    Nava, the last sentence in your second paragraph doesn't make any sense. The word darkness is vague, and from the way you used it, I could only think of the Jungian 'shadow' archetype when talking about accepting/supporting that side of our nature, but that's the stuff of depth psychology. However, the first paragraph makes sense. Is it only freedom if it's conscious? It certainly feels like it, but to be honest, I don't have an answer for this because whether we are or not, we cannot say that it isn't influenced by the subconscious or any other events that takes place in our brain.

    Imagine these two scenarios Fang;

    1. You get out to get to school so you get good grades, work at a financially and intellectually rewarding job so you can live a good life by our society's standards.

    2. You get out to get to school so you get good grades, but your friend Alex stopped you and asked you to hit some blunt because it's 4:20pm and it's also legal now in Canada, you then hit some, got late for school but promised to make up for it, which you did, so you can live a good life in the future by our society's standards. 

    What is the difference between these two scenarios? Nothing. You're still in your path because you decided to follow it. Why did you follow it when you can choose not to? It sure feels like you're free, yes?

    This is what's wrong with compatibilism, it solves the problem of free will by ignoring it. A puppet is free as long as it loves its strings.

    You cannot say that the subconscious or the unconscious is besides the point when they are exactly the origin of our choices/intentions. We cannot be conscious of an intent if it doesn't arise in our minds first.

    After reading Robert Sapolsky's book 'Behave' and various other articles about the topic of human nature, I find myself torn between two contesting questions; are we the agent of our own actions? Or are our decisions just mere products of our own chemical processes? Is free will an illusion? 

    If I decide to slap my wrist to prove that it was my choice to do so, am I really the author of that decision and not influenced by synapses triggered in my brain (e.g. proving myself that I have free will)? If you decide to have coffee this morning instead of tea, what made you choose coffee when you can freely switch to tea anytime you want? Did Charles Whitman shot and killed 16 people out of his own volition and not because of a tumor pressing on his amygdala?

    I saw nothing about this subject on here and I want to know what your thoughts about this topic are. I also want to avoid philosophical/scientific jargon so it can be better understood by readers so as to not be confused, although the nature of this topic is naturally confusing.

    Junior, I don't think someone is interested about your equational mindblasting post, we talk English here not numbers, we're not as smart as you. Anyways you can't find out if the Earth is flat or not unless you find it out yourself, these "solid" proof uses common sense, if it makes sense then it must be true, if not then it must be a conspiracy built for the shadow government Area 51 and Kim Jong Un is secretly a monitor lizard. Anyone seen the Vsauce explanation for this? #TrustMichael

    This made me open my mind if anything else in the galaxy is flat, because why not? We don't have solid evidence that they aren't. So here's another theory:

    Take a look at the UN's logo, that's how the real map of the earth looks like for flat-earthers. I also read from somewhere that both the North and South Poles is guarded by the military and cannot be accessed, they say the North Pole is projecting this Sun and Moon illusion, for what? I don't get why these people would lie to the public, seems like a lot of work for me.

    My best guess is ancient aliens bruh, they was ancient aliens reptilian grey illuminati Zionists who wants to enslave mankind using the central banks and petrodollars.

    There is no time wasted when you yourself experienced it first hand and enjoyed every bit of it, there are ups and downs in life in which lessons are learned, we may have chosen the wrong path but as soon as we realized that it is not the one that we wanted, we tend to correct it in some ways. Starting over won't solve a thing about you, Change, and I see your reasons being very shallow. I understand that you want everything to fall into place just as you're expecting them to be, but how is it going to happen if you know deep inside that you are going to make mistakes in your choices and decisions in whatever you do in the future? It will happen over and over again, and you need to accept that.

    You have made your choices, you stick to them. When you were a kid and you tripped over a stupid rock and had wounds, did you ask God to press the reset button of your life? When you had that bad relationship, did you give up and killed yourself? Ofcourse not, you accepted it and hoped for the best in the future. The same thing happens in every aspect of life, a wrong decision and mistakes is part of it, you need not to worry because everything will fall into place just as you are expecting them to be, given that you do not give up and just be yourself. Continue to grow, revel in your achievements no matter how small they are, use your experience and choices to better yourself and that is when true Change will be unearthed.

    Now back to MD perspective. I myself have done this many times and all of the attempts were done in such a bad way, the reason being is to try and create a character to experience another phase of existence. I have tried to create alts after alts to express the different sides of me, but I arrived at one character and stuck to it; Lazarus. I haven't done anything in the past 5 years until I realized my character's true calling; not to annoy people, but to achieve something significant in the realm in which my people shall benefit. I tried comparing myself to others and it did nothing good for me, it made me jealous and envious about other people's achievements as well, so I Changed that, I tried to focus on my character and slowly, all the negative feelings faded. If the only reason of your existence in MD is to be on AL, perfectly chosen principles, name Change and AD's then you are thinking short, you should find a greater purpose that will fit you.

    Remember, you gave a piece, or your whole self in MD and you should use it in a honest and positive way that can make a difference for both the realm and yourself. Discover, make an expedition on your self, rise, and live. This is the Change that you should be looking for, not the change that people expect from you.
