How do I use items from the roleplay items shop section?
Muratus del Mur replied to Ungod's question in How do I...
Other RP items can be combined into other usable items, or collected, or help you whenever a role related decision is pending. For example if you wish to build yourself a pub, getting related items that could be used in a pub, makes the big difference compared to someone that just sais he has a pub somewhere, and you will receive official support in roles and events you can organize. Items are a warmup for this things you wish to achieve in this realm. -
I couldn't find a complete set of my armor
Muratus del Mur replied to Poppi Chullo's question in How do I...
some items of a set are hidden in secret shops -
While there are 'ways' to get your custom item done, aim for using existing items. Custom items are given to made, and to receive one, your role must fit the request, and you should already be able to use other exsiting items for same purpose. Don't get me wrong, i am creating custom items constantly, and some (not all) A25 members have this ability and use it too, just that the reasons why such an item gets created must not be simply your request. To create a custom item, i need to see and understand its purpose, and most of all i need to decide that working on a custom item is worth more than doing any other coding in the realm that could benefit others. Under certain circumstances, you can ease this process and have a higher chance. The "ingredients" that could make me create a custom item easier are (ALL OF THE BELOW MUST HAPPEN): - If the item description of existing items you have allows for such a thing. For example you have a bottle, and alcohol, and chairs, i could make you a portable bar stand (just a random example). - you know exactly what is possible to do with existing item abilities, and try to fit your item in one of these. Obviously if i need to code more i will avoid it, so if you ask for something that is not possible yet, is more unlikely to happen than if you ask for a functionality that is already coded. - you built a role that obviously had something to do with whatever the item is about. I am not creating custom items for new roles. - you are willing to spend all your wishpoints for it (cost in wishpoints, variable, was for a while a method to do custom items, and i am still willing to consider it) - the custom item you create must not create unbalance in the realm or hurt others. The more it affects only you, the higher the chance to ever get it. Basically you can't, deal with it... but sometimes you will, read above.

Try to understand what parts of your MD activity you no longer enjoy to do but you are still doing, and start by changing that. Set yourself only fixed hours and time intervals you wish to be around, and whatever happens simply don't come here outside those intervals. If you wish to quit entirely, close up lose ends, decide what people you still want to be in contact with and keep a different communication channel with them (like facebook, discord, email). I knew many people that at some point decided to leave, but a year or two later decided they want to return, so my advice is to GRACEFULLY leave and don't do a mess behind you.

The trigger box is also used to open certain items and tools. Many spells that have a longer term effect will also show in the triggers box. The triggers box is a useful way to notice other peoples activity

What is a clicky and how do I create my own clickies?
Muratus del Mur replied to Kaya's question in How do I...
A clicky is something in the scene (inside the drawing) that you can click to do something, like navigation arrows, objects, etc. They can be created only with the A25 powers by A25 members, but a category of clickies can be coded by anyone that obtains this ability in the Wishshop. Scripting such a clicky, means you can add a "MD script" to it, that does something when that clicky is clicked. You can create quests by scripting clickies that can be scripted with this abiltiy, or just leave notes allover the place, notes others will see. There are ways to add other clickies only A25 members can add, and this can be done if you provide the right image (original drawing that is sized and exported in the right way for this), and have a very good reason, a reason that will convince any A25 member to add it for you. I encourage expansion of the realm by regular players, but this process needs to pass through existing people with such rights, to avoid chaos, abuse, or simply avoid concepts that do not fit with this realm. If you are interested more in this aspect of MD, you can request access to the A25 docs, and this will help you understand what are the current possibilities of a clicky, how it can be used and what it could do, and with such info you can provide A25 memebers with exact requests that could be analyzed easier and have a much higher chance of being implemented. On the other hand, clickables that can be scripted with the MD script feature, can have any sort of script you manage to code in there, as long as its not designed for abuse. -
Dream mode is one custom ability coded for a specific role at some point (Morpheus). It then became part of the realm. Without a dream master, people in MD can't 'dream', but in this world, dreaming is not what you might hope it is. I could say dreams are more of nightmares , where the dreamcatcher holds you captive in a dream until you solve his quest or riddle. While in a dream, the dreamcatcher has full power over your existence, so you should listen to what he has to say, or suffer unimaginable consequences (mostly unfun). From time to time I code custom stuff for random people that deserve such a feature. Once coded, the feature remains in the realm, and if its a powerful feature such as this one, it can become a public role when the initial owner fades away becoming highly inactive. At the time i am writing this, I don't know what happened to this role, and who currently holds it. It might be out there, i don't know. I know that the interface still exists for it.

What are wishpoints and how do I get/use one?
Muratus del Mur replied to redneck's question in How do I...
From time to time, events can get you a large number of wishpoints too. Wishpoints are hard to get and a very valuable reward, but it is kept scarce intentionally. On public (or sometimes private) events, organized by A25 members or myself and Chewett, wishpoints can be given out in large amounts, to compansate for this scarcity and motivate MD to move in a certain direction. For example, starting this forum category called "How do I..." was done by awarding wishpoints for existing players to write and answer questions, in this way, new or less experienced players can find their way easier. You also get wishpoints for activity, over time, by getting some achievements, or by solving permanent puzzles and quests. -
The SHMSH can be found on the mainland near the Aramory, go there and you will find what you need to know.

What are these Value Points I find everywhere?
Muratus del Mur replied to Fyrd Argentus's question in How do I...
In addition to Fyrds answer, an interesting info to know is that "Winertia" comes from "Worldy Inertia" ..now try to understand how that fits with money in the outer world. For veterans: There is a distinct possibility that at some point in MD evolution, winertia will also represent something you don't want to have. -
Two of the ways you could customize a creature is when you upgrade it, you can sometimes give it a custom name, and if you have creature shards of that species, you can get additional abilities on that creature. Other ways to enhance a creature are tokens, but since they are not selectable as exact options on a specific creature, i don't consider these as customizing, but just enhancing.

How do I permanently increase my max vital energy?
Muratus del Mur replied to Else's question in How do I...
Alsobounties can increase max ve on some occasions. Bounties are red gift boxes you may find in your interface sometimes -
for spending a lot of credits in the shop (200+) you get a top spender token, and thats what you can use in special auctions, not the credits directly. Otherwise credits can be spend in the shop or if you get credit codes, you can use them for rewarding other players or paying them for services (such as drawings, avatars, etc)
-
You don't Its one of the roles gained due to historic circumstances and events. Maybe in the future other occasions will arise and some of the current patrols will fade away... but if they fade away it is more likely the role will fade away with them. An other possibility would be that current death patrols leave their role as legacy to someone else, and i approve to that legacy (90% chance is that i wont)

and there is skilldamage that basically reverts your efforts of gaining more stats, or bad trades that are legal, or mentally deranged 'friends' that intoxicate your life, and s on.... its a jungle, run while you still can!!!!

How do I determine a player's fighting prowess?
Muratus del Mur replied to Ungod's question in How do I...
Being a good fighter is not just being able to win, but also learning how and when to lose. High stats and balanced profile (won fights=lost fights) could be an indicator of this. -
Except altars, there are several clickables and places that offer you this opportunity, The basket on the Gateway Island Mountain is one of these.
-
keys might also be implemented in A25 quests, in general the info you need most is the one you receive when obtaining such a key, because it will tell you what it is good for.

rpc is legacy, but its still a very functional mechanism and sometimes i use it on different accounts as needed. war status, was designed for land wars, but its also the mechanism behind being dead or alive. If you are dead, it changes this status, if you are revived it also checks this status. Either way, you can not custom or directly change or these.

How do I learn more about the history of MD and changes it went through?
Muratus del Mur replied to Ungod's question in How do I...
The forum is a sort of log of the entire activity, at least in the last 10-13 years or so. There are multiple ways of seeing MD history, depending what interests you. The adventure kind of story is the adventure log, that stopped at some point and only presents a select and adjusted scenario. The announcements is a 5000 pages long summary of what happend and when md-archives is a nicely put, but seldom updated archive of things you can find in MD In so many years of activity that spreads on parallel threads and topics, its impossible to have one single and simple line of history. It is like the history of the world, it depends on what exactly you are looking for to know. You can look at the history of global relations, or the history of a country, or the history of a single person, or the history and evolution of the tectonic plates. Asking older players can help you find more about a specific thing, but many times very old players become fossils and they only know what happened in their age, unaware of further developments. Myself, as creator and developer of this world, i can't tell such a story, i can just remember random events sometimes. -
I am looking forward to see more spoiler sort of answers here.

Rebellions are indeed a possibility, you should gather more people to support such an event before starting it.

First of all you need a forum account, then when you create a post, you have this option. (obviously)

How do I find the place where I can talk without restraint?
Muratus del Mur replied to Ungod's question in How do I...
Depending on the number of people present in a location, you can see "RP Reality requirement:" indicator, that can be strict, moderate or more permissive. The ideea is that if its just you and your listener in a place, things can derail quite a bit, but if there are more people in a place, you should consider the others are listening too.
