because, dear Guy, you underestimate how viciously creative we are when it comes to personal gain *mwahaha* it's not just creds which help you in one way or the other, it's mostly about knowledge, and a bit about creatures, if you want to fight a lot... if i could sell an avi for a cred, i could still get anything else for it ina ddition to the cred, that's the whole point of this topic... and you won't find a way to make sure it doesn't happen XD

and as Shadow already mentioned, you wouldn't live in a common sense if you exist out of time... compare it to Vampires, who are neither dead nor alive, they need blood ('fuel') to do fancy things, but mere existance doesn't consume any power for them, so if you 'lived' a life in which time wouldn't pass, your cells would stop dieing, too... i guess :lol:

yeah, really sad... maybe we should throw them into prison for longer terms... =P there is no real way to know alts from real players, and a whole lot of players have more than one 'playing' acc... maybe it should be put online just the way it is, without restrictions whatsoever, and if there are really people who make a profession of selling avis, they should be singled out manually... and, to make it less attractive, selling an avi to another player should cost 2-3 creds in MD-shop, like choosing a new one costs 1, so people don't do it just for fun with their alts... it should be a decision for almost ever to buy an avy, and not one to strike bargains, imo :/

don't you think that Mur jsut wants you to be more creative? there are a lot of ideas hanging in thin air all the time, and Mur can't adopt them all anyway... (I'm not saying that he adopts the best or most creativ, in fact, i'm living under the impression that he IS adopting those that suit him best, but i'll come back to that in a minute) Specially ideas of new players often fall through the grid because some people, and me defintely amongst those, discourage them to a certain point with a 'the simpsons already did it' sort of argument but neither such arguments nor Murs picking of stories and ideas are in place to make people sad or angry or discourage them, we do it (yeah, i dare to speak for Mur... shame on me, and correct me if you wish =P) to stimulate the idea-flow so people don't get stuck on what they have, but go ON and ON and ON with the same idea or with a new one, simple most important thing is to go ON with ideas instead of running in place or on known ways! so, when Mur decides that ancient lore is not a part of the game anymore and stories based on it are null, then he might have seen too many people using it and stopping to proceed, so he took a measure to kick their backsides and get them going again, just like he did with all Golemus-based stories by opening the land to everyone, all of those who were trying to research and stopped at the Gates are now given a chance to go further, or with festivals, which are designed not for gathering new RPCs, but for making people get better stories... obviously, you could go on forever, and include implementation of angiens, opening of inner necro, closing of loreroot, to use an older topic, too, etc.etc... he COULD defintely do all of those changes at once, and i'm almost sure that he has more creatures on his personal hd, more places to be discovered which are missing nothing but an arrow and a lot more, but then he would have no more means left to make people create new stories or improve their old ones to finish this and get back to work [already took way too long to write this post], it'd be a shame to see you leave just becasue you had a bad beat with your current ideas... about 99% of all players out there never get one of their ideas or stories implemented as far as you got with Amo and Kala

another option is dieing during a land war or torch contest, but this is unrelated to RP... that's rather a matter of 'wrong place, wrong time'

why? d'you think dojo is a place where it's safe to attack other people just because it's the dojo? seriously, if you think you have to attack people, then you'll have to live with the risk that comes along with it... and setting regens is a quite good way to keep the evil forces from screwing your balance on mp4... you shouldn't attack each other in dojo without consent anyway, huh? even if they allow it, it's still your risk when you do it without asking what you're facing... i used to allow people to attack my combat rit, and now i'm on the list of 'attack whenever' while having a 60k first strike defence up :lol: <update> then it's still your risk, dojo doesn't protect idlers, but neither does it protect actives from the strikes idlers could deal

What a nice read... i guess i'm entitled to sharing my opinion here as the topic is public and not closed, so here we go: 1. i think opinions against MD are fine even for an RPC, if they get too strong, they leave, and after all, this is not a childrens community where you get people to share your opinion by handing out cookies or using photoshop to make Mur have vampiric teeth and devil's horn... every one of us should be bright enough to have a own opinion and should be strong enough to stand up for it at any given point in time in a PUBLIC forum, where you face the problem of being stoned when your ideas are the wrong ideas, but have the opportunity to change something i style if there are enough voices to back you up. Mur is a God, yes, but he is a reasonable guy, and if you offer solutions which are good, he will consider them. However, this can not be done in privacy, becasue rebeling against a God is the most pointless thing you can do, which brings me straight to point 2. Peepz, NO to private ym conferences about the game and NO to RPC-chats and forums!! If you want to fight and bitch at each other about something, YOU, the RPCs, should of all players have the least troubles in doing so!! Mur is not killing people for voicing opinions, he is not even demoting RPCs for voicing opinions, as long as there are productive steps one can see in them. Mere bitching about is pointless and should therefore be discouraged, not by Mur, who is God and therefore in a position in which he can too easily help people who are acting the Martyr without even wanting that, but by the community, who is entitled to stay away from people they don't like for any reason at all, putting a social pressure on those who decide to bitch around... no matter how many such persons are hiding out there, they will give up sooner or later as having fun with others is better than staying in their tower and marking the emo all the time 3. LOL] and the forums for things that need wider public knowledge, this should be more than enough for all of us to say what needs to be said... It is not that hard... however, there are means to defend yourself against such things, and they are totally easy to set... you'd just need to read your logs sometimes

not anymore, no... they were useful back then when we were a lot weaker and had a war that was going for ages, but these days, the grinders have nice stats with regens close to / over 600, and the rest cares for their critters with dummy-defs LOL
