damn it, i remember almost all the names on that list XD Windy, Venger as character is gone since ages, when you meet him, it's either no one or dst toying with the acc also, take a look at the date of the post, and the totally oooold facts in the initial post... i suggest this thred gets closed and moved to historic docs to prevent further confusion, the new GotR have their own threads after all XD

the wrong part of it is that you should first see the world of MD and then find your niche in it, not create exuberant stories for yourslef and then expect the world to bend until it fits your story... there is no wind-daimon creature yet, so please come up with good ideas for one, that's totally encouraged, but don't expect any creature-idea to be implemented within less than a year also, you are not suggesting creature ideas atm, you are just telling us 'hey, this is my story and now i need a new creature, and i'd also like to become their master and RPC with said daimon as my private RPC-reward right NOW, thanks' and assume that someone could work out the details for you, like how it looks, what it does, and such... and seriously, there are enough hard-core damagers, come up with soemthing new ^^

interesting thought, but the creature is not intended to BE in more than one slot, just to BLOCK more than one slot (regardless of the question whether it would seem a fitting artwork for the creature to be displayed in more than one slot O_o), it still counts only as one creature intentionally and would therefore don't have increased chances of catching a freeze, which is of course the aura i had in mind^^ it would also not get doubled influence, a full rit with lvl 5 wall would mean that every creature gets 1/4th of the influence-stats... i thought htat was obvious, i'll add it above... and no, it shouldn't be able to 'pull' friendly auras, just the hostile ones (specially freeze) and whatever else is out there waiting for us xD ( your post was really helpful after all, thanks )

not when they know how to use weaken defence, you might notive that lvl4, which is the last an mp3 should normally reach, is a perfect target for grasan 2, which should be quiet common on mp3 as well... it gets hit twice per strike, therefore losing it's def quiet fast and will then get beaten to pulp easily and fast, at least that's the intention and if people really want to go for god-mode in mp3, they don't really need a wall XD and i forgot to add one thing: all upgrade costs should be neglectable, no more than 5k VE and VP, so that weaker players can actually get a level on which the creature makes sense, i'll edit that into the initial post... this creature is for weak players

i'm sure that a lot of the players here have played Magic some time, or at least heard of it, so my suggestion will sound familiar to most of you: a wall-creature! features: -insanely hard to train -insanely strong on high level -unable to attack why earth elemental? because i couldn't think of a better form for it, open to suggestions^^ why Marind Bell? because i think that mp3 need to have access to strategic creatures, else they won't ever learn how to fight with anything but brute strenght... lvl 1: Stone seemingly just a stone, it has a strange aura emitting from it... and it seems to gather no moss? maybe you should keep it and see what happens... not useable in combat, therefore stats don't matter... req: age 3 ------------- lvl2: Dusty Stone it seems as if his aura has drawn little particles of dust onto his surface... it seems to glow from inside, though... still not useable req: age 8 --------------- lvl3: Pile of Stones after carrying the little stone with you for over a week, it seems that its aura has been strenghtend by the heat of your soul, and now it definitely glows in a faint brown color and radiates a certain pull to other stones. does it really hide in a pile of his comrades? and is it's pull strong enough to be used in combat? finally useable VE 1200 def 30 no attacks aura: [wall] all enemies targeting single target this creature req: 50 wins 3000 xp 20 age -------------------------- lvl4: Stone Sphere the heat of the battle fuels your special little stone, and it's glowing in bright red by now... which you can unfortunately not see because it has gathered more, larger stones all around itself, revolving around the red stone in the centre. Its defensive abilties have improved and it's now able to pull even more enemies on itself VE 2500 def 80 aura [wall] all enemies targeting single or multi target stone sphere [x-large] this creature blocks 1 slot in addition to the one it needs itself (multi-hitters hit that creature 2 times, with no chances to miss because of too little targets) (block a slot is not the same as being in that slot, the creature still only counts ONE slot as it's own, the other one is just not useable, an empty slot) req: 150 wins 12.000 xp 65 age ---------------------- lvl5: Wall as it grows older and gains more experience in battle, the stone grows larger and starts to glow yellow. It seems as if it had a spirts of its own by now, and you notice that it tries to take an almost human shape, but it fails to control its power in such style... as it can't form the shape it wants, it piles his stones up into a wall-like shape, protecting its master and the creatures that fought so many battles at its side VE 5000 def 200 [wall] all enemy creatures target Wall, and no other creature, regardless of their usual targets [xxl] this creature blocks 2 extra slots (multis hit Wall 3 times, all hit Wall 6 times) <- that's why it has such a high VE req: 300 wins 50.000 xp 130 age ----------------- lvl6: Earth Elemental it finally managed to take a shape, though not the one it wanted to. It found out that the human body, which it wanted to achieve for itself, was weak and easy to destroy, and decided to copy the looks of a grasan instead. its aura grew even stronger, and it's now able to manipulate the enemies creatures in strange ways. if you look very closely, you can see a faint white glow radiating from its belly, where it assumed that Grasans had their brains. VE 6000 def 350 [wall] all enemies creatures target the Earth Elemental [xl] this creature blocks 1 extra slot [aura pull] this creature makes single-targting enemy-auras target Earth Elemental (multis and all-attackers hit Earth Elemental with 2 hits(!!), not 6 times like on lvl 5) (consider this a weaker form of the no-multi-spell) (auras like freeze and anti-freeze hit Earth Elemental. it absorbs two auras of each kind, any auras exceeding those two target normally and consider both the slot containing Earth Elemental and the slot blocked by Earth Elemental as empty. auras like vampiric aura, levelscare etc. are not affected. edited the aura-pull due to drachorns, they shouldn't have another extra-chance by their anti-freeze, two anti-freezes from your possible drachorns /tokens are taken from your drachies and added on your wall [tweaking its power down a bit]) max ---------------------- all upgarde costs should be low, between 2 and 5 k VE and VP, making it available to all players all levels have saccing values of 1 def per 20 wins, lvl 5 and 6 give 1 luck per 100 wins, and lvl 6 gets 1 EI per 30 won battles in addition to the old boni DISCLAIMER: this creature's levels 3-4 are designed to aid people on their first steps and can be knocked out extremely fast ONLY IF they figure out what to do against it, that's the point! level 5-6 are strong enough to make it valueable for older players, too, but have some good age requirements on them to make them hardly available for mp3 unless they are doing power-fighting, and those people would hardly need walls anymore ---------------------- I'm not sure if Mur can/wants to do such auras, or even wants a wall with such powers, seeing the tree which is already implemented, but it's just an idea I guess the advantages for each stage of the game, whether for starters or for veterans, are balanced by the drawbacks of blocking more than one slot, its insane VE combined with the fact that eles hit it two times per round, and the unability to do anything but being there. i'll frankly admit that i don't care for your opinions, and dislike approval- or disapproval-posts, that's what the stupid poll is there for... however, if you think you have a few useful thoughts to add, please post =) oh, and i'm aware of the fact that this might cross with Udgards Golem-idea, but i haven't heard anything about the Golems powers and think that he wants another drachorn-like damager... and as i've already stated, this stone-idea was just the first picture and description that jumped to my mind, if you find better solutions, post them^^ if you place more than one of those creatures of the same level in one rit, one of them will be hit randomly, if you place different levels, the highest will protect lower ones just like any other creature (the aura grows stronger with each upgrade) edit-history: grammar and spelling-issues, 'more than one wall'-clarification, upgrade-costs + disclaimer, 'blocked slot'-clarification, general language-check-up and clarifications on hits, aura-pull, saccing, tweaking aura

happy b-day =))

guy, your ideas of exploits are very different from those of the rest of the world... it's not always an exploit when someone kicks you butt no one's rules are quite clear, and as long as you play according to the rules, you are not exploiting anything... just one thing you forgot: include that all rits have to be set just before the fight

The Death Of Peace, Princess Of The Evening Blue Sky
Burns replied to Prince Marvolo's topic in Historic Documents
alternate idea: the white orb is the shades natural enemy, and is out to get Peace since she died, Peace has left the realm of 'living beings' (whatever this means in these days of utmost stupid creations runnign around the realms) and turned into a shade like Khalazdad, with the option to return to 'our' realm in a body and turn into a half-shade by the force of her and her friends' spirits, as anything you believe into can become real in MD. the Orb, who already absorbed Shade Sentinel, is now out to get the the latest Shade, Peace, and vanquish her shade-part forever in a white cube (why white, not black? because shades are not dark, just different, and in their essence, they could as well be white as black or purple) like he did with the Sentinel. This idea is backed up by Khalazdad's white cube, where parts of his soul were imprisoned while he was the Black, cubes can contain souls, life, spirits, whatever you want to put into them. so i guess the Orb sensed Peace with its predator skills and is now on his way to Peace to get done with her and the shades in general unless someone does something against that. i would therefore suggest that you find a way to resurrect Peace ASAP, cause if the orb acts in the way i described, Peace' soul might be lost forever if the orbs gets her before we do. The Golemus Wizard knew how to drag spirits from other realms into ours, for instance, which might be helpful in this case... but idk if there are people left who know how to do that trick, 'cept for Akasha maybe... or maybe a sacrifice will be needed, like in the instance at the House of Liquid Dust... but of course that's all just theories, and it might work in totally other ways XD -
ah, misunderstood that... i don't exactly see the value of it, but it could be a nice gimmick
-
you already have that... creatures gain age even when you don't log in, so you can just take the current date and your creatures age, and count backwards to find out when you got it
-
loreroot had help from dst and no one and Black, when did you score for MDA? you have no idea when the test stopped and the actual competition started, as you might remember, mur stated that there would be a test-run first and the first real competition right afterwards... so why should he do a new announcement for the start of the real competition? and why do you think you deserve a reward? Mur already said that the land admins (i guess Pample, Lib, Marv, Firs, Yrth) have total conrol over those rewards and hwo they are distibuted, so you won't get one unless these people know that you worked a lot for their lands... which will be easier to prove next time with the torch-score board
-
i think torchholders should get a set regen-time of 5 or 10 minutes, because every step consumes all ap... that way, people with strong, but extremely long regens (like the Golemus allies) have a much harder time than the allies with weaker, but shorter regen intervals (dst actually went from Ravenhold to Wind's and back in the same time that i needed to get from Ravenhold to Marble Dale Park -.-) i'm not complaining about that, just pointing out that people might find the contest fairer that way... unless we want another unfair contest like Heads, which i'd personally like a lot more
-
let's put it that way: there's a lot of space for improvements in this contest XD
-
that's how it worked in first test, yap... there are lots of things that still need some tweaking about with that contest XD
-
that means that dst did evil and insane experiments with Venger... this account is way beyond our imagination
-
like, seriously? LOL Chewie warned you and moved your topic, no deletions, no bans, nothing evil... and he's done the same countless times already, it's really not news that he wants offtopic issues in offtopic corner

i use to make a difference between the persons grinders and the hardcore-stat-farming grinding for the mindless fighting machines and stat-gainers(*cough* eigger *cough*), the easy time is over, but what grinders stand for [in fact, rather what dst stands for, the term was created for her in this game] is something else: it's the ability to adapt to situations and make the best of them, while the not-grinders are constantly complaining about something that doesn't fit their own plans... so, i agree, the grinders are still there, but the grinding-business where everybody could participate, that is over oh, and don't misunderstand that: the best Role-Players are grinders, people who can take what they have and improve it in every aspect, instead of making up horrendous things just to have an easier time with their role =)
-
as one of the persons who wanted to try the quest, i hate you now, dst... as one of the bystanders, all i can say is: GO DSTy, show those nerdy RPCs what real players are made of XD you see me torn apart by this business... well, not really, quests are good fun, but how often do you see players who work THAT hard for things they want? GO DSTy^^
-
uhm... did you assume training was meant to be as easy as it used to be when you started? LOL you shouldn't get the wins for all your critters in a day or two, it should take about as long as the age requirement intentionally [it goes without saying that you should only get your xp and wins in that time when you fight 6 hours a day]

Alpha 9 - Impressions About The Past And Wishies For The Future
Burns replied to Akasha's topic in Work in progress
hm... i like the changes, how HC and fighting evolved, the opening of Golemus and inner necro, the items, the new RPCs (though not all of them), the festival... overall, a8 was nice, but a little combat-based i have just one wish: working auras xD apart form that... i guess a9 will be more about role-playing agian, like it or not... but anything that changes the everyday trod is fine =)) surprise us -
@ no-seers: DB is doing Granos' quest and was asking Lib and me what chess piece he might be, that's what it's all about and, DB, you protect the King because the rules say that you lose when it's gone, not because it's valueable or strong =P now, why the king, you might say? why is the weakest link the one that needs to survive, while the strong queen can die and nothing happens? because it is a strategic war game, and once the weakest link in their lines falls, the rest will start to get desperate and fall themselves, so the game was designed to teach them loyalty and the value of mere life: all the fighters protect not only themselves, but also the little weaklings amongst them, and with doing so, they can make some of the weaklings show their strenghts themselves (pawns turning into queens when they survive long enough), while other weaklings will lay back and do nothing all day long while the rest of their company is dieing, and that's where the king comes into game... and you are still a king imo =P

the 40 mins and the shorter fights DO help ally-members a lot, that way you don't get too many losses when people who are stronger than you are around XD apart from that... i guess it must be a real pain when you want to do insane amounts of fights, but grinding is not what the game is about, as you yourself have occasionally dropped into conversations... and i agree, NOW grinding is not part of the game anymore, so we'll all have to put up with it and it's easy to have perma-balance out of ally, too, you just wait 6 months until everybody has it... or not, 'cause nobody seems to care for stat-gains anymore :/
-
no need to show me, Death, i saw it 10 minutes after you opend that topic... but i didn't feel like telling what you cut out XD
