New Ggg?

I wouldn't mention that at all (despite noticing some issues from the firsts posts I read from him), but he insulted me (directly, rather than making fun of my post) and I retaliated. I'm sorry to hear that he has dyslexia, but I'm glad that he managed to live fine with it (he has a job, got married... congratulations). edit: (the quote was from the coup you and Metal Bunny tried to make Grido, Yrthilian originally became king directly from Mur, from what I know. I copied the info straight from Announcement log, I'll copy the whole post in one min just for you) Yrthilian, I didn't know you had dyslexia, and I didn't try to make fun of the illness I didn't know you had (I assumed you just didn't care to maintain what you write, I don't have experience with dyslexia at all, you're the first person that I've heard of who has it) edit for the Announcement I quoted, here's the whole text
Results for Yrthilian Kingship public voting All the votes submited have been reviewed, marked, and counted. The final result is very very tight. Yrthilian remains KING OF GOLEMUS GOLEMICARUM. Here are the count details of the voting. A full list of the 95 arguments submited (5 votes removed for being empty) can be posted public upon request. During the rating of each vote, a reputation mark from 0 to 2 was given based on your popularity in game. This mark will be counted for future uses. Make sure you vote on future votings to keep this mark updated. "Against" means votes that did not agree with Yrthilian being a King "In Favor" means votes that agreed with Yrthilian remaining a King Simple count of the number of votes: Against: 49 In Favor: 46 Vote score after marking each vote with a mark from 1 to 10 based on the arguments provided: Against: 185 In Favor: 203 Vote FINAL score after adding player reputation and land affiliation mark to each vote: Against: 309 In Favor: 327 Additional notes: Golemus people voted with a score (final marks calculated) of 65 against and 69 in favor, a very tight score for a King that was suppoed to be forgotten by its people. Most votes came from people that do not feel associated with a land, followed by Loreroot and Golemus. Necrovion (Tribunal not considered) had the lowest number of votes. Here ends the first public voting held with the new voting system. Like it or not, the decision reached by the voting is FINAL.
New Ggg?

when it comes from the likes of you, I find it funny, Yrth, so please don't refrain yourself Being an Irish who can't maintain grammar of the posts in his own language, really adds to your credibility by the way. I didn't put words in your mouth (that 'evil' thing I said is just signifier on what ambient your words can make, not the actual quote, I can't believe I have to explain this to you...) It doesn't have anything to do with Marind Bell. In difference to what you were saying there, that wasn't a Marind Bell training ground. There were lots of non-MB players (actually, the only MB player that was present there was me as far as I know, and I didn't even want to get to the Drachorn Cave, like Ravenstrider, I wasn't asked to be ported there), there were people from Necrovion to Necrovion rebels present Also, you confirming few things that I said, I can take out of (your probable) context, but I don't do such low-acts like some others. It's really tiring when I have to explain every quote you supposedly misunderstood. You REALLY want me to explain to you how can you profit if you have a puppet (in extremes) king in another land? Are you that... hmmm... hmmm to respond to Firsanthalas (it's really trivial, but just for the sake of responding to the statistic on Yrth voting)
"Against" means votes that did not agree with Yrthilian being a King "In Favor" means votes that agreed with Yrthilian remaining a King Simple count of the number of votes: Against: 49 In Favor: 46
Glad you had some fun Grido anyway, funny or not, it is so clear that even a Paper Cabin newb can see it I mean come on, first Yrthilian talks how Lifeline planned this all along (which implies that he wanted to abuse GG all along, which isn't true), how he suspected all this 'evil' and now it's time for him to act. Bla bla bla, only an idiot would believe that story 3 times in a row. Let's say that the makers are guilty, at least of ignorance if not anything else, but they certainly aren't guilty of "invading Golemus", that's ridiculous, and this issue has nothing to do with Marind Bell. Good job neg-repping Udgard, the most political-biased-less person in MD. Now, Firsanthalas, if I recall, Yrthilian, upon ending the 'war' with LR stated that there are number of people he won't see as leaders of Loreroot. He perhaps didn't directly throned you, but he just cleared a lot of obstacles on the path (despite you wanting to take the path or not, I'm just pointing out the MAJOR social power change after that 'war') since after that Blackthorn vanished, Raven left and abdicated the right on the title he wanted to claim (Archon of Loreroot if I recall). Number of things happened, but let's focus on the present. You can, Yrth, of course, feed number of people how you didn't want such and such to happen, but what do you know, it did happen anyway... 2 times Maybe you didn't aim for that, but both leader-changes were going in your advantage. (I don't count Shade Balance, I wasn't present then, and the "more recent ones" were all purely player made, in sense of motivations to wage war) You don't have to pull the trigger to kill someone, if that wasn't clear? moving on. Are you expecting me to answer to a question "How would a King of one land profit if he would plant some fresh friends as Kings in other lands"? I mean ok, it's a game, it's nothing personal, you do what you want, but do you really expect me to believe your reasoning? That for example, influencing that your best friend (in game at least, since you two know each other in RL) becomes king of Loreroot, was purely coincidental? Just say, I want to take your lands, I'm the sheriff around here, Booooo, and fine, we'll all play the game, but don't insult people's intelligence this way. Or I don't know, perhaps it is standard procedure for declaring wars in general, having "motives" in textbooks might make every 2nd or 3rd person believe that they are true. Ok I took it to extreme, like the war is already here, but you get my point. You can have hundreds of reasons to dethrone another king, I gave one, call it weak if you want, but I call your stated reason for making relations with Marind Bell hostile - ridiculous.
For now i am putting this forward. No Marind Bell player is allowed into Golemus and will be attacked on site. This is is responce to the Marind Bell leader/king setting up a training ground in Golemus without asking. The other people not citizens of Marind Bell are also not allowed to be in Golemus and will also be attacked on site. (I know this is not really much and difficult to enforce but it is a responce i can give and action with the helo of the land leaders)
the mood about "Golemus King needs to be asked before an event in Golemus can be placed" has my response: this sounds very hypocritical since Golemus citizen holds "Fight Club" event in MB (as far as I know without asking Lifeline to place it there) and nobody ever commented that in a wrong way (nor it should have), then Golemus citizen made a pub in Willow's shop (don't know is it still active?)... furthermore, if Marind Bell citizens aren't allowed in Golemus, will you restrain from sending your own citizens into Marind Bell? about the Drachorn Cave itself being restricted.... Mur will probably treat that, in any case at least you could have talked in private (as far as I know, you, Yrthilian, and Lifeline had pretty good relations before, which shouldn't undermine communication lines at all) From what I've heard, you and Lifeline have a history of cooperating on certain subjects, so the fact that you aren't speaking with him, but rather making conclusions in public (where Lifeline didn't post a response yet) leads me to following: This all looks to me like a farce to gain some profit from wagging a war to Marind Bell, or to put pressure on disturbing Lifeline's position (since someone was complaining recently about Lifeline, those two cases might be connected), and at least one is sure, this certainly wouldn't be the FIRST nor the SECOND time such poor excuse was being used to create warmongering mood, but this is the third time (at least in my score-books). Now let's look at the statistics. First war lead Firsanthalas having most social power, de facto taking Raven's position, while he was, what 5th or 6th person of importance before the war(?). Second war lead to an elections that replaced Jester at that point, Yrth's enemy, with Peace. (perhaps that wasn't intentional, I'm just stating the facts) Idea of third land-leader being replaced comes to me naturally. I hope this isn't the case tho. (tho I would be interested how would Golemus citizens react, if this was all true, this time, since first time they followed [LR threat-war], second time [invasion on Necro] lead to an unrest and an almost successful coup.) why I respond like this? There was an incident, and I don't see Yrthilian wanting to clear things up, I hear "I would go down the warpath if I was Yrth" and such comments, which Yrthilian accepted and acted upon.

btw in response to dst, how come telling someone that he/she is stupid is an insult, but telling weak isn't? (even if you didn't call anyone stupid nor naming people rats, but I'll stick to that weak then) both degrade the person that it is aimed at edit: I was pointing out that you were planting desinformations, that's not offtopic (if it is, than it is a response to your offtopic statements). That applies only to me, or you forgot the rules you're supposed to maintain, again? I'm having troubles adapting to your variable definitions of insulting, since you insult people all the time on forums, having fictional limits, and breaking them whenever you get insulted in the same way.
7. Happy birthday Neno Veliki! have a great time
8. people can now check when their accounts were made... if a certain person got suggested (like I plan to suggest Ravenstrider for that), who is above 100 AD but he was "created" in this year, it can easily be checked with a screenshot. I said it, but I guess nobody read it, so I'll repeat it, why taking only those that were made from the point of September (random guess) rather than from January, since it is Rookie of the Year, not Rookie of the Second Half Time.
9.
Doesnt matter if you are active on forums or not. I asked a question than any of MB people could have informed you about, you should reply promptly to such random sweeps, it shows you still exist. I didnt asked you why you dont write on the forum or what is it that you do, i just asked to see a reply, meaning you are there if needed.
for the record, I haven't seen the topic, before Lifeline responded anyway, otherwise I would let him know. Probably cause the Forum Topic has a name "Question" that, usually, isn't interesting at all, so probably a lot of people skipped to read it edit: grammar issues... usually I was annoyed that people use "now" instead of "know" but it seems the curse hit me as well
10. about "Most effective protector" that Kyphis suggested... what is the difference of "Most Effective" and "Best" protector? Some people will actually vote differently if there are both of those categories?
11. I think, about rookies of the year, we should choose from those that made their account from point of 1st January this year, onwards, since we are voting for the whole year, and not last few months.
12.
Why not once a week the system pop a screen between log in and the game with a +/- voter or a 1-5 scale of kingship satisfaction? The system could keep track of this and calculate it according to land. If it goes to a certain percentage or amount of dissatisfaction, a flag goes up letting Mur know.

if you implement citizen discontent via anonymous votes, it can always be abused by those that have hidden agendas, negative votes that do not represent the fault of a king, but the ambition of a citizen.
furthermore, if the vote isn't anonymous, then a citizen that gives a low remark will get his Christmas gifts accordingly
13. not at all. First, I see those very elections as a ridiculous thing. Mainlands' structures are supposed to be in some way of a competition with each other. That's the fun in most of games, competition, but allowing whole realm to vote for one mainland each is illogical to me, unless whole MD works like one organ, having several entities working their own job for something greater (which in that case, some things that inspire competition between lands would be pointless) What confuses me a lot, is that there ain't some concept rules of MD realm for us to build upon, axioms, those that are existent are needed to be found by ourselves deep within theories of theories, so the chances are likely that in some twisted case all this actually is normal. You can draw up some conclusions from the Adventure log, from the scenery, location poems... But in the end, they are theories, and you (as average player) can't present them as facts. For all I know, MD can actually represent the travel of our RL characters via computer into a mirrored world, rather than having a fictional world with role-player characters I don't "moan" about things cause they don't go on my advantage. I want things to be clear and fair, realistic, which isn't the case. (MD is great, but it can surely be better, and always can get better and better) Response to the first post: what you described, about the supported course of actions, is exactly lobbying. If an event requires your interference, and successful lobby (rather than the truth, that isn't spoiled by any positive or negative manner of it's participants), then, in my opinion, that shows that the case you're interfering into is going wrong. There will always be those minor details, but I'm not talking about them, kingdoms are a major detail on this realm. on topic response: if you implement citizen discontent via anonymous votes, it can always be abused by those that have hidden agendas, negative votes that do not represent the fault of a king, but the ambition of a citizen.
14.
Kings are not presidents, You have no clue about kings it seems. If you expect me to create a confortable alternate version of rl world.. you are WRONG. MD world has its rules, its own rules, and maybe if you would try to adapt and fit to them you would learn something out of it. Afterall you have "monarchy" or "dictators" or stupid rules all around you, a lot more real than just a game. You find them in school, work, even in traffic. This things are embeded deep in how we are. My judgement flaws or slips, is what makes such rules challenging. It is also my judgement that has always kept things at the edge of "doable" , allowing both backdoors but also unforseen oportunity to most of the laws and rules I placed. If you took your time to read my latest show of force article you would understand that in a world where the rules are the same for all, its only your fault if you cant follow them, you "Mirror" your own ...whats the word...incompetence? or lack of adaptation ability. Humanity survived because it can adapt, any individual not ready to adapt is expandable for evolution.
Our schools, works, have their rules, but they are made by the humans, and they can be changed by humans. World itself doesn't have social rules, but social rules are created by people that can change them. In here MD has "natural" social rules. Equivalent of MD's King in reality would be a King of Spain (let's say) with God's immunity to do what he wants, until someone has pretty good reasons to complain to God (and prayers take time to be read) so the God would do something... perhaps even make new elections where, no matter what the King did, he could be re-elected. What I would find more realistic and certainly more interesting is that Kings represent people, with certain people being able to enforce their rule if they are strong enough to (or be crushed if they try and fail), rather than people representing Kings. Military option for the rebels is certainly welcomed in that realistic aspect, but you disliked the idea originally when stating possible options (could you be more detailed about it? so I don't make assumptions on what was meant there, for the kings) Rules most certainly are not the same for everyone. By the way, I didn't try to degrade you in any way, I was pointing out that suggestions and criticism is welcome if you want to 'perfect' features, rather than accepting everything as already perfect as it was more rudely said in deleted topics. I'm certain you said somewhere that the beauty of life is in watching (perhaps it was someone else, irrelevant who was it anyway). Feedbacks of people's actions is great, and that's one thing, but enforcing of social rules by the one who should be above them is another thing. That's my point. And you are limiting interferance of the group itself to choose their leader.
15. it is pretty simple and practical-enough. sure it would be cool to have some sort of a pergament background, but would that damage the reading in a way or not, I don't know. maybe if "tag system" would be introduced in future posts... (unless topic description below the headline is reserved for that?) when someone is searching some posts, you could have tags like "war; auction; art..."
16. I dislike that military take overs ain't possible. So called "diplomacy" falls down to having people that are relatively close to Mur that can lobby to force some kind of change, and so called "diplomacy" has nothing to do with the gameplay. Rebels are supposed to fill some kind of non-written requirements so their demands can be fulfilled... pfff. Please make some basic rules on what can be expected of the feature without divine intervention. I think that the possibility of a military take over should be possible, also it can be used in land wars (most probably and for the best as well is that all kings maintain some kind of status quo when its about territory issues, but it is pretty logical that in an RP world that tries to make realistic environment and feedback it should be allowed for some King to mark his new territory and kick all the rest who defy him if he's strong enough to) I just find this "king immunity" concept ridiculous... Kings of certain groups are chosen from those groups, and it is up to the people to follow the person... To overthrow (if have enough power to) or serve if they want... But the system favors the king rather than any other group. Those roles shouldn't be called Kings at least, but Moderators of Mainlands.
17. so what, he's supposed to max cap and stay like that forever? there are ways for people to get through the mp5, just look at Ravenstrider, how quickly he evolved. sure there will be losses, but what's the fun without them?
18. bump, one BP sold, one remains. will accept 1 gold for it on quick trading
19. works fine for me. I'm idling in Winds Sanctuary, just drop in and PM me and I'll send you the CTC
20. Ravenstrider ran up on this... I have this avatar in my fault, and it seems pretty clear that it was copied by an MD artist from this site. Too bad, I kinda liked that old avatar.
21. manipulation doesn't mean you have a leader, that you become inferior to someone... it can be consist of telling what the other person wants to hear, to encourage her to make a wrong move or such... Pample is just a human (despite being female ), everyone makes mistakes, so don't think it was impossible
22. the feminists point is, she is just fine doing it all by herself it is funny really, Curios isn't debating was she plotting, but she was debating was she manipulated into it or not XD I'll mention, as Kafuuka did, that I'm not aware of all the details or who did what. I was just a bit annoyed with the picture I had in my mind of few girls being offended cause their idol image of a bad-ass woman is being disturbed (not much cause of the idol thing, but more of a 'sister-union' thing, which is quite often in MD).
23. Same thing happened to me while trying to regen on ERO. I confirm the problem
