  1. I believe this to be one of the 'not really interested, if it is implemented, I'll check it out' ideas. Then, in order to have some meat on the bones, if you are slightly in favor for something like this, please write here what kind of effect you'd like to see in the selected scene. Would you like the scene to get some music just for the event, or maybe some spell to be activated on all participants, maybe it could snow etc

Ho ho ho, I am pleased. btw, I have received an entry already...seems to be correct.
  3. I think I've heard this idea before...I begin to see cycles in MD anyways, this was about a party more than an announcement for all to see
  4. I'll just write why I think this is great to have in MD - it's because it goes along the idea of achievements. While those are some shiny things to unlock and have on your page, an ascension ceremony/party would be a lively thing. People would come and send a congrats or state the obvious 'aha, a new target'. Basically, the coding part shouldn't be too hard - it's just about a hidden clickable that depicts some decorations, becoming visible when activated by an mp3/mp4/mp5 close to cap.

Ugh...I just posted it to destroy your eyes, really... but ok, 10sc to each of the first 3 who draw the correct solutions (basically, you open the .png in paint or whatever and draw with a red line the correct path). Send them to me by PM so you can't copy others. Edit: deadline is today at midnight

Certainly not as cool as the MD labyrinth, but entertaining nonetheless.
  7. What is the GWI explanation? (my visits there were very brief and non-exploratory)
  8. Does heat exist everywhere? If so, what can we identify it by (traces, indicators)? Briskness is a personal trait; that it doesn't increase the amount of heat you generate in the 'outland' means the outland is preventing this trait from showing up. What does briskness depend on location and not, say, other personal traits? I don't know how they're affected. We should ask them. Well, as a mechanic in MD, heat is gained, then lost, so not simultaneously. Is it outright stopped? The way I see it, if you suddenly lose heat outside your homeland, it's not that your actions are not producing heat, but it serves as a reminder you're not home. It's not that one action generates heat and the exact same one doesn't anymore because of the location. They both generate same amount of heat, but there's a difference in...perception? You perceive the outside as ''outside'', dangerous, different, unordered and the drop in heat reflects the change of perspective. This is the best explanation I can go by right now. What separates the neutral land from non-neutral land is the involvement in the conflict. If we are not satisfied that heat is lost irrespective of this involvement, we can lower the numbers of heat lost for neutral lands. This boils down to whether you want to see the world in 'my home' vs 'everyone else' or 'my home' vs 'my enemy' vs 'people that can be swayed to one side or another'.
  9. If you put it this way, then this mechanism about heat is hiding a meaning for what homeland means compared to other lands (neutral or enemy)
  10. But why do you consider heat as something 'to gain'? It's not something you gain, it's something you lose. Yes, it can be stored, but it's the energy you give away, mostly.
  11. Ooh, just today I was thinking about heat and how it is indicated in the realm! We should have a lengthy discussion about this in-game; for now, the question of getting heat in your own homeland relates to...stirred emotions? Do you get warmer as you cruise through the known scenery that you call 'home', and colder at the sight of 'the outside', irrespective of it being enemy land or neutral land?
  12. I think they're still usable in scenes such as the ones in Labyrinth, right? Either way, I think they can be useful to some
  13. I'd like sendtogoe or lockinchaos stones, so I can get people out of situations.
  14. I'll post a couple of these, since I'm in the mood and it takes 10 mins for one; they're all in ink (and that is a phone camera h3h3, so the quality is not that great).
  15. The solutions are quite similar, and it's good to see you took the simple approach to this (albeit in some cases, a bit too destructive?). The results will be out soon.
  16. I will post the other two entries, as the quest has now ended. The other one is:
  17. epic (eggs are great, but they can't be abused)
  18. I...tried. And failed. So all I can show you is a representation of me for the first time in the Labyrinth (many ages ago:
  19. On Day 3, I managed to somehow reach the Park and actually see people talking. Previously, I had received a message from Mya Celestia and a gift from Mallos, but I never replied to them (I was unsure of what this game is, of what I can/have to do). Those people were 2 MP3s by the name of Asthir and Justin Case. As I approached them and got to talk eventually about entropy and balance (I couldn't help but ask about the principles), I realized two things: this is actually quite fun my chose name was utterly useless. I still thought there might be a possibility of playing a merchant. It was day 3, after all.

  21. Let me end the debate with the following solution: The Knight of the Bell - a symbol of strength in mind and body - was not going to be outwitted by a mouse. His adversary was nothing; yet a challenge could not be refused. Not wanting to lose precious time, he decided to end it in one swift move. He dismounted and unfolded his armor, revealing a secret weapon (!) - which blinked repeatedly and then purred. ''No need to run anywhere'', he sat down in the grass, lighting up a cigarette.
  22. I for one have participated in a few interesting quests, but I've forgotten the details of such. I am not against the idea of bringing back old quests, merely pointing out some difficulties. Well, if you want to go on with this idea, the first steps would be compiling a list with memorable quests (forum links would help in finding them out in the db) and requesting access. This is potentially long and sweaty work, but it can start with small steps, to see if it's worth it.
  23. *I think we can all agree on that one but there are some plans for it, I think Chewett mentioned those in a forum post I can't find *not sure who has access to RPCQ content; the thought of bringing old quests back is making me ask some questions: ''A25 is given priority now, but considering the burden clickables, triggers etc put on the server, they should be reserved for more important quests, right? so RPCQ-based quests should be live'' ''old quests allude to another MD, of a different reality - how do you choose what to keep and what to discard? by historical value, creativity, complexity or...?''
  24. I will not stand idle while my brothers suffer! Now, I'm not a particularly skilled cook, so I can't do anything fancy, but how about I show you a way of cooking meat? (sry, I couldn't do it MD-themed) What you need is: a pan frying oil meat an onion/garlic tomato sauce salt&pepper You start off by grabbing a nice piece of (pork) meat and cut it like so: Sprinkle some salt and pepper and let it sink in while you are finely chopping the onion or garlic cloves. Heat the oil, drop the onion/garlic and let it sink in for 20 secs, then drop the meat in the pan. Stir a couple of times in the first 4-5 minutes, adding more salt and pepper. Once done, cover with lid and let it boil/fry for about 15 minutes. Come back and assess the situation. If you appreciate it would only need 5-10 minutes to be done, it's time to drop the secret ingredient: Mix it well (uniformly) with the meat; it will give it a nice orange hue and add some sourness to the taste (not too much, though). You don't need to put much of the dry tomato sauce. You then let it fry in that until it's ready. Add more spices, if you want to (for example, I add more garlic - this time it will only get steamed a little under the lid). The end result is something like this: I know what some of you might be saying - this is just a cheap beginning-of-a-sauce. It's not a sauce, and it's not trying to be one. A sauce is much richer and tastier; this is a way of cooking meat that I'd call a 'diet' way. First off, you can really watch how much meat you are eating this way; and since it's not particularly tasty, you won't crave for more. I also found it to be useful as a 'filler' in all kinds of food combinations - just add a bit of proteins to whatever you have. You've got staple cereals - no problem; just salad? - no problem; mushrooms or beans? - goes well with it. If you like how that sounds, you can give it a try. Enjoy!
  25. Yes, you can try to define what a Minotaur represents, if you think you are able to. I don't think you can without having it, or knowing about levels and particularities, but you can try.
