1. darkraptor's submission describes an irregular vernier shift
2. I use Android 2.3.5 on my HTC Wildfire S. If I can really be bothered with trying to use MD on my phone, then I can just about: chat, send PMs, all right sidebar stuff, read announcements, and view papers of those in current scene. What I cannot do is fight, move, read the story, any left sidebar stuff, cast some spells, use some items, hear anything or edit papers. Essentially, I can do everything that the current mobile version can and not much more. The user interface on a mobile however is outlandish and too detailed. It requires a lot of zooming in and out, vertical and horizontal scrolling and I'm plagued by AJAX errors, not to mention it's incredibly slow. Flash rarely works on my phone and popups don't work either. I don't recommend creating 'apps' as such as this would require porting to multiple different OSs, but rather to redevelop the mobile version of MD to make it more mobile friendly.
3. How about this? Combined "Quests" and "Challenges" Pages. Work on Sidebar
4. Perhaps if the combat system needs to be scrapped and reinvented to fit the original vision, it could be implemented for MP6+ only with everyone else with the current combat system. This will give a chance for players on the brink of MP6 to try it out and if they don't like it drop back down. This would allow those who work hard to gain their stats have a better idea of the original vision. If a consensus is reached that the original vision was better than current, it could be rolled out globally.
5. I quite like Fryd's idea with an amendment, that as the spirit is away from their body, the player should slowly loose principle points and personal heat tolerance (maybe stat loss as well). When the player has reached 0 principle points in a particular principle and the heat cap for a lower MP level than their current, the player could have the option to drop to that MP level by sacrificing something of value (WP, 20GC, a level 5+ creature or large stat loss; more for greater drop in MP). This would allow MP levels to become more dynamic, without the problems of a character having too much heat for that MP level or too many principles. It would also allow MP2 to be reached once more. I am not sure whether MP1 or MP0 are to fit in, whether the player should be able to reach them at all. This idea will probably have to be rethought when MP6 is redeveloped and if MPs7-9 are ever to come into play (again). When a player, after dropping MP, reaches the max heat tolerance, they should be able to jump back up one level with (one) principle they lost being reinstated as 0.
6. When we use tools, we get specific stats related to the tools use, but what is the point of these stats except for boasting about with screen-shots. We need a benefit of gaining these tool related stats and incentives to become more skilled in them.
7. I'm still stuck at 7_deathwhisper40_1 The Warrior ID: 111191
8. If this get's implemented you'd only need mds_is_atc() and you've got them all.
9. I highly doubt this idea will ever get implemented as is, because it goes against the cumulative nature of resourses and if you can drink water to gain AP why make tea?
10. I'm not sure if it would work, but to try to counter the questionable legality of having these illegal items in game, once discovered, greater punishments could be issued against things that are more illegal in rl. Therefore, MD would only be able to be accused or reflecting rl.
11. I like the idea, and personally I feel like the risk of bugs is a very weak argument. It's like saying, I'm think I'll bake a cake. But no, it might not rise properly, therefore I won't try to bake a cake (terrible analogy but gets the point across). Implementing new features, finding bugs and fixing them is the general way MD develops and to argue against creating new features on the basis of bugs being made would completely stall the development of MD. Now my contribution to the idea: Rather than have a timeout in an attempt to prevent abuse. Have it so that when the leader declares war, they have to submit a "aim of war" statement to be approved after the war (no matter what the outcome). If after the war, the 'aim' is not deemed correct or befitting by a war counsel (made of those who contributed most to the war effort of either side) the declaring party could be target for land-based sanctioning. However all of this would require immense coding. It's how I see MD wars working optimally. I don't know what is already available in the game mechanics to facilitate this, but reading that which Yrthilian has posted above, it makes me feel this is a very possible feature to implement where the system controls all the statistics and mechanics and community control the effort and spoils.
12. All combinations should eventually be possible it would just take some failed attempts in order to shift the next number for a particular button.
13. Why not, instead of different pages for different transfers (creature, item, avatar, etc.), have a single page with one box for transfer code that covers all trading. It would be able to work out what's being traded by the CTC/ITC/ATC at the beginning and transfer the right thing respectively. The link to this one page could be put on the creatures page, the avatar vault page, the inventory sidebar and elsewhere.
14. 106) Some of these conspiracy theories are true.
15. I didn't get anything from santa. I was at GoE when santa was there, albeit for a short period of time due to pressing events in RL. Can I get a present now?
16. If auction is continuing, I bid 10SC for Marksmen.
17. Do the new abilities remain at level 3 grasan?
18. So that's what a Mur is!
19. Perhaps, rather than jump to PC. It's relevant to homeland. No Homeland: Paper Cabin Established Housings: Path of Loneliness Marind Bell: Willow's Shop Loreroot: Oak Fort Golemus Golemicarum: Kelle'tha's Cannon Necrovion: Accursed Growth Underground: Underway Crosspaths Magic Duel Archives: Gazeebo of Silence Labyrinth: 6_-3x-3_1 Tribunal: Melody Staircase Just some suggestions, tried to keep locations as places that cannot already be teleported to (to my knowledge), that would be useful to people with roles around the land. In the case of Labyrinth, the amount of AP required to get from 6_-3x-3_1 to both the start and finish of the maze is equal (discounting viscosity). Not sure if that's a spoiler or not.
20. It wasn't photoshoped, nor any other image editing. The image was taken straight out of the browser like that. Yes, I cheated; but I cheated well.
