  2. We have skills for harvesting the 1st level resources... what about skills for the creation of 2nd level resources. For example: Alchemy skill for making the toxic extract or essential oils Carpentry for making the barriers and other wood based items. Enchantment for making the stone tablets Blacksmithing for smelting of mined ore Cooking for cake, tea, wine, or other food/drink related.
  3. If you follow the hidden forum you will get updates, otherwise you wont. That I have noticed so far. But you will get 'spammed' with a password protected post and you can not get it to go away by clicking on it. So it says on the unread content page.

  6. This is on hold until I figure out how to incorporate the new changes into tasks, quests, and the reward system to make it more fair.
  7. I have a question... My roses and mints, I bought as smaller plants not seeds... Do they count for this? If not I have plenty that is from seed. Roses are not easily obtainable in seed form, many rose plants will be from cuttings or plants already grown. Mint is easy to maintain but roses are a bit difficult. And in May I should get a new rose plant addition My friend bought me one for my birthday it is just on back order.
  8. Here is an update I have been fighting several insect problems... spidermites, thrips, and a mystery bug that I can't seem to find but it is big enough to eat large holes into my rose plants. Below is pictures of my garden a few weeks ago and I had harvested 1 radish to see how much longer I should wait. The tomatoes plants are in bloom and my roses keep blooming. One rose starts out a yellowish color and ages to pink/red. The other turns into a purpleish red rust color... Hard to discribe and the picture does not do it justice. Pictures of my garden from today and my zinnias are starting to bud. Some of my radishes will be ready to harvest this week and I might harvest some mint. In a few weeks I should have some tomatoes Some insect damage
  9. Some are fillable clickie ideas and others are cauldron ideas. How I define the words: Tonic- a drink that has some benefits beyond what is currently in the game. For example there is tea and alcohol. This would be a drink or possibly alcoholic drink that acts beyond the current ones. Toxins- a toxic substance that has a short term affect. Like weaken, or move lock. Poisons- toxic substance that has a Longer term affects and can lead to death Potions-magically enhanced drink Salves-herbal cream or wax based substance. Syrups-sugar based medicine herbal Oils- oil based medicine tinctures-alcohol based medicine Now for ways it could be applied to md Garsen Tonic- 5 garsen ferment + 20 unidentified plants Uses a barrel Effect= extended drunkenness + 2000 heat + garbage Multiple uses, perhaps 5 or 8 uses Paralyzing Toxin- 5 flasks of Toxic extract + 20 Syntropic Dust Uses a distiller Effect= casts a weakened version of movelock on a player + garbage Multiple uses- 10? Cold Rose infused tea: 3 rose petal in a satchel (common item) + 20 flowers + 5 cold tea Uses a jar or bottle effect= Decreases regeneration and removes movelock affects + garbage Multiple uses- 8? Foul Poison- 2 coarse bone dust (common item) + 4 Garsen skin + 10 flasks of toxic extract uses a barrel or pot effect= weaken (level 2?) and movelock (longer movelock) + garbage Multiple uses= 10 Lavender Oil: 2 lavender satchles + 4 garsen fat Uses a jar or bottle effect= removes weaken or attacklock Multiple uses: 3 Berry Syrup: 3 bushies + 25 sticky goop + 30 aromatic herbs uses a pot effect= removes silvertongue Multiple uses: 4 Concentrated Flask of toxic extract: 50 flasks of toxic extract uses distiller Gives 1 concentrated flask of toxic extract Poison of Torment: 2 concentrated flasks of toxic extract + 500 toxic plants Uses a pot Effect= Highest level of weaken, attacklock, movelock, and if not cured death in x time frame. Uses 3 Concentrated essential oil: 15 essential oils uses distiller Gives 1 concentrated essential oil Cure all salve: 10 Bushies + 2 essential oil Uses a pot Effect= removes any poison or toxin affect. The difference in the concentrated versions and the Poison/cure, is because the essential oil takes 100 aromatic herbs while the toxic extract takes 20 toxic plants. But numbers are something that can easily be changed to make balanced.
  10. Like with the skeleton, zombie, and other creature ideas...or even totem creatures. Instead of using them in battle, they are used similar to the plainsguard. They protect an area or perform some function... Like delevering a message in a quest. Though there would need to be some limit to locations they can be used and some limit as to how many could be actived at one time. Otherwises scenes would be come very cluttered. Or have these appear on a side bar if one were to look at affects/creatures in the area.
  11. There seems to be a bit of a disconnect between weapon shop equipment and personal inventories. What I mean is that they hav similarities in concepts. There are combat type items or other wareable items in peoples inventory that are more md connected than some weapon shop items. Perhaps if when a medusa helment is worn it shows up in the wearable section on personal inventory chest. And if some one has a cloak in their personal inventory there is the option to wear it and having similar stats as to what is out there currently. With this there could be armor sets that are more alliance/group based. Like Necro Nomads cloaks or wooden armor for the woodcutters. x amount of lumber = wooden helmet x amount of cotton cloth = cloak these items created or moved over from the weapon shop could be nontrasferable
  12. I have a question out of curiousity. If a person posts(or gives a rep point) on a hidden forum does it show up on a persons activity page if they are not apart of that hidden forum? ( I do not know what I can not see... not sure if anyone has posted to a hidden forum since the new forums)
  13. I like the new activity log, it is nice and I am getting use to it. I have noticed that the [log=lalala] [/log] Does not seem to work, unless I am doing it incorrectly. Or the way to use it has changed. Anyone know?

A bit more specific on the items I posted before 20 memory stones= 1 stone tablet 1 stone tablet records all casts and spells of that player Up too 20x3 (I think 3 is the standard number of casts in a memory stone)- the tablets name then changes to the "Player's name' Tablet" The tablets could be passed over to apprentices if training someone to take over a position. Though I think that if a stone tablet is made useable that certain spell be made to where it is too complex to be stored in memory stones/tablets. This way rare spells are not automatically copied over. 50 glass (already a 2nd level resource) = 1 glass dome Use a smelter Glass dome is used to keep everybody from harvesting a specific resource at that scene. The glass dome will stay there until resources reach its max for that location. Glass dome has 5 uses before it shatters and turns into glass dust. Newer stuff: 10 glass = 1 pile of glass dust Use a grinder. Later use -> Glass dust ball- blinds target player, unable to move or attack 30 tree bark = 1 willow bark powder Uses a grinder Gives 1000 vitality (Might later be able to combine with teas or other herbs/powders for different/stronger affects) 20 tree bark = 1 cinnamon powder Uses a grinder Gives 2% to briskness 40 branches= 1 trap is placed at a location Has the potential to trap someone but may require a combiner later to make it useable. Like adding toxic plants to do damage or add a movelock spell stone to cast move lock on who ever happens to become victim to it. 300 lumber = 1 barrier Raises ap of moving out of that scene by 250 points. 100 timeless dust = 1 timeless gem Uses smelter Maybe used later to combine creature totems into new or twisted/corrupt creatures. For toxic plants if you want a standard Toxic extract then the current fillable is used. But if you want specific toxic extracts or poisons then the Toxic plants can be identified into new toxic based plant resources (nightshade... I would have to find my toxic plant book to put down more... I moved and now can't find it). 20 Mineral water = 1 pile of silver dust Uses a sieve Later may be able to make a silver coin. 20 Mineral water = 1 pile of gold dust (rarer to obtain, will most likely get silver dust) Uses a sieve Later might be able to use smelter to get a gold coin from the gold dust 15 silver coins = 1 silver bar Uses smelter 5 Gold coins = 1 gold bar uses smelter Bars might be able to be used later in an item combiner to create silver or gold items. 5 memory stones = 1 memory powder uses grinder May later be used with combiners to give a common item a spell ability but the player using the combiner would have to have the x# powder and item on them, as well as know the spell. So in some cases a person may have the items but may have to go to someone else to do the enchanting part. 10 memory stones = 1 mysterious gem Rock crusher Mysterious gem later to be identified. A little random thought below Might be able to make quests where only after creating x # of silver bar can a person make a silver orb and after making 1 of each orb type they gain access to a secret location. Another words I see the potential of being able to make more items from resources and how it might make quests and tasks more interesting.
  15. 7_localpub_2 should be the red dot 7_localpub_1 Should be the blueish black dot But when at both of those locations you show up as the gold dot off in the bushes. For 7_upalley_1 you should be at the green dot but is off in the trees at the gold 7_pwterrace_1 should be at the pink dot but off in the trees. 7_floatingbook_1 and 7_floatingbook_2 should be at the turquoise colored dot 7_warriorsbust_1 should be purple dot I can continue this if it is wanted. If it is not then I will leave it at this.
  16. Some of these are made based off of others ideas above and then others are ones that have not been mentioned. Images A-C obtained from identifying the plants: A is a cotton boll. If you get enough cotton perhaps cloth, gauze, or other such items could be made later. B is a batch of flax or close enough in design to also be straw. If enough flax is gathered then natural paper could be made (It would not be white paper since that takes bleaching the fibers). C is wheat, two products could come from wheat, flour and straw. To go with some ideas that others posted E is an herbarium book used to identify plants [log=Items D-E] [/log] F is a grinder, used to grind seed or other items G is a stone tablet, made from memory stones or can become an enchanted stone tablet by using numerous spell stones. The difference from normal memory stones is that it can record all the casts that a player has and an enchanted stone tablet made with spell stones records all the casts in each of those stones. H is a flask of liquid fenths, used to substitute higher level resource in the creation of useable items. I is a glass dome where you have to have a specific number of glass. The dome can be used multiple times to protect a resource from being harvested. J is a smelter, melt down minerals, sand, glass, or fenths into higher level resources. [log=Items F-J] [/log]
  17. I am excited about this, especially the identifying the herbs. There are also different kinds of aromatic herbs and different kinds of tea leaves. But breaking down the tea leaves might be a bit much. Also there are different kinds of flowers: Roses, lavender, chamomile... that can also be used as herbs; other kinds of flowers like sunflowers (the seeds can be used as a food source), zinnias, tulips, etc... Some flowers could have other specific uses or abilities. Though I have a question with these fillible items, if you have over the amount where its max is 20 but you have to give all 200 of your resources... Do you lose the rest that go over the 20 or is the 200 divided by 20 or does it just take the 20 and give the rest back? I will post ideas and picture later today.
  18. Go to message inbox and then click the arrow pointing down. Then it will show the different folders.
  19. Not sure if it is a bug or how important it is for people, it is just something I noticed. For the side status bar if you post an update using the bar and add a emoji it will not show up on the side status bar. It will show up if you go to the users profile and see there status.
  20. I liked the old set up better. I could get use to this but I already had a method of checking things and this one does not really improve upon an aspect... just makes it a bit different to access things.... Plus the other one was more appealing in appearance/overall layout. Edit: I do like the pm system a bit better than the old way. Probably will not lose pms from receiving too many now. Not sure but it is something to check out. edit2: I can not find where the status updates/where people post how they are doing, quotes, or advertise an event/quest/forum post.
