 Dream Joker

  • 1 Tutorial Shade

Level

  • All Max

Ingredients

  • 7 Fenths

  • 7 Reality Shards

  • 7 Wiiya

  • 7 Death Spore

  • 7 Fermented Marigold Nectar

  • 7 Timeless Dust

  • 7 Stone Tablet

Result -

  • A Timeless snapshot of Greed. A Dragon of mythology, one that both spawns and hoards only the rarest of creatures. The scales are tipped in her favor, she can only make the rarest of Echoes... But all are SoulBound to the Dragons Partner.

    • Knator - Max Stage

    • Imperial Armour - 1st Stage

    • Mutated Drach - Max Stage

    • Unnumbered Apparition - Max Stage

What you feed it: Other creatures, ANY item, heat, or anything else you think could have an effect

    • 1 Kill item - doesnt matter what weapon, it needs to be able to kill people

    • feed it candy, chocolate, cake and heat on repeat.

  • Result:

A One handed, one weaponarmed, sugar addicted demon child from hell. Hopefully it can fly lol

  • Creatures

earth: Cloaked shade

water: Cloaked shade

air: Cloaked shade

fire: Cloaked shade

  • Creature stage

The one with this description (I think it's the first stage):

Unlike most shades, this one appears to be hiding its form. A loose fitting cloak is draped over it, and while it appears to have upper limbs, its shape is more mutable than one would assume.

  • What you feed it:

A small white cube:

A small translucent cube taken from the night itself. Its use is unknown but its value is defenetly priceless.

  • Result:

A paradox: a Shade given form by the cube. Perhaps something like the rotating white sphere from the Traveler Adventure Log story.

juat wanted to mention this in case its unclear, you dont have to own those items, but they need to exist. you will not consume anything, i will clone needed items and consume them myself for this experiment
