1. Just gotta scan it in... Edit: Here we go . Added a fibrous texture to the threads, as well.
2. I wonder what lands with no Capital will do?
3. *cough* Its a simple solution: Only consider the loyalty of the people who actually vote? Have a set period of time for voting to occur, with each land loyalty point counting as one vote. At the end of the voting period, the amount of votes determines the outcome. That means that you could have say 10 people with land loyalty 5 vote no, and it would come out as 50 votes no, but one person with land loyalty 80 say vote yes, and then it comes out yes by 30 votes. NOTE: I don't really think that that is fair, and think that the number of people who vote should also play a role, not just land loyalty. For instance, the following:

Each land loyalty point counts for one vote.
Voteing lasts for X number of hours (336, for example, would be two weeks, allowing people to talk to the candidate to find out their reasons and motivations).
When the final tally is calculated, it is multiplied by x/100 (with x being the number of people who voted for that option)
In this model, 10 people with 5 land loyalty each comes to an adjusted voteing weight of 2.5; and one person with land loyalty 80 comes out to an adjusted voteing weight of 0.8. Two people with Land loyalty 80, on the other hand, have an adjusted voteing weight of 3.6. This way, you don't have people who have been in the land for a really long time keeping people out just because they have a grudge, but still allows people who are more familiar and dedicated to a land to keep people from joining for improper reasons. EDIT: Citizenship seems to be a big point of discussion, might be worth moveing the citizenship related posts into a suitable topic...
4. I'm quite happy to add more details if you are happy to wait for them I uploaded it as it is now just in case I manage to stuff it up >.> And don't worry about payment. I don't do art for money, I do it for friends .... So I guess friendship is payment >.>
5. This was quite complicated.... ended up doing a schematic to make sure it all worked correctly, but here it finally is:
6. Hmm? Nah, I've got it working with 8. I just have to alternate the sequence between skipping one corner and skipping two. It's going to be complicated to draw, especially when I get to the inner one, but I'm in the mood for a challenge Might take me a day or two though
7. Yeah, I used 5 because its one of the more common bases for spirographic designs. I'll see what I can do with other numbers, but I get the vague feeling it needs to be an odd number to work.... EDIT: Figured out how to get it to work with 8, but I'm going to need to draw it very large to get it to work.... this is going to take a while
8. Might I suggest looking at Spirographs then? Here is my submission (I have two others, I just like this one best so far) If you like it, I can do more work on the shading and textures/etc, but it is a lot of work so I probably won't bother any time soon if you don't want it. I'm also happy to do more similar works, if you would rather something like it but a bit different. I don't really know why, but I seem to be in a drawing mood today >.>
9. What is the items description text?
10. To address the rules question, from what I have seen both in game and forum, and the wording of the alt rules both old, current, and being discussed, Lord Pip's actions are not alt abuse. If Any of Pip's other accounts join the alliance in the immediate future, barring significant events that involve their characters, that would be alt abuse however. Feel free to take it before the court if you wish, however.
11. As a little bit of additional information.... We do actually know the Aramors first goals. They wish to return themselves to their home, the Aramory. We don't know why beyond it being their proper home. We also know that the Aramors arrived on a ship from the West. If you chart a path from where they landed to the Aramory, it continues to be a line almost directly east (a deviations of 3 or 4 degrees). This indicates that their ONLY goal is to get to the Aramory, at current. And on the Knator Commander front, Abra does have Knator commander. He has been visited, he is kept magically asleep (the aramors fear he may destroy them if he is released, or some other catastrophy). Knator Commander also knows the solution to the Aramors Predicament, according to Abra. Hence why he was chosen to be kidnapped. They had to sedate him because, well, the commander is a beast and a chained beast fights. It is the reason he was so effective AS a commander, as all.
12. Have it as an option in the options menu that is by default off.
13. Assuming the date of the first post in this topic is correct... Happy birthday for tomorrow, Eon.
14. Its actually pretty clear. You can't trade coins between your accounts. Used to be allowed to, but as of those announcements you cant. No item trading of any kind. The interface restricts it. Want to buy coins from the MD shop on your alt? That's fine. But they are your alts, not your main accounts.
15. Have fun moving
16. *coughs into his hand >.>*
17. But then you would just have people always betting on the simple special ones? Since what you win depends on what you pick >.> Why not just make it so that if you get 3 right you get a refund? (with refunds done before any other allocations occur) Oh, and because order isn't important, I'm not sure all those odds are correct. Your calculation doesn't factor in that there are additional roles, and really just seems to find the sample space. I think the correct calculation would be: [(6/n)x(30/{6-n})]/(36/6) Which for 5 numbers in 6 gives a probability of 1 in 6 >.> Which in turn leads me to believe I may have stuffed something up in that calculation, but whatever, the idea is there <.< Especially since I am pretty certain the odds for getting 6 in 6 where correct >.> I've probably just used the wrong number for sample space size, you can figure it out yourselves, I have shopping to do. EDIT: You could always just run it so that...

The player picks their six numbers
Your die roll determines the winners (ie, what you roll is what you get)
You roll multiple times to represent multiple games (much the same way some lottery games give you multiple number picks, to improve your odds)
The more people pay, the more games are valid for them.
ie, someone pays 1 silver, they use the results from the first game. 2 silver, the first 3 games, 3 silver the first 5, etc. Or some other scale of profit progression. This cuts out that weird and confusing rule about the first number in each line picking which number slot wins in the next line >.>
18. I disagree vehemently with Libs definition. If someone in the real world joined an organization with the intent to destroy it, it doesn't matter how long it takes. They could wait 10 days and then make their move, and they would have betrayed the trust of the organization for letting them in. Or, they could wait ten years, building the organization up, helping it to succeed, before finally betraying them. Their actions and intents, the time they spent there, what they where planning all along, they are all immaterial to the argument. If trust was placed in you, and you betrayed that trust, then you are a traitor (or responsibility, faith, etc, whatever you want to call it. It is all still betrayal). The facts are simple: Cots Joined an alliance. Joining an alliance is a matter of trust. He sabotaged the alliance, whether intentionaly or not it doesn't really matter, it is still clear it was his doing, and thus he betrayed that trust. Thus, traitor. If he lied about his reasons for joining, and lied when making his oaths, so what? He is still a traitor, he betrayed their trust that he was being honest. If he was doing it because he is loyal to Pip, and not to Loreroot, so what? He is still a traitor, he betrayed Loreroot and the trust it placed in him. If he was doing it because he didn't know what Pip was planning, and tried to make things right, so what? He is still a traitor, he betrayed Pip, and the faith that he put in him. Cut a slice of bread any way you want, it is still bread. Now personally, I don't care too much. I find this to be a pretty good roleplay event, and like what has happened (even if some language does need to be kept in check). But don't split hairs like that, its just stupid and makes you look stupid.
19. And I chose my own name a very long time ago, long before MD, and only found out last month that it did actually exist, with a similar meaning none the less, already.
20. I personally agree that This matter is not something the council should be involving themselves in, specifically because of the way that announcement is stated. And if it is a council member (singular) acting like this, then that person is not acting as part of the council and should not be useing council abilities, as they are abuseing them. On the OTHER hand... If someone not council related reported the incident to the council, and the council then issued that warning, that is a very different matter. It would fit completely within the guidelines of the announcement (no static official punishment) and be a punishment within the person power to cause. The same could be said for if someone reported it to Mur.
21. I've already created a summary of all the announcements that deal with rules and rule related technical changes, so it would be a fairly quick process to state which ones where currently outdated/irrelevant. Linking would take a long time, yes, although you could do it automatically useing keywords for the most part. Its a big project, but I think the majority of the hard stuff is already done.
22. There are all sorts of ways to filter this sort of thing. For example, you could have the same sort of voting mechanic as was used for Kingship, except instead of having it be global you could have it check citizenship and only show it to people with the correct citizenship. There are already other things that check citizenship, so the code exists. That allows for war discussion in private, while also being semi automated. For declaration of war (and, to be honest, a whole lot of other abilities, including things like dreams), you could have the ability tied to the alliance interface, and only the alliance leader can see it, much like the ability to kick members. That way you could assign certain types of abilities to certain types of alliances, for example give war declaration abilities to military alliances and dream control to RP alliances. You can also make such things consume loyalty to activate for the leader, and for the communal things like a war vote consume loyalty for ignoring the matter for everyone who doesn't participate (obviously that would always require a neutral option). All of this makes alliances more integral to the realm, and it also means that abilities are tied to the realm, not the player. There are plenty of other ways to do such things, to. For example, fight causes. Be creative. Almost anything you could want to suggest is, essentially, possible with the tools already at your disposal (although, obviously, you can't implement them . Just saying you can get more creative in your suggestions )
23.
It took quite some time to think about Knator Commander. He's been trapped for months but you only thought to free him now....why is that?
We have been working for many months to liberate KC. This is just another avenue we are persueing, essentially expanding the brains trust. So no, we have not "only thought to free him now". What we have done is remind people of the situation, and attempt to bring players who may be interested in helping but have not yet had a chance to find out into the project. Its not a bad thing to encourage working to solve a problem as a community.
24. You are supposed to either use research points to unlock a random clue, or write your theories and send them in useing the interface. However, the team that is supposed to review submissions is not active, so the only way to unlock them right now is by spending research points (which just gives you a random one)
25. This would get very complicated if your converstions are taking months to complete, since PM's are automatically deleted after a certain period of time. I also think it is done the way it is for a game reason. While it may seem a little irritating to you, if you want to have incredibly long conversations like that I would encourage you to do so via forum messages instead, where that is already the way it works.
