1. I thought you were binding firs' soul to a tree. Would've been interesting to see a king in the form of a Remains
2. At the moment it seems that only water and memory stones are being harvested regularly so I can't check the wood-type resources unless someone starts harvesting it again xD I can confirm that (regular) water are affected though. Just to confirm Mur, when you said from 0 the regen would be 0.25, does it stay that way (0.25 per regen) until it hits 1 (so 4 cycles to regen from 0 to 1), then regens by 1 after that?
3. So far when I'm collecting resources from those places (more than 10, maybe 20 times) I always get whole numbers. The fractions seem to only affect the number that gets regen'ed next cycle (which breaks into smaller fractions) but not the number harvested so far.
4. Hmm.. Some places have fractioned resource (willow's walk has 4.359375 atm) so I guess it's still a bit bugged atm.
5. When is the deadline for submission?
6. I'm still recruiting, and I think xrieg is as well, so I think you can still join
7. I can do LR (excluding king-only places such as pathkeeper, hollow den obviously), and might do MB once I finished LR.
8.
Sorry if this is a bit offtopic, but: What is the lowest item ID? Not specifically coins. I know of an item with quite a low ID number. Just curious, Hedge
The lowest item ID would be 1, naturally
9. Ah, one thing I'm still not sure of: how many person should a team be consisted of? I was under the impression that it's a 3 vs 3, but I can't really find it stated anywhere xD Or is it freely decided by the team leaders? PS: recruiting team members, those interested to join my team please PM me. My current team: Udgard (mp5) Phantom Orchid (mp5) Shadowseeker (mp5) Paracelsus (mp4) Crankz (mp3) Quashen (mp3)
10.
So, do people think that it is appropriate for kings/queens to change their citizenship? And if you do, would you set any restrictions or requirements at all?
Appropriate? I can't really say yes but it's not an outright no either. It is certain to cause people to wonder, and a person on such an important position such as a king/queen should do their best not to choose a course of action that would hurt the credibility of their government (and consequentially, the land itself). But as far as restrictions/requirements go, as long as the majority of the citizens have no problem with what their king/queen is doing, then there should be no problem as far as the others are concerned. If the citizens thinks it's such a huge problem that their king/queen being a citizen of another land, that's what the rebel feature is for and the people will get to choose a monarch they prefer better. If not, so be it.
11.
Glor, Morrel, Innocence, Fyrd, Blackthorn, Indyra, Handy Pockets, Ivorak, Laphers, BFH, Rumi, Curiose, Malaikat Mut, Princ Rhaegar, Eon, Fenrir Greycloth, Mcvitie, Mya Celestia, Windy, Sagewoman, Tengri, are the ones being judged. The next were rejected: Laphers, Rumi, Malaikat Mut, Fenrir Greycloth, Mcvitie. The following I am highly doubting and require more arguments to be listed as Legendary: Morrel, Blackthorn, Ivorak, BFH, Princ Rhaegar, Eon, Curiose, Tengri The following I have the highest difficulty of judging and at the moment of me writing it, it may as well be a coinflip (and because a coinflip is arbitrary, my auto-judgment is no), so please strengthen or weaken the cases for: Innocence, Fyrd, Mya Celestia. The following have (tentatively) been accepted, unless serious cases are made against them: Indyra, Handy Pockets, Windy, Sagewoman. (h-uh, all women).
I can't find Glor's name on the list of the "current status" of the nominees. Is he already accepted? I would also like to argue a case for Morrel and Blackthorn in accordance to what Chewett has mentioned about them.
Personally i would consider a legend in which you could point to some facet of the game and go "That guy did really well with helping with X, or doing Y"
I think both did very well in helping with the avatars, of which quite a few of the avatar available in the game were drawn by them (though I do not know exactly how many), and in my opinion constitutes a lot of the better quality ones. Outside arts, Blackthorn had a central role in Loreroot and Morrel was one of the major fighter that determined the outcome of the finale battle of the Shade War (IIRC, he was the only one among the fighters whose name was mentioned by Khal as the ones who destroyed his army).
12. Item transfer page is fixed for me now, but the item creation interface is still pushed to the right.
13. I think Mur did try to bake you a cake after all, but the stove exploded (or was it the pot? he messed around a lot with his pot lately) and caused the snowmen to melt :/
14. I think this is my 4th Akasha birthday thread Happy b'day!
15. If the test is still on, can I be transported to the place we're doing the test too? I was on the list, but I was not online when the first group was transported.
16.
I'm just surprised that we don't have birthday topics every day of the year yet
Somebody needs to get born more often..
17. Happy birthday!
18. I agree that resources shouldn't deplete forever as things might turn into another hoarding scenario. It might be interesting if upon depletion to 0, certain events must happen before it starts replenishing again, such as a rain weather restoring dried up locations (can't think of examples for other kinds of resource on top of my head, but I think you get the idea). But anyways, thanks for the answer Mur. I guess we wouldn't need to worry about major landscape changes in MD anytime soon
19. Apparently, fixing this bug might have caused a new one.. Now the item transfer page is pushed to the right, and the item creation interface even further >.<

(image spoilered for the sake of those with slower connections) The first bug didn't occur to me, if it has anything to do with this,
20.
If anyone is interested please PM me (MD or forum). I'll assign people based on PMs in 24hrs. So you have 24hrs to let me know. Lonewolf and Phantom, consider yourselves assigned already. Edit: Those wanting to participate should try to recruit as many of the new creature as possible (6 being enough obviosuly). And remember, it is serious and might have bad consequences. You may also find yourself locked away for a while to do the testing. You have be warned. List so far: Lone Wolf Phantom Orchid Udgard Nimrodel Aranna krioni Myself
Just thought i'd point out that the seeds are considered plants, we could only place 3 of them in a given rit. Of course, having 6 would help test if there's a bug with the creature limit.
21. I can confirm that batches of stones gets enchanted individually, but if you enchant a stone, all unused yet stones shares the "used" cooldown even though they are not being enchanted. Cooldown seems to be tied to the item, as if you transfer them away and get a new one, the new one has no cooldown.
22. So I've been wondering... This is what the announcement says:
Land resources will increase always by HALF of their remaining value. This means that the more you depleet them the slower they will regenerate. There is an ideal amount of resources you could gather each day in order to acieve optimal gathering rate. If you are greedy you will get more for the moment but lower than you could get if you take care of that resource and don't let it go to low. This will make team work in gathering guilds more interesting.
From what I've seen though, memory stones still regen even when there are 0 left. Kinda make sense because stones are not organic. My question is, can resources like lumber and water regenerate when all are depleted? I'm wondering what effect will happen if someone totally deforested an area or completely dried a place of water..
23. I just noticed today that my rit where a creature used to do damage targeted to weak creatures still does the same thing even though the creature has now been upgraded to a form that no longer has that targeting option. IIRC, back then I would've get the message "creature x does not know target y" or something like that. Since it's nowhere in the announcement, I would guess this was unintentional?
24. Personally, I think instead of viscosity per location, it might be better viscosity per groups of location (for most places) instead. Majority of "normal" locations within the realm could be grouped under one viscosity, with separate viscosity sets for hard-to reach locations. So for isolated places like Necro and golemus, the high AP costs would be applied on entry to the area via the "gate", but once inside movement becomes easier. Special location sets could then exist inside, such as inner kelletha as one group, oak tower interior as one group, inner necro as one group etc.
25. Ok, tried clearing cache again and now it works fine for me (btw, I'm using FF 5.0). As for teleporting people out; alas, I think my teleportation spells only work on self, so I can't help you there
