i missed out darkraptors post when i posted and only saw it now, its red and shiny now. We have two candidtes so far. All the questions and discussions about mda are things you should be able to discuss with the land leader...oh wait, there is none yet! The way tags/titles/roles/abilities will be given out will be as discussed in the other topic, and for that to happen we need leaders for almost all the lands. That way, the roles that go in such a land will not be given by random authorities but by someone that will centralize all the things going on in that land, a land leader. I denied powle's entry, I am not aware of anything memorable you did so far in the realm, i didn't checked your active days but for my fossil eyes you are either new or not with a big enough reputation to claim such a position. I WILL ONLY MARK THE CANDIDATES THAT I WILL CONSIDER SELECTING Other eligible people might get denied from the start if i find a reason why not to pick them. so far Ivorak and darkraptor i will keep this post unannounced for a bit longer

Chew, i might reply slightly angry but i always appreciate your feedback, and i need and use your feedback, as you already know. I just have a slight problem with the aggressiveness of the way you put it sometimes. Someone who "sucks up to me" will never get such a role anyway...but i will also not deny such a role to people that worked close to me (both people named above), that will be equally stupid to accepting incompetent people as land leaders. Like anyone else i have my own issues at times, seeing people that doubt my actions at every step is one of the things that shift me off the edge very easy. Advice is welcome, and in your case i try to see it as such. Coming from anyone else, your reply would have been not an advice but a random aggression.

You mentioned Kyphis, i think he announced he doesn't have internet for a couple of days. thats a valid excuse and he is a valid candidate, same as Ivorak if he wishes such a position and if he proves to understand the position. I might wait a bit more to see who reads the forum..as i said ..thats a very important part of the role

that is a reality that i know, and its very sad indeed. I tried to call them fossils, but what you describe is worse, at least fossils where legends at some point. The situation with mda is "simple" ... either it will get organized, or it will be exterminated...cleansed As always (almost), you are doubting my judgment ..so..here is a short explenation of some aspects you didn't see (yet). A leadership position means responsability. In md, a leadership position either brings back to life or kills. Of course this is a weird effect for a necrovian ..but in mda it will work juuuust fine. Plus, there are certain things, like the titles, that will depend on such a central position, even in mda. A fossil could be good for mda,..mda is a land where i do not want many changes to happen, i want stability most of all. endurance. yes, i said this repeatedly, and exactly to you countless times when speaking about multiple tags, but anyone can ask as many times as they want and i will reply as many times as needed. people can have multiple titles a title is a form of permanent role acknowledgement , comparable to a sort of qualification if you would like, or a skill, or a permanent "title"..very similar to a medal., alsmost the same thing to current tags, just that a title can be kept forever while a current title could be replaced with a new one. Titles you keep forever. In time, others will end up having similar or identical title and rights, at that point, the most active person will have more power. In case of king roles, we need to discuss it in more detail on how it should sound, in such way that the text of the title will be similar to the kings crown medal (even after you are no longer king you keep the crown medal, and you keep the title, but not the abilities) Titles are aimed to be collectible , you could get as many as you can, the more the better.

at this point i am waiting to find a printing service that can print these in two steps at the needed quality, but i ran only into imbecils that don't understand perfection is mandatory for these prints. I will not buy any images till i find a suitable and affordable printing service because based on the printing costs i might change my mind and design (i still want metallic ink and ultra fine prints, i didn't had time to ask too many companies arround here, but i will eventually find, don't worry) During this time, the first Title text will be ready (in the separate topic) and i will know better what elements will be on the page.

I looked at the picture and honestly i couldn't see the drach at first, had to look at the other to realise where it is. what i asked is to give titles to people ONLY that you can consider yourself directly above in a theoretical hierarchy. Stating random titles that you think fit generally in the land is a waste of my time..but no problem..we will do this slowly and take as much as it takes for all of you to understand. If needed, and if i see that its too difficult for some of you to understand what i mean, i will stay and babysit each of you publicly if needed. Chew, take your highest acknowledged title, code guardian. this gives you the right to name titles related to similar abilities. This includes coding (and all related), understanding of land balance, and so on. Sadly you are not a king right now to name land related titles. Nimrodel, focus on people that could be consider in the same area with your role, so, in this case, give a title relate to quest creators BE CREATIVE. Your authority is not limited that much, IF you know how to relate it to other areas, it will reach other areas. For example Nim or Chew is more entitled to suggest a nomansland role than others. Peace, focus on a title given to one of your citizens. Under special circumstances i will allow kings to give titles outside their land, if other kings agree to it (not sure at this point if the agreement needs to be written or just mentioned) I will not discuss about the people that i named and didn't replied. We need just one or two examples, and slowly will add more and more. This will create good examples for others to follow and understand how and in what situations to give a title, and what sort of title. What you do now is a lesson/tutorial for both you the other many people that will receive the ability to sign such title documents. At thi point i am more convinced that each title should be discussed public before signed, that will slwo things down a bit , but we do not need "speed" in this process, we need to keep md spirit and give it a much stronger backbone.

I will select a land leader to rule the Archive Lands. You are all invited in a first stage to claim this position, stating why you should receive it and what your intentions are. Also, the Title of this position will not be "King". It will have similar abilities and responsabilities, it will just not be named King/Queen. You are requested to NAME this Title yourselves, give it a name and a short description. This will show me that you understand this position in the first place. I will not give further clarifications. Someone that will lead MDA needs to know this on their own. In a second round I will ask evryone ELSE to show their support or their opposing to the people that want this position. In a couple of (not so many) days, i will stop the first round and start the second round. This topic will be used for both. At any point during the second round anyone else can still claim this position in the last minute. Answering fast to this shows that you are active, if you don't see this post in time then you are not suitable for a land leader position of the MDA. I leave the possibility open that someone applies last minute because at the end of this I don't wan't anyone excluded due to stupid organizatoric reasons, other than the overall duration of the entire "event", but applying later (during second round), will have certain disadvantages so to speak. ---- This will not be a vote. The decision will be personal. I just need all of you to help me decide. I am looking for that perfectly suited leader to deserve this title. A person that is able to understand what MDA is all about, that can communicate well, has a stainless reputation and most will respect. ok, here is the first issue i noticed. I will be the initial authority that creates these docs, but it can happen that i am not always fully aware of one or the other player and if they do deserve that title or not. For example in this case, i have no clue, so the only voice telling me it should be so is Peace. I suggest to add as part of the protocol something like "advisors". Basically this means asking arround if its so or not. An other security element could be to announce these titles first and give it a week time for anyone to dispute or deny the granting of a title. 1) asking around to get more confirmation that the suggested title is ok to be given, in case you alone don't know 2) give 1 week time for anyone to dispute the granting of a title What do you say, sounds too complicated or time consuming? I think a forum section dedicated for this, and announcing all titles in the main announcements would be ok. no, all docs will have an identical base....buuuuttt....its a good idea to have a dedicated space for visual elements, not just for text...hmm... Like for example if the title is related to a scene, it could fit in there.. printed on plain paper and glued in place in the designated area. However many might look empty then...or ? could we find some image to any title?

no, not kings, i don't want this limited to kings... two "roles" that i will grant the ability to issue Title documents. For example to give a nomansland title, me you and lets say Awy could give such a title

As i said on the topic bout the new "Titles" (here) , i need a sample for a Title document to have as a start. I will not award the most obvious titles first, such as "code guardian", and the others like that...those i keep for later when the papers are ready. Now i want one "normal" tag/role/title to be prepared. The people that can suggest one title for someone, are, for now: Princ Rhaegar Azull Peace Nimrodel Chewett BFH .. one of you, suggest a title you would like to award to someone, something that could be cosidered under your authority. Just name the player and the title, then if i agree to it, we will start discussing the actual text of the title document cmon people, break the ice, dare :P

no barcodes or qr codes. totally not. This needs to look like a mixture of modern high-tech security with a medieval touch. The keywords for this would be "nobility, authority, award". The purpose of the security pattern is to make them very difficult to edit and print altered or to make modifications to whatever will be written on it. I will show you a couple of samples i kind of like as a base to start. Ofc anyone could buy thm later and try to fake such a document, but don't worry i will make modifications to it that will make them insanely difficult to duplicate. I believe NomansLand tags/roles, should be more rare and more significant. Wit the new Titles system (that btw can be used in virtual form anytime, or better said whenever chew, me or even dude2 decide to provide some basic tools/protocol), will make things more clear. Basically a way to get this done, is that a nomansland role would be given by the two kigs, plus myself. Sounds fair enough?

chewett....you where md's coder not mb's coder. so it doesn't apply to you, you did what you where supposed to do, not favorise (or how its spelled) a specific land. The security measures are to add up to the quality, look&feel and general value of the document..not that they will be actualy forged. Afterall, these are generated by people you know and know you , they are not meant to be presented to unaware people, like you could say about fake bills for example. I do such things because i love the ideea not because its actally needed..in case you didn't realized that already. And yes they will have invisible ink. metal insertions, all the stuff..and yes serial number too. Just keep in mind they could have been plain toilet paper also, their value is not in how they are built but in who issued them and for what reason. The manufacturing process is just my personal crazyness put in practice.

(i put in bold the essential parts so anyone can read quickly what this is about) I believe all the important things have been discussed now and i have enough for the moment. I will post about the developing proocess just so i talk about it, it feels kind of depressing to be enthusiastic about something and all the people arround you in rl not to understand exactly why, ..but you do, so i will post here various, unessential details about what i do.. Imagine its a blog :) For the design i will be needing some security patterns, like on money bills ..that sort of image i have no way of creating myself, i need to get one already done/generated. After that i can and will alter it in various ways while designing how the doc will look. I had the unpleasant surprise to see the prices for such images at high resolutions, its depressing..for two images at high resolution i need i will pay as much as for the stamp manufacturing. Sadly i can't find top quality canvas of such sort for free, eh...random ranting.. At this point i don't know what you could do to help, probably nothing, but i don't want this topic to go cold because that would lower my current enthusiasm a bit (not much) and it will slow things down. So..i figured out something we can discuss next in order to keep things moving :P..so... LETS COMPOSE THE FIRST TITLE DOCUMENT There are a lot of people that will receive these documents to give out. So, to repeat the meaning of the words i use: 1) I am the main issuing authority, or "first authority" (dominion as a land, represented by me), Later on, in my place, there could be an other land represented by his king as the first authority for example. 2) the second authority will be those that will receive the document signed in blank, these are people with high authority and/or reputation, kings, people with powerful roles, etc 3) these documents will be filled, signed by the secnod authority (they are already singed by the first) and sent to those that deserve to receive a title, thats their final destination, the awarded person. I have a lot of people i will want to send docs as second authority, i will not name them here because i can't name all now and that's a subject for a separate announcement. I will name just a couple s we can work on this first title document together. Chewett, BFH, Nimrodel. so one of you (preferably all) please imagine you need to give out your first title. Who would be that person, what title is it, why does that person deserve it ...and so on. Then think how to formulate this in such way that the title is valid forever and does not imply a temporary role. For example , if you remember i gave out tags with temporary use, such as "contest moderator", these are not well suited for a title document...anyway you get my point. Pick your target, the title and prepare a sample text for the first ever created document and post it here. I hope to receive more than just one. After this, everyone please use the forum like/dislike voting system to indicate which one will be used for the first title. The others will be issued later when you receive the docs in your hand, now we just need a real sample to talk about how these docs will be worded, how bug the text will be etc, thats the purpose of this.\\Lets get it done! ps. @Chew&rikstar: it wouldn't be healthy to have "land coders" either. It will cause differences between the lands that will severely unbalance everything. Anyway, i took it as a joke actually.

People that do not belong to a land can still get roles/titles that are not specific to a land, you still need the support/authority of two powers. While i do want people to belong to a lad, i do understand why some cant or better said shouldn't be part of a land. I think this is a matter for an entirely different topic, not this one. Regardless how such titles will be given, the way you will receive your title still applies. Two authorities can be very easy be two authorities outside of any land too, or unrelated to land inner hierarchy, like for example chewett as a coder, he is a coder for entire md not for a specific land.

so last version to remain is: "This hereby is entrusted and acknowledged by the authority of the Dominion of Mur as part of Lands of the East territory" any objections? attached is a downsized version of the first seal (why so small? because i am paranoid ofc, it also has minor differencies from the actual version) This will be quite large on the page, enormous, somewhere at the bottom and again on the back maybe in UV ink, or mixed uv ink with custom ink...yeah..for chemical signature so you can't forge it too easy :P. I am working now on these details. I used to ..go the other way arround about un-making documents, now its time to do my best for something original of my own :)) Ofc nobody will need to or will try to actually professionally forge these documents...but if i do them so nice, lets do them really nice...i am having fun too afterall. There will be an other stamp to come with the signature, i think the third signature of the second authority will be optional (i can't ask everyone to purchase themselves a stamp, thats why it ill be optional and the page will be done in such way that it won't look empty without one..or ..not.. I will provide the design of the personal stamp of the second authority (the one receiving these papers to give out), if requested. An other option would be with wax seal, and instructions on how to build your own. With the right instructions anyone could build his own stamp too with minimum funds, it doesn't have to be proffesionally done...you could do it from a basic eraser and a cutter or some chemicals..i will provide several ways for those that prefer to make it rather than buy it.

because the title is "granted" by two authorities combined, wouldn't it be more accurate to write: This hereby is entrusted and acknowledged by the authority of the Dominion of Mur as part of Lands of the East territory. or the two terms are too similar? We need to finetune the list of situations where such a doc will be needed and also the way it will be formulated. It needs to be written in such way that it is timeless. After i finish with the seal and canvas decorations i will work on some text samples. Thanks for the text update No one. sounds much better. currently when these papers will be released there will be a very high demand, ..over time this demand will be filled and things will move on a a slower rate, but at first there will be chaos :) Hopefully this will be a good motivation both for me and the respective lands to get a nice coat of arms. I am thinking to start first with GG...but i am not yet fully decided. Maybe due to financial reasons i won't be able to make stamps for each land and i will print them...i need to think of this, one step at a time. For now i have my seal almost ready, and today i will work on the paper design, then in the next days i will look for offers that will match my budget to get the first few blank docs printed. I will keep you all updated of course. I am focusing on the "real/touchable" aspect of this because this is what motivates me a lot, but there is always the virtual alternative that can be a placeholder...one way or an other this will be done sooner than my usual version of "soon" :p
