  1. *cheers for Jubba*
  2. It sounds good to me (provided there's enough server memory)
  3. Now, if I were an outsider, I'd say Aia is getting 'inside' tips, as she didn't miss a beat. But I am the House, so I know for a fact I wanted you guys to score as little as possible... 7+4=11 for Aia, 2-4=0 for Nepgear (sorry, Nep). 11+6=17 for dst (another scorer), 8+2=10 for Ledah (I put full points because it doesn't change the position, and it is obvious Ledah wasn't paying attention that he can't have one false and one true). Ok, tomorrow I'll place the cards of the final round, as this has dragged long enough, and we'll have your bets.
  4. Nope. Ok, you know what type the next two cards are. Here are the new rules: players can ask for their points to be doubled (if they accept this gamble), be it plus or minus. Gamblers can also ask for an increase, but it's three-fold; they must gamble on one player only (it can be the same player, as before), with true/false. So, for players, getting both correct answers without the increase is worth 2 points, and 4 if they accept the gamble; both wrong - it's -2 or -4. For gamblers, it's +6/-6 with the increase, 2/-2 without. Once this phase is done, we go to final round.
  5. So...Aia adds another 4 points, reaching 7. Nepgear adds 2 points, reaching 2. Dst adds 8 points, reaching 11, while Ledah adds 8 points, reaching 8.
  6. giving this lonely thread some love
  7. And here's a little sequel to that, because you might be interested:
  8. This time, nothing changes for the players, but the gamblers have to gamble on every choice of both players (so it's 8 total for gamblers). For all answers, choose true/false, as you believe it to be. Oh, and I forgot to say this, but you cannot have 0 points if you want to get a prize. Even if it's just the four of you and we have rewards for four people. (a quick edit, just to be on the same page: if you say Aia got it wrong and she did get it wrong, you score a point as a gambler; I hope you didn't misunderstand that)
  9. Let me post the cards and calculate the scores so far: Therefore, Aia and dst get full scores (3 pts), while Nep and Ledah get 0 pts (first mistake is pardoned, then you have +1 and -1). Let us give our gamblers more chances to score points (or lose).
  10. It's ok, take care of yourself, Nep. Now, dst and Ledah have to redo their gambles, like this ( I didn't explain the rules well enough?): You have to choose one player (you can both choose the same, no issues) and gamble on their choices; it should look like this: (name) 1 - wrong/false 2 - wrong/false 3 - right/true
  11. Erm, it's done. I thought it'd be a long read, but since I didn't actually bother to check the number of words...Anyway, it has been interesting and I think there's no reason to not post the transcript of the 'reading evening'.
  12. Nep, Aia, would you submit your guesses?
  13. For a week or so, I will read a Necronomicon spellbook I downloaded from the appstore (it was by accident, I was looking for books; I am a sucker for artwork and this one had cool screenshots) inside Necrovion. A jumplink will be created to a nice quiet place. I'll start it this evening. This is not a quest, so there are no rewards or anything, it is just me reading from it (I've never read such a thing, it should be interesting) and, in case there are people around that are interested, sharing opinions and discussing.
  14. Due to… circumstances, we'll have this on forum, if you're willing to participate in this way. Aia and Nepgear would be players and Le Dah and dst - gamblers. First three cards; players guess for each whether it is bird, plant or bug, gamblers choose one player (can be the same) and gamble on their answer. 1 point for correct guess, -1 for a mistake, first card pardons mistakes: People can still enter the play, within 8 hrs from now.
  15. Ok, soon we'll start. I'll be at MDP, but we'll choose a suitable location afterwards (if that one is no good). (btw, whoever else is free and willing can participate)
  16. Meh...no inspiration. When the Paper Cabin popped up, I thought this was an adventure game and I clicked scrolls and the ink bottle to find clues or items. I also thought it might be a hidden object game, but...it's all hidden in plain sight in MD... The light from the window gave it a very warm feeling, I think this scene encapsulates the essence of old-style adventure. Pencil drawing, old books, warm light, a stylish desk...it's pretty much the haven of a reader of adventure. (I read a lot of genres, and each creates a certain vibe in your head; the adventure books gave me *this* kind of vibe) However, as soon as I went up and used 80 AP (out of 100) and there was no way to go down (except waiting for half an hour) and there was nothing to do in the damn scene, I cursed the game and the developer.
  17. There are enough players! This could be all done on the forum, but it would be nicer to do the choices in-game (cards will be posted here). How about tomorrow at 8 pm server time? Or you guys suggest a time.
  18. Alright, let's see how this will work out. The rules are such: round 1 - you have 9 cards, 3 holding a bird, 3 holding an insect, 3 a plant. You will have to guess for each card what it holds; each correct guess gives you 1 point, each mistake takes out 1 point (except first round). This is the job of the 'players'. The 'gamblers', on the other hand, will gamble whether a player (their choice) gets it right or wrong, getting 1 point for a correct guess and losing 1 point for a mistake. The rewards are 1 anniv for each top player and gambler (and 5 sc for second places), We need at least 2 and 2 to start the game. Just post here your names if you want to play. The cards look like this:
  19. Since MD has grown yet again, I think it's appropriate to sing a birthday song, right? So go and write one, then post it here! First place will get 10 sc and all other songs that hit the bar get 5 sc. Deadline: end of anniversary. I myself will present a humble song composed on a sunny day, since it has a nice ring to it :
  20. I'll quote from ann. 4626: There is a feature that i wanted to add for many years, but i waited for artworks and never managed to get/do some that i liked. The weirdest things bug me - and that glowing thing with letters in it that stays between 'boxes' does. Let's design something that Mur will (hopefully) like and put in the interface. There are no rewards for this, I have not been asked to do this and chances are we'll fail. However, it's your chance to design an interface thingie. Here's my idea:
  21. I will release it this Sunday, but I need a collaborator - a neutral party that sees the cards and confirms everything is fair and square. You don't have to do anything. Message me or post here your name if you want to help me.
  22. Best of luck to you as well, ChaosWord. where have they gone, indeed...
