Due to the game being down, Story Night will need to be delayed until at least 24 hours after the server is back up. The new times will be posted in the Mood panel once established. [/quote] You ignore the Archives, Maze, and Underground. The Archives have no Leader, even though it has Alliances, and the Underground is in the same situation. The Maze is different in that you can't become a citizen of it, but it does have citizens, and no ruler. There are four non-main, or "free" as you put it, lands to join that have no "supreme ruler", as you put it, just as there are 4 main lands with "supreme rulers", as you put it.

I don't know if this is still going on, but it was in the announcements that Money Bookers payments could be used to generate Credit Codes. Minimum payment is 20 dollars, and it takes a few days, but you can get all sorts of amounts to award instead of just 5/10/20 credit selection.

[/quote] If you look back into the history of MD by about 1 year, ie before Kings where instituted, you will see Golemus with a King who happened to be yrthilian; Necrovion with a Queen who happened to be Peace, the person who appointed Jester; Loreroot with an emerging King at the end of the Councils reign; and MB with an informal Military leader group that included Lifeline, the current King. During the Necrovion/Golemus war, When Grido refused to participate, yrthilian ex-communicated him. It was this exercise of power that caused the formalizing of the Kings position. This sort of event had occurred in the past, as well. The point I am making is that before "Mur appointed" the kings, they where already there, doing what they where doing. The only difference is that now they can do it faster (a good thing) and they have a treasury (ALSO a good thing). And in addition to that, I get a fair bit done with the other neutral alliances, most recently I am helping Curiose and TGW to set up their Story Night Project. The only input any kings have is the sponsoring of Wishpoints if any stories are considered worthy, and from the rarity of WP's being awarded on story nights in the past, it is probable that they won't need to do that very often (unless we get some spectacular writers who have hidden until now). Almost all of the sponsoring for prizes comes from the Nuetral lands. So... not really getting why you are blaming the "creator instated" authorities '~' I noticed in your post that you said that was the easiest example of what you where thinking of, but it might be a lot better if you gave, y'know, MORE than one example? [/quote] From what I hear, the method I think you are thinking of (the one in the announcements) isn't actually implimented yet, but yes, there is one planned (just needs Mur to get the chapters finished ) Due to the bug with the Heretics when they where changed, many people (myself included) no longer have the principles they originally chose. I chose as Peace did, based on the principles I used in real life and was most likely to use as a character, based on my understanding that the principles would be the main factor in how we went about impacting the realm. I know have only one of those original principles, and that I got from going MP4. And beside that, from my understanding of Inner Magic, this will consume Principle Points, meaning we have yet another way to reduce our principles. This doesn't remove our selections, but it does allow us to tailor them when used with the proposed (by Mur) method to re-pick our principles. So this was already going ahead

I also prefer to receive them on the Forum, and I make time to discuss anything that I think needs to be discussed (format, length, etc). Typically, I won't be able to give much advice about composition before the presentation, as I do some judging (I decide who gets what of the prizes I offer), but if you want my opinion on how to improve a piece after it has been presented that is a large part of what I, and the Legend Speakers, are here for

I have to agree with Pip. It's not a bad idea, per se, it just isn't really necessary.

I think a better way to change it would be to make the stat boost also act the same on the creatures. ie: Sword x increases attack by 50%, creature has 10 attack, after armour boost is applied it has 15 attack. That said, I think that would be difficult to code, and I see absolutely no point in changing it like that. Before the armour was changed to act as a % they where only useful to MP3s, but now they are useful up to the early part of MP5. Thier not perfect, but they are good. I think that if any work was going to be done on the armour sets then it would be best to have sets completed, rather than unbalancing a curently working armour system.
