Tom you seem a little confused, as I haven't said this at all. Actually in my experience of participating and running forums (a number over the years) MD is one of the more relaxed one We deal out very few mod previews and lock very few posts. This does mean that sometimes there are a lot more arguments due to the various personalities but thats a choice we have made in giving people freedom. As for what age category the MD forums should be, I believe Mur's basic idea for the game and forums is a PG-13 type endeavour and that is the basic idea we moderate to in terms of swearing etc.

You don't appear to have read the parts of my post where I recommend the second half of your post as you are misrepresenting my views.

I would agree with pip and am open to discussion about how we want to run our forum. i have had the pleasure of knowing many md'ers on a personal level alongside playing with them in MD and therefore know a decent number that "grew up" with the site. As you say its important for people to be well supported during a period when they are growing into "themselves" so I agree the mistakes are important. the freedom of idiocy as you say is therefore an important part of life and therefore our game. The main question is how far do we want it to go. The main thing that drives newer players away is the comment that there is a lot infighting. Part of the issue here is we have quite a lot of pretty smart players all who have allegiances and people they don't get on with. There is a fine line between moderating everything and freedom. I dislike it when I have to do something like I did, but I was slightly happier when I got two forum messages thanking me for doing it. Hopefully, specifically in fangs position, he has learnt a little from this. I'm not going to ban anyone permanently for these kind of scraps but might slap a mod preview on them for a bit. I want to do something to try and reduce some of the toxic messages but with me being most of the mod team it's hard to deal with these kind of things, especially when we are trying to give people freedom. opinions on what we can do are welcome.

To reiterate what Ivoark, in more official terms: It isnt illegal, and wont be, to try and sell something you see in your shop, before you buy it. Any buyer buying it should know that until the seller has confirmed they have the item it might disappear. In my opinion, its probably a little foolish, espically with avatars when others can also see the same ones you can. But not punishable. Unless BR would go ahead and take your coin, and then not return it, without passing the gold its no issue. Maybe something that might leave a bad taste in peoples mouth as an inexperienced trader. But I fully trust that BR would return your coin if he took it and found this had occurred. I too really dislike anon bids, So if anyone wishes have anon bidding and wants a neutral third party to "approve" anon bids, Im free to receive such PM's. Fang, I get what you are trying to say, but its not helping and is actively inflaming these things. Everyone else: If you have an issue with something here, can you make a new topic or contact judges, or me. All this infighting just gets everyone upset. Unrelated to the bug apparently. Looks like some elu's have been modified recently, or something is breaking their config. As a note I have set every elu to have coloredpaper as their usetype. If I find any now without this set then something is definately wrong.

your elu is apparently tagged as a "rich elu" and isnt collecting papers apparently... Any clue why that is? Looks like Mur changed this a bit recently considering I found a new comment in the file who the **** did this mess? I have fixed up the file now.

How is blackshard involved? Why would someone else be given a achievement for your work? I'm a little perplexed. Also if the daily progress is all it its, its not awesome enough

The helper role, if mur decides to move all guardians to the gateway, is the most important thing? What once you lose your lho status, is important to regain to help people? im assuming that it's something more than attacklock and such?

Nothing is decided yet about lho it might be made redundant, it might not. Maybe a new non guardian type lho will come forth. Nothing is fixed ever

Still on phone (train) and I hit post... I think if mur is going to abolish lhos then it's just the eventual lifecycle of a job. I personally still haven't decided what to do with them but moving them onto the guardian role makes a bit of sense although I probably wouldn't force them all on the island (eventually, maybe to start with it needs to be forced) if you look at the guardians as the new lho I think mostly this is asking if you want to conjntue helping or are too busy?

Sorry please mostly ignore my previous message as I was on phone and have now read the announcement. reading that I think the plan is to eventually generally remove lho Syrian as they have partially been replaced by guardians or make the guardian role the new lho. So it wouldn't be if you join the gateway you lose the stars, more than likely joining might increase the chance of keeping them if lho is replaced.

I kinda agree, I'm not convinced either are needed when helpers are permitted to leave and retain their stars.

My post was hopefully trying to get you to ignore others and explain how your being an "empath" has affected your time in MD, espically those times when you have apparently been most misunderstood. I hoped this was a perfect time for you to step up and talk to people but I assume from the negative reputation you gave me that you took it negatively. sorry for trying to help you with your problem. this is the perfect medium to explain but oh well I won't try again

As a more personal and general note, Im not convinced this marries up with your actual interactions with people in MD. it seems a lot more like you dont consider others, Similar to how when you disbanded GG and then suddenly realised you let your land down. So given the fact that as far as I can see, what you wrote saying you are, and what you have shown are different it would be interesting to see your viewpoint on some of the more explosive incidents, and why you think you had empathy with people during that.
