I do not like the methods of the people coming to attack the GGG. I do not support the GGG, but neither do I think anyone has the right to force people to conform to how they think training should be done, since that is just tyranny (the exception would be Mur, since he made the game he can say if something is outside of its scope) However, giving the kings the ability to interfer in Neutral players lives (Something I Know won't happen) would be entirely the wrong thing to do. If you don't like a King, fine, you leave his land. But if he can still punish you even after you leave his land, there is no hope for justice. Neutral players are not bound by the laws of the kings - neither do they get the benefits of being under a king. Neutral players, unaffiliated players, need to still have the privileged of freedom that being landless gives.

Also, I am currently maxed at 11 mill, so attacks that would normally reduce or increase my experience are not a problem. (I meant the basic [In/Out|~V~|~L~|Player|You lost|Enemy lost|Rounds|Time] logs, since what they attack me with is largely outside the rules of engagement. [/quote] aaront, because MP5 is able to reduce it's PE, it is always possible to grow stronger at that level. If you turned MP6 into another fighting stage, then you would have to decide if you allowed the MP5 to retain their ability to reduce their PE. The reason MP3/4 have a fixed cap is because they are about learning how to use the combat system. A basic (and inaccurate) breakdown is that MP3 teaches you to stay balanced and use basic creatures, as well as raise them. MP4 teaches you about how to stay balanced in a more complex combat environment (the requirements to get victories or losses), as well as giving you a broader range of creatures to experiment with. If MP5 was just another learning stage, the way it currently stands it would be redundant. This is without even considering the Story Mode implications. Also, because the longer you stay at MP3/4 the harder it is to compete with the veterans, making it so that you have another stage before you reach them is even worse (Note: rushing is worse then waiting too long)

I understand what you are saying Burns and dst. I stayed at MP3 for almost a year. I capped in my first month. Guess how long I spent at GGG? Two months, [b]at the end[/b]. And in that whole time, most MP3 where terrified of me. Rather than gain stats, I had focused on how the combat actually worked, and I learnt a heap. By the time I left MP3 I had almost every creature, and I had studied them all. When I came to MP4, I spent a while at the GGG (about 4 months). And you know what? [b]It drove me mad[/b]! It was the most boring, inane, and pointless time in MD I have ever spent. HOWEVER It was also invaluable for training all of those creatures I had not been able to train because I was at cap on MP3. I don't play for combat, never have. The fact that I am good at it is irrelevant, Mur could remove the whole combat system and it wouldn't bother me. But Being able to train safely is a [b]good thing[/b] What I [b]Don't like[/b] is people staying at the GGG just to gain stats. For one, it doesn't fullfile the role of the lower MP levels, [b]to learn how to survive[/b] at MP5. For the most part, stats no longer decide combat. The best they can do is dampen the damage of bad tactics, which is all that comes out of the GGG. And as far as getting stats go, it's moronic to use the GGG to gain stats "fast" since you not only get more stats from normal combat, you get them faster! If you know what you are doing you can gain 50-[b]150[/b] attack in one day, without sacrificing anything! BUT Attacking the GGG in a scorched earth policy is, to me, blatantly wrong. All you do is annoy people, and encourage them to leave MD forever. Most people train at the GGG because they think the MP5's will kick their arse when they go up. What is a scorched earth policy? MP5 coming to GGG and kicking their arse. "Duh... I'm smart! I'll re-inforce their fears and prove how correct they are in useing the GGG!" Good work.... A scorched earth policy will NEVER destroy a training ground (sorry dst, I do know how annoying you could be if you wanted to, but you know you won't actually be able to stop it) Yes, it will force it to move. Yes, it will cause it to split. [b]No[/b], it will not cause it to disappear. [b]Yes, it will encourage them that they HAVE to use this tactic to survive at MP5[/b] AGAIN I do not mind the GGG. It is a good training ground. What I do NOT like is people staying there just to grind. That detracts from the MD [i]Community[/i]. What was that word? [i][b]Community[/b][/i]! Because that is what we are. Not a pack of thugs. Not isolationists. A [u]Community[/u]. If you think back to Willows, the Main reason that that sort of training ground is not viable is stat damage. [b]Something Muratus del Mur implemented[/b]. The only way that the GGG can be "fixed" is by Mur now, because too many people will insist it stays. [b]You can crusade all you want, but they will crusade right back at you. And you know what? I suspect that "D" stands for Darigan, but it may also stand for danger. Darigan just seems the more likely.

[/quote] By "to late" I don't mean it is impossible. Look at the other things I said. What I mean was that the damage had already been done in terms of grinding (its been around for what, a year and a half now?), and far to many people know how to do it for it to be possible to prevent them from useing this form of training in small groups (say, two people) without Mur himself intervening. Sure, it is possible to prevent the GGG from existing. But any method you could use WILL only harm the WHOLE of MD. The only viable solution is to make it un-worthwhile to the majority of people who use it: Grinders. There are lots of ways of going about that, however so far in this topic I have not seen any other suggestions. It's all very well to point out a problem, but if you can't suggest a solution that isn't worse, what good do you do?
