There are different quests Ailith. No every quest is prone to teleporting spells. I am just trying to say that if you know beforehands that your quest is vulnerable in this point, it is YOUR responsibility as a questor to take care, that it can be countered. If you make puzzles in quests that can be easily resolved through google - it is a bad organization imo, because if was up to you to take care that the answers arent to be found easily (unless it is intended). If you organize quest in the deep East it is YOUR responsibility to think how noobs get there and come back, if you organize quest in Necro it is YOUR responsibility to think what happens if people stuck at ToA, because YOU choose the place and you make the quest as it is. Remember last Nimrodels quest? People had to travel different lands there...she took care that all people could get there...different means - pickles, spells, portal etc. What means are used to protecting your quest from failure - player means, admin means, coder means...how does it matter? Depends on what you can get. I have never heard anyone refused to "protect" the quest if they could and thought the quest was nice (correct me here if I am wrong). I totally agree with dst that people can use their spells as they want, if those spells were earned otherwise you should be a dictator and punish everyone for everything. And in this case Eon and dst did something in game that coincides their role in this game and I would not expect anything else from them. Constantly looking fault on somebody else and not in you is a sign of immaturity. ***** EDIT: just saw DDs post. Well, it is something different if you were EXPLICITLY told NOT TO ask for help beforehands. If its the case, my words do not apply to that quest.

just a short note to Ailith and Aeo. Silvertongue is easy to ignore, teleporting spells are easily countered with Jump to Labby link. Cmon guys. To every action there is a counteraction. Sometimes it requires more thought or change of initial plan.

This solution doesnt look like a social solution proposed by the council, but rather a forced one. I take it as a lack of faith in the community as such. DD could get Chew's support even first time, if he wanted it, but let's just hope it works better with the guard. For the future he (and everyone else) will have to learn conducting quests under existing circumstances and plan the quest better rather than make so much ado about nothing afterwards. I remember myself organizing quests and events in PC times, making tons of mistakes out of lack of thought and experience making quests, but at least I had a gut to admit that I have to work on myself, and think it over better next time. I do hope this will be the paradigm for the future questors and not what just happened past few days. That was embarassing to observe. Oh and one one thing to think about> Eon came during lashtals first lecture of fear casting silvertongues, trying to bother everything. Anyone of you, not present there, heard about it? Don't you think that everyone has the right to keep their reasoning in private? As if it is the first time that people (also "important" ones) leave alliances and join new ones immediately and nobody had to put their reasons on public and justify themselves why they did that (let's not point fingers to the recent SoS acquirements for example :D). So I don't see the reason why Mya should be treated differently. She might be morally obliged to explain it to her former ally members, but she can also do it in private imo.

hello Mya, I am sorry to hear about your mother. Since you shared it here I feel I have a right for a little advice in here - give time to your mom now, try to make her days lighter. Time is actually what you really lack. And being upset because of MD in this situation? I think on the contrary, it should show you that MD, comparing to things happening in a real life, is not a reason to be upset at all. About killing you and other stuff. You know, this is a game and when entering any game you accept that things that might happen in a game can be applied to you. So if you start playing chess you know that your figures can be taken by your opponent. No matter what other game, no matter if human opponent or computer, you may lose something, this is the nature of the game. So, in MD you know you can be killed, you know you can be persequted and pested because all this is a part of this game, it is "hard-coded" if you want it so. and you know it very well and still come here, which makes me think that you are strong enough to cope with disappointment and fight. Same as after losing a chess party or figure you do not throw the board, but you continue fighting and thinking what to do next. I hope I made my point clear. I wish you a nice day.

to DD> DD, I don't think you got me correct. Because in fact I do NOT understand you. And I think 3 pages of discussion here mean that many people in MD do not understand you. You see, I pointed out loyalty and continuity in my post because I was hoping that you will see the discrepancy between actions of your character and these 2 words. When we started playing MD your dream was it to be a leader of a certain Loreroot alliance, then when I started the story with CotE you suddenly wanted a Reviver role, then it was Death itself, then you left Loreroot saying that people don't understand you. And since people in all lands seem to misunderstand you, you look for a place without people. DD, I tried with all my strength, but I fail to see loyalty in continuity in your words, ideas and actions. You never fight, you just start and leave. Even when you made a quest and I did a few remarks on it, you wrote me - this is my last quest...just because I wrote a few remarks, pointing out mistakes. Continuity? Stability? Really? In my eyes, you seem to be a person who absolutelly lost orientation. Who actually wants to be a part of MD, who wants to find his place, his role, but except of the wish of being unique, doesn't really know what to he wants. Because otherwise, you would fight for one idea of yours and not jump from one idea to another, as soon as people start critisizing it. That is why you bump into lack of trust from the side of community, because the past actions show that your moods change too often. And with every new change of direction the credit of trust gets smaller. As I said before, I really don't think it is impossible for you to become a labyrinth citizen, but you should really sit down and think CAREFULLY of what DD wants and who is he and where does he go. Your current description of your role in Labyrinth seems very unsuitable for your character from my perspective as an outsider. You would probably say that me and others just don't understand your true being, but DD, this is what we see in you and maybe you should listen a little bit. Maybe just ask people around what do they think would be good solution or land or role for you, try to listen to your heart too, forget about the uniqueness idea and just think of the role you would be happy with, even if it is something small. Because all big things start small too :) To community> maybe we better help DD out with looking for his role instead of throwing stones at him? This is of course is only then possible when he wants to listen, but will you be willing to stretch your hand and actually help if he asks for it? Saying no and critisizing is easy, but he seems to be sincerely searching and just killing his next idea without showing him an alternative is not the way out in my oppinion. Unless you want to have another idea to critisize and another portion of frustration and disappointment to share.

I don't agree dst, don't think it is about loyalty. What should Labyrinth loyalty bring? It is about being unique, similar to Fangs mp7, I guess. Being unique in some way or other makes us feel special and irreplaceable. That is why people do that. Basically one can do research on Labyrinth (or any other kind of thing..sitting at the Bob or Awiyyas way, keeping the Garden going or whatever) and be interested in it without "getting anything" from it. I think this was also the initial idea - people just DO things for a long time and then they become "merged" with those things so much that you cannot imagine them without. Then and only then they get tags and roles and citizenships. This is the way I see it - if DD really shows loyalty to Labyrinth in all possible ways - promoting such topics on forum, organizing labyrinth festivals and quests ingame, inviting people to go through it, partying in there, staying there or around there all the time...and he shows a continuity and loyalty in this (for how long? year? or 2? depends on intensity, I guess), I see no reason why not to grant him this citizenship. But this not should be a matter of a single forum post or 1 page of ramblings even very carefully made. EDIT> did't see DDs post about being unique before :P

What I think (despite of the philosophy behind..I don‘t want to go too deep into it, because the post will get too long) the most remarkable feature of every labyrinth is – it requires dedication. Dedication, loyalty and continuity. Once you entered it and made a few steps, you cannot just look back and say that you changed your mind, that it is too tough, too boring, too monotone, too lonely for you or it is not your taste anymore. As soon as you start thinking that – you are in panic and you are lost completely. But if you are stable and constant in what you do, want, feel, you keep going and going the direction you chose, fulfilling the strategy you chose, making your way with a great deal of patience. You are deaf to those voices in your head that tell you – you picked the wrong way. And when finally you discover that after all you ended at the dead end you just make a little remark for yourself and continue over and over again. I think labyrinth like nothing else requires a motto: “Never ever give up”. So, since you started this topic to be closer to labyrinth citizenship, I would like to ask you: do you think you possess the character traits that allow you to master the labyrinth and if you do not agree with what I wrote before – what do you think is the characteristic trait of a labyrinth citizen or somebody that feels at home in there?

the way I see it - the only currency in MD is gold actually (and I don't see the need to have more to be honest). The only reason why silver needs to exist is - because some things are worth less then 1 gold and you get in trouble if you have only gold. Unless you want to devaluate gold to the level of silver you need something smaller to split gold up. Exactly the same thing with RL currencies - 1$ = 100cent because community agreed that it is practical. They could also have agreed on 1$ = 15 cent. I don't see gold and silver like $ and euro and I think it is good. Personally I dislike all market manipulations with money and I don't wish any preferances of values for MD. So you make an exchange from gold to silver if you want to buy 1 bone from me (lets say 1 bone costs 1 silver coin in my understanding) and you assume that I will have trouble to give you the change. This function is fully enough for me to justify the existance of gold and silver. Does it make sense for you, Ary?

Three people had to be disqualified during the quest: Ars Alchemy and Sir Blut because they failed to find a song and write a paragraph in time and JadenDew. Jaden submitted a song and a paragraph but she violated 2 rules of the quest: 1) her song was not in English. 2) her paragraph exceeded the word limit. Since she made quite a big effort with her entry, we decided to give her song to the person for who it was meant to be and also to judges to judge upon it, but Jaden’s score will not be counted in the final score list. Since in the end we had only 19 participants who submitted their songs, Mur’s doubling of the rewards will not apply. And now to the good news! Here is a final list of winners! He may not talk aloud to himself while walking under the trees, like the song implies, but I have caught him a few times rest under the tree at Stag Crossing and sing instead. The song's theme is of course nature, as its title says, which makes it fit powle's role, but it also fits the concept of him searching for new ideas ("What am I going to do? I need some thoughts that are new."), possible difficulties encountered after such a long sleep ("What am I going to do? Mind is laid with dew.") and the habit of singing under a tree (the more obvious "do-do-do"/"de-de-de"/"na-na-na" parts). [/spoiler] Now rewards! strangely, the modern air ventilation system in the underground library archives works similarly, also producing spooky sounds and whispers from time to time. Freaked me out first time I had to work there. The other interesting thing - the absence of any mobile and internet connection, thats why it is only allowed to go in there when are people are still in house (old fashioned phone is available in case of emergency). If you don't show up for a couple of hours they are suppossed to go down and check if you are still alive. But thats completely OFFTOPIC :D :P
