1. Aeo, the correct quote would be 'One persons freedom ends where another persons freedom begins', or a bit more concrete "The right to swing my fist ends where the other man's nose begins" (Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.), according to Wikiquote ;-) that's got nothing to do with fun, and we definitely don't interfere with your freedom of speech or 'freedom of playing' (even though that's not one of your rightful freedoms, as this is Mur's private product, but that's a different question), if you don't want to participate in politics, leave it to us and we won't even interfere with your fun^^ and well, allies are about politics, no matter if this game or another... and i never said you would be less important than the 'adults' because that's just not true!! PS: i would like you to come and throw pies on our politicians, they deserve it... and i'd like to see a kiddie getting a good beating on 8 Pm-news for insulting our politicians, too XD
2. you could try substituing the lol with a rofl or lmao, and if that works out, you could go on little by little... to real words like laughs or smiles again, and by then your brain should be ready to stop the loling once and for all and return to normal pace XD
3. @aeo: why do you think politics are no fun? do you think we RL-older players don't want some fun?^^ in time you will understand ;-) on-topic: Akasha, your nice little quote-list does not at all meet the point you want to make... at least i think so, but i haven't realized all of your points yet XD anyways, i think that after all that questioning we did here, things are transparent enough, and if one really cared for that matters you could even find out who voted in that elections... i think it was Pample who was doing the counting, right? so, all in all i think we can lay the disputes on how we call the lore-allies and how the forum should be used aside and have some kind of peaceful coexistance again, can't we? EDIT: [i hate peaceful coexistances, but better that than some more flaming with nobody but Loukas contributing to the topic, imo]
4. the privilege of the stronger^^ MRD and MR's F can afford to have a 'pick-and-choose' style of diplomacy, imagine it that way: MR's F are the US, Lorerootian-allies are... uhm... Switzerland, or maybe Italy... now, you can try and have a treaty [EU-treaty, if you wish to stick with the metaphor] amongst the LR-allies and try to become a stronger plolitical force in the realms, but when you break it down to force, the States still have a bunch of nuclear weapons [MRD, THO, Wander] and a few good friends with nuclear weapons who might come and help if they want to do so, while the EU has what? Luke and Amo? don't be offended, but after all you are not strong enough to 'pick-and-choose' whom you want to have a treaty with and whom not, while MRD can do so... at least in my opinion it works that way^^
5. if it's neither general xp-gaining from the dummies hanging out at GoE nor stat-gaining from the MR grounds, then all i can see left is rit-setting training... nice idea, a lot of newer players have no idea about the benefits of _really_ good rituals, and a specially designated training ground will draw some attention... for a while, and then it will die because newbie-help is at Dojo, and advanced help can't be provided without constant activity of advanced fighters... and those will get bored from hanging out at DQ in the long run LOL nonetheless, if you toss out some nice ideas about it, i would like to see that place in action once again instead of a lorerootian hideout XD
6. stormy... did you fail to grasp the creatures powers, or were they edited since you posted? that captivating Aura is great, it takes all the first round weakens and damages from archers, grasans, rusties and so on ad absurdum, no matter if it dies in second rounds strikes... it buys you one round!! and if you use it with high enough vit, it's stronger than maxed eles... imagine that thing, taking half the vit of a few overpowered grasans and chaos archies... 10k vit on a creature that takes all the hits, that thing would most probably survive the first rounda dn then go life-stealing... Burns likes, a lot another strategic creature, useless against things like stealers or single-hitters, deadly good on all-hitters... good idea^^
7. uhm... i might be wrong person to comment that, but from an insiders (though not highranked members) point of view, MRD and Yrth have been cooperating all along, but unlike the Root-super-ally, both GG and MR's F are free to make their very own diplomatic decisions, and MRD never felt it necessary to cooperate with any other Ally than GG... which might be due to the fact that Wodin was desinging a defence pact with Nelya, which was obsolete by the time MRD got his own ally implemented ;-) disclaimer: none of my words are the universal truth and i have not talked to any of my superiors before posting [and i don't intend to ask for permission anyway, for that matter...], so everything i wrote might as well be wrong [which i doubt...]
8. maybe you mean 2^32-1 (4.294.967.295)? that's kinda the common value for such codes... as far as i know, but MD is different ^^
9. too true, Loukas... sometimes i would really appreciate it if people who got wiped stay silent for at least a few minutes... anyways, i guess we have to differ between us two, the evil 'shoot first, then ask' kind of guys, and the brightlings who are 'defending the weak' from guys like us, like Sparrhawk and Karak *hehe* and even though your codes do not say that killing bystanders is necessary, you want constant vigilance from your knights... even though they will most likely be too slow when a real assassination-corps is coming over for your priest *laughs* but who would do such a thing? we may be evil, but killing the undefended is not the thing a warrior should be doing... :/ and i hope that the Knights of the New Moon won't be too easy to catch, and not too easy to crack up once they are caught... and brave enough to not log off, like the cowardly spies in the Shade War XD
10. ok, that's kinda belated by now, but i was just asking out of curiosity, Glor.... neither Necro nor we made a mystery of us being dictatorships, but if the lorerootians want to brag with their democratic elections AND choose to make it public and give us opportunity to ask them about it, i might as well do so, can't i?^^ as for deleting the LR-part... the loss is not that great, and the new activity is very interesting
11. may i further ask who 'all of loreroot' are? like, only members of lorerootian guilds and the GotR before they dissolved, or also all players who claimed that their role was connected with LR?
12. I guess the change was postponed a bit with Mur interfering your plans, wasn't it?
13. Knights of the Full Moon The Knights of the Half Moon are the explorers, ministers, teachers, diplomats, and strategists of the Chidren of he Eclipse. They will serve as the most public and virtuous arm of the Order. just i minor mistake i found when skipping through it ;-) and... oh my gosh, kill bystanders because they could be assassins? what a knightly thing to do =P and i'm looking forward to the first New Moon-Guy i can get a hold off... let's RP-torture those spies a bit, shouldn't we? Or better real torturing?... ^^
15. Roadwork - Stephen King, unfortunately in german, i'd have liked that one in english i guess... lots of nice swearwords *laughs* my must-haves: anything by Stephen King, especially Dark Tower-Cycle [changed my life, really] and The Stand The Neverending Story - Michael Ende Chronicles of Narnia - C.S. Lewis Perfume - Patrick Süskind Steppenwolf - Hermann Hesse Sherlock Holmes - A.C. Doyle Harry Potter - J.K. Rowling [i was young enough back then when i started reading them, and the ends of 5, 6 and 7 still make me cry (if you want to know, i never shed a tear for Chedric =P)] Enwor - Wolfgang Hohlbein, if you like fantasy and bloodshed, that might suit you, it's usually compared with Dune... well, you can't win against Dune, but it's close =) uhm... i guess i could find some more, but my library is at home and i'm at college right now, so i can't check my favorites... those are just a few that jumped to my mind^^

17. oohhh... that will hurt him... let's put a stigmata and the tag 'thief' on him once he returns from prison, including description telling it's not RP, but real life behavior that got him the tag LOL about punishment... there's only one choice imo, FULL RESET, as he's so proud of the creatures and stuff he bought with the stolen credits... 3 weeks prison, account reset to 0 (now show your preious RP-sk!llz, greycloth *laughs*) and obviously a permanent ban from 'creating' jobs like item creation, artworks, archivists... plus the tag and description^^
18. that's what we are there for, LHOs do it officially, a whole lot of others help privately ;-) you'd make a lot of chatting obsolete if the intregated guides were complete, or let alone correct LOL
19. actually, part of the fun is to find your quests ;-) there are only two major integrated quests and a few puzzles, but those are totally easy, the better quests are set by RPCs, who also have the ability of giving information to the clickable objects and set words that will activate them, so go and find a player who's got a dot in front of and after his/her name [like .Kragel. or .Udgard. or .Grido.], they have a quest-page and set riddles there
20. LOL, Raven has great RP? oh well, let's not start discussing who's good or bad at roleplaying... and screw underage, all normal humans who are not attending private schools know more swearwords than me at the age of 10  but that's no reason to use swearwords all over the place, knowing them doesn't mean liking them... the occassional '
Fuck you
' doesn't hurt anybody, but if it gets out of hand or becomes part of playernames and other unchangeable stuff, then it's a different case imo
21. uh well, we seem to look alike, Grido XD and saco was doing a mathmatical joke with his name: 'solve my name and you'll get my real name' Sacosphilz = 5*acos(Phi)/2 = Pi
22. don't take that all so personal, Fenrir... you seem like one of the jerks you want to get rid of, those lil 10-year-olds bad RPers that just throw around with accusations and swearwords... the fact that you are pretty good at drawing doesn't make you better than the rest of us XD and, i'm sorry to say that, but even though your role is all nice, it's not extraordinary enoguh to judge about others like that... i like this off-topic-thread, that's something i missed on this forum... a place to rant against other players all you want :good:
23. Let see... real currencies are backed by Gold and limited by a national bank... I guess Silver needs a limitation in order to keep its value, so its gotta be taken out of the shop and needs a fixed number in the game-realms... like, 1000 coins that can be traded or something... this sets the idea of bronze and easy-attainable coins off, obviously... Then i would see the value of a coin, too, limited supplies make valueable things, it's as easy as that imo just an idea... obvious problem: no more extra coins for those who support the game, cept for buying creatures and selling them to people who have coins :/ Edit @ next post: yeah, i know that it wasn't really backed, but that's the intention ;-) and fortunately enough, we don't need a backed currency, it works good enough wihout being backed [no amtter whether game or real as long as people believe in the value], but it won't work without limitations... it's like German Reichs-Mark in WW2, they printed billions and after a while people knew that there was too much money and it lost ALL it's value, even though it still had some... you can look the story up if you want, moral of it: [seemingly] unlimited cash -> failure for an economy
24. what if i said that all those need to be kicked that play a zero-tolerance role? kicking those who cuss without RPing is like kicking ... heavily pigmented *sighs*... off the bus imo... and i'm pretty sure that you wouldn't realize if you interact with an 8-year old or a 40-year old if both are doing equally good/bad RP, fenrir... all that political correctness and no-swearwords policies are valid as long as anybody who might feel offended is present, and i'm VERY sure that a lot of people here have issues with people swearing in chat, or having sex before marriage etc. etc. edit: totally forgot to post on-topic because i was annoyed of Fenrir's post LOL i think MB is right there, for explanation see above
25. seems like MD is like art... you need to die before you can get famous LOL
