  1. There is no interface to deal with removing/cleaning/dealing with old avatars, this is the problem really. The current interface might work (dst?) but the avatar team need training. Note: Dst did a load of artwork approval before the art team were set up since she has an eye for art and I was too busy :)
  2. Yup. Am I allowed to change things you code in? I actually pointed out one of the bugs and told you I wasnt touching that hacky code with a bargepole :P You said you would fix it, any feedback? Not to mention removing some of the glitzy animations you spent ages adding in. Seems counter productive if im removing things you add in.
  3. 3/4 of those things you explicitly implemented. I was told im only someone who has power over technical things.
  4. I also interpreted it this way, but if that was not done, then the post should probably be clarified a little.
  5. It was done, rejoice!
  6. The items have been created and are in Eara's hands
  7. Can someone bump this so it's new, am away from home unexpectedly and need to remember it
  8. Totems is more of a longer term feature and will be added too if the delays to A25 continue, thanks for pointing it out but this was already planned, will add it to the list however
  9. people will raise the same issues as they did with the tokens "others could do it, My strategy depends on it, now it will be harder to beat those ahead" My first response is "yeah, and?" same issues with the tokens, I would consider reducing it quite honestly, and will consider it unless some better alternatives are given. The exponential scaling of some effects are bad.
  10. Yeah I noticed that too, will look into it as a quick fix later on.
  11. Right, there are many bugs in this thread, im going to close it and then when we run these events we can attempt to debug them individually.
  12. Alt stuff be done
  13. While the change has been reset (see: http://magicduel.invisionzone.com/topic/15512-the-truth/) this discussion should continue.
  14. Feel free to read above :)
  15. Im not a flash expert and Mur tried and failed to fix it. Furthermore It takes a large amount of time to load up when you have more than 20 or so creatures, we suggest using the HTML5 interface, healing should be added at some point and then it will work the same as the flash one in most regards.
  16. The actual changes to the alter have been converting it over to use HTML5 so it takes much less time to load. This required disabling it for a bit, which this test provided a good cover to do so. This is the default interface for the alter now. This will be announced once the above announcement goes out :)
  17. Those that tried to sacrafice anything during this period where the value was reduced would have gotten an error message, complete with friendly face
  18. People need to get involved in MD otherwise bad things can happen. The change announced a couple hours ago, shows that we do have some people who care about combat and how to raise your stats. But it also shows that a number of big MD players have differing views on how to balance things. Tokens were suggested to be changed in this way, It was actually agreed on, and suggested to be implemented. However, as the MD community pointed out, and it was realised during the discussion, there were a number of issues which meant implementing this would be problematic. The small group that responded to Murs ask for help did not resolve these issues. Everyone here will be contacted privately to discuss what they can help for MD, since they have shown that they care for MD at some level to get a discussion going. I thank each and every one of you that participated in the thread so far, and who will continue to participate. Tomorrow, 24 hours after I changed it, it will be changed back to what it originally was. Hopefully the community will see that, without involvement, MD will not continue to be MD. I apologise for this "Mur Style" game, but sometimes MD needs a little shaking to get people to do things. Asking for help doesnt always get players to actually help out and discuss issues. I love you all, I now have faith that MD shall continue because its community does care. Note: This post was made in a secret forum, and will not be edited. I will move it out tomorrow evening and post below this.
  19. Lets not let this degrade into a flame war :) We should focus on what should be changed, and why, to make it fairer. This is a good platform to work from, since people apparently want to get involved now :) But, if you really want to know, Eon was one of the ones discussing it I think you all know his fighting credentials.
  20. If someone wants to step forward as a co-ordinator for this project, come forward and get some approval from the masses. I can work with one person to talk to them about what we can change and how much work its likely to take. Short answer, we can change anything :) but it might take a bit of coding time.
  21. This was a change that a number of people talked about and agreed on. Most of you guys were around when Mur was asking for people to discuss it and none of you came forward. Think up some decent changes, ones that can actually be implemented and we can improve the situation. This was on my list as something to do, It had a definite values that I could implement and approval from those that were discussing the changes. If there is something that you can present, agree on, and is implementable then we can move forward :) The problem with most of the new ideas is that they are general ideas but are not implementable since they do not have specific values/ideas I can actually implement. They are very general and hand wavy. Im very open to changes here guys, Thats the whole point of "perpetually in beta". If nothing, this announcement has actually got people talking and thinking as to how to balance the changes rather than the 6 or so people that were discussing it before. So, Lets discuss. And unlike most discussions, actually get a solution :)
  22. The minority that purchase them get large amounts of stats :)
  23. Interesting to note that tokens are not bought that often in actuality according to the current shop and creature/token distribution, Most of the money is not made from those branches. If money is your concern, I wouldnt worry about it :)
  24. Feel free to propose a better solution, We talked to a number of grinders and you did not appear when we asked for people to comment how to change things (this was a number of months ago now) The tokens were identified as the main thing in the shop that differentiated paying players from ones that did not. If you had money you could get 960% extra stats from sacrificing a creature, is that fair? Your only complaint is that grinders of the past X years had it better than you now will in the future, This is mooted again and again when features change for the positive or negative that "In the past we had it harder/easier and therefore its not fair". The change is needed to try and balance out paying and non-paying players, those that pay for tokens still get a bonus compared to those that dont which I still think is unfair. Our mission in MD was previously that no paid shop feature should influence gameplay. This has changed since MD was founded but we shall attempt to ensure that, even on some level, its slightly fairer. 960% additional stats for money is not fair.
  25. Upgrading doesnt require exploration points (I believe?). Therefore farms can still be made.
