Does it really matter who the second one is? He did the job Mur asked of him, and didn't do the wrong thing (steal creatures). It wasn't so much him pretending to be Seigheart, it was him responding to Murs request. It is even possible he didn't realize who Mur thought he was, if neither BFH or Mur referred to him as Seigheart (since they didn't organize this as a group, this is likely, since in one-on-one communication it isn't normal to refer to people by name)

Personally, the method that I would like to see to avoid Abuse actually uses the current restriction as its base element. I would like to see the tree give a dialogue when first clicked, saying that the tree has an active days % requirement, and whether or not you meet it (but not necessarily what it is). I would then like it to explain the following based on which applies:

If your account does not meet the active days requirement, then you can still access the tree from this account, however no other accounts flagged a your alt will be able to use the tree this year. (ie "You may still access the tree on this account, however you will not be able to access it on any other accounts until next year")
It your account does meet the requirement, then you can access the tree on this account, as well as any others that also meet the requirement that are flagged as your alt, however none of the accounts that are flagged as your alt and do NOT meet the requirement.
I would then also like it to ask you whether you will proceed, or decline. This solution gives players who have many truly active alts the option to get presents for them all (which is the point of the current check) as well as allowing players who have left for long periods to still be able to join in. It doesn't fix the abuse of people creating alts and keeping them active all year, however this problem is not a new one and is the same as the current abuse. I think that this method is a simple way to make the process more fair, and while it won't reduce abuse it also won't increase it. It will however mean that more real accounts are able to get presents. Obviously dst has an idea to solve this issue, however while I applaud her insight into how to proceed, she has made it obvious she isn't planning on making her solution public in the immediate future. I think a transparent solution would be preferable for the majority of people, hence my suggestion.

I keep passwords on the ones I don't want to see, but don't want to get rid of, and just maintaine them all.

Look on other music hosting wesites, there are plenty. And yes, that has ALWAYS been my favourite song in MD. I used to listen to it for hours at MP3.

If I had to guess, I'd say that it's because they aren't supposed to replace Mur. They are supposed to provide a means for us to get some things done which we can't necessarily do ourselves without having to wait for Mur to do it. There will (sadly) always be things they can't do without talking to Mur. Generally, this would relate to any of the other institutions than have Mur derived Authority within the realm (LHO's (specifically LHO Inquisitor), Kings, etc). In this specific case I would say it is because answering some of the more interesting questions may carry certain unforeseeable-by-the-asker consequences if answered, that run counter to the operating guidelines set by Mur when the council is formed. Could also be part of the reason why the council rotated when it did, I'd be interested to know if the answers where coming from pre- or post-rotation council members. Also +rep to pip for having the audacity to raise that perfectly valid question. Just because a few of us might have a decent theory as to why this is the case, doesn't mean we have any idea what the real reason is. Personally, if that is an answered question it would be one of the ones I would find the most interesting to read the answer to.

The offense is the same, just the punishment and who makes the effort is changed.

While not exactly desirable, there isn't really anything wrong with what he is doing officially. Then again, just because something isn't officially wrong doesn't mean you can't find ways to fight it yourself. If you don't like the situation, then find a way to change it. And Ironically, tools like the needles might actually work (I can think of two scenarios already after just a minutes thought). IaB has little concern for stats though, so you will have to think a little bit If the discussion escalates and the CLC doesn't discuss it before then, or someone asks us to, I will bring it up, but at this moment I don't think there is any point. Seems fairly clear. It is important to note, however, that announcement 1604 does NOT say it is okay to do that. Just that it is both possible, and mean't to be possible. Mur has also announced that both tools to steal things are planned, however getting caught useing them will land you in jail. So tools designed specifically to get the user in trouble are already planned. Just because you can do something, and should be able to do something, doesn't mean you can get away with it.

This topic just became a Giant troll, thanks to Announcement 2131. I very much look forward to hearing the Councils decisions to the popular questions expressed here.

You know you've been on MD too much when...
Kyphis the Bard replied to Yami no Sakura's topic in Offtopic
When you upgrade your computer to handle Skyrim on full graphics, then spend more time on MD instead >.> (true story, haven't even started playing Skyrim on this computer yet... So I really don't get all the arrow jokes...) -
Not all creatures need to be suitable for all circumstances. You wouldn't send a Hollow Warrior against a Drachorn and expect to win normally. The Joker had a lot of potential during the last BHC, at any rate. It mostly comes down to how you use your creatures vs how the other person uses theirs.

If it has to be in a shop, then the spent credits is far better than the regular shop. That said, I would much rather you put a B/W version in the spent credits shop and leave the current version as is. I would also encourage making the B/W version have a Fixed evolution, as opposed to the 12 variations it currently has, and make it so that the B/W versions fixed evolution is not the same as any of the 12 already existing ones.

I think its a daft and unfair rule, since the people most likely to see the sort of things that would get you nominated are people of your own land. It is also an unfair restriction, as people without a land affiliation are still able to nominate each other. The lands all also have different sizes of population. I don't think it makes any sense to differentiate between lands during the nominations phase. I do think there may potentially be merit for taking it into consideration during the voting stage, however during nominations its just silly and ill thought out. As has been pointed out over and over, there are far too many things such a rule doesn't take into consideration.
Also you should reconsider the term Newbie/ Newb as it is considered by gamers to be an insult.
As Chewett outlined, there is actually a difference between "newb" (or newbie) and "noob" (or n00b). A newb is generally a new player, admitting they are new and requiring further guidance. A noob is not necessarily new, but normally is, and generally boasts about being able to do things they can't, offends people, and blames their own lack of skill/knowledge on other sources (lag, etc) rather than admit their own shortcomings. Hence, calling someone a noob is actually insulting, while saying someone is a newbie isn't. It is both possible, and common, for a noob to also be a newbie, although it is not required. A good example of a classic noob is Dermott Fictel from "The Venture Bros" *Ahem* And with that, I have gone well and truly offtopic, so I shall stop here >.>

No offense meant at Phantom Orchids , however I find the rewards the TK's have offered for her quest, considering the relative (emphasise on relative) simplicity of the quest, to be incredibly excessive. Some of MD's most valuable assets do not deserve to be offered for the Dream Quest Part 2. While it does require extensive knowledge to have any chance of winning first place, the simplicity that most entries are capable of being while still being good make it, to me at least, unworth of such incredible prizes as Morphs, Wishpoints, and "Any shop creature, limited edition or otherwise" (which, fyi, far as I hear means that it includes Morphs since you could for a short period get them in the shop. Might be wrong on that though, and I doubt Seigheart would honor it even if I am right)

This is not a complaint. I am just stating this hear because I believe in free sharing of data. This situation was handled well in the end, although it did have its problems and I wish to help highlight them. Seigheart informed me that Mur had a reward for me, so at the earliest oportunity I asked Mur. He told me to talk to seigheart since, that is what the TK are for. When I talked to Seigheart, he told me what the reward was and basically just said "oh well". Shortly after that the new contact email for the TK was created, so I immediately issued a request there. I did not recieve a reply. After two weeks of waiting, I sent another inquiry. This time Mur replied and we organized things so that I could get the reward. The reward in question was an item, and it needed to first be created before it could be given to me. While Seighearts tone was not pleasant, nor was it rude. He is not at fault here because it was not possible for him to reward the item in question. The situation here is a communication error, and better organization on Murs part to make sure the TK have all the tools to perform their job. The wait period on replies to a dedicated email address was also longer than it probably should have been. These are all organizational errors, and no single persons fault. If the TK are to continue, it requires a lot of work before it is capable of being effective largely independent of Mur (which is the point, as far as I can tell)

No objection, I prefer that it be that way and have always done. Although, this should really be in the discussion topic, rather than here >.>

Currently, with the amount of casts I have at my disposal, I frequently run the risk of not being able to take logs of community events. I would appreciate if someone would be able to provide me with a supply of memory stones to enchant with my accoustic remains spell for personal use, so that should I ever find myself short of casts I have an emergency supply. I do not have much that I can offer in exchange, however I do have a few spells I can happily enchant for anyone willing to help me in this manner. I would be more than happy to turn a fair portion of the donated memory stones into spell stones for them to do with as they wish, if necessary. I have silvertongue, locate, givevital, and movelock spells that I can enchant to memory stones. Please PM me if you are willing to provide me with some assistance in this matter.

I will be able to help with taking logs of the Carols and Stories, however I obviously won't be able to take logs of the other events There are also only so many logs I can take, due to spell cast limitations.

Post has been edited (internet is finaly letting me, although bound to cut out again...) And almost all my nominations are MDA people, but that is who I feel deserve the awards so I am not changing them.
