Last week, some of you may have noticed an event at the Gazebo of Equilibrium.

I need a violin string, for a purpose I can't divulge, and it was suggested to me that an Aramor on Golemus would know likely have a Knator I could use to attain the gut. It might seem like a stretch, but it is important that the Knator be as present as possible; it couldn't be my Knator.

So I summoned |Abra, the empty aramor, to the GoE, and began to speak with him. He was incredibly confused, but we reached an agreement. He would give me his Knator and I would return in a week to teleport him out again, should he want to leave. Grido then teleported him back to the island.

I promised that I would return in a week, and today is precisely that week. In the time since our conversation I have raised the Knator fully and he is now ready to be sacrificed. So the plan is that I will go to Golemus, sacrifice the Knator, and then speak with Abra.

You are all welcome to join me, I will go at 8:00 server time. For MasterB - 8:00 AM, so 7 and a half hours from this edit. Do not worry about getting back from Golemus either; I will be mass-teleporting everybody off the island that I see at the end. If I fail to catch you, there are also the torches which will allow you to leave.

Day 69

Yesterday I went to the GG to visit Abra and sacrifice the Knator.

We all gathered in the Fenth's cave and I prepared to sacrifice the Knator. However just as the moment came, I paused, and could not follow through. Instead I cut my arm and made a blood pledge to the Knator that I would never harm it.

There was discussion of strings, and then Akasha came and teleported many people off the island.

I went searching for Abra but he appeared to be sleeping.

Today I went to the Tempest Fort and spoke with Abra, with Pamplemousse coincidentally there. Abra did not want to leave at that moment, so I left him a watch to tell the time with, and promised him again I would return in a week. Our discussions ranged from emotions to genders.

Day 75

As promised to Abra, I returned again today. I did not find him on GG, and instead ran into him at the Old Man's Road. He had escaped with a torch, but could not walk farther.

He seemed very bothered by the Aramory and the Aramors he saw there. He could not tell what they were feeling, and you could tell he was stressed because of it.

I offered again to take him to the GoE to explore more, but he refused. He returned to the island at the end of our conversation.

Log of Day 75 Old Man's Road

As an aside: I do not care much for whether people see the up close details of the image. They are, after all, looking at it as it hangs in my branches. If they would like to see it up close, they'd have to ask me. And I'd gladly oblige.

I cannot tell truly if I applying or not.  It doesn't really concern me, to be honest.  But if you need a yes or no, consider the needle at yes.
 
I have a long memory.  I remember rooting.  I remember the starts of this land, I remember the failings, I remember the writing, and the deaths, and the long train of figures that have passed through.  I forget much, but there are impressions on me.  I remember when papers seemed to matter, and spell documents, and where maybe leaving a mark on this land mattered.  I remember that what made people stay was to impress each other, and to feel that a footprint would become a landmark.  See that word?  Land mark.  A mark on the land.  Foot print - just an impression of your sole on the ground, reproduceable.  But to become a land mark.

I speak for myself (and if other group members feel that the research is worthy, they will send you an invite), but I would like to see your research head away from questions like "who created the underground?" and toward things like, "what are the connections, meanings of the underground?" I think the myth questions are unsolvable.

Imagine for a second a parable: a story designed to represent something deeper. An allegory works as well.

Now this is what story mode is. A story that on the surface is understood as a lovely fairy tale, but goes significantly deeper than that. I will give an example of a parable we all know:

The tortoise and the hare. The story where the hare initially starts out ahead but is eventually defeated by the tortoise due to hubris. What is the important part of the story? By far the moral, and the lesson we can take from this.

So what people have done with MD's lore, MD's parable, is extending on the story. They wrote about the tortoise's mother, about his father, his childhood, where he grew up, how the tortoise and the hare used to be friends, about this and that and even more things! People have missed the point entirely: it is not the setting, the characters, or the history and context behind the story that matters. It is the deeper meaning, the story within the story, the lesson to be learned, that should be paid close attention.

Do NOT be distracted by the who's, the what's, the where's, or the when's. Learn the lesson, look for the meaning, and do not be distracted by hare's in top hats with flashing yellow signs.

i knew ya cant trust archies, too subjective, cmon... marv isnt king yet, i dont see crown, and wodin defeated? no he gave up, thats A LOT different, in this story it seems like khal won war and beated woddy, which isnt true, its pretty simple khal was slain at house of ld, wot happened after that i am not sure of coz i dont understand it but i remember that khal himself claimed that khal which was once the man doesnt exist anymore and this new joined gray one took his place... or something like that, well idk, but my point is... ya made khal look like winner, while there was no real winners, sentineles suffered great loss, shades got balanced which ended up in weakening them, and woddy gave up from fight he WASNT defeated

Response: I changed the paragraph about the Shade Balance to make it not as "Khalazdad won." Instead, it says that Wodin gave up. And I don't really appreciate the "I knew ya cant trust archies" because I think that's untrue. All I'm going to say about that.

What about Glaistig? She was a forum moderator and one of the first LHOs. Since you made one about Aqune then Glai deserves one for sure.

As for Aqune...hmmm...should I let everybody know she (btw:she is a he, playing a she role...but ok, I understand that you are talking about a role not the person) was one of the most annoying players in MD? And that I promised her she will never win HC. Guess what? She never did .
As for Wodin: his ego was so big that he could not stand someone that would challenge him? When he got bored he left destroying things behind him. He was the reason why the reset account button was removed.

Response: Glaistig never really had a role, and forum moderator is OOC. So that leaves her with just LHO... and that alone isn't enough for a memorial. Should you leave, I won't mention it in your memorial. How you view Aqune is your choice, and congratulations on thwarting her/him. Furthermore, I would tend to agree, Wodin left disgracefully. However, I still think he changed a lot in game.

Agree with suggestion.  It's pretty standard behavior on the web (see: facebook), and a lot of times I have a GUI bug where the popup is situated too high on the screen and the x button hidden.

The root (hehe) of it would be that I have bubbles and lack the ability to move.  Aka - bring me back things from other places.  But I have never made it convincing enough for people to actually do this.
 
For instance I tried to convince Hedge to make maps for me... but that fell flat.
 
I dreamed once of spreading seeds all over the realm, and having fruits brought back to me (metaphorically and literally) - but this has yet come to pass.
