Baring in mind that Eon paid 50gc for his, so a reasonable price would not be 5sc or such, as that would equate to 150 uses before he started making profit off it. Feel free to message me (anyone) regarding that, rather than derail the topic here. I should note I won't necessarily adopt said prices, but I'd be interested in what the general opinion is. As far as I am aware the bulk adopts the lowest/highest ID of the group. On that premise; If I had 10 flowers, submit it, and gain another flower with a lower/higher id, thus changing the id of the bulk, and submit again, would it show that I have submitted 21? When I've only done 11?

Few questions; 1 - What happens when someone takes the fruit? As in someone who doesn't care to revive people. I could probably name 5 or so people that would be thus inclined, and that'd be plenty. 2 - If Fyrd goes inactive, without passing on his item, the whole system collapses? 3 - What effort, after the initial planting, and besides asking Fyrd to pickle, does the player put in? For me the items that people have should be the easy option, and the alternative should be difficult - I worked hard to get mine, and Eon paid a lot to get his, any publicly available option should not make our tools worthless. I would like to clarify that my comment isn't out of greed, there definitely should be some sort of public option that doesn't cost so much.

4*15sc = 60sc 6*10sc = 60sc 10*6sc = 60sc 15*4sc = 60sc It's about finding the balance. If you charge 'too much' not many will compete. If you charge 'too little'/nothing you won't get as much. You can charge less and still make the same, because it's then open to players who can't afford a higher price.

I wasn't commenting about Eon also competing, that's a whole other thing - each side of that argument seem to be arguing completely different things, but meh. I mean, is there no way to increase motivation? Someone said if it was cheaper they'd participate - is having gold/silver available a requirement of being a good/strategic fighter? What he did (and what you describe he did) was make and maintain the rules, and I think he did a fairly good job. Could've been clearer in the rules (based on the replies to the start thread), but the rules were there and he kept to them, as well as making sure everyone else did as well. But I didn't see him do anything to motivate or encourage participation or activity (not that I was in it) - granted I have no idea what tools he might have to do that, but I figure there might be something, or someway to do such with what he has? People seem to have covered the email/first post itself though, so I don't think I will further

Cool downs on revival items are different to the kill items. And to each other, actually. Intentionally not specifying what they are.

Heat cannot (/should not) be indefinitely retained which is what would happen with a spell in the way you describe - it would be retained in the form of the spell, but retained it cannot be. Heat would need to be stored, with the heat reducing and the spell cast upon a player's entrance to a scene - or at least that would work with my current understanding of it.

Heat is needed to cast spells, where is the heat? There were thoughts to have spells in clickables, which would be activated upon opening or whatever which never resolved yet, but that wouldn't really result in what you're looking for. Fun idea though.

There are no exceptions regarding transferring 'things' (crits, items, whatever) to accounts also played by yourself.

A will (in the way you say) would be alt abuse, presuming jr would also be him - don't think Spar would try this, but just clarifying for Tom.

When you start the game, you should not (and indeed this is the case currently) be affiliated to any land. You are of No Homeland. Being affiliated with any land, including No Man's Land, would have to be, and definitely should be, a decision of the player, rather than automatically when you start. But yeah, that "typo"/bug should be fixed.

Up to you whether you want to use them, but similar things are used in other books - a short line of pretty much any non-alphanumerical would work I think, or actually an enlarged gap between the paragraphs might also, if you normally use a single line gap between them, maybe space 5 down before continuing? With the use of Mur, it is a complete other thing for everyone to know the name Mur etc, and quite another to write a book involving the name. As I previously mentioned, there is power in names, and they shouldn't be adopted into use in stories without the permission of their owners - I'm not saying you would (at least, not intentionally), but authors have previously misused peoples names and created a negative, and often plain wrong, image of the person. The simplest thing would be to first ask him whether he minds it as it is, if he doesn't then no harm done and continue as you are, but if he does then you would need to replace of remove somehow - have the patrons drinking something else, and praising 'the order' or some such. I don't know that it needs to actually be a character. What Finch said about asking each of the characters involved to write a description of themselves, at the same time as asking permission to use them, might be helpful with your descriptions as well, you'd be working closer with 'reality' (of MD) than acting upon your own imagination of them, which from a couple comments here seem to be fairly on the mark, but it may be better to get that description from them all the same.

[/quote] Achievements are not meant to be easy to achieve, if they were, they may as well just be handed out to people. Sometimes takes a bit of time to become LHO, but it's achievable if you make the effort, like others have said. More achievements, yes, but they shouldn't be easy like you seem to want
