1. Do you know who else is on the council, or are you unaware of each others identities?
  2. How many of you are there?
  3. Do you all play MD, or do you/some of you provide an opinion based on not knowing socialy the parties involved in the cases you deal with?
  4.
Tainted Warrior is one of the oldest illusions Loreroot Soldier is currently being worked on, with some rather large bugs atm, and again is one of the oldest illusions just having a facelift.
Interesting, none of the times I have had access to Illusions have I ever seen those two, far as I can recall... Ah well, the fact that they are old doesn't really change that I think they should disguise that information as well. Although, that they might be implimented in a way other than Illusions does affect that. Same gist though.
  5. Mainly talking about the newer ones, such as Tainted Warrior and Loreroot Soldier, both of which are clearly meant to hide the players identity. And yes, Chewett, I have used Illusions. Several times. Not all illusions are for hiding (or even faintly related to it) but the newer ones do appear to be supposed to mask who the person is.

With all the illusions being tested (again) there are a few things that Illusions don't address that they probably should, because these things give away the players real identity.

Medals
Papers
PL
Active Days
Friends Count
Loyalty
Land Loyalty
Honor
"Adept of" Status
Country Flag
It's possible to have a bit of fun with some of these options, for example you could change an illusions flag to be related to whatever land it is related to, for the new alliance specific ones.
  7. ~10 hours to go.
  8. Most likely while you where Idle so you couldn't give yourself away.
  9. Woot for swift replies this time! The general consensus is that it isn't spoiler. Since all the information is fairly easily available (through first hand examination as well as other methods), and without having fought the shades at least once (thus doing the minimal work for the data) the information won't make sense, as you wouldn't have ever been in combat, there is virtually no ability for it to be a spoiler. Although, as usual, since the data is still technically spoiler, the usual rules of not posting it publicly do still apply.
  10. I'll help with taking a log. I do have a friends birthday to attend, however with the way the spell works and the number of casts I have left it won't be an issue for me to get the whole day. EDIT: Log was sent yesterday.
  11. #47 Ebb and flow, I reach through Caressing gently as I destroy My will is unyielding, in the eternal task of creation Patterns emerge, then submerge once more Raw force, elegant design My children come to me, let none forget In the depths of the land, and its highest places, I breath
  12. Having the Wiiya in your inventory is the input. They consume it by themselves, just like Elu's and candy.
  13. Hold off on sending those logs just yet, the CLC is discussing whether or not NPC logs are spoiler or not (since the fights are basically set as to how they go, as opposed to PVP logs which are dynamic) Should have an answer by Monday at the latest.

  15. Wow.... kind of not impressed when the first thing I see is a top 10 list already populated, but no votes cast... Especially considering what games where in there... (If you saw it, you probably know why I'm offended. If not, I'm not telling)
  16.
Comments: 1. I think that the organizers should not be able to be voted for. It seems to have caused some uncertainties in the past - and certainly since we see precisely who people vote for, there may be some influence to vote towards the people who see whether or not you're being loyal. This, to me, causes a skew in the votes away from the actual winners. I, as an organizer last year and a hopeful organizer for this year, think that we/they should be disqualified from winning. 2. I think the uniform number per category should be 4 or 5. 3. I think this year we shouldn't use the votepower that we used last year. It gave some depth to the voting, but still again introduced unnecessary skew. I think the best formula would give you power equal to the number of days out of the last year you were active. Aka: if a person logs on for 365 days out of 365 they get 365/365 = 1. If they log on for 100 days they get 100/365 vote power. Since this ceremony is supposed to award based on the last year of activity, it doesn't make sense to award those who have been active for two or more years. 4. I think that there can be repeat winners, same as last year. 5. Not sure about the Land votes... Awi
Agree to points 1 and 3 I am interested to know how you are going to calculate the vote power, or is this going to be calculated by the system useing the formulae you devise? (as I said, I like Awiiya's suggestion) On point four, I would like to submit an addendum: Past winners are permitted to win, however if there are too many legitimate entrants to a category whoever won the most recently is the first candidate removed, before community opinion is considered. On point five, I don't entirely see why it matters what land you are from. I prefer to assume that people will be mature enough to vote based on who they genuinely believe deserves to win, rather than who they like best. [sub][sup]Yes, I enjoy my naivety[/sup][/sub]
  17. There where actually a huge amount of things that people, not just the kings, could have done. The recent events with the needle have shown that. Even without the needle, there are still plenty of ways this "issue" could have been dealt with. I'm sorry, I support Mur here. The kings could have taken action here, however they didn't. This doesn't mean that they failed though, it just means they, and their citizens, didn't think of this solution themselves. Personally, I don't think this even needed the kings to take action. It wouldn't have hurt, but it wasn't necessary. [sub][sup]Then again, personally, I don't see Eon as a problem anyway >.>[/sup][/sub]
  18.
@kyph.. for now people have a problem using the needle , so countering it is not needed for now. However, anything is possible if later on it will be needed.
Good
  19. I believe that was actually discussed many times, however the guidelines you gave them mean't they had the impression that they where not supposed to. Discussion I started back when this all got started here The rules you gave the kings was posted here by yrthilian Any you also replied here re-inforcing the rules again. I'm sorry, but I think you are being unfair since the public opinion you helped to create is that they where definitely not supposed to do that. The problem you have here is that new and shy players are generally not going to apply for citizenship. [sup][sub]This discussion goes completely out the window once the players are actually citizens, though >.>[/sub][/sup]
  20. I'm curiouse... is it possible to fight for the cause of NEGATING the needles? Obviously, you wouldn't want fights from the needles target to be counted, only fights from another mob against people fighting for the cause of empowering the needle...
  21.
xrieg, I have been playing MD for almost 3 years now, and I have to say that I do not agree with one thing that you say in your post. That might be your experience, but it is not mine - and I do not appreciate you making blanket statements about MD like that because by doing that you are speaking for others who may or may not share that same experience. And a million gold coins of free advice ... do not push a demi-god into a corner by telling him to 'make up his mind.' He will bite. Hard. Really, what it all comes down to is the question we must ask ourselves - what are *we* doing/can do to make things better? The realm spins because of its inhabitants. It only stops for those blinded for lack of imagination.
I agree with you completely, Poe. Xreig, your experiences may just be expressing your own, but as one of those Older players that you say the majority are complaining about the creativity in MD? I have to disagree I see HEAPS of creativity in MD. I do see some of your points, but that is only on very short basis'. I'm been here for just over 3 years, and I have seen PLENTY of months with low effort quests, but way more months I see interesting quests. The more work Mur is doing, the more new features he makes in a short period, the lower the average quest effort seems to become. Poe, you hit on one of my all time favourite things about MD. You push Mur into a corner, and you give him what you see as the extreme cases as his "only" options? He is going to pick an option that is still on the same spectrum, but it will be so incredibly extreme that you won't see it as the same spectrum... My biggest annoyance in MD is that when you put Mur in that situation in a position where he can reward you, and he does, it doesn't take long for people to forget the awesome thing he just did for you and go back to complaining. Anywho... I'm rambling and not in the right frame of mind for this right now, too much going on in the background right now... I've said my piece for now...
