I agree with that and MD hasn't become more automated or anything. The specialness isn't being taken away as well. The game is improving since a long time and on the best way to become even greater. I mean no offense to anybody or want to attack any decisions I just want to point out a general fact that in my opinion limits MD a lot but is unseen.
What I meant in my earlier posts is limited responsibility and freedom being taken away from the players. I made the best example I could by referring to Murs topic with the knowledge/info trade for freedom. The more a god/creator is taking responsibility from his community the more it limits their minds. What is a god/creator to begin with? A caring nurturing mother and while the god is intervening to much with his children he keeps them from growing independently. Its the very same Mur said in his other topic just instead of knowledge/info taking the freedom a higher entities interventions are. I don't understand how it is so hard to see... as long as you live under the responsibility of your parents you aren't living by yourself. Same is with MD community we live under the wing of its god and not by ourselves. And no I am not saying the god has to die he just needs to distance himself more and let his people take care of themselves.
Mur I don't know how to say this better... just compare it to giving information/knowledge to somebody. You said it comes at the cost of their freedom. Its the very same when a higher entity dictates the course of life for other people. Each time the god intervenes with decisions that concern people in MD, he takes freedom and responsibility from them. And with that limits them.

Thank you very much for the support and especially the time invested to help me. But don't worry this was inevitable, it should have happened long ago. And please forgive those people who claim I used this trial to get out of my punishment. I cant even believe how stupid they think I must be. Only a complete fool would do such a thing in public and not in a private email to Mur. And in case people are wondering yes I did send an email to Mur explaining my situation and tried to change the punishment. But guess what I realized in those emails that I completely misunderstood the game from day1 and with that lost my place to live in MD. I made the trial in hopes to regain a sense of what MD is, or better said in hopes to clarify that I did understand it, or at least try to change it back to what I believed it was. I failed and now I understand what I didn't before.
What was written in the drach lair incident announcement took the most important thing for me in MD. And that was a world I could understand and especially by representing a land like Marind Bell believe in. So my only option left was to make this trial about life and death not only to make sure that it will be taken seriously by higher ups, but most of all to get back my believe into what I have been working for the whole time in Marind Bell.
At any rate its over now and my character failed and died (just need to pass on kingship and actually die officially). And the only person to blame for that is myself because I failed to understand one of the most important parts of the game. I still hope that it will lead to a better presented rules and law system because it really hurt when I realized that it took me over 2 years and a crime to understand how stuff really worked in the game. -

Lifeline is gone the only task left for him is to actually officially die. Please understand that I neither mean offense nor anything bad with this. I just wanted to point out a fact that made a king die. Was I offensive in the death/life topic of yours or in the shrine keeper decision? no, and the same goes for this topic. I have moved on; Lifeline is gone and I certainly do not have time to whine about a lost cause and a failed character. I am not angry anymore I just try to leave something behind that might help.
Please forget about who Lifeline was or what he did for now, actually don't even look at the name at all. Forget chase and the whole incident in the drach lair and what followed and read my last post again. That is an honest statement with no ill will intended at all. Please just think about it you said something very similar a few days ago. With every piece of knowledge/information you give us you limit our own freedom of thought. Its the same with what I call "godly interventions" here. Of course a god has to shape and create a world that can preserve itself but if he interferes with the life and decisions in that world to much it limits their life greatly. It takes away their responsibility. You can take care of "your children" a lot and give them a safe place and everything needed to grow up but at one point they will want to evolve freely and not constantly be guided around at the hand of somebody else. They will break free sooner or later to experience life outside their safe home. They seek self realization and they will crash and burn but that is what life is.
I never had the chance to read your book maybe I would be able to come up with a better example then. All I can do for now is hope that you get the message I am trying to send here. -

First of all I agree with what Awiiya said and also with what Fyrd said in my trial topic.

I believe you created MD as a place for people to develop and grow in. But with your godly interventions you shrink the cube more and more instead of expanding it. I see that I am not alone and that others have picked a much more peaceful road than me but a similar path. You should be proud on the community in MD because it only means that life is no longer content to live in the little cage you have made it lately. You have protected life from abuse and death but that is not the same as living. What do you expect of us? Should we sit back and let you take care of us like babies? You have been leading your „children“ by the hand and gave them a world to live in but still see us as infants. We have grown up, have more faith in us we are stronger than you think.
The god has to step back, if he is to present and intervenes to much all it creates is a prison for the minds of the life he means to protects. And protecting turns into drawing the essence out of that life. Humans are meant to evolve, not to sit down idly and being taken care of by a divine god. -
I cant find the words to say what I want to but I will later on post what I mean to say. For now I will only comment one thing: I had the chase spell for almost 2 years ...its all written and documentated in the announcements. Only jonn, mrd, possibly renavoid (not sure if his "spaceship" was chase and summon or a complete different spell) and me had it. And people like mur, knatty, ect. Since knatty and mur still have it (according to announcements) the game lost no spell at all. jonn is long gone and mrd is retired as well so nothing was really changed only 1 person lost it while knatty (i guess so because he wasnt mentioned in annoucnements) kept it.

Speaking of value system: Whatever you mean by irony or that sentence I lost the only 2 things in this situation I value to begin with (and I am not speaking about the kingship penality point). If I make such a huge "theatre" about "ridiculous excuses" after two years of playing, being a king, and no history of crime or rebellion, isnt that completely out of character? -
Valuable for others or in general can probably happen either way. A glorious death after an exeptional life might motivate other people. But even if said person doesnt die and continues living a now "meaningless" life he might still be a good example for others to learn from. That is how I can think of valuable in this context. Otherwise I understand the word without the concept of time. And if time doesnt exists then valuable becomes something completely different. I dont want to go offtopic but take a look at every lifeform besides humans: do you think they are aware of time? Does time has any influence at all for their life? The past is something gone already, untouchable, something that cant be changed anymore. The future is infinite could be anything but as a matter of fact doesnt exist yet. The only moment one is able to influence life, change it, make an impact is in the present. The present is a present/gift its the only time that gives anybody power - the power to influence his/her life or the one of others. In this very present moment the past doesnt matter, it holds no power anymore and the future is decided in this very moment. So in my point of view nothing like time exists in the first place. There is only the presence and nothing else will ever matter. (If its hard to follow what I mean try this: close your eyes and ask yourself what problem do I have in this VERY moment/sencond. You wont have an answer because there is no problem. Problems only exist if you give the past the power to rule your life)
I dont think dieing has anything to do with giving up. If one was giving up on life he did so way before he chose death. Death was only the final option available because deep down the person understood that he wasnt living the whole time anyway.
As for selfdestructing or meaningsless life:
In my opinion its the other way around: a selfdestructing life isnt uncommon, in fact many celebrities live such a lifestyle but they are still "valueable" to/for society. A person who gave up on life truely lives a meaningless life, he refuses to honor the present he was given and with that holds no power at all. He cant impact anything and is stripped of all his power - he is harmless and will be ignored. He turned his life into something useless and meaningless which is the greatest crime one can commit to oneself. By giving up on life he strips all meaning from whatever he has accomplished and doesnt value anything. A selfdestructing lifestyle only destroys what was build before but leaves its meaning (that is for the person itself. How others judge the situation is completely different) -
Death is what makes life important in the first place. One finds real life through death, the moment that is realized one isnt leading a meaningless life anymore. I cant answer this question because it forces certain answers and doesnt give enough room to truely answer. For what do you live your life? To be prepared for death and embrace it as ur closest friend or to avoid it as long as possible or the countless options inbetween? You are dieing by living and you are living by dieing, by seperating the two you miss what they really are.

i dont know if my english just sucks or if people dont read clearly. i said in my first sentence of my last post that this isnt about if i am guilty or not. i wouldnt have teleported everybody out if i thought i wasnt guilty. and mur i told u in an email as well that i know that i am guilty. i just didnt know that i committed something that was a crime but after talking to akasha i realized that it indeed was one.
and as for punishment there exists 3 types of punishments: temporary ones, permanent ones and irrecoverable ones. looking at almost all punishments given they are almost all temporary (jail, stat reduction, curses, warnings, ect). a punishment that is both permanent and irrecoverable (meaning the punished thing wont ever be gained back) happens only for the worst crimes i saw so far. and i will say it once again i know i am guilty i just wasnt aware that i committed a crime and that bringing more than 2 people inside the drach lair/closed location is never stated as crime. so what i am asking for is a warning along with a reasonable punishment for something that isnt anywhere defined as crime especially for people i teleported who didnt even know they would end up in drach lair.
but to make it really clear a MD where court and laws are enforced like this is not an environment my character lifeline can survive in. so if this is what MD is then my character will die in that world. -

this trial is not about if i, RJ, ect are guilty or not! this trial is about how we got heavely punished for something that was never even mentioned as crime in the rules or restrictions. in fact the rules and restrictions actually support every action taken. we could have chosen several different locations but we chose the drach lair because we thought it was allowed. and once again mur said the crime wasnt entering, the crime was getting a bunch of people inside which isnt even stated on the forums. this trial is about how an act that isnt anywhere ingame defined as crime was punished insanely heavy instead of a warning along with a normal punishment. just look at the punishment history of not just drach lair involved incidents but many others. committed crimes that were stated as crimes in the rules where offenders got a much lighter punishment in almost any case. masterb even left the lair right away but still got punished. in my opinion a completely innocent person got prisoned for something which he wasnt responsible for and even wasnt stated as crime anywhere. this incident was handled unjust in my point of view.
so once again: [b]THIS TRIAL IS ABOUT INSANLY HEAVY PUNISHMENT FOR AN ACT THAT ISNT ANYWHERE DEFINED AS CRIME (getting several people inside drach lair/closed location) BUT ON THE CONTRARY IS EVEN SUPPORTED IN THE OFFICIAL RULES.[/b]

as for the chase spell: many spells and items are abusable but they are still around. how about my jailing item? that is hugely abusable and one king will surely abuse it one day in the future.
what MD is worth to me? besides the 74$ unused credits i still have on my account and lots of other things, i already said above how i value stuff in life. its what my very name stands for. -

@ mur: this is not against MD itself it is against how rules and laws are not existant but players get punished. for how this particular punishment and case was handled.

chase spell is abusable yes but did i ever do that? did i jump into a rpc meeting? no. i didnt even jump into AL or KC mission or anything. and in fact if i understand mur correctly i didnt even abuse the spell in this very case because the crime was getting more than 2 or 3 people inside the lair.

EDIT: need to add something more because this is what this is about the rules and restrictions. really have a look at them and u will see that especially the bold or red rules were offended very often and that the violators either got no punishment at all or were really light ones. the rules really cover a lot like impersonation of other players. how then can players get hugely punished without a trial, their voices being heard, their case properly investigated, ect for something that not only never appears in the rules but also never in the announcements? i will keep stressing masterb case here because i see no reason at all for him to be guilty of anything. that recruiting crits u shouldnt be able to isnt allowed makes sense just on a common sense basis. but that a few locations are offlimit or what this seems to really be about restricted to only a certain number of players is never mentioned anywhere. and mur said so himself the crime was having LOTS of people inside the lair just 1 or 2 would have been no problem at all. and that truely is never even mentioned anywhere including forums. so all i am doing here is asking for a warning instead a punishment. a warning that still results into a kingship penality point for me but nothing else especially for the people i teleported. -

yes and once again this is no bluff. if i will not get banned i will make sure to pass along kingship and let the player lifeline die in MD.

mostly yes. main point is that the rules cover a lot like how rude language/insults and slander is bannable, mentions wishpoints abuse, swearing, and almost everything u can think about but never offlimit locations in general. the rules state several things as crimes dst commits over and over again but something for what people get hugely punished for isnt even mentioned. and once again best example is masterb here. he didnt even know he would end up in drach lair. a minute after i summoned him in he left and teled back to papercabin.
and for me the way every incident in the drach lair got handled shows very clearly that RJ still kept his authority and owns the place. if not even the gg king can enter then yes i believe RJ is the highest authority to ask there(expect mur of course). i simply had no reasons to not believe what RJ told me.
as for what i want if i win this trial please refer to my orginal post it is said very clearly there.

i apologized to yrth and explained the situation but if i have to again then here very quickly: gg king has no access to the lair, RJ does so i thought RJ is the authority to contact. and please read the new announcement maybe then u can see that it was easy to make a mistake there.
and now no offense but it looked insulting? when burns boldly posted a gg recruitment poster in the middle of MB without ever asking me i didnt go to war. i even kindly ask him to simply move it outside of MB. and guess what after that another incident where gg citizen overstepped land borders. burns actually sets up the fight club at the park while i was planning something there myself. once again he never asked me and i only kindly told him to move it somewhere else because i had an own dojo planned. i mean no offense here but i am really surprised how 3 leaders of golemus keep tellng me i insulted their land, stepped on their toes, ect and in the past a gg leader did worse to MB and all i did was kindly notice him that it is a land under a king and not their playfield. come on a recruitment poster for gg alliance in the heart of MB without ever asking me? what is that?! but anyway lets forget about all that and concentrate on the trial here. i certainly do not wish to bring up old problems (they are past and gone) or endanger my friendship to golemus. so lets just move on and not bring it up anymore.
@ many other people please read the rules and restrictions ingame it seems u never did. it is amazing how many things are covered in there that even get violated on a consistant basis but are never punsihed or very lightly even if the rules say its forbidden in bold big red.

i currently have little internet and even have to pay for it (i actually write all this MD stuff offline and just log into the inet to post it). my personal advantage out of a training ground? i didnt even use the place i left it without a single attack. nor could i have used it for at least 2 months because i have no time at all and probaly not afterwards as well (oh and after 2 months dst would have surely managed to destroy it). and now please everybody think about this if i knew i was doing something bad why go into drach lair? i could have gone to fields of fear even much more easly. that would have been a save location at least until the next torch competetion. but i am sick of trying to proof that anymore the important people have decided i am an abuser well fine then let them be my guest.
how i value stuff... let me explain a small fraction of my name what it means. and now this is truely only the smallest part of it. Life line - living on the line in a constant embrace with death. its about the present moment the only thing i believe truely exists. so what i value is the present not the past that is gone and not the future that doesnt exists yet.
dont make this about what i value or not there is only value for the present - the gift that is the same to all. it matters not if i am a king or newbie in the aspect of value. we all got the very same power to influence this very moment and thats all one can ever really claim.
i dont care about my character in MD just because i embrace death? death is merely the stripping away of everything that isnt myself. and myself is not a person that will tolerate laws and rules that are handled like this. so yes strip that away from me and with that allow me to become who i truely am.
(i ment everything i said and if this trial results in the death of the player lifeline then i hope it was for something that made an impact and gave life to an improved system that will ensure better handling)
(oh and i didnt ask u personally because i thought RJ was allowed to invite people inside and if for every possibly bad choice i could have made as king i would have ask u u would have been very busy with me. the only game i play since 2 years is MD and besides that i have a very tight schedule myself so i can perfectly understand that u have no time and respect ur time. i will say it again i HAD CONCERNS but after listening to RJ i was convinced its all fine)

i already excused burns twice to what u people urself call violation of a land. and yes champ dome would have been no problem i would have messaged u that i am disappointed about not being ask (note i appologized to yrth) but would let ur training ground be there. why shouldnt i? its a good project that helps PLAYERS which in my opinion is much more important than land and territory. -
first of all this is no joke i am dead serious!
and while speaking of death i will put my life on the line for this in order to avoid this trial being fake, postponed, stagnated, not taken serious, or whatever else like it was the case in the fenrir vs dst trial for example. just for the record the trial just stagnated and the judgement was never carried out while fenrir still played. then after several months fenrir quit the game and a few days later the judgement was spoken and of course against fenrir who had left by that time. so in order to avoid any fake trial and show my huge dissatisfaction with the last incident i will go all out on this one and make this about life and death for me. i will show all my determination in this trial and go down fighting for what i not only as player but also as king of a mainland believe is fair justice. if i loose this trial i shall be openly executed (execution followed by perm ban for my main account and other accounts i have) and will pass the crown of marind bell and kingship title with all the kingship items to one of the council members of marind bell who i deem worthy of being the next king/queen.
little info beforehand: i trusted a former rpc who wasnot stoned/demoted/kicked or anything. RJ ensured me he is allowed to invite as many people inside the drach lair as he wants so i believed him because he was still the master of the lair and it never says in the rules or announcements that the area is offlimits plus no more drachs can be recruited.
so now lets get this started:
i hereby want to go to court against how mur and the "royal" court passed down judgement and handled the drachorn lair incident. especially how innocent players like masterb who didnt even know he would end up in drach lair got punished. he left the lair seconds after he got teleported in so no matter how u look at it he is perfectly innocent!
i believe that the recent drachorn lair incident was handled most unfair and unjust. i will begin by posting all the announcements involving the drachorn lair:

RJ steps down on his own will and isnt stoned/demoted/kicked or anything. the players in the recent drach lair incident had no reason to mistrust him. he was a former rpc, still had access to the drach lair and is still the master of the cave (only he got access not even the golemus king can enter). RJ himself invited all of us into the drach lair so we had good reason to trust in his word and believe him.
("Part of his [b]rpc abilites[/b] will be withdrawn together with his [b]status[/b]" its a little unclear but status with a clear mention of rpc before can in my opinion only mean rpc status things get removed but not his role as master of the drach cave)

it merely says it is closed with RJ still having access to it. it NEVER says anywhere that the location is offlimits or illegal to enter. since i know i will have to be real clear on this: open is the opposite of closed. so closed means that u cant open it. and indeed yes nobody can open it but RJ can walk inside (he has access) and several people can teleport others inside. it got closed when RJ lost his ability to open it for others. so closed refers only to nobody being able to open the lair and not that the location is offlimits or forbidden to enter.

Drachorn Eggs sacrifice day..not for Easter Eggs
Because of excessive amounts of drachorns when usual reward is 1 maximum 2, several measures have been taken against following players: Caster masc (aka tankfans) killed 7 drachorns eggs (all), .MRD. killed 10 drachorns eggs (all) , PTB killed 5 drachorns eggs (all), .Grido. killed 11 drachorn eggs. A few players were left with over 5 drachorns because of their role and because those drachorns are expected to be used as rewards for other players. [b].SmartalekRJ., the drachorn master,[/b] lost his ability to give access to the Drachorns Lair. [b]Access to the Lair was removed from all characters except .SmaralekRJ.[/b] . Access to the Lair and recruiting of just one, was a matter of trust, but it seems some considered it as a great opportunity to get too many rare creatures. Distribution of drachorns in the realm will be increased later when they will become again very rare (more than now). Those penalised should be happy that the penalisation was not higher. [/i]
now here 33 drachorns were illegally purchased and the only punishment they got was that their illegal drachorns were sacrificed. RJ stayed drachorn master and still kept his access to the lair = he is the master of the cave, he owns it.
please compare to the recent case: nobody was able to recruit a single drachorn in the cave so no real harm was done and everything else like unjustified access ect was exactly the same as the situation before but never even mentioned back then. but now players got high punishment unlike the ones from the previous incident who completely abused the situation and recruited up to 11 drachorns per person illegally and got away with no punishment at all (expect the illegal drachs being sacrificed)
and finally in the rules and restrictions it never says anything about locations being offlimit forbidden not even anything slighty close to that. but it does say the following:

that is official game rule and it tells me of no restriction but even the contrary that i can do pretty much whatever i want.
the forum has 67,072 posts and mur has 1,355 posts. its not realistic for any person to read every single one and memorize it perfectly so even if somewhere on the forum it was explicitly said that the drach cave is forbidden to be entered or offlimits then it matters little because players simply dont see it, never did, or cant remember. actually i believe i checked all forum and here is the only thing i could find about drach cave from mur: "drach cave is closed explicitly, regardless if you have access to it or not." again it says CLOSED not forbidden to enter, offlimits, ect. but i wont explain the meaning of the word closed and its implication again.
so to summarize this whole thing: heavy punishment was delivered to people who had no chance at all of knowing better. on top of that did the only player able to enter the cave and master of the drach lair personally invite them all. he is a trustworthy former rpc.
i believe the punishment is out of place because players involved simply didnt know it was against the rules and in fact NOWHERE in MD does it ever mention that it is against the rules.

i am sorry but neither in the announcements nor in the rules does it say its a crime, offlimits, forbidden to enter, ect as i just prooved above. [b]ACTUALLY IT EVEN SAYS THE CONTRARY IN THE RULES. "YOU ARE FREE TO DO ANYTHING IN THE GAME THAT IS TEHNICALY ALLOWED".[/b] (just a short remark before this is held against me because of possible abuse or whatever: i have the chase spell since almost 2 years i could have chased into the drach lair and recruit drachs several times, i could have even went to angien shrine before it was open. but i never did because it made sense to me that u can recruit crits there that arent supposed to be bought easly.) and once again only the word CLOSED is used even in the forum post from mur. heck every damn shop tells me its closed after the workingshift is over but there are still people inside shopping who get to pay and purchase everything.
PLUS: i have another very good reason and PROOF why this punishment and whole incident has nothing to do with breaking rules, announcements, written laws or even offending anything that was ever mentioned to me or other people. i will not post that openly on forums but once i know who to contact with this i will send it to that/those person/s. i will ask if i am allowed to post that proof here because then the ultimate proof will be served.
what this case is about is a "law" that probably even the MDStaff (in case that staff even exists) never heard before.
SO to finally wrap this up:
if the trial goes in my favor i request that the punishment for all players who i teleported including myself to be undone and no further bad consequences to follow for us. since mur explained to me that prison time is impossible for a king i am willing to keep the kingship penality point which should serve as the punishment that would have been justified - a warning for something i didnt know was against the rules and something that was never anywhere written/declared as crime/offense.
ALSO very important: Seigheart never entered the drach cave and i didnt teleport him! but if i understand the announcement correct he was pardoned anyway. and i cant speak for smartalekrj i believed him when he told me he is allowed to invite as many people inside as he wants. i dont know if he lied or not but RJ if u didnt know it was against the rules please speak up here and explain ur situation.
if this trial is decided against me i will go down fighting for what i believe is right and just. these will then be my last moments as the first king of marind bell and seeker of knowledge lifeline. may my death hopefully at least accomplish that laws/rules get publically and officially posted so that they are well know and nobody else suffers my fate. -
rhaegar please leave this be. its my responsibilty alone and no matter how things may seem it is another kings land and he has every right to enforce laws and rules as he sees fit.
i already informed yrth about what was going through my head at the time i made this mistake. i myself will stand right for this mistake and i kindly ask that nobody reflects it on Marind Bell. it was a decision i myself took and i hope people will allow me to stand straight for it and not involve my citizen. i wont state my reasons openly here but give them to those involved.
but something u guys should know:
° the drachorn recruitment place in the drach lair is disabled.
° the training group was planned for a long time but the location was only picked right before i teleported people there and left myself back to marind bell. i didnt even know RJ was involved until he asked me if i can help him in inviting people inside. in other words the training group originally was never intended to be in golemus. so please leave the fact that it was a training group out of the discussion because it has nothing to do with the problematic situation.
i will discuss everything else with the king of golemus and the leaders. i wish to take the responsiblity for this myself, marind bell or my citizen need not suffer for my mistake. -

i simply get lost on these forums... i only look at on topic, market place and the MB forums. completely confused of what is what here so i focused my attention on the few forums that seem relevant. sorry for that but i prefer to speak and do stuff ingame or messengers. in my whole life i never liked forums so excuse me please. and speaking of ingame i am always at winds sanct if this internet bar here in the USA doesnt log me out right after the time i payed for.

i only read about half of the topic but concerning alt abuses here a suggestion. if it was alrdy made sorry didnt see it.
there is an alt checker in place so i believe the system is able to trace alts automatically more or less. so how about giving the same user on all the alts just 1 single chance to activate the wishpoints. what i mean is he can only activate them on one of his accounts. i know there are problems with the alt checker but i dont know how severe they are and if this would even work. but perhaps its better manually fix some cases where the alt checker is broken then having a huge WP inflaction on alts and stuff -
i have a none aged windy with claw1 and claw2 token. i would like to get a windy without token. depending on age i might add some coins or other crits.

I, Lifeline first king of Marind Bell, hereby officially resign from kingship. I cannot meet the expectations people have. I simply failed and cannot stay king any longer. I will not appoint a new king or ask for one specific person to be considered. I have discussed kingship for Marind Bell in great length with all council members of Marind Bell. I believe they are prepared and I will leave everything in their hands. I hope the other kings will welcome the next king of Marind Bell friendly and cherish the good relationships.
In regards to my character: I have no idea what his future will be or if there even will be any. I failed in kingship and have no hope in succeeding. I am sorry for disappointing those citizen of Marind Bell that want me to stay king but I believe its for the best.
I have handed the full Marind Bell Wishpoint treasury of 100 unused reward codes to the person I trust the most in Marind Bell - Emerald Arcanix. As for the kingship items they are stored on my alt waiting for Mur to take them or the next king...I don't know what else to do with them.
