Well, a player, Perfectra, pmed me a while back asking me why she lost in a fight:
I thought about it too, and couldn't come up with an answer. After all, if none of his creatures survived, that probably meant that he was dealt 100% damage, right? I asked for more fight detail, and after a few days the player emailed me it. I copied and pasted it below, just because it's length.
As you can see (if you look down), it's a rather long fight. In fact, it says that the fight ended because it was too long. Making a cursory glance, I see
the only creature who has the ability to use regen is Er3vos's Hollow Warrior, which by default heals dying creatures; it shouldn't be related to the regen bug.
at the last round, Er3vos's Dark Archer, Hollow Warrior, Heretic Archer, Elemental II and Elemental I were still alive, contradictory to the fight log's report for creature experience gain, which says, "No creatures survived the fight for this player, no xp reward."
The percentage of damage, 57.8571428571% vs 43.6106983655%, also conflicts with the previous statement. I'm assuming the first percentage is Perfecta's, although I'm not sure.
Right now, I'm guessing that 57.8571428571% vs 43.6106983655% reflects how the fight truly went, so the main thing that breaks with how the fight should've gone in my eyes is the "No creatures survived the fight for this player, no xp reward" for Er3vos. Maybe he would've gotten 100% casualties had the fight gone on?
I sort of wonder if Er3vos did or did not get exp for his creatures, but I don't really have any way of confirming. If anyone has a close fight with someone else which ends because the length is too long, I'd like it if you could look at the fight log and check if the percentage and creature exp gain seem to match up.
Even if it doesn't affect creature exp gain and it's just the log, I think it should still be changed. Newbies and people like me can get confused.
