  1. In addition to this, i want to say something about mentoring new players when they are in fact undercover vets, as this happened to me many times and i admit its frustrating.

     

    It is frustrating, but if you think about it better, an "OK" alt, should be allowed to go through this process to. In many cases there are fossilized vets, that suddenly realize they lost connection with how md works, and want to experience it allover again, including how to it is to be a noob and work their way from the ground up..and this is fully allowed. Maybe one day you will want to experience this yourself, and you will understand why i support this kind of thing.

  2. While an altcheck will never happen out of public curiousity, it can certainly happen out of abuse concerns, but even so, the outcome of the check might not be publicly disclosed (maybe only if it ends up with a sort of punishment for the involved parties)

    Alternate identities to play alternate roles, is a sacred concept here in md, and any alt abuse should be regarded through this perspective also.

     

    I will conduct a search when and if i consider needed. If you find additional abuse proof please publish here or send to me, but for now this only looks to me like you grabbed onto a minor thing to try to confirm a suspicion, and i can't help you about that.

  3. To clarify this. 

    It is intentional, to let YOU (population of md) do whatever you wish and adjust the resulting value of whatever happens on your own. On my part i am ready for anythibg you may throw to me (=>MD) ..for example you might decide that you s8xh not to continue the bloodline of any kitties..or to infest md with as much cats as possible..i am ready for all.

     

    The current female is (will be) in Handy Pockets hands, as the initial gift i made (so much fun it was). The male and female must me under the same account , its your responsability under what terms you do this. MD tribunal will judge the eventuality of such fraud keeping in kind that the tlrisk exists, but the people involved are honorable.

    Right now, the cats CAN NOT REPRODUCE , this is future work, and the cats will be the prototype of a new series of functions in md game dynamics.

    I can not estimate when this will function, but i am very motivated to do this. 

    In the beginning, to speed up things, i might provide an other female for experiments only, to see how this works  but i will try not to dirsupt the "cat economy" with my experiments.

    *there might be undisclosed good things for the winner of the auction, but i can not tell them because i am righr now not sure i can provide the things i am planning. The value of the auction is for me an indicator of how much interest it is for this feature and this is proportional to my motivation to work on this further. Right now, the value exceeds any expectations.

     

    To be fully honest with everyone  once this auction is over , there will be an other auction with a very cool item, so that rhe top gold holders in md will be less rich :))) and my stock of gold for random gifts will be replenished. (Next year)

    I get your point, and I will try my best to avoid such situations, if possible, but like with any other custom tag, there could be unforeseen ways around it. Think for example if you name your cat steven , get a tag "owner of steven" then register a playername "steven", after, and pretend you are a puppet master. This can be solved by naming the tag like "owner of steven [the cat]" 

    However, giving custom tags, regardless of occasion, should include a small chance of creative abuse. This is a spice that most don't agree to, but most enjoy its result.

    Eventually its possible that the cat will be the prototype of pet owners, maybe even give a tag automatically, i don't know, but whatever will happen till then, with the future owner of this one and its pet, remains open. 

    In any case, i will try to prevent immediate and obvious abuse, but i can't guarantee something will not slip, ..and then once granted, the tag remains along with its implications.

     

  5. Fund raising event!
    There are currently 2 (soon 3) cats in the realm, but plans are to make them more common later on ... just not too common. I can not promise anything about their future rarity or market value, but regardless, they are very cool thing to have as they can be placed in any scene in any place!
    I am putting up a (male *hint*) cat for auction! The price will be exclusively in GOLD (notes and coins), and no silver equivalents. You can exchange silver for gold yourself at the coin minting facility. This is so, because i want to increase my gold stash, but also lower the silver amount currently on the market.

    The auction will end at the end of the year, and no surprise last minute bids will be accepted. If anyone bids higher in the last moment, the auction will be extended so that there will be at least a full day or more time for any other participant to reconsider their offers.

    By purchasing a cat, you agree that you will accept any future behavior of this animal, including running away from you, mating with other cats and created unwanted kitties, or even if it starts to eat your food. It currently does not do so, but like i said i have plans for this one.

    UPDATE - tag bonus

    The owner of the cat will also receive a custom tag, somethign related to being a cat owner. The tag will be kept regardless what happens with the cat later.

    To keep things fair, the owner of the current cat will also receive this if she requests it (pm me). Optionally, the cats can be named ONCE, no name change after.

    syntax is double asterix in front of the trigger word: **silver

    the output contains asterix in front and at the end (*message*), to be similar to how you would write your own mood texts, hopefully this will be a hint

    there is also the option to add a word or more after the trigger word, and for some moods this will direct the text towards that target, for example **greet nobody

  8. This is a detailed list of all the current chat commands as of today. Its likely that i will add many more over time and that this post won't be updated, but for now this is the complete list:

     

    All the green text is to be replaced by actual values

     

    /play tictactoe with playername

    opens a dedicated interface to play tic-tac-toe, experimenta game interface so demonstrate interactive capabilities of chat commands

     

    /match with playername

    opens a dedicated interface for an experimental, nonfunctional minigame, its where i work on chatcommants interactivity experiments

     

    /buzz playername

    opens a very annoying popup to the target player the also buzzes acoustically, do not abuse

     

    SHUT UP playername

    classic to MD, the ability to silence anyone you consider for whatever reason you consider, the right to have silence is fundamental in MD

     

    /shutup playername

    same effect, shuts up the target player preventing him from talking in chat, casting spells, etc

     

    *gives number trophies to playername [unfinished]

    gives trophies (heads) to target player. We call it tophies here, and not heads, to avoid obvious linguistic issue

     

    /givetrophies number to playername[unfinished]

    same effect, gives number of head trophies to target playername

     

    /giveitems numberxitemname to playername*

    transfer given number of items to playername. Example /giveitems 5xStone to Muratus del Mur

    Highly advanced AI to process the announcements in a given context or timeframe about a subject

    Example: /ann what happened to Blackshade Rider, within a year

    If this command does not work, it means the subject and context are not specific enough. The AI can not learn the entire announcements list but it can parse it in steps, first finding all the announcements in a given context, then processing them logically. 

     

    /how question

    Use the knowledge learned from the Questions and Answers -> How do i? forum section, to answer whatever question you have about the game that starts with /how

     

    /what question

    Use the knowledge learned from the Questions and Answers -> How do i? forum section, to answer whatever question you have about the game that starts with /what

     

    /why question

    Use the knowledge learned from the Questions and Answers -> How do i? forum section, to answer whatever question you have about the game that starts with /why

     

    /adventure Story name, first logic to filter, more specific question, short keyword

    /adventure Story name1|Story name2, first logic to filter, more specific question, short keyword

    story name = the name as it is written in adventurelog, or similar

    first logic =  extract a first round of results to learn from

    second, more specific question = a question asked in the context of the first logic results

    short keyword = to further limit the query and help the AI grab only the relevent context, you can specify a word that must be contained in all the records if looks for. Don't make it too complex, as it will search for the string as is. A good ideea for keyword is to use a name, something that shows up in all the story pages you are interested to analyze

    Use advanced AI to go through the adventurelog and solve a mistery, or even compare a complex situation. The syntax is more complex than other chat commands, but this is very very powerful tool

    Example usage:
    /adventure the traveler|tales of the cube, how does the Traveler or the Shade Sentinel change, How did the traveler meeting the shade sentinel in Story 1 affect both of them?
    /adventure the traveler, How did the traveler meeting the shade sentinel affect both of them?
    Wodin seems to be a good fit for the compare type of question as he shows up in "The Shade Ballance" and "Golemus Wizard quest"
    /adventure The Shade Ballance|Golemus Wizard quest, what does Wodin do in this story, What relation is between what Wodin does in Story 1 and what he does in Story 2,Wodin

    write a sales pitch for selling the item for the desired price

     

    /solve

    Use advanced AI to determine what could be solved from the latest chat lines, maybe a riddle, or a puzzle or question, then answer it

     

    /help

    show a limited list of all the chat commands, i say limited because there is a technical limitation of how much text can be shown there, and it can't fit all info

     

    /help question

    ask a specific question

     

    /howto question

    answer a specific question

     

    /pm playername: message

    send a personal message to the target playername, directly in their inbox, and leave a roleplay remark about this action in the chat

     

    /msg playername: message

    same as /pm

     

    Note some are in roleplay syntax *...*

     

     

     

  9. There are multiple ways to get revived, however none should be easy. There are hardcoded quests that end up in you being revived, but also a variety of reviving tools other players might have acquired. Seek for help, explore on your own, eventually there is a way out of death. Some clickies do other things while you are dead. Look for clues on the forum, and ask other people about more specific tips on where and how to start your journey for revival. You might want to look for the Caretakers guild, they know much about death and revival.

  10. A bestiary is an item in your inventory that can be used to store the memory of one or creatures. Once a creature is stored in such a book, it can not be used as an actual creature anymore, instead if becomes just like a collectors card. These creature that you store in a bestiary, can be converted into NFT on polygon blockchain and taken out of the game, traded, sold, exchanged. Converting NFTs back into creatures might be possible at a later time, but currently they are just collectibles.

     

    One place you could get a bestiary item, is from the wish shop, look for Compendium of Beasts item.

     it is unrelated to the server move.

    I added an additional error message in that situation, you should see :

    MIRROR MAGIC unable to load because attacker has no valid ritual

    And the fight should not be allowed to happen, because if attacker has no valid ritual, then its impossible to calculate the attackers vitality participating in the fight.

     

     

  12. fixed a lot of the above due to changes that affected most.

    main issues came from restrictive mysql modes - fixed

    some issues came from missing php settings, like zlib output buffering for example that gave errors on opening items - fixed

    i will check recruiting crits next

  13. Today is a sad day, that probably happend many times before, but this is the first time i catch it. A single person all alone in entire MD. I was careful to check this, it is not a result of some server reset. I actually watched this for a few hours because for a long period of time there where two people. I tried contacting both without success.

     

    So.. Antyvas receives a mark of history achievement (whenever we get to chat in-game) ... even it was probably pure luck.

    I was not convinced by your GOTR coat of arms attempts, but some of you got 90% there. I will not give a reward for that yet, because i am sure someone some day, will create it better, and the reward for that would have been a 'joker card' for place in the ally... but next time.

Try starting with the top branches as symetrical and unconnected as possible, down to up movements, this will make them conect later on on themselves, and as fast as you can draw the bottom roots contour. The particles from the brnaches will emerge on the bottom as they exit the top, and will feed the roots contour.

    I lack precision to make the bottom roots as nice as you did, but i believe you can do that better. After a while, i also get an angry face , probably the way you look when you see you missed that moment when to make the screenshot.

    The creation does not last long at all
